This Tango Show was 1 of the GREATEST theatrical experiences I've ever had. I live in Houston, Texas and am an huge live-theater lover. However, I have to say this Tango Show and Dinner was EXCEPTIONABLE! The artists and dancers were UNBELIEVABLE. The dancers all had to have been double jointed because they could kick their legs up VERY high and wrap them around their partner immediately then momentarily slide their legs down with a curl in the opposite direction! They had tremendous facial theatrics too that seemed as if they were also scripted because they were so perfect. Their costumes and makeup was perfect but their energy seemed eternal! The servers were tremendous as well, so kind, accommodating and helpful. The food wasn't the best but it was good. The greatest thing was that we ate before the show instead of waiting until 9 PM. Us Americans usually eat by 6/7 PM at the very latest and all of the other Tango Shows start much later. This show was just incredible in MANY, MANY WAYS ......especially the talent of the entertainers! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Before the dinner-show, you'll have the option to take part in a tango class or enjoy an exclusive wine tasting led by our expert sommeliers. This pre-show experience lasts approximately one hour.
Dinner is served between 7:30 PM and 9:30 PM, featuring a carefully curated menu of gourmet dishes that blend the best of Argentine and international cuisine. At 9:30 PM, the tango show begins — a performance that’s sure to impress. Live music is performed by renowned tango orchestras and a traditional Argentine folk music group. On stage, four pairs of dancers will captivate you with their skill, elegance, and passion. The show also includes live indigenous music and a glimpse into gaucho culture, featuring a breathtaking boleadoras demonstration — a traditional tool used by gauchos for cattle herding. To conclude this magical evening, La Ventana pays an emotional tribute to Eva Perón with a moving performance of the iconic song from the famous musical. A unique and unforgettable moment.

Lovely setup, good dinner and dance show to experience the local culture. The ambience and wait staff [Paulo and others] made this a memorable, pleasant experience. Crowd size is controlled and comfortable. We had our pictures taken on stage but unfortunately did not collect on the way out.
We had a wonderful evening at La Ventana in Buenos Aires. The tango performance was fantastic, featuring incredibly talented dancers, beautiful costumes, passionate live music, and impressive choreography. The traditional Argentine folk dancing and singing were also highlights of the evening. The intimate theater setting made the experience even more special, allowing us to appreciate the performers up close. The dinner itself was average and nothing particularly memorable. However, the service was excellent, and our server was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the evening ended on a disappointing note. Our server specifically requested a tip of US$15 per person, or $30 for the two of us. When we asked about paying the gratuity by credit card, we were told that only cash was accepted. We ultimately tipped in Argentine pesos. We have no problem tipping for good service, but being asked for a specific amount felt uncomfortable, especially after already paying for the dinner-and-show package. I’m not sure whether this is standard practice at the venue, but it left a slightly negative impression on an otherwise enjoyable evening. Overall, the show was excellent and definitely worth experiencing. I would highly recommend the performance, although the dinner could be improved. I also hope the management will allow guests to decide their gratuities without feeling pressured.
Really good show, we enjoyed the more intimate venue, the performers were great and the food options were very good. Our pick-up and drop off was very good also
We all enjoyed the show from teen up to senior. The food was only okay, we had better meals elsewhere. We arrived about 15 minutes before for dinner started and got great seats. Before the last song waiters came by with portfolio saying that a 10% tip was suggested. There is a nice parking garage across the street with reasonable prices.
The dinner was delightful with a number of choices, the wait staff were polite, professional and helpful the show was spectacular, the venue was exquisite, would highly recommend
Food and entertainment was great. Haven't given 5 stars, because the itinerary stated we'd get a tango lesson or wine tasting, but received neither. Messaged Viator to query this but they never bothered to reply.
After a lot of research, I picked La Ventana. It was incredible. The venue was beautiful and intimate. The service and the food were top notch. And the dancers were amazing. Just an amazing night. I didn’t get the impression it was “touristy” at all. And if so, so what? It was fun and incredibly entertaining. Plus, the steak was great. I looked at tons of shows and appreciated the diversity of tango dancers, singers and gaucho music.
This was so much fun and far exceeded expectations! The food was incredible, the staff was wonderful, but the entertainment blew us away!
The quality of the performers, singers, dancers, musicians, was excellent. Very entertaining and the skillful gaucho demonstrations were amazing. The waitstaff were very helpful and attentive.
Excellent show, enjoyed throughly with my son. Performances were exceptional!! Food was good at the restaurant and service as well.
The show was really very good...excellent dancers, musicians, and an intimate setting that lets the audience feel the energy and talent on the stage. The range of music was quite wonderful. My review rating is low because of great disappointment with the booking site. My emailed ticket and confirmation clearly state the show start time is 10:00 pm. However, the show started at 9:30 pm so we missed one third of the performance. The venue said it was the fault of the booking agent and I highly recommend NOT using viator, unless they would like to offer compensation for their mistake.
Excellent experience. Pick up was right on time. Very good driver and clean bus. Show check in was easy and smooth. Wine tasting was really good. Dinner was very good and the highlight of the night was the Tango Show, which was more than a tango show. Excellent. And I can not forget about the staff: they were friendly, funny and courteous/respectful. Don’t hesitate booking this tour.
I attended a tango performance at Familia Tango Show in Argentina with my husband, where we had a very concerning experience. During the show, two women who appeared to be part of a larger group walked past our table on their way to the restroom and spilled red wine on an elderly woman seated next to us. Surprisingly, no apology was offered. Unfortunately, on their return, they spilled another glass of red wine on the same woman, leaving her blouse stained and visibly upsetting her. We were shocked by both the behavior and the lack of accountability. We brought the situation to the attention of the establishment’s manager; however, the only action taken was to ask both parties to relocate. We agreed to move seats primarily to prevent any further incidents and to protect the elderly woman from additional distress. Later in the evening, the same individuals passed by our new table and again appeared unsteady. My husband politely asked them to be careful and avoid another incident. In response, one of the women became confrontational, caused a significant disturbance, and made threatening remarks toward us and the elderly woman. This experience was deeply disappointing. No guest should feel unsafe or distressed while attending what is meant to be an enjoyable cultural event. We had looked forward to experiencing the beauty and history of tango in Argentina, but instead, we left with a very negative and unsettling memory.
Great show with various performances. The theater itself has a beautiful historic charm that really enhances the experience. Seating is first-come, first-served, so arriving early is definitely worth it if you want a spot close to the stage. We were happy we chose the dinner option. While the appetizers and desserts were on the smaller side, the pumpkin soup and the meat dish were absolutely delicious and made the meal worthwhile.
My wife and I attended the dinner and a show, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and the bottle of wine (with the extra portions). The show was good as well too. Some of the singers were better than others, but the dancing was good and worth the price. It’s a small setting with maybe 100 customers in a semi circle seating around the stage. It is about a 4 hour event from beginning to end as you’re seated around 8, then later on you receive your drinks, place your order and then receive your food at 9-9:30 and then about 10:30-10:45 the show started and lasted for about an hour.
Much better than I ever would have anticipated. Food was magnificent and the show was just incredible. If you choose this tour, do the dinner and the show together.
Excellent entertainment, Tango dancing was amazing & varied, gaucho performance & panpipe music a bonus! Beautiful solo tribute to Evita & amazing dinner ! Cannot fault this experience & would highly recommend.
Everything about the evening was so well organised, from entering the club to leaving. The staff were very attentive, on the ball and cheerful. Food and drinks were so tasty and a good choice of menu. I was expecting the actually show to be good but it far exceeded my expectations. The variety of dance, music and song made the night a night to remember forever. Would I recommend the show ? 100% yes !!! Would I go back again ? 100% Yes !!!!!
Having seen a number of reviews raising issues with food and transfers, we booked standard “show only” including wine and soft drinks (Uber is plentiful in Buenos Aires as are good restaurants!). The show started at 10pm, for about 90 mins. We arrived at 9:15 and were shown to our seats - essentially joining a table that had been there for dinner since 8. They said they had had a long wait and did not enjoy their food. The service was friendly and we sat down to enjoy our drinks and settle in. The room was essentially long tables running from the stage to the back. The room was full, but not uncomfortable and (unlike some other shows I read about) there was aircon! We had a decent view of everything. The room itself also had small upstairs areas in each side where a handful of people sat. All in all it was an enjoyable show. The tango dancing was good, as was the singing and what seemed to be some kind of cultural performance. Id recommend it to someone wanting to see a tango show while being comfortable, and not spending a fortune. They did ask for tips at the end but it was done discreetly and we were happy to give something. All in all an enjoyable couple of hours and would recommend at the price.
Elegant dinner & tango show. An absolute evening not to be missed in the beautiful San Telmo neighborhood.
Highly recommend - this was a great experience. What drew us to this place was that it was not only tango, which we love, but also other folkloric dances and music so it was a good mix. I still came away feeling like I saw various forms of tango so I recommend this show and my young adult daughter also enjoyed it. It also had a moving tribute to Evita, which I thought really added to the experience. We did show-only. I wish the waiters did not come through the aisles once the show started as that briefly blocks view but still found it very worthwhile.
This experience was extremely disappointing. The restaurant is in a basement and the room is small and very overcrowded, although it is an interesting decor made to look old world. We were seated in the middle section with our backs to the stage and there was not enough room to reposition our chairs to have a clear view of the show. So we watched the show twisting our heads sideways, which was pretty uncomfortable. The chairs and table behind us were so close, it was impossible to get in and out or move without interrupting our neighbours. We took the waiter’s recommendations for the specialties - soup that was cold and tasteless; steak that was fatty and chewy with a miserable side of salad and cold wedges; and ice cream that was ok. All together, an awful dinner experience in an overcrowded, noisy room. The show, however, was very good. The dancers were very professional, the musicians were very talented and the rope performer was amazing. But we paid US$300 for a meal and a show! My advice is find a show only option and eat a meal elsewhere in one of the other most amazing global restaurants anywhere but La Ventana in Buenos Aires. And to cap off an already ordinary meal experience, the waiter was extremely aggressive with demanding a tip at the end of the evening multiple times, which we politely declined. And one last comment, they picked us up in a bus with other guests at different hotels so it took 1 hour 15 mins to travel to the restaurant, which would have been 12 minutes by taxi, and we were second to last to get dropped off, which meant we left at 7:00pm and got back at 12:30am for a one hour show. Avoid this place, you will find many other better options in the fabulous city of Buenos Aires.
Great experience! The show was fantastic. All the dancers were amazing! They even had some singers which were great. We opted for hotel pick up and drop off which was great. The dinner was also good. Would highly recommend this show to everyone!
We enjoyed the experience, however we weren’t given the option to learn any tango or try wine. Not sure if that was extra, but I didn’t see the option when purchasing or was contacted, so I assumed it was included. The food was very meh and around 30 minutes before the show ended the waiters went around asking for tips. That all said, the performances were amazing! I would go back again to see it, but would skip the dinner option.
There was very little tango and lots of Peruvian music/dance. Nothing against Peruvian music, but went specifically to see tango performance. Very disappointing.
Regarding this booking. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! The seating was very uncomfortable and the stage is very very small and difficult to admire the show from the back. The seating is very crowded and and we can barely move. And to go to the restroom…..! Squeezing in between the rows was unbearable. I realize you must profit from getting as many guests as possible but you must consider the comfort of your guests especially because we pay good money for this booking. Also it is somewhat rude to embarrass your guest to add gratuities at the end of the show. Quite unprofessional. Perhaps a little note at the end of the booking description could be included so your guests don’t feel obligated to leave a tip in the booklet.
Great show...a little crowded but overall, an amazing experience. Great food, drinks and conversations with fellow attendees on your shared table.
Somewhat touristy but well run, sociable and enjoyable night out, not to be taken too seriously. Wine tasting for starters gets you in mood for cabaret and sing along
Great, varied show with tango, singers, other native local entertainment! I would recommend VIP package for great seats.
The dinner and show began with a pickup at our hotel at around 7:30pm, and we returned at around midnight, so plan for that. The dancing was fabulous, and there were numbers by a male and female vocalist, and by an artist performing with an instrument that looked like a mini guitar. There may have been too much of the “non-dancing” entertainment. We had steaks and fish - those that had steaks were happier than the members of our party who had the fish. The food was overall pretty good, but you really are going for the show.
Very well organised and beautiful location. There are many shows out there but this was truly entertaining and fun! I didn't think this could be so much fun. The variety of the performance was brilliant, not just tango...so much more and all performers bring so much energy.
This was in a nice old style Theater in a nice part of the city. We didn't do the meal but they sat us about 20 min before the start of the show. We got pretty nice seats but we arrived early (~9:30). The Tango dancing was fantastic but they mixed things up with signing and some other bands. They also had a touching tribute to Eva Peron. Got a complementary bottle of decent red wine too! I recommend this show to anyone.
The Tango show was great. However the steak served at dinner was overcooked and inedible. The transportation service was on time and efficient
Show and food were good. tango lesson was disappointing. I booked lessons for my party of 6. no where in description does it tell you that you will be part of a group of 50+. I purchased lessons under the (false) pretense that it was just for my party. I would not have purchased had I know size of group.
Wonderful - Maybe the best experience in South America It was a show you need to see - went wine tasting first
The show was excellent. We had never been to a Tango show before so we went in with eyes wide open and were thoroughly impressed. We opted for the show only option, but when we arrived and saw the desserts arriving for the show+dinner people, we wished we had chosen the dinner as well. The only slight bit of confusion we faced was the timings on the show only booking stated 5 hrs but that is for the whole package. The show actually lasted 1hr 20 mins (finishing at around 11:15pm.) We only had a day in Buenos Aires and would highly recommend this to anyone as it finished off our whistle stop tour perfectly!
Great time taking Tango lesson before show and dinner. Dinner was good but large portions. The dancers are amazing.
It was a brilliant evening. The bus picked us up at our hotel and took us to the theatre where the meal was excellent - although my choice of the beef was a mistake! the show was fabulous. The bus was waiting outside the door after the show so a perfect end to the day. And it was significantly cheaper than the option offered by my tour company - so that was a real bonus
An amazing experience, a great memory about Buenos Aires. Wonderful tango lesson Spectacular show Classy meal Highly recommend!
Fantastic night out with a delicious meal and amazing tango dancers. Maybe a bit too much singing and an extra couple of dances would have suited my taste more. However ended with the Argentine flag waving to "Don't cry for me Argentina"from Evitia, just what the tourists want to hear.
The show was excellent, great performers. The food was average which is fine but it was very expensive overall. The waiters were asking for tips during the performance which was distracting and could have waited. I would suggest only attending the performance.
The lesson was very basic and non-threatening. The dinner was very good and the show great! The only negative was the driver who took us home didn't have a map app and could get lost in a closet.
Food was excellent.Great show. Only down side was the driver didn’t know who was on the bus To go back to accommodation
We booked the show only experience and used Uber to get there and back without any issues. We were seated on a table with people who were eating but we were able to have a relaxing drink and it was lovely chatting to others before the show began. The show itself was very good. Three different dance couples with fantastic musicians and singers - the mix of tango and folklore meant the evening flew by. Would highly recommend!
The Tango Show was incredible. It lasted 90 minutes and contained Tango dancing, Gaucho singing/dancing, and a folk music performance. Just as advertised. We just went for the show and were fortunate to be seated in the first row in front of the stage. What a fantastic evening
Incredibly well organized collection and drop off. Food was amazing. The show itself was professional and slick! Fantastic value for money.
Tango only- no dinner. Great performance.
Fantastic show so we'll done 5 hours of good food with a great atmosphere and a brilliant show. Truly did not disappoint, I was worried about it just being a tourist trap rip off. Not at all pick up and drop off at hotel and a great experience. Would highly recommend this show to anyone spending some time in buenos aries.
Beautiful building with exceptional show. Truly incredible performers with amazing tango. The food was excellent. Good atmosphere. Highly recommend it!!!
