The May Square is located in the Porteño Downtown, neighborhood of Monserrat, in the area where the foundation of Buenos Aires took place. The Plaza de Mayo is the most important and oldest public square of the city. The name of this square commemorates the Revolution of May 25, 1810, date in which the citizens gathered around to expel the Viceroy and form a creole government. Since then, the Square has been a silent witness to the most important political and social events in the country.
San Telmo is an old neighborhood with a bohemian touch thanks to its temporary art galleries, night bars and street murals. The Defensa street, full of antique shops and bustling brasseries, passes through the Dorrego square, where many tourists come on Sundays to see the street market and street performances. Winding roads run through Lezama Park among jacaranda trees. The neighborhood is full of exclusive restaurants with tango shows.
La Boca is a working class neighborhood that has several attractions next to the Riachuelo. Asadores and street artists mark the entire Caminito, a narrow alley flanked by brightly colored zinc houses that evoke its origin as an immigrant neighborhood. The Bombonera is the Boca Juniors stadium and a whole hotbed on match days. The Proa Foundation is a museum of modern art with temporary exhibitions and views of the old docks.
Caminito is a museum alley and a traditional passage, of great cultural and tourist value, located in the La Boca neighborhood of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The place acquired cultural significance because it inspired the music of the famous tango Caminito (1926), composed by Juan de Dios Filiberto.
Puerto Madero is a renovated neighborhood that faces the bay. Its renovated redbrick buildings house exclusive grills frequented by tourists and businessmen at lunchtime. There are also modern skyscrapers with multinationals and luxury apartments. The lakes in the area are surrounded by trails, as is the ecological reserve Costanera Sur, very popular with runners and families. The elegant suspension bridge of the Woman connects the ports.
Retiro is a neighborhood with great diversity and quiet streets. Art galleries and chic coffee shops lead to the emblematic and busy train station of Retiro, British style and surrounded by fast food stalls. The art deco tower of the Kavanagh building offers views of the Plaza San Martín, a steep park where office employees rest in the shelter of jacaranda and patriotic monuments. Tourists flock to the Florida pedestrian street for its leather goods boutiques, souvenir stalls and tango dancers.
The Recoleta is a famous neighborhood in the city of Buenos Aires. It is located in a distinguished area of the city and It was inaugurated ending the eighteenth century. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions of the city, famous for its numerous and imposing buildings. Its architectural value is a sample of the times when Argentina was an emerging economic power in the late eighteenth century, and the wealthiest families of the city began moving to the Recoleta area.

Our driver met us in the lobby of our hotel the day of our arrival. I booked the 3 hour private tour of the city so we could get an idea of what we would want to further explore and visit while in Buenos Aires. Enrique was amazing ! He was born and raised in BA and also spoke good English. He drove us around the southern end of the city and showed us so many sights and explained so much history too. He also gave us the best recommendations for local restaurant favorites - and he was spot on with everything ! I highly recommend him and this tour
Pablo our tour guide was very knowledgeable and amazing. He showed us around and gave us so much knowledge
My wife and I truly enjoyed this Buenos Aires tour before our cruise. Our guide, Carolina, was fantastic and made the experience memorable from start to finish. She shared so much about the city’s culture and history, and pointed us to the best spots for souvenirs and delicious local food. We learned a lot and felt completely immersed in the spirit of Buenos Aires. We highly recommend this tour — Carolina made our visit unforgettable.
Great tour. Alejandra was a fantastic guide. She took the time to get to know our small group and customized the tour based on our interests and pace. Her knowledge of the area is incredible, and she made the entire experience engaging and fun. The four hours flew by. Highly recommend her to anyone visiting
Four of us went on a 3 hour private tour with a driver and Ailin as our guide. We were picked up on time at the Cruise ship port with a very comfortable van. We had visited Buenos Aires before and we discussed with Ailin the things that we particularly wished to see on this tour. She and the driver were very accommodating and flexible - stopping at various sites, as we requested. Ailin communicated in English very well, was knowledgeable and very pleasant. All of us thought that this was an excellent tour.
Carolina did an excellent job. She was knowledgeable and gave us history, as well as art and culture.
Guide was enthusiastic and informative. A very proud Argentinian!
We had a brief stay and Pablo took us to the main neighborhoods in Buenos Aires and showed us the highlights! Highly recommend for anyone with limited time. We were able to get a flavor of the city and know what we will want to do if we ever return.
Denise and Jose were great hosts. This was an excellent first experience to get our bearing in the city. Would strongly recommend as a day 1 activity.
It was fun to hit the highlights of the city. We got a sense of the history of the city and the current ways if life in BA and now know where to go back, because we are definitely going back to Argentina.
Leo was an incredible guide. He and the driver picked us up at our AIRBNB in Palermo Hollywood and took us on a great tour of the city. He was very knowledgeable and also helpful in suggesting an itinerary based on what we wanted to see. I would absolutely recommend this tour when visiting Argentina. We were a family of 8 with 2 kids and there was something interesting for everyone.
Our sightseeing tour with our guide Marcelo was fantastic! He drove us through the city perfectly, showed us great places and gave us great and useful information! We can recommend signature tours and Marcelo 100%! Thank you so much! Javier, Judith and boys!
This was a wonderful experience. Myriam did a really good job in letting me know about the insights of the City and it´s amazing history. It was a wonderful 3 hour private tour although I was able to add an extra 2 hours! Thanks to the Signature Tours team that did an amazing job.
Excellent tour. Our guide Miriam was superb. Took us to the highlights of the city. It was completely customized. Made it easy for us to understand the city its history and colorful neighborhoods. Excellent knowledge of the history and the social aspects of the city.
Our guide and driver were exceptional. Guide was very knowledgeable and helpful! It was a great tour of a great city.
Diego was wonderful - knowledgeable, friendly, articulate, and showed us absolutely fascinating parts of Buenos Aires we never knew existed. Thank you!
Highly recommend Nicholas and Leo for a private 3 hr tour. We were picked up promptly in a comfortable van. Driver and tour guide were both very personable, well spoken, intelligent and informative. It was a perfect overview of the city and we also appreciated their recommendations for the next day.
Our guide - Rosty - was superb. Truly a renaissance man! He gave us a lifetime of memories in a single 3 hour tour.
Our group of 12 was met at the airport by our guide, Rosty. He was an amazing guide and we connected with him right away. He shared his vast knowledge of Argentina history, culture, economy, politics, and local tips while giving us wonderful tour of the beautiful city of Buenos Aires. He adapted the tour on the fly so it would not cover the sights that our cruise tour was going to take us on a day later. Booking our airport shuttle/city tour online, through communications with Gabriela was easy. Thank you Rosty and Gabriela!!
Diego was amazing! Very knowledgeable and charismatic. He talked to us in English, Spanish and French. The tour was excellent, we went to Recoleta, Casa Rosada, Plaza de Mayo, Catedral, Centro, La Boca, Caminito, Plaza Madero. We would highly recommend it!
We had a five hour tour with our guide Rosty . He was very passionate about Argentina history. We would have never understood the history in Plaza de May , Metropolitan Cathedral , La Recoleta cemetery and the La Boca neighborhood . We had wonderful day and would highly recommend .
Our guide Ernan was excellent and so informative. Great way to get an overview and history of the city. Highly recommend!
My daughter and I spent 8 days at the Alvear Icon Hotel as part of our Antarctica vacation. The Concierge, Francisco, set up a 3 hour tour of the City with Daniela Elias, which was one the highlights of our Buenos Aires stay. However nothing could top the excitement in the City with Argentina winning the the Semi and Final 2022 World Soccer Cup. I prefer private tours because we can move at our pace. I am so glad she kept in mind my daughter's request to visit the Recoleta Cemetery. I highly recommend Daniela and the option of having a private tour.
Our group of 10 had an excellent 3-day/4-night tour with Jessica. We were all very impressed with Jessica’s historical knowledge and her personal attention to our needs. She and our driver, Nico, took very good care of us. I would highly recommend Jessica as she is not only very knowledgeable but also extremely personable in both English and Spanish.
We did it all....Gala Tango show dinner wine tasting Tigre history shopping all based on our desires and customized to our group. Jessica is and was absolutely fabulous and ..we wanted to take her home with us. Along with Nico our driver. We want to come back soonest.
Our guide, Alicia, was very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and eager to cater to our requests. She arrived on-time with Diego, our driver, to pick us up. She shared her thoughts on the plan and was eager to cater to our requests. We highly recommend this tour as city overview so that you can select places you want to go back to.
Great guide and great way to see the city in a short time frame. Hernan’s English was great! You see all the city districts and any custom sites you wish.
This tour was a nice introduction to Buenos Aires. They are somewhat flexible and may adjust the itinerary if there is a local sight you want to see that is not on their itinerary. Give them a head's up at the beginning of the tour, though, so they have time to plan.
We took a private tour with signature tours of the city of Buenos Aires. The guide was knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and met our needs. The coach was clean and the driver was very good. We turned a three hour tour into a six hour tour. It was wonderful. Highly recommended.
We only had a few days in Buenos Aires and decided that the best way to maximize time in this amazing city was to book a half-day private tour. Our guide, Enrique Lapeña, was outstanding as was our driver. Pickup at our hotel was prompt and we spent a few moments outlining what we most wanted to see and do. The list included La Boca, Recolletta, Floralis Generica, Palermo Hollywood, the El Ateneo Bookstore, and Plaza de Mayo. Enrique provided excellent, in depth commentary about the history of Buenos Aires and managed to get us to every location on our list without ever feeling rushed. He provided ample walking opportunities at each location and was also very accommodating in having the driver stop whenever something caught my eye mid-route. As a photographer, that was a huge plus! I highly recommend Enrique and Signature Tours for private city tours in Buenos Aires. Thank you so much for an amazing day!
We arranged this tour at the last minute as unfortunately a previous booking was cancelled on us the evening before. We were lucky to have Daniella as our guide and Marcello as our driver.Daniella was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about Argentina’s history and was able to answer all our questions. We feel we were almost lucky that our previous tour had been cancelled
Our guide Alejandra Morris was excellent. Knowledgeable, enjoyable, accommodating. We recommend her highly.
our guide ana was great, we enjoyed the tour and the city, ana was very knowledgeable, ask for her in your next tour
Wonderful tour. Ilan, our guide was excellent - knowledgeable, attentive and interesting. We covered a lot of the city in the 3 hours.
Booked Signature Tours for a private Buenos Aires city tour (3 hours) through Project Expedition by our travel agent. Our guide was Julieta Lagache and our driver was Enrique. There were two of us in a very nice, clean, comfortable sedan. They picked us up on time and we spent an unexpectedly enjoyable experience getting to know Buenos Aires in a way we never would have accomplished on our own. We visited the important town squares, the central neighborhoods, local markets, churches and the Recolleta Cemetery. Julieta speaks very good English and is quite the historian, able to explain the roles of the important generals and politicians (e.g. the Perons). This was a very good investment to get to know the city having come early to catch a cruise ship and spend two days in B.A. to see the sights and enjoy some Argentinian cuisine. Highly recommend Julieta in particular! Gracias, Julieta!
Florence and Nicholas were fun and professional and gave us an informative and interesting tour of BA.
Excellent in every way. Joanna was well informed, kind, and extremely accommodating. I recommend fully.
To Travellers Who Wish To Visit Buenos Aires My wife and I had been assigned a work detail in Brazil and Argentina. This was our first time ever in South America and with only one full day of in each country, we were eager to see the cities of Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. Sao Paulo was, well, different, and not connected to Signature Tours. But I am writing this to comment on the experience we had in Buenos Aires. Fortunately for us, the concierge at the Park Tower Hotel wisely suggested Signature Tours when we asked about a city tour of Buenos Aires. Arrangements were made for a pick up at 915 AM and when we went to the lobby we met our guide for the day, Romina. This dynamic young woman impressed us immediately with her charm, friendliness, and fluency in English (important to me, but my spouse is able to communicate quite well). She explained exactly what the itinerary would be and while I had not taken the time to research the sites in advance, I suddenly found myself ambitiously wanting to get the tour underway, as her description influenced our eagerness. We made three separate stops and each one gave us a unique perspective of the capital. We were brought to different neighborhoods and each one had its own definitive quality and architecture. These places were brilliantly selected to share the diversity of the areas available to visitors. And, I cannot overstate Romina's witty and eclectic use of humor to illustrate the nuances of Buenos Aires and Argentinian life in general. In this age of potentially hot button political opinions, she simply stated historical facts and always colored it with dashes of wit, irony, national self criticism, and when necessary, a pinch of sarcasm. What a joy, she kept smiles on the visitors' faces throughout the day. I am so glad that we had the opportunity to take this tour. It gave us the right amount of knowledge, history, and city geography to navigate ourselves independently for the remainder of our stay. I HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning about the city and seeing the pertinent sites. If there is a way to required Romina as your guide, you must. You are in for a genuine Argentinian treat. Seven stars out of Six! Dan & Elda from NYC
Had a wonderful introduction to Buenos Aires today with the lovely Ana Ines on a signaturetour. We got a great overview of the city abs Ana presented a very balanced view of the history and the political difficulties over the years. I wish we had booked a full day tour so that we could have spent more time at some of the places but we had lunch and retraced our steps to get great photos of sights we had only seen from the bus.
Patricia Vickers, was our tour guide, she was great, English speaking, has lived in BA all her life, knows everything about the places she took us. We could of done this on our own but it would of taken us a couple of days. If, you are looking for a short 3 hour tour this is your best bet.
Excellent tour with informative and pleasant guide. Got a real taste of BA so we could go back & explore. recommended if first time in BA. Punctual pick up
Last week, we enjoyed a great city tour with my family. We wanted to visit the main spots in Buenos Aires but focus on Argentinean History. Along with our guide Alex, we visited plaza de Mayo, La Boca, famous for its colorful conventilos and Boca stadium. Finally, we made a stop at Recoleta cemetery, where Alex told us about some amazing stories! Excellent Tour!
Our guide ana was excellent and we enjoyed her tour very much, in addition to showing us the most important areas she answered all our doubts, excellent!
Arranged a private guided tour with Signaturetour through the hotel, and we are absolutely delighted. Our guide, Natalia, was prompt, personable, and above all, very accommodating, since one of the travelers has disability. We took the tour at our pace, never felt rushed. It is one thing to see the sights, it is quite another to have local insights, which Natalia offered plenty. We talked about culture, history, current events, and yes, even politics and football. We will for sure be recommending this company and Natalia to our friends and family.
Excellent tour and great guide (Natalia)!!.We went around BA with excellent information about the city and its history. Although rainy we were able to go everywhere we wanted to.
Tour are customised in private and the SignatureTour provided services as agreed. Ms Juliet the guide is the best and knowledgeable

Our tour guide, Romina, was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the history, culture and politics of Buenos Aires. She tailored the tour to our specifications. The tour bus was clean and safe. We highly recommend this tour for families with kids and teenagers.

This was simply the finest private tour I ever took. Natalie was our host and was the most knowledgeable, accommodating and interesting guide we ever had. She was there to greet us as we arrived at the Buenos Aires airport and promptly gathered our belongings to start our tour. She had a general plan in place to visit all of the key sights but first asked how she could tailor it to meet our desires. It wasn't just a driving tour either. We got out and visited locations such as La Boca, Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires Cathedral, and the Recoleta Cemetery. While we were able to see many fun and fascinating locations she also took us to small cafes and other locations to get a feel for the culture. I highly recommend this tour and especially Natalie if she is available.

Marcela from Signature was FABULOUS. Thank you for such a great tour. Her English was wonderful! This was the perfect tour!
