The tour was amazing, the guide Mariana was excelent, told about the history of the neighborhood, the port, personallities. Took about 2 hours, easy to find her at the meeting point. I was sorry that I didn't book more tours during my trip, but will do on the next one for sure!

Claudio is an excellent guide. He gave us a very thorough and vivid account of the life of an immigrant family in the historical La Boca. His description of the origins of tango and its relationship to the neighborhood was superb.

Fantastic guide Santiago made this tour a fascinating experience with real insight and passion for the material. I came with fairly low expectations as initial impressions were of a tourist trap but Santiago brought the place alive and gave it enormous depth. 2 hours was brief - I could have easily listened to Santiago all day - but it’s a great introduction and he gives some excellent tips on how to further explore the area. $10 is terrific value.

Our experience with Buenos Aires Free Walks was excellent overall - we took four different tours during our stay in Buenos Aires - but the La Boca tour with Maru was truly exceptional. Maru is a historian with an incredible depth of knowledge about La Boca, Argentina, and the history of immigration. Her passion for the subject was evident throughout the nearly three-hour tour. What could have simply been a walking tour of La Boca became so much more: a fascinating history lesson covering immigration, culture, art, soccer, food, architecture, and the people who shaped this remarkable neighborhood. Maru was engaging, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she brought the history to life in a way that made us want to keep learning. Her English is excellent, and she did a wonderful job connecting with everyone in the group. This was honestly one of the best walking tours we have ever taken. If you are visiting Buenos Aires, I highly recommend taking the La Boca tour with Maru. Her passion and knowledge made this an unforgettable experience!

Victoria provided such a great tour of Recoleta the day before that we signed up for her tour of La Boca the next morning. Informative without being dull; a good mix of history and current-day dynamics in the neighborhood. We (two adults and three teenage boys) enjoyed it very much. $10 USD a person was a tremendous deal for such a good tour.

My family of five did this tour at the beginning of July 2026. It was fantastic, the tour guide Victoria was exceptionally knowledgeable and made the whole experience very interesting. We did tour of la Boca on the first day, and liked it so much that the following day we did the remaining two tours with Victoria (the walking tour of the city in the morning and Recoleta Cemetery in the afternoon. Victoria also gave us excellent restaurant recommendations. Highly recommend.
