We booked the venue next door but because of a private booking we were upgraded to this one. We were seated with another English speaking couple very close to the stage and enjoyed their company while we ate an excellent meal. We were very impressed with the service and quality of food considering the number of people being catered for at the same time. The show was also very entertaining with lots of variety. We felt it was good value for money and well worth seeing while visiting Buenos Aires.

Well worth the time. The band, singers and dancers were all professional and truly enjoyable to watch.
We attended the Michelangelo Tango Show in Buenos Aires, which combines dinner with a late evening performance. While the show itself was scheduled to begin at 9:30 pm, we were instructed to arrive at 7:00 pm, which turned out to be far too early. This resulted in a long and uncomfortable wait before the performance even began. The dinner experience was the weakest part of the evening. Several items listed on the menu, including the tomahawk steak, were not actually available. The food we did receive was disappointing. The steak was overcooked and had a gritty texture, falling well below expectations for an Argentine steakhouse style offering. Wine service was also an issue. The house Malbec was of very poor quality, so we opted to order one of the better bottles on the menu, a 2023 DV Catena Pinot Noir. Unfortunately, the wine appeared to have been improperly stored and was not in acceptable condition. The dining area itself was uncomfortably hot, to the point of being borderline unbearable during dinner. Because of the heat and overall dining experience, we ultimately chose to leave early and did not stay as long as planned. Overall, while Michelangelo Tango Show may appeal to visitors primarily focused on the performance, the dinner portion was disappointing in terms of food quality, wine, comfort, and pacing of the evening. Travelers considering this experience may want to manage expectations around the meal or consider a show only option.
Amazing!!! Beautifully setting!!! Waiters and bartenders should have been better or more friendly! I would recommend it highly for everyone!
A lovely evening spent at the Michelangelo Tango Show. Food was fabulous although maybe too much for an evening dinner show! Personally felt there was not enough Tango in the show - all performers were excellent however I would have preferred more Tango and a little less of the singers and orchestra.
We loved it! We actually saw the show for the first time a couple of months ago and couldn't wait to go again. Dancers, singers, musicians were all amazing. And the two drummers (and spinning balls) were spectacular.
The show is great and everyone is incredibly talented. A lot of options for dinner if you go the route for dinner beforehand. The interior of the building is all brick and makes the atmosphere special.
This was a fantastic time! There are a lot of tango dinner shows offered in tourist areas, and I was hesitant to go, but we were so happy as this was one of the highlights of our trip! The performers were very talented, the staff professional, and the ambiance on point! We were also grateful for the arraigned transportation - and the option to just attend the show rather than the dinner.
We treated ourselves to the VIP upgrade and it was so worth it. Food was superb, wine was excellent and free flowing, and we had an unobstructed view. Albeit I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house. We loved it.
We had a fun time. The show was really entertaining and the venue size was perfect. The food experience was also nice.
Excellent all the way ! Food and drinks, as well as service, were great. The show was spectacular. Had a great time.
Enjoyed a good and and fun show. Tango performances were excellent. Most enjoyed the folk guitarist and the drummers. Would highly recommend choosing Michelangelo for dinner and show.
The food and service was very good quality. The show was interesting and varied. Overall a fun night out.
Nice intimate venue. Food was slightly better than what you expect at this type of venue. Service was excellent. The show was more than I expected. Not only was tango highlighted but so was folk dancing.
Late and slow than normal Hotel Transfer. Scheduled pu is 8:45pm we were the first to board, after that there were at least 7 more stops but only two had people showed up. The entire shuttle took 2 hrs. The show already started 15 min by the time we sit down. They blamed the driver there’s no apology from the show organizer. Terrible arrangement all the way.
Great show, meal so so. We paid for vip seating but it appeared people coming in wo reservations were seated in prime location as the venue wasn’t crowded at all. However the theater was arranged very well with tiered levels and most seats had a great view of stage . The building and theater were elegant
The place is amazing, an old bricked building from the 1850's. The service, the food and the show were excellent! I definitely recommend it!!
My wife and I had a great night at the Tango Show. The food was excellent and plentiful, the wine kept flowing, and the service was very attentive. We had paid for the VIP package and had front row seats for the show. The show was varied, and the musicians, singers and dancers were all very good.
We really enjoyed the energy of the entire show. The dancers were wonderful! I wish they would've done more, but we enjoyed the variety aspect too. The service of the venue was very good as well. Some things to note for future visitors: we skipped the dinner option and booked for 9 p.m. Well, we thought the show was starting at that time, so we made sure to be prompt and in our seats by then. Little did we know, we would sit for about 45 minutes waiting for the show to begin. It would've been nice to know that 9 p.m. was more of an optional arrival time instead. The "3 hours" on our ticket was deceiving. Show run time ~ 9:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.
Even though they should retire some of the older singers the show was great. We went to see the dancing and that didn’t disappoint. The dinner before the show was also excellent. Don’t go tired as it’s a late night !
The evening was perfect. It started with a delicious three course dinner in the restaurant where we received good service and a generous amount of Buenos Aires delights. Then we moved upstairs to the theater where as VIPs we sat at one of the tables on the side, very romantic. The show was fabulous1 So much energy, great singing, legs moving so fast they barely could be photographed, fantastic tango music...the time flew by and all too soon it was time to leave. I highly recommend.
Great ambiance, the singer and dancers put on a good show. The Dante bar had great drinks and can be visted without purchasing Tango tickets. Food was ok.
The tango show was excellent, and unlike many other places that just feed you, the dinner here was excellent! I like that the restaurant and show venue are in two different places. The dining area is beautiful and the theater is small and intimate for an comfortable viewing experience. The band, dancers, and singers were all top notch!
Beautiful ambiance. Extremely attentive staff. Food was yummy. The tango was majestic and superb. We highly recommend!
Not remotely as advertised...very little dancing ...just some old man singing and joking in spanish. I would have expected a guitar or violin with the dancers...instead ACCORDIONS!!! I left after half an hour as did 2 other English speaking couples...from US, and UK. The meal was fine but 2 hrs is way too long for it...too much time to kill. Show was supposed to start at 9:30...it was past 10pm before it got going. Extremely disappointed with this.
My steak was great my friends steak not so much. We were there at 7:30 for dinner and the show started at 9:30. Service was exceptional. The show was great, just a little long. Beautiful atmosphere. Overall very happy. Good for a one time experience.
Great show!! Very very entertaining!! The only reason we didn't rate 5 stars is during the dinner part of the show the wait staff wouldn't stop bring up the service tip they wanted and was telling us how much they wanted. Then a lady gave us a plate saying it's for the tip, we gave it and she took it. And our waiter didn't seem happy that we gave it to her and not him. I wouldn't normally have an issue. But they brought it up everytime they came to the table...
Excellent service. Food was a little uneven. Soup and Merluza excellent. Steak extremely rare and sent back by us and everyone else eating with us. Show started a little late and ended around 11:15. Quality of the dancing was excellent. Could have done without some of the forkloric singing. All in all this event should start at 8:00 or 8:30 rather than 7:30. It tends to drag.
From start to finish, the food , the staff, the entertainment was fantastic. We enjoyed it immensely and already recommended it to our friends!
The dancing and the dresses were beautiful. However, I think that no one should have stockings that are damaged.
Very good show, but for food, there is absolutely nothing gastronomic.... Besides, the meal came cold... to avoid.
We loved it, excellent proposal. A perfect combination of show and gastronomy; outstanding the quality of the musicians and the attention of the staff, particularly Rodrigo who attended our table. A place with historic architecture preserved in unbeatable condition, with the details of Argentine identity reflected in its decoration. Another highlight is the service of the DANTE bar with a wonderful atmosphere. Slds. Diego.
Excellent! I have met different tango-show proposals and Michelangelo offers a perfect combination of atmosphere, gastronomy and showmanship, all of the first international level. The quality of service was impeccable! It is also very convenient the shape of the room and the layout of the tables on different levels, thus taking a perfect view from all locations. Fangio’s car and René Favaloro’s ambo are certainly a great Attraction! I will not hesitate to return with the next visits!
The tango show meets expectations. The food is good but nothing that we consider an unusual dinner. What leaves something to be desired is the waiters at the end of the show asking for a 10% tip and if we don't have it and give less, they throw the money on the table in complete ignorance.
Excellent proposal for foreign visitors to approach the port music par excellence: tango. And a little folklore, too. Michelango occupies a unique building dating back to 1849 located in the historic district of San Telmo and painstakingly restored by Luis Machi, a tango-loving businessman who invested a significant sum of money to recover a space that decades ago was the scene of important musical shows. After several years of being closed and with serious building deterioration, today the place looks with the splendor of then, where a first-rate show and top-notch cuisine are offered. Tango star figures, such as singer Nestor Fabian and Sextet Tango, are the stellar characters of the show, which also includes dancing eximios. A special paragraph for gastronomy, first level, like wines. One hundred percent recommended.
Absolutely incredible, historic place with a 20 point remodeling, perfect lighting that together with every detail of walls, floors and furniture make it an imposing and unforgettable place. Show, food and service, 10 stars. Congratulations!
I can't explain what this place is! The space retains structure from the 1800s and although it is modernized, it is imposing. They have a buffet menu (delicious, well distributed and with very varied options) and if you are not interested in what is in the buffet, you can order à la carte that they cook everything at the moment. The other level show, never seen! Lots of changes from costumes, dancers, musicians and live singers. The surprise was that the place has a small but complete bar in which they prepared one of the drinks of the house (I give it a 10/10) What I loved was the attention received. Not only did they treat me amazing, but they are attentive that nothing is missing on the table, in the show... everything. IF YOU ARE IN BUENOS AIRES: IT'S WORTH 200%!
