Its a nice detour to the usual tourist spots. The church is magnificent and Mariano knows his stuff well. Very accommodating as well.

A hidden gem. The most beautiful church of the city where pope Francis was baptized and where Carlos Gardel, the greates tango singer of all time sang when he was young.
The "English" neighborhood of Caballito. One of the most beatiful residental areas of the city, originally built for the working class in neoclassic arhictectural styles.
Being 130 years old, this is the oldest market in the city. Specialized in meat, most vendors are butchers. It is a very old-fashioned traditional market that takes us back in time
While most tourists go to the Recoleta Cemetery, few of them know about the existence of another monumental cemetery (25 times larger) in the city: the Cemetery of Chacarita. Here, we not only have monumental architecture (as much or more than in Recoleta) but also the graves of the greatest tango artists (among them Carlos Gardel, the greatest tango singer of all time), popular icons, and social associations. A truly hidden gem
One of the most beautiful and top neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Often ignored by tourist that will go no further than Palermo, Belgrano concentrates some of the most beautiful properties of the city and great historical importance.
One of the greatest parks of the city and the heart of Belgrano neighborhood.
Chinatown in Buenos Aires. A very cool, trendy area of the city with a fussion of cultures an influences from Asia.

We really enjoyed the opportunity to see the other areas of Buenos Aires. Mariano has deep knowledge of the history and architecture of the city and we learned much about its history/culture. Everything was efficient and well thought out. Highly recommend.
Vito was a tremendous guide, full of enthusiasm and passion for street art. He is a great story teller and I highly recommend this colourful and authentic tour.
Mariano was very informative as we moved through areas of Buenos Aires that were exactas we had wanted, off the beaten track! Highly recommend
Great guide. Very knowledgeable took us to interesting places. Passed on his love of architecture and his city. If you have seen the normal tourist sites do give this a go. .
This tour is nice if you have done other tours in Buenos Aires and want to see other areas. The church was beautiful, loved the architecture of the neighborhoods we drove thru and walked in.. Liked the fact the guide had a driver, so it was very efficient, didn’t have to look for parking. Mariano was very knowledgeable. Good use of the 4 hours.
Had a great tour. Went to some places that most tourists won’t see. It was interesting to learn about the diverse neighborhoods.
Great guide Mariano who is very knowledgeable about the city and history provided an excellent day touring unusual interesting sites throughout the city. We enjoyed seeing many different neighborhoods and the enormous interesting Cemetery!
We have been to Buenos Aires many times, in fact I lived in Argentina in the 1970's, so we were very familiar with Buenos Aires. This tour definitely took us to places Off the Beaten Path. We saw some amazing architecture and Chacarita Cemetery, which in my opinion is more intriguing than Recoleta. Mariano is an amazing guide. He knows his city well and how the Argentine history intertwines with the rest of the world. I highly recommend this tour to someone who wants to know the culture of the city versus the tourist hot spots. He gives you very personal attention.
This tour takes you to areas which are different from the normal touristy areas where everyone hangs out. Gives you the opportunity to discover many hidden gems which are well worth the visit. Our guide, Mariano was excellent and very friendly. He also has perfect Spanish and English. He took us to many interesting places. Some of the highlights I most enjoyed was visiting the tomb of Carlos Gardel, the beautiful church ln Caballito and the stop at "Chinatown". Would recommend this tour for anyone looking for something different and interesting.
If you like more detailed information about the area you're visiting and stuff the average tourist will learn this tour is for you. The cemetery you visit is incredible and probably my favorite part of the tour. The church where the pope was baptized was beautiful and the relationship with the pope is actually very low key. Mariano is very knowledgeable and an enjoyable host.
This is an excellent walking tour of the parts of Buenos Aires that you never normally see. We’ve been to Buenos Aires several times before and we’ve never been to any of the places we visited today. It’s really well organised with a driver taking you to places that are normally difficult to reach as a tourist, especially as Buenos Aires is such a big city. Big thumbs up to our guide. Highly recommended!
I had the best day on this tour. I felt so lucky to have the driver and tour guide that I had. Mariana was a wealth of knowledge and shared so many cool details and information on the city. I had a lot of questions and she was able to answer them all. I was extremely impressed. Mariana spoke English very well which helped make the experience so much nicer being able to learn all the knowledge she was able to share with me. I had no idea Buenos Aires had all these extra places that we went to today. This was definitely the highlight of my trip to Buenos Aires and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for something different from the normal everyday things.
You will see patty’s of BA that you would never go to and that most tourists would never go to. Got to see neighbor hoods where the locals live and work
We enjoyed visiting the areas that only the locals know about. Our favorite area was Chinatown, did not realize how vast Buenos Aires is.
The Off the Beaten Path tour in Buenos Aires was a fantastic, immersive experience. It veered away from the usual tourist spots and took me through areas and neighborhoods you’d never see on a standard itinerary. The guide, Marcelo, was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the city’s character to life. ##Highlights - Visited Chacarita and the mausoleum of tango greats, including Carlos Gardel. - Explored neighborhoods that are off the typical tourist radar. - Gorgeous architecture and vibrant street scenes that showcase Buenos Aires’ unique charm. - I even spoke with locals who were unaware of some of what Marcelo showed me. - You’ll discover Chinatown in Buenos Aires, a surprising highlight of the tour. Marcelo was a standout guide—friendly, thoughtful, and full of interesting history and local insights. His depth of knowledge made the stops more meaningful and the whole experience more engaging. Final verdict If you’re seeking an authentic Buenos Aires experience away from the usual routes, this tour is a great choice. Highly recommended for architecture fans, history buffs, and anyone looking for a different perspective on the city.
I did three walking tours, and they were all brilliant. Martin was passionate, knowledgeable and a great guide. Maria brought colour to La Boca, and shared so much of the history. And, in my opinion it wouldn’t be worth more than a quick visit to the Cemetery without such a well informed guide. Thank you :)
We were lucky to have gove back to the Iglesia de Sta. Maria Auxilladora, this time with our very animated and knowledgeable guide, Vito Pellegrini. He gave us a deeper understanding of the church's origins and we were also able to see the fount where the late Pope Francis was baptized. Vito also showed us the highlights of the Chakrita cemetary and the "twin homes" of the English area of BA. He also respected our request to end our tour with a mass at the Catedral Metropolitana and pointed out to us some important details to seek out at the catedral after the mass. We highly recommend this tour and thank both Vito and Paolo, our driver, for an enjoyable morning.
Fantastic look at Buenos Aries that most people don’t get to see. We absolutely loved Mariano. Super knowledgeable about his city and its history and he’s really put together a great alternate to the traditional city tour. We did the classic tour on the day before and this was a great compliment to that, but if you only have a day this is also a fantastic option. Gives you a really local feel and a look at parts of the city you wont normally see.
I really appreciated getting to experience more of BA than I ever knew existed or found on the internet. The knoledgeable information provided during the entire tour made it even better. The transportation was seamless and being able to walk around and then be picked up where you stopped walking instead of having to rush back to find and meet a bus felt like a luxury. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Our guide Juan Manuel and our driver were amazing! They showed us so many hidden gems in Buenos Aires we had no clue existed even after multiple visits to the city. They fine-tuned the tour to meet our interests, were so open and welcoming, and were beyond eager to answer any questions we had. Juan Manuel provided many amazing recommendations for the city as well. Could not recommend this tour enough, and try to request Juan Manuel if you can!
Mariano was a terrific guide. So glad we got to visit these hidden gems that tourists don't normally get to experience. Mariano was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about each place we visited. Beautiful tree lined neighborhoods, loved the 130 year old market place. The old Chacarita Cemetery is full of Argentine history especially musical talent. Highlight was the Basilica that other tours don't visit. Thank you Mariano for a great day!
Juan did an amazing job with this tour. In just a few hours, I felt like I understood the city on a new level and got to see sights that most tourists have no idea about. I highly recommend if you're interested in understanding more about BA history, culture and also just spending time with a super dope human being as your tour guide.
Avoid the tourist traps and tour the real Buenos Aires. We had a great guide, who gave us loads of information about the city, culture and country. Easy going, light walking and interesting.
A great experience, exactly as described. The sights you will see are indeed off the beaten path, and we are so glad Marino was out guide to experience them - this would have been impossible for us without his guidance, and his English is excellent.
Our guide Mariano was fantastic—both informative and engaging. We explored amazing locations off the usual tourist paths. Their deep knowledge of architecture and history truly stood out. The tour visits many areas of the city that are often ignored by tourists but very well known by locals, including the visit to a market, a beautiful church, a cemetery and 3 gorgeous residential Areas. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone!
Excellent guide, very educational and entertaining. We visited incredible places outside of the classic tourist circuits. The guide was excellent, with extensive knowledge of architecture and history. Highly recommended!
The tour was really nice, and I had a guide that had both excellent history- architecture and english skills, so I learned a lot. Was also really great to have a driver that was intimately known in BA, as that made dropoffs and pick ups along the route very smooth. Highly recommended!
This tour leads you to the city's hidden treasuress. Right from the start, I was enthralled by the guide's deep knowledge and ability to bring the city's lesser-known history to life through engaging stories and insider insights. Mariano the guide was super nice and answered all our questions. highly recommended!
My husband and I took the tour with Mariano. Not only was he very knowledgeable, he was also very engaging and pleasant. We could enjoy hidden gems which otherwise we would have completely missed. I fully recommend this experience.
Lovely day with Mariano! If you are looking something to do while visiting BA I recommend this experience. We went with family and we had a blast!
If you're looking to experience Buenos Aires beyond the usual tourist spots, the "Off the Beaten Path Tour" is an absolute must. This tour takes you through the hidden gems of the city, places that even some locals might overlook. From the moment the tour began, I was captivated by the knowledgeable guide who brought the city’s lesser-known history to life with fascinating anecdotes and insider information.
We did the Retiro and Recoleta tour. They canceled the tour in Spanish "because there was no one" and made us join the tour in English; we ended up being 5 Spanish-speaking people trying to follow the explanations in English. This tour could have easily been done in Spanish. We did the tour with Martín. Of the places mentioned in the tour, we visited less than half; the guide talked about anything but the sites. At one point, he started scaring foreign tourists with inflation and encouraged them to exchange dollars at a very controversial exchange house, giving them the street and number (while we were in Plaza San Martín, he obviously said nothing about the monument). We left before it ended upon seeing that we were approaching the Recoleta Cemetery, and we only passed by 3 places of all those mentioned in the tour description. We learned very little about the history and architecture of Retiro and Recoleta. Honestly, I do not recommend it, and I find it very unprofessional on their part.
The guide had put together a very good tour and also gave a lot of information. Thanks for the very good tour
Sightseeing tour and places you wouldn't see otherwise. Advanced knowledge is very helpful for a tour in Spanish. But Mariano also speaks English. The schedule is being kept.
very interesting walk in places where tourists rarely go aspect of the city of Buenos Aires unknown areas
Vito was an excellent guide with fair and appropriate information from all the places we visited on the tour. Also always willing and attentive to any other queries or changes in the route of the tour. Recommended.
Mariano is a very professional guide, full of knowledge and very friendly. It was a wonderful experience as we went to very interesting and unusual places for tourists. We highly recommend this tour. Paul is also very nice and punctual. Mariano and Pablo make an excellent team. Leon and Frida from Mexico
Excellent walking tour guided by Sebastian. Despite the rain made the experience unmatched
Although I already knew Buenos Aires quite well, the intention of this trip was to do something different. To that end I decided on this tour and I will be pleasantly surprised. We toured areas unknown to me until then, capturing new facets of this great city. Mariano, the Guide of this personalized tour, not only “nourished” me with a lot of architectural and historical information about the places visited but also gave us very good additional data; an excellent host and better person. I only have to thank you and recommend it 100%
Although I was born in Buenos Aires, it is fantastic to discover the many attractions that the city has to offer. It is a very interesting tour with many nuances and with the company of great tourism professionals who made us experience every detail.
The tour took us to places that are not commonly visited and allowed us to know more about the city, the Guide was very clear and fun in his explanations. It is a very personalized tour, I recommend it 100%
Excellent, a more than positive experience. They took us along the lesser-known routes, and encountering those stories made this adventure special for us. He guided a genius, explained everything in detail. They have English guides too. It is 100% worth taking this guided tour.
Excellent visit very fun and entertaining! It is a car tour where you are taken to see several good-natured places. Mariano guide a genius!
Very interesting historical and cultural data and we went on tours that we would not have found on our own. The Very Friendly Guide 10/10
We passed 10. Super recommended. The service has been great and the Guide very Pro, according to such beautiful city. We'll be back!
