Dario took us on a private city tour and while showing us around he provided a rich background of history and politics of the area. We went on a day when there were large protests going on, so were unable to see some points of interest, but he showed us some other sights instead. It was a treat for him to share some mate and gave us the background about the significance of mate in the Argentina culture. Thank you Dario!

If this is your first time in limited Buenos Aires, this is the trip for you! My tour guide was Dario. The tour was in English. He was very knowledgeable about the city and the country’s history. He really covered a lot of ground at each spot. I especially loved the tour of the cemetery and the garden. He shared the painful and inspiring history in respectful, honest and direct ways. My only criticism was that this tour should be longer! Dario knows so much about the city. He also offered me excellent suggestions on local and affordable restaurants. He also suggested other neighborhoods and sites to visit. I loved that the tour was not large.
We had an incredible experience exploring Buenos Aires with our tour guide, Dario. From start to finish, the tour was thoughtfully planned and covered all the city’s must-see landmarks, giving us a great mix of history, culture, and local flavor. One of the highlights was our visit to the San Telmo Market, which was absolutely unforgettable. Our guide not only walked us through the vibrant stalls and explained the history of the area, but also made sure we experienced it like locals. The choripán we had there was hands down one of the best things we ate on the trip—simple, authentic, and delicious. What really stood out was how knowledgeable and engaging our guide, Dario, was. He shared fascinating stories, answered all our questions, and kept the pace comfortable without ever feeling rushed. It felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring the city with a passionate local friend. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires and want a well-rounded, memorable introduction to the city, I can’t recommend this tour highly enough, and most importantly, make sure to request Dario to be your tour guide.
I had a great experience with Dario. I love that he has extensive knowledge of the city's history and places. My favorite was visiting Evita graveyard. He provides very clear and enriching descriptions of each place visited, such as the Recoleta Cemetery and Plaza de Mayo. I had limited time, so it was very helpful that he had a car, which allowed us to optimize the visits. He also gave very useful recommendations for restaurants and places to enjoy, such as bars I 100% recommend this experience.
I really enjoyed this tour. It was our second time in Argentina and i can't believe how much we missed the first time. I personally really appreciated Dario's ability to navigate between my quieter nature and my wife's outgoing personality. He provided a great mix of knowledge and conversational ability (his English was perfect) allowing us to take in the beautiful architecture and unique history of this South American capital that is Buenos Aires. We started the tour both sitting in the back of the car and by the end my wife and I were tossing a coin to see who would sit up front. I highly recommend this tour and guide. Really can't go wrong and as a bonus the Steakhouse Dario recommended was truly the best!
Dario provided us an outstanding experience of Buenos Aires. He is knowledgeable, patient and kind and most generous with his time and his knowledge. The culture, Beauty and pleasures of the city fully opened up to us via his guidance. His style using both car and walking struck the right balance for us older folks. We look forward to another tour with Darian on our next visit.
I recently took a city tour and it was the perfect way to get my bearings in Buenos Aires. Dario was incredibly knowledgeable, weaving together stories of Evita Peron at the Plaza de Mayo with the colorful immigrant history of La Boca. A major highlight was visiting the Recoleta Cemetery; I never realized how much art and drama were packed into those mausoleums! The pace was perfect, and the personalized setting made it feel like a walk with a local friend. Highly recommend doing this on your first day to plan the rest of your stay.
Dario was the perfect guide. My favorite part was the time in San Telmo, I saw Tango dancers, found a hidden gem of a necklace at the market, he had wonderful recommendations for the soccer match and restaurants. He is a native of Argentina, has lived in the U.S. and Ecuador and can easily switch from Spanish to English and make you feel at ease. His knowledge of the city and the history of both BA and Argentina made everything so much more interesting. Highly recommend a tour with him!
We had a great time on Dario's Buenos Aires city tour. He clearly knows this city inside and out — not just the landmarks, but the history and stories behind them that you won't find in any guidebook. What made the tour special was how he brought everything to life through storytelling rather than just rattling off facts. My partner and I both felt at ease from the start; Dario has a warm, approachable manner that makes it easy to ask questions and just enjoy the experience. Would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.
We totally love this tour. We loved the places visited, the pace of the tour and the knowledge and friendliness of the guide. We totally recommend this tour!
We enjoyed a wonderful tour of Buenos Aires with Dario. The tour was fantastic and we saw all the highlights of the city. Dario gave us lots of information about the history, architecture, culture and food and showed us some hidden gems that only a local would know. If you’re looking for a personalized, professional and educational tour, we would highly recommend Dario.
I highly recommend taking the Buenos Aires tour with Dario. It was time well spent getting acclimated to a new and unfamiliar city at the start of our visit. It was fun and informative.
Touring Buenos Aires with Dario was a wonderful experience. He shared so much information that only a local would know, and the places we visited were incredible. We especially liked that the tour wasn't rushed, but at a pace that allowed us to see everything calmly. Highly recommended.
We spent a full day touring BA with Dario and it was a fulfilling outing. We ended the day feeling we had enjoyed a complete learning experience that was fun and deeply informative.
Dario gave me a tour of Buenos Aires with a clear focus on how the city actually works, using history and culture to explain daily life instead of reciting facts. Walking through San Telmo really stood out, as he tied together the architecture, street life, and migration history in a way that gave the area real context. He balanced major landmarks with less obvious places, kept the pace flexible, and made sure the tour never felt scripted. Thanks so much, Dario, for a great tour that made the city easier to understand and enjoy!!
Dario delivered an outstanding guided experience that went far beyond anything I would normally expect from a city tour, combining an impressive depth of knowledge with an intuitive, conversational style that made **Buenos Aires** feel layered, intelligible, and vividly alive rather than reduced to a sequence of famous stops. He effortlessly wove together history, architecture, politics, and everyday cultural details, constantly adjusting the pace and focus to my interests, answering questions with clarity and insight, and offering context that transformed streets and buildings into meaningful reference points within the city’s broader story, all without ever sounding rehearsed or mechanical. What truly distinguished the experience, however, was Dario himself, whose warmth, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm created an atmosphere that felt less like a formal tour and more like an intelligent, engaging walk with someone deeply connected to the city and eager to share it thoughtfully. The time passed quickly, the conversation felt natural and rewarding, and by the end I came away not only better informed but also genuinely oriented and emotionally connected to Buenos Aires, making this a tour I would recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for something substantial, memorable, and far richer than the standard tourist experience. Thank you, my friend!
Darío was an amazing guide. Very enjoyable experience. Buenos Aires deserves a tour like this.
Dario is an excellent guide. The information you provide is very comprehensive. His treatment is very friendly and polite, fun when it should be, very professional. The places I select are the ones to see
Dario was an excellent tour guide in Buenos Aires. It arrived on time and took us to important places in the city. He explained the history of each area and Argentina. He even agreed to our request to find an excellent place to try the best roast. I highly recommend it.
