The dinner was delicious! Not far to walk to the show (just across the road), the show was amazing, the dancers, musicians and singers were very talented, highly recommended

My experience was horrible. We didn’t even get to go to the dinner. We were informed last minute that the location was in Argentina and not Costa Rica. The person contacted us at the time were supposed to be there(which is an hour earlier in Costa Rica!) I tried to get a refund and contact Viator. They told that I went to the excursions when I didn’t. Then said I had to wait 75 days to get a response back. 0/10 will not do it again!
Great show, all seats have an excellent view. Dancers were superb. One of the highlights of our trip!
The dinner and show was fantastic. If you want to see authentic tango with no rush this is the show . Great customer service ! Will come again
The evening was awesome. I paid for transport and got picked up right at my apartment complex. Dinner was great, right across the road from the show. A whole bottle of wine was included. My waiter was so nice. He carried over my undrunk wine to the table at the show. Our names were at our tables. The show was marvelous.
We chose the package that included dinner and show. Both were wonderful. The food was excellent and the service too. The tango shows was also excellent, great dancers and singers.
Excellent food at the restaurant, the attention A+. The show well choreographed and with awesome variety
Dinner was excellent and good quality. We enjoyed thoroughly the drinks and three course dinner. Food was prepared excellently and more than we can eat. Show was good but room was very small so it obstructed our view. In 2023 we saw another Tango Show which was better as far as I remember and the hall was huge and stage was lot higher so it did not obstruct anybody's view. The dance quality was better and the whole show told us a story which was missing here.
Very bad service and performance. Slight discrimination on seat arrangement. Very bad service to ask tips. Bad experience.
Attending a tango show in Buenos Aires was an unforgettable highlight of our honeymoon - and even more special as it fell on my birthday. We chose the full experience at El Viejo Almacen, which included dinner before the show, champagne during the performance and pick-up and drop-off from our Airbnb. From the moment the performance began, the atmosphere was electric. The dancers were mesmerising - precise, powerful and deeply expressive. Their connection and intensity were captivating, telling stories through every movement. The musicians were exceptional, bringing richness and authenticity to the performance, and the singers added such emotional depth with their powerful and evocative voices. One particularly striking moment was a duo performance that blended tango with a dramatic, almost martial-arts-like routine - incorporating movements reminiscent of nunchaku-style choreography. It was unexpected, dynamic and completely unique, adding a thrilling edge to the traditional programme. What made the evening truly extraordinary, however, was an entirely unexpected surprise. The legendary Argentine singer Hugo Marcel made a special appearance and, to our amazement, wished us a happy honeymoon and birthday from the stage. It was such a generous and heartfelt gesture. Hearing his voice live was incredible - he is immensely talented - and in that moment my heart was racing. It was an evening filled with passion, artistry and beautiful surprises - one we will remember for the rest of our lives.
What a fabulous evening, a great 3 course dinner with wine, and across the road to watch an evening of tango and singing. Great a must do when in Buenos Aires.
Very good experience should do it a least once very good service they pick up up at your hotel and bring you to the event
This was an absolutely amazing experience for if you are a solo traveler or with a group. I really had a great time and experience.
Here for work and our local guide recommended this spot out of all the tango places in Buenos Aires and it did not disappoint! Driver was prompt and courteous. Dinner was fantastic and service was prompt. We received our tango ticket when we sat down. Then we were kindly directed (without feeling rushed) to the tango show across the street. I would have preferred to choose my own seat since we arrived early and still had a partially obstructed view. The performance was wonderful - talented, passionate dancers and musicians. I was surprised with the variety as well - tango, singing, band-focuses performances, and the gauchos were especially amazing. Great Argentine experience overall and a great deal! Note: if you are vegetarian, make sure to mention that to the server. My pumpkin ravioli came with ham/bacon bits in the sauce.
They changed the time from 8:30 to 9:30 and gave us no choice. Then it didn’t start until after 10pm. We had a very early start the next day and never would have booked this at the later time. The seats were under an overhang and I could only see 1/2 of what was going on. The piano player had no head the entire show. I missed 1/2 of every movie they played. Missed a bunch of the dances because of the overhang and a huge pole in front of me. Ridiculous to sell seats for so much money and have an obstructed view. I am honestly furious and feel ripped off.
The experience was first rate from the pickup from the hotel, the dinner, and to the drive back to the hotel. While the dinner was okay the show was tremendous. While we had a bottle of wine with dinner, the show included drinks.
We did the 9:30pm tango show with no dinner. We ate dinner in the area and then came for the show. The show started around 10 but we got there at 9:20 and got to enjoy beverages (included) while we waited. The show ended around 11:30 so it was a long show. The musicians were fantastic and the tango dancing was so impressive. The location was intimate and historic. You will not be disappointed!
This tango show was awesome! I had better dinners at other restaurants but the show is more than worth it!
You are allocated seats and quite a few have a restricted view of the stage. There are two very large pillars and you can’t see the whole stage. You should also be aware the show doesn’t start until about 10.
Dinner was in the building across the street. It was very good. After dinner you went over to show. The show was fantastic. They did only speak in Spanish but we were able to follow along. Some days were limited viewing but you could still see most of the stage.
This is an evening with a 12 punch. The restaurant had linen table clause in a very nice offering of food. The atmosphere was lovely. Then you go just across the street to the theater where the tango show is fabulous. I would recommend this to anybody young and old.
Meal was really good and the waiter was excellent. The Tango show was fantastic good view. The only down side was the transport to the restaurant we were late getting there because the driver waited for over ten minutes at one hotel for two people who never turned up. We were the last ones getting to the restaurant and then into the show hall.
A fantastic experience! In a small intimate venue with so much history that changed the music of tango forever. great dance troupe and musicians that come together to bring unforgettable memories. Not to be missed and a shout out to the hostesses & servers who were extremely attentive with a wonderful sence of hospitality
Authentic Porteño tango show with excellent local artists and wonderful service. Small and cozy, without the Hollywood-type production as other bigger establishments. If you want a genuine and local experience, this is the place.
Yesterday I attended a tango show at El Viejo Almacén in Buenos Aires, and I highly recommend it. The experience included dinner and drinks, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The show was absolutely beautiful—truly unforgettable. The dancers, music, and atmosphere captured the spirit of Argentine tango perfectly. I would also like to highlight the excellent service. Leticia, our waiter, provided outstanding and attentive service throughout the evening. Ximena at the theater was also very kind and professional. Overall, it was an amazing program, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Buenos Aires!
Didn't expect much regarding the meal, but was pleasantly surprised with a nice selection and decent food, and service. I expected a lot from the Tango, and got that in spades!! It was fantastic. Well done.
The performers and musicians were very talented. BEWARE OF SEATS. They are assigned to you by venue. We were assigned seats that were on second level but BEHIND THE STAGE. Our view was the back of the performers. The venue should warn customers that these are “limited view” at best. The owner apologized and offered us to come back again for free, but it was our last night. Also, the show doesn’t start until after 22:00 so don’t rush to get there on time. The hostess told us to arrive by 21:20 but our waiter didn’t even take our first drink order until 21:50.
Great intimate venue. We enjoyed the smaller venue. Food was delicious and plenty of it. Service was personable. They had English speaking servers. Tango show was marvelous. Good value.
The show was good. buyer beware... You get what you pay for in terms of seating. I bought the least expensive seats and was in the very back row (poor visibility, next to the bathroom, with the lights not dimmed). All seating is not equal in this small venue.
Excellent and energetic dancers, talented singers and a superb band. Glad we booked this excursion. It was worth the money. Dinner was good but below my expectations. Pickup was smooth and on time. I would do this again and recommend to my friends.
Transported timely and efficient and the show n dinner were excellent The dancers were professional The solo elder man did sing too many songs
The dancing room was very crowded and if you are at the back you can’t see the full effects of the dancers
The show was wonderful! If you book it, I would specify that you want a table in the middle or not in the back corner because our visibility was a bit obstructed by the mezzanine ceiling. Overall great experience though.
The tango show and dinner were excellent. Everything was very well organized and the show was beautiful. There was a variety of dancers and singers, and the band was incredible.
First class. Booked day before and communications excellent. The show was a r elevation. Superb dancers whose fluidity and speed of dance was exciting. As indeed were the other acts on the show. We found the food in the restaurant opposite to the show was also high quality along with the service.. well worth the price.
What a great, perfect evening! Everything went so smoothly, from our hotel pickup in the Ricoleta district, to the return home after the great show. We opted to have the dinner included, and I'm very happy we did. It was a delicious full dinner of steak or another option and several courses included with dessert. Service and Christmas decor in the restaurant set the mood for the evening. After dinner, we just walked across the street to the tango show, where we had a reserved table, and actually had the same, very nice waiter from our dinner. The tango show was awesome, and they say it is one of the most historic and authentic tango shows in Buenos Aires, which we believe. We highly recommend this tour, dinner and show! Thank you for a wonderful, memorable evening.
Dinner was excellent and the show that followed was unforgettable - passionate singing, dancing, and music that captured the true essence of Argentine tango. Highly recommend!
This is the Best Tango show that we’ve seen. This truly shows the history of Tango’s culture. I would highly recommend this as a must do in Buenos Aires.
Excellent show but terrible seat. Could not see well, so disappointed. Large man in front and his partner holding up phone to record everything. Torture really. It could have been magical. Nice venue. Excellent dinner with great wait staff.
I booked this event 6 weeks in advance. We arrived on time, and were literally seated in the last row of the very crowded venue. There were open tables and yet we were wedged in a table between the ladies restroom and the noisy server/manager area. Then we were moved to a table on the side-which was constantly blocked by servers with drinks and the performers. Additionally, I view was obstructed. We could not see their feet (so no real show) and their heads were cut off my the balcony overhang, The local manager did not seem to care, although he reseated others. So we eventually left because we could not actually see the show.Do yourself a favor and booked through another service. The local operator never responded to our calls regarding the venue or service.
Excellent Tango and Dinner Show - not to be missed! Dinner and wines were excellent, and the show that followed was exceptional…a great value and must when visiting Buenos Aires!
We were so happy we got the dinner option. The food was very good and the restaurant set the mood for the performance.
The tango show was absolutely fantastic and truly memorable. The dancers and musicians were incredibly talented and the atmosphere was great. However, we would recommend booking the show only, as the dinner unfortunately did not meet the same standard.
Delicious 3 Course Dinner !!! Great Customer Service !!! Excellent Tango Show !!! I highly recommend booking this event !!! 💯💯💯
We were impressed by the quality of the performance. The tango dancers, singers, and drummers are professionals. The highlight towards the end is the famous tango singer, Hugo Marcel, performed. Of course, the three course meal was excellent. Highly recommend!
Show was good. Took a taxi from cruise port to the place. It was too crowded. The seating they gave was on a side. The post infront of us were blocking the view. Asked them to change the seats.or give refund. After 25 minutes they gave 2 seats at the back. Not great either. After the show we asked for transfer. They didn't charge because we were their guest. Try Tango portino. Similar pricing, theater looks great and on the main road. Tango show.
Great tango, everything taken care of . Pick up was on time and very good. Dinner was good, short walk across the street to great authentic tango show
The Tango Show was great! Very entertaining and professional. They tell you to arrive at 9pm , but that doesn’t really seem necessary. We ended up standing in line for over 30 minutes. Seats were assigned, so it doesn’t make a difference whether you come early. Overall, a great experience.
Amazing experience and very talented dancers! The show exceeded our expectations and highly recommend
The booking process was easy but didn’t get any response from my inquiry. However, the food and the show was fantastic 👍🏻
