Muhammad was an excellent host and driver. He was amenable to our request to change up the tour schedule which was perfect. His knowledge of the city and enthusiasm was exceptional. We enjoyed everything, even with the rainy weather.

Floralis Genérica is a metal sculpture located in the Plaza de las Naciones Unidas, Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, presented to the city by the Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano (1917-2010). The structure was inaugurated on April 13, 2002 with materials provided by the aircraft company Lockheed Martin Aircraft Argentina. The sculpture is located in the center of a park of four hectares of wooded boundaries, surrounded by paths that approach and distance providing different perspectives of the monument and located above a mirror of water, which apart from fulfilling its aesthetic function, protects it. It represents a large flower made of stainless steel, with aluminum skeleton and reinforced concrete, which looks towards the sky, extending towards it its six petals. It weighs 18 tons and is 23 meters high.
The Recoleta Cemetery is a famous cemetery in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta and contains the graves of well-known people. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, famous for its numerous and imposing mausoleums and vaults adorned with marbles and sculptures. Its architectural value is a sample of the times when Argentina was an emerging economic power at the end of the 19th century, and the more affluent families of the city began to move to the area of Recoleta and build splendid pantheons in the cemetery. Many of its mausoleums and vaults are the work of important architects and more than 90 have been declared a National Historic Monument. The cemetery itself has been considered a National Historical Museum since 1946.
Ateneo Grand Splendid is a bookstore located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires. It stands out for being where the Grand Splendid Theatre did, having preserved the original architecture of that theater, but being in turn readapted to function as a bookshop. In 2008, it was chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as the second most beautiful bookstore in the world, and in 2019, National Geographic declared it the most beautiful in the world
It is a palace located in front of the Plaza de Mayo that functions as the seat of the National Government. This imposing pink building occupies the site where the Fort of Buenos Aires was erected in 1580. It was the residence of Spanish viceroys and then housed, with some reforms, the authorities of the successive national governments. The current building is the product of the merger of two previous constructions: the presidential headquarters and the Palacio de Correos (on the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Balcarce).
In the building worked the Cabildo of the City of the Holy Trinity and Port of Our Lady of Buen Ayre, an institution that was initially a colonial chapter founded by Juan de Garay in 1580 during the second foundation of the city of Buenos Aires and that after the May Revolution of 1810. Since November 1939 the building works as a museum.
The Puente de la Mujer, one of the emblems of the Puerto Madero neighborhood, is the first work in Latin America by the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and represents another example of the City permanently seeking to position itself at the forefront of art and architecture in the entire region. It is a revolving pedestrian bridge with one of the largest turning mechanisms in the world, designed to allow the passage of sailing vessels that navigate the docks of Puerto Madero. The work, made in Spain and donated to the City by a private individual, represents the image of a couple dancing tango, where the white pole symbolizes the man and the curved silhouette of the bridge is the woman.
The market was inaugurated in February 1897 with the aim of supplying the necessary food to the new wave of immigrants arriving in the city from the Old Continent. The building retains its original internal structure, formed by beams, arches and metal columns with veneer and glass ceilings. In the center stands a large dome. The project is by Juan Antonio Buschiazzo (1845-1917), the second architect to obtain his degree in Buenos Aires. Buschiazzo came from Italy at the age of four and during the intendence of Torcuato de Alvear he served as Director of Public Works of the City. He designed banks, hospitals, residences and government buildings, and was one of the main people responsible for the Avenida de Mayo project. In 2000, the market was declared a National Historic Monument by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.
The Bombonera is the heart of Boca Juniors, and one of the most famous stadiums in the world. It became a kind of football monument. Before reaching this building, inaugurated in 1940, the club was local in a with wooden grandstands. It has a horseshoe-shaped structure, with three overlapping trays and a steep angle of inclination that resembles a box of chocolates, hence its popular name. The few meters that separate the playing field from the stands allow a great proximity between spectators and teams, which makes the experience of going to see a game indescribable.
Caminito is the most famous pedestrian street in Buenos Aires. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city due to its colorful houses and its deep historical and cultural significance. Caminito is located in the popular La Boca neighborhood, on the coast of the Riachuelo River and just 400 meters from La Bombonera, the Boca Juniors stadium. It is a 150 meter long curved pedestrian walkway where important artistic works can be seen.

Didn’t call, contact, or show up. Didn’t even say anything to apologize or even attempt to explain. Just awful.
We visited many interesting places. This was Independence Day and the people were really out. We have taken many tours around the world. Christian was not very attentive. He walked far ahead of us and was not very interactive. For example, in the Rose Garden he parked the car and sent us on our way. Just very different than our other guides through Viator.
Very informative. Great suggestions to where to go. Emiliano was an absolute pleasure to have him as our guide.
Excellent way to get introduction to city. Guide ask if we wanted to see other sites, able to customize. Very friendly, knowledgeable experience.
Ailen our guide was excellent. She gave us many perspectives about the street art of Argentina including cultural, political and historical. She engaged us with questions about our thoughts on the various graffiti motifs. She certainly opened our minds to the artists of Buenos Aires .
We booked this for as a group of four, to start at 1:00 pm after an overnight flight. Driver, Andy, communicated with us ahead of time via WhatsApp which was great because we were running late from the airport. Andy is enthusiastic and knowledgeable and tailored this trip to our preferences. Great way to see the city if you have limited time
I did two Buenos Aires city tours about a fortnight apart, the first was with Pablo and he was very informative and I enjoyed the experience with him. The second tour was with Daniel and I explained what we had seen already with Pablo and could he adjust his normal tour to suit our needs, this he did very successfully without notice and was a very pleasant person to engage with. He filled a lot of gaps regarding the places we hadn’t visited which, combined with Pablo’s knowledge made it a great experience.
Christian was prompt, very personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time together and will recommend him to family and friends visiting.
This was an amazing experience! Our tour guide, Daniel, was very knowledgeable and professional. He was very friendly, and we all laughed throughout the tour! I was able to take amazing pictures of historical landmarks through the city, and Daniel made certain I was in the right spot for the best shot! If we had more time in the city, I’d definitely call Daniel for another great tour! When you book this trip, please ask for Daniel! He is wonderful and is amazing at his job!! Thanks Daniel!!!
Pablo was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. He accommodated our wish to visit the Cathedral for the Palm Sunday service, which was stunning. We enjoyed our tour, despite a few rain sprinkles. Pablo's sunny disposition made our day.
This is an amazing tour for an introduction of Buenos Aires. Covered a lot and gives you a great idea of what the city has to offer and of interesting history and facts about the city. Definitely recommend. And my guide Mohamed was fantastic!
Book this now, you will love it!! Squeezed a four hour tour into a long layover, sooooo worth it! Mohamed you were the best, we all loved it, even Rick and Avery getting sleepy from our overnight flight. We can’t wait to come back, we learned so much and had so much fun! Happy cow everything next time…Thank You!! Thank You!!
Alex knows the city very well, is casual and adapts to the preference of the visitor. He is willing to go above and beyond to create a good experience.
Our city tour with Richard was awesome! His communication before picking us up at our hotel was great. He made us feel safe, was very knowledgeable about the city and tailored the places we visited to our needs which made the afternoon even more special. What great memories we have of that experience!
Interesting and informative with a very knowledgeable guide. We saw the important highlights, yet at a deep level.
Daniel picked us up at a location very near to where we were staying then told us he could have picked us up at our hotel. So kind! We covered alllllll the highlights of this amazing town and learned so much! It's obvious how much Danial loves the history of this country as we are going home with such an appreciation of the culture. We know very little Spanish and his English was amazing! He was able to share info and answer our many questions. We definitely recommend this tour and hope you get Daniel as your guide!
It is an absolutely amazing city tour. We saw so many sights. Pablo was an incredible your guide. Very knowledgeable & personable. He gave us so much history of Buenos Aires & Argentina too.
Richard picked us up at our accommodations and customized the schedule to our liking. A very good guide and knew a lot about the city and took us to some really great places! Recommend this tour and hope you get Richard!
Great tour across several city neighborhoods, so you get a good sense of the city. Sebastian our guide was so great about accommodating our 5 hour flight delay, and giving us the local’s perspective on living here.
A superb day trip with our enthusiastic & knowledgeable guide Ariel (and helpfully organised by Priscilla and Roccio). Ariel shared his passion for the city with insights regarding the many Italian immigrants between the wars and their hardships. Highlights included visits to the imposing 20m sculpture Floralis Generica, the beautiful roses and grounds of the Rosedal De Palermo, a tour of the embassy district and a racecourse, views of the Obelisk, Avenida de Mayo, a visit to the Museo Evita (at our own request), the huge bookshop within an old theatre (El Ateneo), followed by a tour of the colourful Caminito district of La Boca with a flavour of tango dancers and street art, some showing the impoverished living conditions of the settlers, with a lunch stop at a famous steak cafe overlooking the exotic street. We saw the famous D-shaped football ground of La Bombonera decked in its vibrant blue & yellow (after a Swedish flagged ship arriving in the port) and effigies of famous sons Maradona & Messi. Back across the city we wandered around the San Telmo market full of alluring smells, leather goods and antiques, then on to the classical Parliament buildings and the Plaza de Mayo with its elegant Cathedral (home of former Pope Francis) and the pink government building of the Casa Rosada, with the famous balcony used by various Presidents and Eva Peron to appeal to the crowds below. Finally a visit to the emotive tombs and mausoleum of the rich and famous at Recoleta including the final resting place of Eva Peron within the Duarte family tomb. An excellent day’s tour of a very fine city, brought alive by our passionate guide who tailored the event to our needs - definitely worth booking the six hour tour!
Fantastic private guided tour of Buenos Aires this afternoon with Cristian. He was on-time, extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Highly recommended.
Knowledgeable and friendly driver who listened to what we wanted from our tour and duly delivered it. Cristian was polite and considerate and adapted his route to take into consideration our age and tiredness after a long flight. A very safe driver in whose company we felt very comfortable.
We saw quite a few different neighborhoods and tourist attractions and got a good sense of Buenos Aires in a few hours. Pablo was a wonderful tour guide!
We booked on a short notice. Everything worked perfectly well from booking until returning to our cruise ship. The driver was at the meeting point even half an hour too early, drove safely, was a good guide and extremely friendly. Overall, a perfect experience!
Juan, our tour guide for this tour was exceptional. His knowledge of the city far exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend taking this tour. This was the best way to truly see all the nice points of the city , you will not be disappointed.
Absolutely fabulous! Mohammed is very knowledgeable and we had so much fun. Very pleasant tour guide and spoke great english.
Excellent guide. Gave lots of fun information. Knew so much history. Pablo was wonderful. Would do it again
This was a superb tour, well worth the money. Juan was an excellent guide, very informative, friendly and willing to shape the tour to our interests, we both greatly enjoyed the experience.
We took this tour as a family of 4 people. We had a blast. The tour lasted just over 4 hours and our driver, Andy, was very friendly and knowledgeable. This tour took us to the main sites that we wanted to visit. We were picked-up and dropped off at our hotel, which made it very easy. We had an amazing time exploring with Andy, who treated us just like friends visiting from out of town. I would highly recommend this tour.
What a great tour. We had very limited time in Buenos Aires having flown in late the night before and having to meet our cruise early afternoon. As our tour had not organised anything for the morning I went to Tripadvisor on the off chance there was something available. I found this tour which was available at 8am for 4 hours finishing at midday. We only had until 11.30 so we contacted Christian (our tour guide) and he tailored the tour to fit our time schedule. Christian was brilliant, picked us up on time, was informative and flexible. As it was a Sunday and traffic was light we managed to squeeze everything in anyway. Thank you Christian for a fantastic tour.
First of all a big shout out to Rocio from Argentina Highlights. We had originally booked our tour for 12:00 but with a 4 1/2 hour delay we were only touching down at 11:40. I had contacted Rocio to let him know that there was a problem and that we would have to cancel our tour. Without hesitation, and at very short notice, he reorganised the tour to 15:00. That’s outstanding customer service! Having eventually checked in to our hotel we were able to get a quick shower and were ready to explore Buenos Aires. Our guide, Richard, messaged to say he was on the way and gave the licence plate for his car so we could identify him. Richard was personable and, from the outset, clearly knowledgable about Buenos Aires and with excellent English. During our 4 hour tour we visited the main districts and their tourist spots. Highlights for us were the Casa Rosado, Plaza de Mayo, the Metropolitan Cathedral with the mausoleum of El Liberator José de San Martin and Caminito in La Boca but we saw so much more. Dealing with the early rush hour traffic was even part of the experience. Richard was very accommodating allowing more time where we wanted to spend it including having a quick beer in Plaza Dorrego in San Telmo (visit on a Sunday if you can for the street market). We hadn’t known what to expect of Buenos Aires but Richard showed us the best of this vibrant, green (the parks are amazing) and lively city which reminded us of European capitals with the architecture of many of the buildings. Based on our experience I’m happy to recommend this tour which we agreed was a genuine 5 stars.
Cristian was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and was very eager to share that with us. He showed us all the sites that we read about and were encourage to see. He took the time to make sure we saw it all! He gave additional recommendations on places to eat especially in the vicinity of our hotel. He was very pleasant. He did not rush us or push us to do anything. He was a great driver! We had a great time! I would highly recommend both the service and Cristian.
Sebastian was a great guide. Took me all over the city and felt like I got to know Buenos Aires well
We only had a day and wanted to see and experience as much of Buenos Aires as possible. Mohammed, our guide, was brilliant. He had clearly carefully researched and planned our day. His explanation of each area, the geographical, political and social history brought each area to life, we were aware of what to look out for, it brought each area alive. We especially enjoyed the indoor food market and the Boca area, just fabulous. He also took account of our physical limitations and worked with what we could do, constantly checking if we were ok. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. In just a few hours we saw, experienced and learnt so much, having the combination of being driven and walking through city areas allowed us to visit so many areas and places many thanks to our guide/friend. Highly recommend this tour.
This is an excellent tour of the highlights of Buenos Aires. Our guide’s knowledge of the history of the city was excellent. The tour’s pace was very good. Just enough.
We booked this tour for our first day to give us an overview of Buenos Aires. Mohamed picked us up at our hotel and took us on a knowledgeable tour of a nicely-planned route through Palermo, Rocoleto Cenetery, Centro Histórico, San Telmo Market, La Boca and more with stops along the way to walk or take pictures. BA is a large city so this tour was the perfect way to get us oriented.
Mohamed was early for our tour and was outside waiting for us when we came down. We quickly relaxed with him as he took us around the city sights providing the historical context to bring it to life.
Awesome day out with Andy our private tour guide. He met us at the hotel and drove us to see all the sights we had on our hit list then some more! Andy was like a rockstar at La Boca area knew all the locals and the volunteer fireman. Lookout for the blue and yellow firetrucks in La Boca area - very interesting. A great tour of the Recoleta Cemetery and a few churches plus told us about the Playa de Mayo and related buildings. Well organised and an awesome car parker!
We had a wonderful day with our guide Mohammad. He took us to all of the highlights in Buenos Aires. We recommend this tour and if you are lucky, request our guide!
It was a good experience of the city’s various areas. We never would have been able to see so much in such a short time in our own.
Our guide for the 4 hours was Christian, who did an amazing job of showing us so much of the city in such a short time. We were picked up on time and shown all the main sights, spending more time in the areas we specifically wanted to see. He is very knowledgeable and was able to explain a lot about the history of all the sights. We would certainly recommend this experience especially if your time in the city is limited.
Mohamed is a knowledgeable tour guide. He provided an excellent customer experience. We thoroughly recommend using his services.
Our guide Pablo Omar was beyond outstanding. We had one of the best days of our many tours in various cities around the world. If you go to Buenos Aires, Pablo has to be your guide!
A good well rounded introduction to Buenos Aries with topical information. The driver Mohammed allowed us time to get out and view sites up close.
This tour was awesome! It was a 4-hour private tour that we booked as a family of 4. Our guide, Andres "Andy" was amazing, very friendly, bilingual (English and Spanish) and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his city. It gave us a very good overview of the city with in-depth exploration of some sites and a lot of good and valuable information! I would recommend this tour in a heartbeat and it was worth every penny! Highly, highly recommended!
Our guide was expert in the history and culture of Argentina. He answered our many questions and was flexible with our schedule. Highly recommend our guide.
Our friend Andy took us to interesting places, and he timed the visits to avoid large tour bus groups. We had most of the paces to ourselves. He told us about the history of the places we visited, and also showed us places that the bus tours don’t go. He asked about places we’d seen and didn’t duplicate them. A great way to see BA!
I had a great tour around Buenos Aires with Pablo. It was a hot day, and he kept us cool with bottled water and sharing shade while teaching me about his home city. Pablo was a great guide and had lots of interesting information to share about history, culture, the arts, and local spots for coffee and sweets. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe with him. The tour was flexible; I opted for the 6hr version and we hit parts of town I was interested in and passed on others I knew I’d visit later in my trip. It was a great intro to the city, helped me understand the city’s layout, and gave me lots of ideas for places to go back to later in my trip. They also can pick you up & drop you off anywhere in the city (hotels, airbnbs, cruise port, airport, etc.). While you can certainly go to any of the places we hit on our trip on your own (La Boca, el Caminito, Recolata cemetery, plaza mayor, etc.), I found that the benefits of this tour were (1) you could cover so much ground in a day that would be difficult to do on your own if using uber or public transport (BA is a huge city!), and (2) you will learn so much more than you can read in a guidebook by seeing the sights with a local who knows the history of the places you visit, and, who, knowing your interests, can point out sights or stops that you’d never otherwise see. Many thanks to Pablo, a fantastic guide to his home city!
Sergio was great! He took me to all of the best spots in Buenos Aires and explained the importance of everywhere we went. He tailored the tour to where I wanted to go since I had already visited one of the places on the itinerary. The pictures he took of me along th way were great! Highly recommend!
