First time and it was amazing.
Amazing. Dinner was fantastic. Our server (Antonio) was the best! Friendly and funny, he made our experience superb. Then went to the show and the 1.5 hours was a non stop of incredible entertainment. The dancers, the musicians, the entire act was just SPECTACULAR. Highly recommended.
What an unforgettable evening in Buenos Aires! The three-course dinner before the show was absolutely delicious, and the tango show was spectacular. It takes you on a fascinating journey through the history and evolution of tango, featuring its legendary performers and incredible dancers. A truly memorable experience and a must-do for anyone visiting Buenos Aires!
Very good show! Would recommend for first time viewers. Very entertaining.
We chose dinner and tango show , great service and dinner ended with an excellent dance show , totally satisfied!
Dancers were excellent. The waiter in the restaurant will remind you at the end of the meal when paying, that a tip has not been included in the bill. Opt for the VIP seat.
Good show, worth the money. Performers include a very famous Argentina singer, Mr Hugo Marcel, he is 84 years old but still performed very well.
An excellent dance show, we had a great evening with dinner and show. Dinner is across the road with excellent service and unlimited drinks really did happen. As you arrive you are given your table number in the show, and service was quick but not rushed so you were finished before the show started. The show was great - excellent performances and excellent atmosphere. You get 2 free drinks there and service was prompt. Overall a must do when in Buenos Aires. We didn’t book the transport - uber was cheap and easy to get both directions.

The show was beautiful, colorful, and super entertaining. The dinner, however, could definitely be improved.
Impressive dancers, lots of airtime for Hugo Marcel, which could have been cut by half: but ultimately worth a visit. Kind staff who pointed out a close late night eatery nearby after the show.
EVA offers a dinner/show package that’s hard to pass up, especially for celiacs. The tango show alone costs 70 USD, but if you pay another 50 bucks you not only get a 3-course dinner, you also get a door-to-door ride to and from the venue from nearly anywhere in the city. If you’re a true foody, you’ll probably be disappointed with the food on offer at EVA, which is good but not great. If you’re a celiac, however, you’ll really appreciate the care taken with cross-contact and also with the convenience of eating right next door to the show venue, which is in San Telmo, a neighborhood with very few celiac-safe restaurants. The night I was there, the menu had two gluten-free options for each category: appetizer, entrée, dessert. A bottle of the house Malbec is also included in the ticket price.
Fabulous show in an intimate venue.
We booked the VIP package and it was wonderful. 3 course dinner then moved over to the theatre area for the Tango Show and again we were given drinks. The show was spectacular
Very entertaining show! Excellent dancers, dinner before the show was excellent. Kind staff. It was a very lovely venue but don't sit under the ledge because it does restrict your view of a short video presentation--- it does not restrict the view of the show itself
The dancing and the choreography as well as the setting were amazing
Good food and entertaining dancing
I really enjoyed the show. Unfortunately, it started late and we had to leave at 11;05. It should have ended at 11.
If you enjoy seeing 1/2 of a show, this is for you. Not only did the operator change the time of our booked event without our consent, but then it started over 1/2 hour late so we were almost 2 hours behind what we had scheduled. The seats were ATROCIOUS. How dare they charge so much for us to see the bottom 1/2 of a movie and of people. The piano player had no head, a remarkable thing. Between the overcharge above us that blocked the top half of the stage and a big pole directly in our line of site, it was ridiculous. Shame on this tour operator for providing such awful seats to customers. It ruined the entire experience - besides being too tired due to the very late start, not being able to actually see what was going on was just plain awful. A shame that the artists worked hard to perform a show that we were unable to actually see properly.
Great show the dancing the singer and the venue was excellent. Try to getvacsezr in the center of the room but if you can't its OK, only did the show not the dinner
The dinner service next door was notably expedited, and my steak was undercooked. We were unable to finish our wine before being directed to the adjacent building for the performance. The show commenced an hour behind schedule, and the venue was overcrowded, limiting mobility. While the tango performance was enjoyable, the subsequent prolonged vocal acts led to audience disengagement...we left early with about another 20% of the audience.
We opted for just the show and really enjoyed the whole program. The dancers, drummers, singers and band were fantastic. We sat upstairs overlooking the stage and felt very close to the whole experience. Well done!
The show which is in San Telmo area starts at 10 pm and is for about 2 hours. It includes tango dancers, singers and other entertainment. The show was good, particularly the band and dancers but might not be for someone who would prefer to see just the dancing. The 3 course meal in a bright restaurant opposite the show venue was ok. Our ticket did include a bottle of wine with dinner and drinks throughout the show so great if you like a drink. The restaurant and venue were quite cold so maybe take a jacket. It was still an enjoyable evening but we would do it differently if we booked again.
Excellent tango show in atmospheric setting. Definitely worth doing. The staff were also lovely. The dancing, singing and the band were great. And we loved the gauchos!
Meal in separate restaurant literally 10m opposite in nice surrounding and prompt service. Food & wine both good. Followed by over 1.5 hours of tango and gaucho bolas display plus added bonus of Hugo Marcel singing classic tango songs which the locals in the audience were mad for and which I enjoyed his professionalism. Very enjoyable and much recommended!
Meal takes place in the restaurant opposite entrance and is not the best food, but then go into Almacen for the show. We upstairs overlooking stage- absorbing and incredible the speed of dance, 2 people from the gaucho show also preformed, all riveting and a great evening, the musicians also entertaining and good
Very good place, excellent personal attention,… it’s not about TANGO. it’s a circus show, dance show. Really reagretable to intend to pass by argetinian tango.
So we booked this show on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews - thanks to all that review things! We had a great time. We booked the dinner and show package that included a pick up from our hotel. Smooth pick up and a very warm welcome to the smart Restaurant for our supper. Supper was great ; a super fresh salad to start then the perfect medium sirloin steak for main. My partner had the vegetarian option and that was good too. Trifle and a crème caramel to conclude. Drinks seem to be included throughout the evening and the red wine went down a treat. A walk over the road for the show. Sat upstairs and had the best seats in the house to view the fabulous show. Lots of dancing and great music in a sparkling sexy, sexy show. The speciality act was fun and enjoyable and the boys in the band and two singers were excellent too. All in all a great evening. A lovely meal then great entertainment for 80 minutes. Warmly recommended.
Great and entertaining tango show! They ended up giving us 3 drinks included(1 glass of champagne and 2 of your choosing). Very hectic and disorganized getting into the theater but great experience once we were seated.
The Tango Show is excellent. Good variety to keep us entertained. The dinner far exceeded what we expected. Excellent dinner in the restaurant across the street. Highly recommend dinner and show.
First of all, my ticket —which I downloaded from the app— had the wrong time printed. The ticket for “show only” (no dinner) said 9:00 PM. But when we got there they said it was actually starting at 10:00 PM. So we wandered around for another 45 minutes. Then after we were seated, we waited at least an hour to get our free drinks. Performance-wise the show is above average. The most enjoyable aspects for us were the talented musicians in the 4-piece orchestra and some of the athletic dancing, including a performance by 2 “gauchos” who spun ropes with amazing speed and precision. The costumes are beautiful and the performers polished and well choreographed. A few elements, like the singers (especially the last one) could have been shorter or deleted — considering the late start of the show. Definitely recommended but double check the time in your ticket with the website.
The show itself was good but the experience was terrible. They kept us waiting outside for 45 minutes and it was total chaos at the door. Quite simply they totally oversold the show and took a long time to cramp us all in. The couple before us took a taxi and went home because they were so fed up. Such a shame to let down the artists ... there are surely better ways to do this!
Fantastic show with expert dancers & musicians. I've worked in entertainment for 45+ years and this group was top notch. The staff makes every effort for the full house crowd to be comfortable and satisfied. Don't miss this historic aspect of Buenos Aires culture. Good job all!
Excellent! Authentic, intimate, gorgeous artistry, cant miss this beautiful show. We will return next time in BA for sure. Highly recommended by everyone in my group of 6!
My daughter and I spent a couple of days in Buenos Aires, which we loved. Apparently, accordingly to my daughters App, one afternoon we had walked 3400 steps around the city!!!!! Our evening at El Viego Almacen Tango Show was amazing and beyond our expectations. Our package included diner, drinks, pick up and drop off from the hotel. The dinner, which was across the road from the event was nice, and the hospitality, from staff was exceptional. We were fortunate to have a nice table, in the middle, and near to the front. The tango show was fantastic and the dancers were amazing. An experience we both will never forget. Highly recommended.
Wonderful show, the dancers were amazing, fabulous lifts and kicks and flicks. I am a Strictly fan and Argentine Tango is a fave, and you will not be disappointed! We had dinner first, good steak, great Argentine wine. All round super experience and worth it. Did not realise how famous this place is for Tango until it was pointed out next day on our bus tour! Bit of Buenos Aires history as well, definitely worth it!
An experience beyond expectations Our evening at El Viejo Almacén was truly beyond expectations. The food was incredible—beautifully prepared and full of flavor—and the tango show was absolutely magnificent, powerful, and deeply moving. What made the night even more special was the exceptional hospitality. The transfer service staff and our waiter went above and beyond to make us feel at home, welcomed, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience. This is more than dinner and a show—it’s an unforgettable Buenos Aires memory. Highly recommended.
Re-sellers! Beware! False advertising. We got the VIP package and was not unlimited wine or drinks. They were over 30 mins late to pickup and late to venue.
We had booked dinner and this tango show with Secrets of Buenos Aires and it went beyond our expectations. As vegetarians, we were concerned about what we would get to eat but there was plenty of choice for us. The restaurant was lovely and our waiter a real character. The tango show was just incredible, with the performances of the dancers so amazing. Although singing was in Spanish that we don’t speak, it didn’t distract from the quality of the singers. We only had 3 days in Buenos Aires and I’m so glad we booked this as it topped off our visit.
A highly recommended show! We did the dinner and theatre experience and it did not disappoint. The food was great, the performances were incredible.
My wife and I booked the tango show only with 1 drink included per ticket. The ticket says to arrive by 9pm and the tango show will start at 930pm. We get seated at nine at a four top in the penultimate row of tables in the back with another couple already seated. However, they have taken the 2 front seats of the table closest to the stage instead of sitting one behind the other so my wife and I are both sitting behind a person instead of one of us sitting behind the other so unless you're both tall, you're already having your view blocked. By 930, groups are still getting seated and we have yet to be served our drink included with our booking. By 10pm, people are still being seated, the show still hasn't started, and we still haven't been served our drink. Don't waste your time and look elsewhere. I have to figure out how to get my money back now.
Dance show was very good, but singer (Hugo Marcel) performed for too long. Also, we were told that although our reservation clearly stated November 19, they said the actual reservation was for November 20. They were able to accommodate us, but in the last row.
Great Tango show!! I’d have given the show a 5 out of 5, but the dinner portion of our VIP dinner package was disappointing. My sirloin was dry and soaked in salty mushroom sauce, the veggies were overcooked. My mousse dessert was quite boring. IMO, it was not worth the extra $ for upgraded food. That said, we did appreciate the front row seat (VIP perk) at the show. I highly recommend the show, not sure I’d repeat the VIP dinner.
The venue for the show was fantastic. Really cute place and we sprung for the VIP dinner experience so had good seats up front. Dinner was marginal and across the street in the restaurant. We were upstairs and, though service was good, food was just ok and environment a little sterile with bright lights that either didn't have a dimmer to create some ambience or they just didn't bother. Would suggest just having dinner somewhere close to the theater and getting VIP seats for the show. Really was an amazing show. Staff was super helpful and nice but at end made it very clear that we needed to tip. No idea how much since we paid for a bundle of both meal and show but expected to tip for dinner and then after show. Sort of weird because I think we were the only people they made that clear too. :-) That was a little confusing but I get it; staff isn't working for free.
Absolutely loved the venue it was quaint with so much character, so much better than a large theatre. The show was so professional it was fabulous. We just booked the show and a drink option, and you could buy more if wanted, which was great for us. The meals option is not served at the venue, but in a nearby restaurant anyway. The staff were so friendly and attentitive. A gem of a place, so glad we booked it.
Tango sure is a dance of passion; that was reflected by the performances. Our server was very attentive and cordial. The show only option offered us 2 drinks. We availed 2 glasses of Malbec each. Would definitely recommend this show.
El Viejo Almacén Tango Show was absolutely incredible! From the very first moment to the last, I couldn’t take my eyes off the stage. The length of the show was perfect — not too long and not too short. We booked the show with drinks only, took an Uber there and back, and everything went smoothly. It truly felt like a world-class performance!
My wife and I booked the Tango + Dinner show as part of our anniversary celebration. It was a great decision. The dinner was decent and there was some variety for attendees to pick from. You could find better nearby, but we appreciated the convenience factor with the restaurant being directly across the street from the venue, literally a 5 second walk from door to door. The show however was amazing. We enjoyed the dancing, singing, and musicians. The highlight was when Hugo Marcel came out to sing and as the show was closing he wished my wife and I a Happy 5th wedding anniversary. 100% recommend.
What a show! I didn’t know what to expect. It wasn’t just tango but singing and other activities. The dancers were incredible. It was a well rounded show that kept my attention.
