This tour is a wonderful way to see many of the neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable and you will learn a lot about the areas you will visit. It’s a mostly flat route with many picturesque stops. One of the last stops, Carlos became our vendor and served Yerba Mate, which was fun, intimate, and yummy! Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for close up exploration of Buenos Aires.

I did this tour with two teenage kids. Our guide, Carlos, was terrific. It's not terribly strenuous, but you cover a ton of ground. Excellent mix of culture, history, and fun. Four hours goes by very quickly! Great mix of sites and neighborhoods. The city's bike lanes are really good, so it feels safe too! Highly recommend.
Carlos guided 4 of us around some of the top sights in BA City Center. The tour exceeded our expectations and helped us plan to make the most of our time in BA. We felt safe and the bikes were in great condition. Carlos shared very interesting facts about the history and culture of the city with knowledge and wit. His pride in his country and the Mate tradition was endearing!
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Julian was very knowledgeable and charismatic - we learned a lot and discovered some places to explore further! Highly recommend
Carlos was a wonderful guide, leading us on a safe-ish route through San Telmo, La Boca and Puerto Moderna, with stops to explain the history and culture of the area, answer questions and share mate. Great fun!
This was an easy bike ride around the old town and Boca. Stopped for sharing Mate infusion drink. Lots of history around why each area exists and the changes that have occurred in BA. Gilda was a knowledgeable guide and a safe leader in the bikes. We were given helmets and the bikes had gears.
Biking around Buenos Aires was a great way to see the sights in such a big city. Carlos was friendly and knowledgeable and I highly recommend this tour!
Carlos is a good person and a great guide. Loved the personal touch. Highly recommend this tour to start your vacation.
Superb half day tour with Carlos around old Buenos Aires. He was a wonderful guide with such a great knowledge of Argentinian history, it was great to learn so much about the country as well as this beautiful city. The bikes were excellent. We would thoroughly recommend Biker Street tours.
My partner and I did the history and culture bike tour on January 9th. The company communications are super helpful for finding the meeting point, choosing the means to get there, and estimating the time of arrival. Getting there a few minutes before the tour start time is great for selecting the right bike for you, testing it out, grabbing a helmet, etc. All equipment is in great condition, and the team will make any adjustments each person needs. We started the tour on time. It was the two of us, another couple, and our guide Carlos. We really enjoyed the tour. In a little bit over 3 and half hours we covered about 9 miles. Carlos was super engaging and gave us some history of Argentina, the city of Buenos Aires, and also of each neighborhood we visited. This tour really focuses on learning the local culture of Buenos Aires and some of its neighborhoods. We really enjoyed the "time off" we got in Caminito and the incredible empanadas, and the mate break was a perfect representation of how locals do mate. Carlos was super enthusiastic about introducing the city to us, answering all the questions we had, sharing tips and recommendations for exploring the city on our own, and stepping in as photographer in charge as needed. We had a great time and would absolutely recommend this tour and company.
Starting with explicit instructions regarding the meet up point, our trip was outstanding. Bike were comfortable and well maintained. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. The teens in our group were engaged with all the information discussed at the various stopping points. Loved learning about and trying the Matte as well. Despite the heat, we got a great overview of the history, language, and culture of Buenos Aires. Cannot recommend more highly.
What an excellent experience we had, exactly what we were hoping for. First time visiting Buenos Aires. Carlos is very knowledgeable about his city and culture, extremely friendly as well. Two thumb way up! 👍🏽👍🏽
This was not just a bike tour. It was a total experience. It was very well paced Julian. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much about the locals & history, enjoyed mate in the park and had homemade empanadas . The tour exceeded our expectations..
The price was great! The bike was great! Our tour guide, Carlo, was great. Yerba Mate was really great! I had a wonderful day.
We had an amazing day with Carlos! He did a great job of diving into the history and culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Super friendly and laid back, it was like we were hanging out with a friend all day. We hit up all the spots, picked up the best empanadas from an actual hole in a wall, and topped it all off with a traditional shared matte and cookie! Carlos made the tour one of the highlights of our visit.
Fantastic tour, really fun, informative and a great introduction to the city. An excellent start to our stay in Buenos Aires!
This was my favorite part of my trip to Buenos Aires. I recommend doing it early in your trip, because the info you get improves all of your other experiences in Buenos Aires. Carlos (aka Cali) was my guide. I was lucky enough to be the only one signed up that day! We went all around the south of Buenos Aires and I learned SO much: politics, tango geography, history, food/drink traditions, architecture, soccer, mate, and quite a bit about local nature! Carlos could not be a kinder or more welcoming host, which is only made better by the extent of his information about the city. Learning the history of tango from Carlos made my experience at a tango show SO much better. Sharing mate with Carlos was my favorite part of the tour. I also felt safe on the bike the whole time and I was nervous about that.
Great guide who was personable and gave just three of us a personalised day. I learnt a lot and saw a lot!
Carlos was our host for the tour and he was very friendly and accommodating and provided lots of great info on Argentine culture, history, and Buenos Aires generally. Great way to see the city.
The experience was soooo fun! We were able to quickly get oriented to the area and history of Buenos Aires and especially enjoyed stopping for a "Mate." The city is very bikeable, and I will recommend this excursion to our friends and family. Thank you!!!
BA is a great city to explore with a bicycle, with dedicated bike lanes, relatively flat and great weather. The tour is appropriately marketed as a cultural tour as our guide really went into the current matters and challenges faced by the BA people as well as sharing the experience of mate. Julian was very open to answering any question and nuggets of how cost of living has been changing. Lighter on historical landmarks and highlights. Had a great time biking around and seeing the city.
A wonderful trip. The bicycle was very good. The guide was very good. The information was very interesting. The guide helped me purchase empanadas from a genuine hole in the wall, literal hole in the wall, place in La Boca. They were very good.
Great way to see the city with an excellent local guide! We saw most neighborhoods and talked a ton about the history of the city.
The bike ride is relatively easy with plenty of stops along the way to view downtown Buenos Aires landmarks and learn about the political and cultural significance associated with them. The area covered has only a few small hills and mostly follows bike paths and less traveled streets. We had only 3 riders for our tour and our guide Carlos made sure that the bikes were properly adjusted prior to the start of the ride. He set a leisurely pace for the ride and made sure that we were able to stay together. The small size of the tour made it easy to ask questions and to get to know our guide better. My favorite part of the tour was getting to ride through several different neighborhoods in the city and being able to get a feel for some of the difference between them as opposed to just riding through them in a car or a bus. Carlos was an excellent tour guide and provided us with a little different viewpoint of daily life in Argentina than we got in a large group bus tour a few days earlier. He also gave us a lesson on the history and significance of Matte (a special Argentinian herbal tea that can be considered a national drink) and a chance to prepare and drink our own cup of Matte. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who was comfortable riding in moderate traffic and was not looking for a demanding ride.
The bikes were excellent. You will see all of old BA on the trip. It is an incredibly flat and easy ride. The tour guide could not have been more helpful and answered all of our questions and more. A great way to see a lot of BA in an efficient and fun way!
I saw so much of the city and learned so much from the guide! Political, history and cultural. I am a bit skittish biking in the US but here there are many dedicated bike lanes and I never felt unsafe. I would highly recommend this company.
We had a brilliant time on the bike tour with Julián . We opted for the afternoon tour and it was only my boyfriend and I, which meant we had all of Julián’s attention and could ask all the questions we wanted! Julián was very knowledgable and passionate about his city. He gave us a “locals insight” into what it’s like living in Argentina today and shared lots of history/stories.The tour took us to some beautiful parts of the city and we really enjoyed sharing Maté at the end. A great experience that I would highly recommend - easy cycling, you see the city and all with a small local business and a great host! Thanks Julián!
Great way to cover a lot of ground in Buenas Aires. The tour leader was great and it was a great introduction to the city.
What a brilliant tour. I'm a relatively inexperienced cyclist but Carlos made sure that I felt totally at ease within the small group who all kindly looked out for me. I enjoyed the whole experience but especially the empanadas at Caminito. Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing day out. I felt safe at all times on the bike despite not being a regular bike rider and we had plenty of stops in which we learnt about the history of Buenos Aires. I would recommend these guys as they are professional and you will have a great time
Carlos the guide was absolutely excellent - good knowledge of BA history, culture and the area. He also brought fun to our ride while not losing sight of safety
What a great tour! Carlos was a fantastic guide. His English was fantastic, and his cultural knowledge was impressive. We visited a range of different interesting places and had a great time.
This was an amazing tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun! It ended up being a private tour with just the 3 of us, so he fully catered it to us. What made this tour special was his personal family history and the city. We ate yummy empanadas and grilled cheese sandwiches, plus shared a mate. This 5 hour tour through the city is totally worth it!
We had a fantastic time. It was only 2 of us with our guide. He took us everywhere and was extremely knowledgeable. Definitely worth going on this tour. We learned about the different neighborhoods and had some great food. Perfect way to get to know Buenos Aires.
Excellent tour - the bikes were good quality, the route interesting, the roads flat and mostly on bike paths, and Carlos was an excellent guide and ambassador for his city. Carlos has excellent English, a strong command of history, and a great sense of humour. His personal insights and passion really added perspective to getting a feel for Buenos Aires. Great value too. Highly recommended.
Carlos was a fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. The bikes were in great condition and we had a really enjoyable half day exploring the south part of the city. Would recommend to anyone coming to BA!
Very good small group 5 people cover a lot of locations in and around the city. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city. very good operation. Well worth the time spent!
The guide was personable and knowledgeable. There was a lot of native food- no need for dinner. The ride was flat: if you can walk and keep your bike steady during the brief times when we had to go on a road, you will be fine.
Carlos was a great guide. Speaks English and is very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Buenos Aires. We tried Empanadas, Mate tea and enjoyed lunch as well! It’s a great introduction to Buenos Aires. We went back to some places that we had visited on the tour to further explore! Thanks again!
Our guide was the best…perfect blend of informative while very entertaining and fun. Good mix of biking, sightseeing, history and food. Fairly flat..maybe a few small hills out of the entire half day…so fairly leisurely pace. The meeting spot is actually inside a parking garage…so give yourself time to find it. Our party of 4 loved it and would highly recommend it!
very nice guy, everything was great really. you get the basics of the history of the city and the food that is included is really nice. and it's fun to get to try mate
Our guide Carlos gave us a very good inside in the life, food, politics and history of Buenos Aires and Argentina. We had a leisurely ride stopping regularly. Carlos also surprised us with a Mate (national drink, tea made and shared in a special way) and cookies break. We took in the atmosphere of la Boca and il Caminito where we had a snack on delicious Empanadas. Lunch by the river in Puerto Madero was a tasty lunch in a very relaxed way. My husband, friends who joined us and I highly recommend this bike tour outfit.
We had a great ride and many enlightening conversations with Carlos during the trip that will help us plan the next few days in BA. The tour delivered a great mix of history and information about how the city is always evolving. Highly recommend as a first thing to do on arrival in this amazing city. Great for riders with little experience - almost 100% bike lanes or park paths. Drivers gave our bikes lots of room.
Fantastic and fun tour with the best guide ever! We have taken quite a few tours during our month in South America and this one was the most enjoyable and informative. We highly recommend Biker Street tours.
A fantastic day with Carlos visiting highlights, exploring neighborhoods, and learning about Argentinian culture, history, day-to-day life, language, and customs. The read ahead information was very helpful to be prepared for the day. The bikes were mountain/hybrid style and in fine shape. We had no problems picking them for size and Carlos helped adjust them for height to ensure comfort and safety. The briefing was short, but to the point and we were comfortable heading out. The pace is gentle and Carlos did a great job leading and signaling well in advance for slowing, stopping, and turning. Stops were well selected in locations where the noise of the city was diminished and we could dismount and gather without feeling crowded by any traffic or pedestrians. We were in the Southern section of the city, which had bike lanes and quieter streets for the most part, and rather flat. Returning into the city to our start point was a bit busy with traffic and pedestrians. We did need to ride in the busy street for about a kilometer and may give very basic riders a bit of anxiety. In our experience, the Argentinian drivers are pretty respectful of bikers, more so than in the US. Carlos is extremely capable in English, and masterful with his descriptions, explanations, and stories. I would recommend this trip and him to anyone that feels like seeing Buenos Aires up close and personal.
We were late. Thank you Carlos for waiting. We read all the messages and left our hotel with plenty of time to spare we thought. Uber in this city is tough to crack. Withdrawing cash is another challenge. Maps took us on a wild goose chase. Our fault entirely. For 4 1/2 hours Carlos took us on a fantastic tour. History, dancing, culture & sport. A visit to Boca Juniors the home of the feeder club for Brighton & Hove Albion. Seagulls! The birthplace of argentine tango and its origin story. All of the beautiful national buildings. Even the new neighbourhoods with their own growing stories. We learnt how to ‘take’ Mate. He taught us the etiquette and what not to do. Fascinating. I highly recommend this tour. Tonight we are off to La Brigado for dinner. So many brilliant recommendations! Thank you Carlos.
We had a great bike tour with Carlos! It ended up just being my husband and me, and we had a great ride and learned so many interesting things with Carlos. I especially liked that he shared his Mate (Argentine tea custom) with us. I also appreciated him sharing what’s happening in his country now regarding current events. We had a nice local lunch after having an empanada first! It was just a great day overall. Carlos was awesome!
Carlos is awesome! He was very informative and passionate. We shared the mate experience which he made special. The local food was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommend!
This tour is a great introduction to Buenos Aires. First of all, the communication from Biker street is excellent, we knew exactly where to meet and how to get there. The company also shares via email many helpful tips for navigating the city. Biking is a good way to visit the sights here. Carlos taught us so much about the city and Argentina. We learned about the origins of the tango, how to make and share matte and all about football in Agentina. We tried delicious local food and toured several different neighborhoods. Thank you Carlos for a wonderful day and for recommending Cadore gelatto (not that we needed to eat anymore but it was amazing!).
Carlos is an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. He taught ius how to make and share matte and introduced us to local favorite foods. We explored several different neighborhoods, learned about the founding of the city, the emergence and importance of Argentinian football and the birth of the Tango. It was so easy to get around the city on bikes. I highly I recommend this fun tour when you visit Buenos Aires. It is a great introduction to the city. Thank you Carlos for a wonderful day!
