Silvia was a great tour guide and very compassionate. She went above and beyond despite some set backs out of her control.

Itinerary
Meet your guide at the Terminal Fluvial de Sturla in Puerto Madero. Our boat sails at 10:00 AM.
We’ll sail along the Río de la Plata towards Tigre and get incredible views of Buenos Aires on the way. Ideal for those who wish to get to know the Delta and its typical characteristics of the region that make it attractive as it is practically integrated into the urban area of a megalopolis like Buenos Aires.
We’ll get to the Delta del Río Paraná where we’ll sail between lots of little islands and you’ll get to see the unique lifestyle here, with floating taxis, rafts and even shops dotting around.
Jumping off the boat in Tigre, we’ll head to enjoy a delicious lunch on the coast of the river.
Have lunch on the banks of the river: You can choose between: - Au Gratin Breast Sandwich or Roasted Vegetable Sandwich or Ratatouille - Cereal bar or Seasonal fruit or Banana and dulce de leche crepes - 1 non-alcoholic drink 500cc (water, flavored water or soda)
After lunch, we start with the tour of Puerto de Frutos. This place was the old port for the disembarkation of goods from the Delta and nowadays it is a local tourist spot, visited every weekend by people from Buenos Aires, as a recreation area by the river. You will be able to visit the fair, take pictures and buy souvenirs and handicrafts.
We will continue with a walking tour along the Paseo Victorica, an exceptional place that combines nature, river views, gastronomy, rowing clubs and historical landmarks and museums. Our guide will give you the necessary knowledge to understand the importance and history of each attraction and the city.
Arrival at the Delta station of the Tren de la Costa. We will board this tourist train that runs along the coast of the Rio de la Plata on the left, and the most exclusive areas of large mansions on the right.
At 3.30pm Arrival in San Isidro and tour of Plaza Mitre and the Cathedral of San Isidro. Walking tour through the main attractions until arriving at San Isidro Station. On the way you will have time to have a coffee with a snack or an ice cream.
From San Isidro station you will travel by train to the city of Buenos Aires.
The tour ends at the monument of the Liberator José de San Martín, in front of Retiro train station.

Roxanne was so thoughtful and kind. She added so much to the day trip. The boat trip was fun and interesting. It was also nice to walk around different neighborhoods and learn about the areas the lunch was also really good. Thank you Roxanne and Tangol
We were lucky that we were the only ones on Natalia's tour that day and so she was able to be a bit flexible in missing out places we'd been to before and spend more time elsewhere. The boat and train rides is a good combination
Guía turístico muy amable y con mucho conocimiento. Ella hablan inglés bien - muy útil ya que nuestro español es mal. Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She speaks English well, which is helpful since we don’t speak much Spanish. We got to see a lot of very interesting buildings and areas in a short time, which would have taken a long time to research and organize on our own. Highly recommended! Altamente recomendada!
Inadequate communication by tour company regarding meeting time and location of the end point of the tour resulting in inconvenience and additional cost. The boat ride through the delta was very interesting as well as relaxing. The other activities in this tour represented the area. Our tour guide was pleasant and helpful. However, I would not necessarily recommend this tour company. We were told to report at 9:15 AM and our tour guide was told to report at 9:45 AM at the meeting point. This was very inconvenient as we got up early to taxi to the meeting point from our hotel and we were left without guidance for over 30 minutes. At the end of the tour, we were left over 12 miles from the designated end point. Rather than ending the tour at the designated point, within walking distance from our hotel, we were forced to take a taxi at our own expense for a 14.6 mile trip across Buenos Aires. Our tour guide kindly assisted in securing a taxi for a fair rate, but it was an expense we had not anticipated. The change in the end point resulted from construction work and inability of the train to access this specific area. However, the tour company should have been aware of the issue since it was an ongoing project over a considerable time frame. The tour company should have notified us of the change in final destination, the additional distance that had to be traveled at our own expense — or provided alternative transport to the designated ending point.
They canceled 1/2 hour before the trip. No reason given. I booked 6 months ago. Not happy. It was confirmed the night before
Nice and interesting tour. Brenda, our tour guide, was fantastic. Very friendly, knowledgeable and we learn a lot about the places visited and Argentinian culture in general. Lunch was delicious, ferry and train rides were both good and easy to take.
River tour and all towns and market was great , the your guide was well informed and highly knoweldgable , Sylvia was great
Nice, private tour with lots of information and also enough time to be for yourself. We had a fantastic day and would highly recommend the tour.
Our guide was not very attentive while on the cruise (I learned more from other guides). He was fine when we were off the boat. We did walk much more than we had expected. The lunch (chicken) was very dry. We also expected to be on a train not a commuter rail. Most of us had to stand almost the whole way from San Isidro to the Buenos Aires station.
The BA Delta Tigre experience exceeded expectations! Beautiful cruise on river, cruise into small delta with small homes and beautiful tropical scenery. Walked 6 miles all around diff parts of the city with stop at ice cream /patisserie. Had our own tour guide for four people. Experienced Argentina Train Travel with beautiful Mitre station. Lunch included- with delicious Argentina coffee! Exceptional time. Highly recommend.
The river cruise part is great, but unfortunately it goes down hill from there. Lunch is supposed to be at a riverside restaurant sitting looking at the river enjoying the sunshine and a restful lunch. Instead you are either inside a very dark small restaurant or out the back on a side street nowhere need the river. Then you walk to the market (right past the train that you need to take later in the day) where you walk around the few stalls that are open in a few minutes. There is not time allocated to look around. Then you walk all the way back to the restaurant/river area to walk the opposite direction and cross the river. You then walk for miles to see a museum that is closed, and even if it was open you don't have time to go in. Then you walk all the way back to cross the river and go back almost to the market to catch the train. Our tour guide Ariel was fine, but such a badly planned out tour. After you get off the first train, or go to the cathedral, a cafe for a coffee and then walk again through a really interesting suburb of shops, but again no time to spend there looking around. Onto the last train which drops you about 30 minutes by taxi, from the city centre. You cant use the subway as you don't have a metro card and using the bus system when you don't know directions, or the language is not viable. All around a disappointing day. Tigre is lovely if you are not backtracking, and the boat ride is great. The rest is not good.
We would recommend the cruise, it was enjoyable trip along the riverfront to the estuary of the river Plate. We would have given it 3.5 to 4 but we had a guide who did not add much to our tour. There was on board tour announcement but our guide kept too much to herself and provided very little additional tour information like the other guides to their guests. Essentially we had a guide who met us told us where to go, bought our tickets, but very little else. We had other tours that provided much more colour. Perhaps she was new or was shy to speak English.
The boat ride was very nice and gave insight into how people in that area live. The town of Tigre was good although there isn't much to see. My tour guide Oliver was very informative and personable. I would recommend this as something different from the run of the mill city tour.
A fantastic excursion! My husband, I and two friends were met at the pier by our guide, Alejandra. She was excellent - she told us may interesting pieces of information throughout the day, including where to sit for the best views. The boat ride was interesting, lunch was delicious, and the train ride gave us a peek into real life in Buenos Aires. I would highly recommend this tour!
What a wonderful surprise. This exceeded our expectations. Our guide was excellent as she was knowledgeable, fun to be with and met our special interests. Her english was perfect. This experience added so much to our time in Buenos Aires.
Everything ran on time and very smoothly. I was pleased to discover we had a tour guide for only four people so we got very special attention. Great inexpensive way to spend the day!
We really enjoyed this tour. This is our third visit to BA and the first time we have toured outside the city. Learning about the formation of the islands in the delta was fascinating, although it was often hard to hear the commentary inside the boat mainly because of other noisy travelers. We also got to experience and learn about the lovely city of Tigre where Argentinians and tourists alike enjoy the leisure activities this place has on offer The tour was well organized and our English speaking guide was excellent, with lots of knowledge that she was keen to share. She was also very responsive to our needs and requests. If you go in summer, take a hat and sunscreen.
Great experience, all around. Allesandra was informative and pleasant to learn about the delta Tigre and its inhabitants and history. Gave us a lot of great information and set a pace we could enjoy the entire day long! Another wonderful day in Buenos Aires!
A very nice experience, beautiful landscapes, everything excellent, super attentive and friendly guides always willing to talk to you about history and tradition, all great! Totally recommended.
Very nice, reading and recommended to spend a relaxing day with good friends. Cassandra very professional and trained.
Very good, only I would have liked a nicer place to love very dark though the bread was rich
Very good guide named Ariel. It was very interesting and I got to know the Tiger Delta and other places in Tigre. It was a beautiful day with us the weather and the company.
The price quality ratio of the tour is not good. The explanation detailed on the page is far from what is actually experienced
El tours debe mantenerse con guías en pequeños grupos, con fin de que se conozca con claridad los atractivos de este lugar
The Delta Tigre Full Day tour is super recommended.. Very well-kept city. many European references in buildings... City tour very cool... river walk is different from everything you've ever seen in Brazil.... Recommended.
