Wonderful evening! Very well organized, lovely venue. The food was much better than I expected. Met some delightful patrons. The entertainment was energetic and very talented. Highly recommend.

We opted for show and transport without dinner. So we cannot comment on the food. The show was an hour long with tango, and gaucho dance, singing, drums and orchestra. The performers were excellent. The place was crowded. The only problem is the layout of the tables made it difficult for people to see everything clearly. We were fine though. There was free bottle of wine of your choice and water. The transportation was smooth, but we had to wait a bit when being picked up. Overall a great experience.
Excellent show. Great musical and visual experience. Highly recommended. Dinner was delicious. Early option worked out well.
It was a bit hectic at the ticket office. We had the tickets bought in advance via Viator and yet we had to queue together with people who had no tickets. Finally some people who bought tickets on the spot had better seats than we did. From where we sat it was a bit difficult to see the stage. It’s a massive tourist thing, even though the performers were really good
A wonderful show that included about 8 dancers, one singer and a 4 piece band. The food was also very good.
I would recommend this but not VIP option. The extra cost for VIP is not worth it. Dinner quality was good. Show was good. Also, it would be worth checking if really need the pickup option versus getting there yourself.
Was fantastic. Dinner was excellent, venue charming and show spectacular. Having an early dinner and show was helpful. And they even provided transportation! Highly recommend!
I arrived later than expected I did a package deal and the provided transportation was late so they hired an Uber for me to the show fine, stuff happens. I was seated at a decent table close enough to the stage, was left waiting about 10 to 15 mins. Then I was given some bread, no olive oil or butter, despite me seeing every other table with it. I was told to scan a qr code for menu. I asked why other tables had physical menus, I was given a menu in English which is what I wanted with my package he explained it comes with 2 glasses of wine 🍷, appetizer, entree and dessert, awesome, I requested white wine, caprese salad, parm chicken, and flan for my dessert. So I'm left waiting again 15 to 20 mins finally my salad comes, but no wine so I inform server I never got my wine which everyone else had before appetizer, so he asked which I wanted again white wine. I received my entree. I was able to finish before the show started. Then I was given my 2nd glass of wine and my dessert. So before the show even ends I have a plate placed infront of me for the tip which I really didnt want to leave as I felt neglected most of the night so I said I didn't have any cash, keep in mind the show hadn't ended and I didn't get to see it now because I'm waiting for him to bring the card reader payment. So I leave 15,000 or 10 USD I was annoyed I didn't receive good service and felt like I wasn't treated as well as the others, I felt neglected and was pressured into tipping. I regret not just saying okay and leaving. The food was good, and the show was too.
We were picked up at our hotel around 6:30 in a mid-size bus. There was a little mix-up with two drivers arriving, but it was sorted quickly and didn’t cause any problems. The short 10-minute ride was pleasant, and we even met some fellow travelers, which made the evening more fun. Upon arrival, we posed for a quick photo on stage before being seated at our table. Dinner was excellent—truly the best meal of our two-week trip. The empanadas were flavorful and could have been a meal on their own. The steak was a standout: perfectly medium, tender, and lean without being fatty. As Americans who eat plenty of steak, we were genuinely impressed. The Malbec wine paired beautifully. The show itself was outstanding. Two pairs of tango dancers performed both as duets and all four together, and being in such an intimate venue meant we could really appreciate the intricate footwork. The gaucho dancing and bolo performance were unforgettable—fast, rhythmic, and unlike anything we’ve seen except perhaps Hawaiian fire dancers. The live music from the quartet and the young vocalist added depth to the experience. We chose Aljibe because it offered an earlier showtime, which fit perfectly after a long travel day. In the end, it exceeded expectations. Between the excellent dinner, talented performers, and close-up atmosphere, this was a highlight of our time in Buenos Aires. Highly recommended.
Show was fantastic, food was good and the waiter service was exceptional. Pick up at hotel was on time and we had front view of the show.
Excellent show and good. Note to management - don’t allow staff to pester customers for tips whilst the show is on, it was distracting and annoying as they went from table to table speaking over the music and thrusting a plate in front of customers informing them this was putting tips on. Also the noise from the kitchen, plates being washed and stacked was noisy and distracting during the show. Simple things to make it a very enjoyable experience.
Great operator. There was an issue with our original booking so they rescheduled us to Michelangelo next door. Very easy and the show was amazing!
Good meal, great show. Service was rushed and impersonal. Shuttle bus from hotels was surprisingly long; we went in circles.
An unexpected highlight of our trip! Beautiful warm cozy theater. Attentive service. Free flowing wine. Great food. Spirited performers. Well organized. Highlight of our trip! And we are quite discriminating travelers. Very reasonably priced
Excellent Tango performance. Located in the historic district of Buenas Aries. Picked up from Our hotel, arrived at the location, and greeted kindly. Dinner and wait service were excellent. The culinary experience was amazing, excellent steaks and empanadas. The talent for the tango show surpassed all expectations 10 stars! This event was amazing and a must when visiting Buenas Aires and learning about their culture.
Hands down a terrific evening. From the pick up to the venue everything ran smoothly. Food was great with many options for all 3 courses. Show was terrific! This is not to be missed!
We booked this show through our hotel as it was the earliest happening and with kids age 8 and 11 we thought that might work. We only booked the show. Pick up was in a timeslot if 30 minutes and we got picked up at the end. So waited for quite a while. Show started on time and we got some drinks. Performance was great but very loud. Our kids found it a bit too much. Best was the gaucho performance. The whole show was more of an artistic experience so the kids liked it more than they thought when they heard tango show.
Food and service was excellent. Much better than expected. Show was espectacular. Musicians and dancers alike.
Dinner & tango show was excellent. Transfer to the venue was too long due to pick ups from other hotels!!!!
Loved the performance…excellent music and dancing! Our teenage son also enjoyed the music, especially Libertango. It is a very family friendly venue and show.
The dancing was excellent as was the meal. Certainly exceded our expectations. All aspects of the evening were handled well. The check went much smoother than expected as smnay were ahead of us on arrival. All good!
No photos were allowed, but the performances of the tango as well as other traditional dance forms were excellent. The dinner was good and the wine was also good.
Great performance, very hard working staff. Food okay for such a big value. Great night, fairly efficient at the end of the night with hotel drop offs.
Picked up at hotel smoothly. Dinner was 3 courses with wine included. Food was good with good choices. Musicians were great and the dancers were very talented. Really enjoyed the gaucho performance as well.
This is a amazing show!! I would say it’s worth many times more than what we paid. Mesmerising show. A must when visiting this beautiful city
Still drooling over the amazing steak. And the show was a true variety show with super talented musicians and dancers. Recommended by a friend and I will definitely recommend to others.
The shows is really good but the steak is kind of tough.i wish they have more tender meat. I ordered well done steak but still come out a little bit pink.
The dinner was great and the show was amazing. Highlight of our visit. We were outside of the pickup range in Recoleta so we had to use a taxi.
Great dancers! The accordion player was FANTASTIC! Just a super show all the way around. Great venue and food as well.
I would recommend the dinner & show. It was good food and a great show. However, just take a taxi. The transportation was not timely. We were told to wait in our hotel lobby at 6:30 for pickup. 45 minutes later and the van finally showed up which made us late to the 7:00 dinner. Understandable that the van picked up people from multiple hotels but that was not communicated up front and that there would be a pickup window between 6:30-7:00.
Sometimes these all inclusive ‘local’ evening shows with meal can be a bit of a let down, with a feeling that you’re just on the tourist trail but this was different. The assurance/communication from the company that our guide would pick us up from our hotel was efficient. The location was atmospheric and the food choices and quality was very good for the type of evening. The wine was excellent and one bottle between 2 was a good deal. The show was professional and offered a variety of tango dancing, singing, gaucho/boleros and music. All in all a worthwhile and enjoyable evening. Thank you.
Not for a Solo Traveller. I went and purchased a ticket for dinner and show. I travel solo so they gave me a table at the corner. I was one of the first ones to arrive. They served me water and gave me a menu. 15 minutes later and the whole place is already filled up. Servers have already served wines to groups in tables. They are already tossing their glasses with wines. I only have water. Two servers have passed by and I asked for my wine and they said its coming. Another 15 minutes and I still have only water at the table. People in groupd are already being served with the main menu The server came and asked for my choice. I asked him about my wine. 10 minutes have passed and no wine came. I left the table and ask for my reimbursement. Let the theater bar and promise not to go back there again nor recommend it for solo traveller. Looks like the servers are only interested in serving a group because they can get more tips. Really a bad experience. The guy who gave me back my money asked me if I want to go to another place so he can book me. Looks like he knew how bad the service is at his place.
FANtastic, so much better than anticipated from the food, wine, service to the absolutely amazing talent of the show. Shuttle transfer from our hotel made the transportation easy. Highly recommend this performance.
The food was delicious and way too much, especially by the time they deliver dessert. The meal included a bottle of wine or soft drinks; not sure about beer. The show was pretty good but we’ve seen better dance shows elsewhere. It did not include audience participation. If you’re looking to tango with the dancers, try a different show.
My wife and I enjoyed a trip to the El Aljibe Tango and Dinner booked through Tangol. All booking instructions were clear and we were picked up on time at our hotel by a nice gentleman in a clean van and driven to San Telmo. After the excellent show, our driver was outside ready to drop us back to our hotel. Would book with Tangol again.
Very good dinner and excellent show - enjoyed the Gaucho dancing and rope with balls “demonstration” especially
I admit I was worried about the food since activities that include dinner usually aren’t great. However here we found the food was very good. We had the empanadas to start one in our group has the chef salad. For the main course we had the Grilled beef with potatoes. All was fantastic. The meat was cooked to order and had a great flavor. After dessert was served the show started. It was a great show. We enjoyed the live band. We learned from an earlier tour that the instruments used were the ones various immigrant groups brought with them. They then combined with other immigrants to form these makeshift bands. So the band was an excellent representation of real bands that would have existed in the area. The dancing was stellar. The gaucho dances were fantastic. We really enjoyed the variety. The show was a great balance. We are very happy we went to this show and recommend it. They accept credit cards for payment if paying in person. They also picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back afterwards. The transfer was done efficiently.
Excellent service, from the arrival Camilo receiving with very kindness, Lysander our waiter gave us unbeatable service. The food is delicious and very well served. The wonderful musicians, the dance show, singers and boleas of the best. A highly recommended place, very complete for an unforgettable evening.
A spectacular dinner show! First, a Friendly Welcoming, then a typical photo shoot (worth $4,000 AR). Giving it is pleasant, meat worthy of the Argentine reputation! Then the show, magic. A great show. Fabulous dancers, beautiful music and sumptuous costumes. Very nice Tango Show experience!
Overall the service is very good, the dinner is good, and the show I liked, the price is expensive value for money, but to hang out is fine, we order steak chorizo and the vegetables that accompany it are delicious, dessert not so much.
Horrible, I have no words to describe how horrible I had!!!! The service is lousy! We had to order at least 5 times each... This restaurant was indicated by the hotel where I stayed, I had been told it was a very good show and the food too.. In my opinion, the food was nice, but the waiters' attention was the worst! I have a very bad time, I do not recommend for anyone, because they will only waste their time! The show is not good either!
I wanted to satisfy a wish of a person from outside who came for a short time and since it is almost the only show that starts early, I made the arrangements for this person to go alone. Then she called me and I had been delighted with the show but disappointed that they did not allow her to take pictures. I have been in shows in New York, in Egypt, in Spain, in the Bahamas, in Brazil, always oriented to the tourist, in some (few) did not allow photos but in the vast majority advised that you could take photos but WITHOUT FLASH, which seems prudent. What better memory can a tourist take to promote something if not through a photo or a small video? How much can they lose not allowing it? Do they think the photos will sell them? The person was happy for the show but disappointed that he could not take at least a souvenir photo of the show being perhaps the only time he passes through Buenos Aires again.
