I chose Vamos Academy mainly because of its location. I was staying in the San Telmo area, and the school was just a five-minute walk away. One thing I learned during my search is to be cautious—many other schools don’t list their prices online, and there’s a huge price difference between them. After doing some research, I found that other schools were charging up to $50 USD per hour, which I still can't understand. At Vamos, I paid just $15 per hour, received a diploma, had a fantastic teacher, and enjoyed all the extra activities the school offered. Buenos Aires can be strange like that—you might find a bottle of wine for one price in a supermarket, and then find the exact same wine for significantly less just 10 blocks away. If you don’t mind overpaying, that’s fine, but if you’re like me, do your homework and compare prices. My experience at Vamos was excellent. They allowed me to pay with my Amex without any extra service fees, provided all the course materials for free, and even sent a detailed certificate to my employer, who reimbursed me for the classes. I did see some negative comments about the school, but at least in my experience, they’re unfounded. The school itself is great—comfortable classrooms, amazing teachers, and every time I needed something or requested a change, they were very accommodating. If you decide to sign up, definitely ask for Eugenia—she’s the best!

I’ve been going for a few weeks now to private classes with Guadalupe. Great teacher and staff in general. Good atmosphere! Recommend highly!
Vamos academy is a great way to learn Spanish. One on one with your own teache is my preference. Lucía is an amazing teacher and she demonstrates a lot of knowledge and patience. She takes as much time as needed to make sure the material is understood. I enjoy my classes and would definitely recommend Vamos Academy.
I enrolled in Vamos Academy to improve my Spanish, and I'm thrilled with the results. The teaching methods are effective, and the small class sizes allow for personalized attention. The instructors use a communicative approach, making the learning process enjoyable. The cultural insights shared in class added a valuable dimension to my language learning journey. I can confidently say it's a top-notch academy for learning Spanish.
I had an excellent experience at Vamos Academy. The classes were engaging, and the instructors were patient and knowledgeable. The learning environment was friendly, making it comfortable to practice speaking Spanish. I appreciate the variety of activities that helped reinforce what we learned in class. Highly recommended for anyone looking to learn Spanish in a supportive and enjoyable setting.
My family spent June and July in Buenos Aires, we and we enrolled our four elementary-aged children in private classes for nearly the entire time. Before we even got to Argentina, Analía (the academic director) took the time to have a video chat with each of my four kids to assess their Spanish experience. That put my mind at ease because my kids have ample exposure to Spanish already and I did not want them to be treated like students who had no previous knowledge. My kids' teachers, Cecilia and David, were amazing. My kids became so attached to them and looked forward to attending class and spending time with them. When we first started, the kids were shy and a bit resistant in using their Spanish. Over time, I noticed that they started using it more and more without my insisting, and eventually they just defaulted to using it and actually asked to be the ones to deliver messages or ask questions to people when out in public. That was our goal--we wanted the kids to grow more confident in their conversational skills, and that is exactly what happened! Thank you!
Thank you Daniela for making my Spanish lessons so fruitful and enjoyable! You are an excellent Spanish teacher!!!
Vamos has some great things and some things to improve. I still give them 5 stars because of their amazing teachers and the fact that they go a long way to make sure people really learn. Overall my only observation is that they only have 3 social activities per week and I feel they can do more. On saturdays they have a conversation meeting where many Argentines and foreigners get together to practice. Itś free and very useful.
Great all the way. Analia the academic directos was very helful and my teacher Mariela super nice. The school is well located and the prices affordable for me.
Originally I was looking at another school that a bit too far from my apartment in Palermo. Somehow their price are almost twice as expensive. At first I thought the other school has something special or something to justify the extra money but after having visiting them and Vamos I realized vamos offers much more in terms of social activities and has way more students compared. I decided to pay for 30 hours of one on one lessons. My first teacher was Georgina and unfortunately she got sick so I continued with Martina. Both teachers were great and very knowledgeable. I'm very very happy with my Spanish classes at Vamos Academy and would love to stay but now I have to go back home ;)
An immersive, interactive experience with wonderful instructors. I would not choose anywhere else! Learning Spanish was always difficult for me, but they were patient and encouraging. It was the first time I ever enjoyed learning another language. Thank you vamos!!!!!!
Excellent Spanish lessons in the heart of Buenos Aires. Leandro was a very effective teacher and I feel I learned a lot in just 2 weeks. I wish I had more time to continue my lessons at Vamos.
Learning Spanish at Vamos is fun. Daily cultural activities right after the classes, really the fastest way to practice what you learn in the class. I had a problem when I first started to the academy but they have solved it pretty quickly. Miguel is a great teacher who speaks only Spanish during the lessons. Muchas gracias :)
Every single person that I met who works at Vamos was absolutely wonderful. Miguel is an excellent teacher and fabulous person. My Spanish quickly and noticeably improved over the two weeks I was there. The school is in a great location and is easy to get to. If you are considering studying Spanish in Buenos Aires, you’ve GOT to go to Vamos!!
The lessons are well structured and work well if you're staying for a few weeks or more. I also liked the free Tango classes and "mate and conversation workshop. Many Argentines were there and I was able to practice my Spanish". I also chose Vamos because they had the best prices and their school has HEPA filters, something that for me was essential.
I found the school online and am grateful I did!!! The school provided me with an exceptional instructor named Paloma. Paloma is not only giving me guidance on Argentinian Spanish but also Spain Spanish, which is the focus I need. I’m in my third week of class and look for to continuing as long as I can.
My family of 5 decided we needed to brush up on our Spanish before we started a 3 month tour of Latin America. We found Vamos Spanish Academy on Trip Advisor along with other schools in BA. I spoke with Derek, the program advisor at Vamos and he was very responsive and flexible with developing a 1-week program for our family. I requested a 3-hr class that our kids, 10, 7, and 6, would be able to take at the same time that my wife and I would be in a more advanced class. The curriculum worked great for us. My wife and I took a placement test to see where we fit in the Spanish curriculum and Vamos was able to tailor a class that worked perfectly for us. Our instructor was patient and kept us engaged. We are very happy with our experience and feel that the classes set us up to better enjoy our travels. ¡Muchas gracias a la gente de Vamos Spanish Academy!
My experience learning at Vamos Academy has been wonderful all throughout. I chose individual lessons because I work better in a one-on-one setting. The Academy was impeccable, from the cleaning and desinfecting to the friendly staff that greeted me at the door, and the school itself has ample classrooms and wide spaces. During my lessons, the Spanish teacher was very understanding of my learning process, as I didn't have any prior knowledge of Spanish when I started. All the excercises and workbooks were adapted to my level of the language. Thanks for everything!
I spent the last 3 weeks in Buenos Aires working at YPF and taking lessons at Vamos Academy. The classes were very well prepared and my teacher Emma was terrific. A big thanks to Derek for accommodating me and for the awesome coffee.
Best part; exceptionally obliging staff! Would have liked materials to review, practice with and study from. As the standard group format didn’t fit my schedule while visiting Buenos Aires, I opted for 3 private lessons in hopes that I would be able to communicate beyond asking for los servicios, and being able to understand more of any conversation with Spanish speakers. My expectation was of a formal sort of introduction, building through a curriculum at a speed based on my progress. My first lesson was all over the map and I wondered about moving on with the next one. I’m glad I did as the more systematic approach in the subsequent lessons proved very helpful to me. Were I to come back, I’d start with the group lessons and fine tune with some one on one.
I went to Buenos Aires to improve my Spanish. I took it very seriously so I registered for 40 hours of one-to-one lessons. Today is my last day of classes and I wanted to share my experience and provide feedback. I had two teachers Agustina and Antonella both very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a lot of conversations about the local culture among other topics such as politics and economics. Both teachers were really really good. Rafael is their academic director. He was very on-top of my progress and also creating class materials. He did a great job. The facilities are brand new so the place is very comfortable. They have a very cute rooftop patio. Looking forward to my next trip.
I spent 3.5 weeks learning Spanish at Vamos. I enjoyed the experience and learnt a ton in a short amount of time. One tip: it was helpful to book a few days of classes first, see if you like it and making adjustments, then make more bookings. I ended up changing my group classes to individual ones to better fit my learning goals. When I come back to Buenos Aires, I will take more classes with Vamos.
I choose Vamos mainly for its great location and the fact that they have free Tango classes. I didn't have much expectations but to my surprise the experience I had was fenomenal. My teachers name was Agustina and was super nice. I wanted to focus my spanish lessons in topics related to medicine. She went the extra mile finding good material to work with in the class and videos. I'm a doctor and I work in the coral gables area in Florida. I had so many patients that can't speak any English so I really needed to learn Spanish. Originally I signed for 15 hours of private classes and later on paid for another 15. The school is very nice, everything is new. Classrooms are comfortable and thank GOD they have air conditioning. The social outgoing are a good way to meet other students and to keep practicing Spanish. During my time at Vamos Academy there were about 70 students learning Spanish but also lots and lots of Argentines learning English and French so I managed to make a lot of friends and keep practicing!
Worth it a lot - a fast immersion more productive
I chose Buenos Aires because it is a beautiful city. The Vamos academy is very well located centrally. Teacher Lariza is super super good and recommends her. Thank you and I will miss you
Hello! I'm from Brazil, and I came with my boyfriend to learn Spanish. Vamos is a great school for those who want to learn Spanish, with fantastic teachers. We are having private classes with Professor Alejandro, and I can tell you that we like him a lot. The classes are so good that they fly by. I'm sure we will take many more classes until we reach fluency. Thanks for everything.
I had an intensive course of 4-5 hours per day. In the mornings we just talked, in the afternoons we did grammar. At the beginning of my course the teachers asked me what I would like to do during classes and adjusted lessons to my desire. I really appreciate that they taught me in Spanish all the time without having to use English.
I am Brazilian and I loved the experience in the course. The teacher is amazing and I believe I have improved my Spanish a lot. I recommend !! Everyone is very kind and caring.
The Go Spanish is amazing! From reception to class, everything was perfect. I want to give a special thanks to my professor Fede, who was very attentive and led the classes fantastically. I'm sure I've learned a lot in these two weeks. I also thank Sol and Derek, who received me very well every day and supported me in everything. I recommend it to everyone. Thank you!!
Had a week of intensive class with my girlfriend. The team was great and we learned a lot! The teacher did a very good job.
An excellent experience, I was welcomed with affection and a lot of professionalism. Buenos Aires is a city with endless possibilities: art, literature, nightlife... and we Academy is the door to live very well the experience portńa.
