Lovely tour and a great way to see the city from a different perspective while also getting some history. We went to places I wouldn’t have normally been able to go to and the tour guide was lovely, knowledgeable, and always made sure I was safe going around teh city

Very relaxed and paced cycle around the city with friendly, English speaking guide Santiago. There were many breaks for historical and information updates on various buildings and attractions. Great stop in La Boca to familiarise yourself with the area to explore and have a coffee. Absolutely fabulous lunch stop too. There are a couple of hills but mostly flat and cycle lanes for ease of getting around. Sadly the weather then turned into heavy rain so we decided to cut the last part of our tour short but this didn’t detract from the great experience we had already had.
Great tour! We saw the major highlights of Buenos Aires. The guide was interesting and friendly. We had a small group which was great. For lunch, we would have prefered local food in a more lively environment.
The city is well equipped for biking with lots of marked paths. It can get very busy with traffic so it’s not for beginners or the faint of heart! Our guide Pilar was very friendly and informative. We did the full day and biked 32 km total.
Santiago was an excellent guide of the city. We were mostly in bike lanes and less populated areas. We visited many parks and heard some history. There were a few dicey intersections.
The bike tour was a great way to see the city. Our guide, Santiago was amazing. He was very personable and enjoyable. He was very informative and spoke good English. We had a great day.
This was a full day tour of Buenos Aires that started and ended in San Telmo. Our tour guide, Florencia, was knowledgeable, personable, and confident in leading us through city streets.
Fun informative ride. Santiago was a great guide and I learned a lot about Buenos Aires. Seeing the tourists on the tourist buses going to the same places we visited made me happy to be on a bike.
The service was excellent They were happy to move my booking to the next day as thunderstorms were expected. My ground was very helpful and knowledgable. The tour was a fully 7.5 hours including lunch and we used primarily cycle lanes to get round BA. The tour covered all the main barrios and sights
This tour showed us just about everything in the city. There was plenty of time to stop and take pics wherever we wanted, and the guide really knew her history! Really helped to contextualize everything we were seeing. If there was just one tour to take, this would be it. Btw, some other commenter complained about the bikes, but as someone who has taken bike tours in many cities around the world, I can say that they were comfortable and great for people of all abilities - single speed, nice basket for my water and day bag, and even a little bell. The route was nice, too - almost entirely protected bike lanes. Buenos Aires really has some nice bicycle infrastructure.
What an amazing experience! My partner and I have always enjoyed bike tours of cities we travel to, and this was no exception. We were the only ones to register for the trip, so it was a private tour! We saw so much of the city, had a great lunch! Our tour guide was friendly, very knowledgeable, and had a strong passion for discussing her culture and the history of the city and country
Vilson our guide for the day was brilliant, very knowledgeable and friendly. His English was excellent and he was very helpful in recommending places to see. The lunch stop was a great choice.
Very nice tour of Buenos Aires neighborhoods on bike. Sebastian, our leader was positive and informative. Pace was very easy and terrain is flat.
Great way to see some of the city at a nice easy pace. Nice lunch included. Great guide who was full of info and stats.
Martina was a great guide and skillfully navigated the streets of Buenos Aires. She shared her knowledge of the history of the city with us and was a pleasure to spend our day with. Her English was excellent and she was focused on our safety and enjoyment of the tour.
An excellent way to explore the city. Thoroughly enjoyable. Many thanks to the guide who makes it with the stories.
Our guide Santi was a lovely guy and great fun but some aspects of the tour were disappointing. The bikes were not in great condition and one only had one gear, we walked up to the entrance of Recoleta Cemetery but did not go in, the lunch venue was away from everything else and would have been better in a busier tourist area with more atmosphere, some of the ‘facts’ we were given were incorrect. But overall we enjoyed the tour thanks to Santi.
Great experience for a day with good weather. Only complaint is water was not provide and really should be provided! It’s not possible to bring enough water for an all-day hike trip! Our guide had 2 full bottles of water when we didn’t have any. This was a major inconvenience.
Great city , good fun , great guide made it an amazing day. I got an amazing feel for the city. The city was much nicer than I thought
We booked a full day with lunch. The morning and lunch were great, but in the afternoon, we seemed to cycle for miles, mostly uphill in the blazing sun on heavy bikes with no gears. By the time we got back to the shop we had lost the will to live and were exhausted. In hindsight, we should have done the morning tour only. Buenos Aires city centre is a challenge to cycle in, there are bike lanes, but downtown the drivers, especially the busses and taxis disregard them. You have to be very alert or you could get knocked off. We had a couple of near misses and I actually had a crash with a phone zombie who strode out in front of me when I had a green light. If you like dare devil cycling, this is for you.
Had a full day tour with Santi at Bike Buenos Aires. Started in San Telmo and La Boca. Wonderful lunch in Puerto Madeira then on to Centro, Pink Palace and then to Retiro, Recoleta and Palermo. Highly recommend this tour!
Loved the historical stories Martina told about the history of Buenos Aires and its sights Loved riding all the bike trails throughout the city! Always felt safe
We enjoyed our full-day tour, however, we have more suggestions for improvement than commendations. One big suggestion would have been to show us a map of the city before the tour so we would have a basic understanding of the geography. Second, the equipment is very tired and wasn’t checked before departure. The helmets were ill-fitting and the bikes needed a lot of tuning. One persons bike had non-functional back brakes! The lunch stop was a nice restaurant, but was way too ok g. The tour guides were on their phones for most of the lunch while we sat around waiting after having finished our meal. In fact, one guide, Santi, was on his phone the entire tour and would go missing from time to time. Lastly, this tour needs to be no more than 5 or ) people. Our group was 9 people and there was a lot of waiting around because the group would get separated by stop lights or slow bikers.
Great day biking throughout beautiful Buenos Aires. Santi our lead was excellent. Highly recommend this tour.
Nice flat ride. Great tour guide. Sandy took us to so many locations and sights. Told us all about each area we stopped. Definitely our best tour yet.
Perfect way to see the neighbourhoods in Buenos Aires in a short period while getting in some exercise. The tour is a full day tour and includes a meal stop.
As it was a Monday in the Autumn I wound up with a "private" tour with Sam since there were no other guests. Fantastic, including a very nice lunch in a modern nice restaurant in a business/residential area. I have been on over 25 bike tours worldwide and this was quite nice. For those that are getting on in age and not the best shape (like me) I will say the route is mostly flat and not that strenuous, but remember it is 7 hours before you choose to sign up. Glad I picked the full day.
Sam was our tour guide for the half day north tour. It was truly a highlight of our stay in BA. Sam was a terrific guide and extremely knowledgeable and cared about everyone’s needs. We really saw a lot, it’s a great orientation to the city and we had plenty of time to take in all the sights and take photos. I would highly recommend this tour and be sure to request Sam, he’s the best!
Excellent tour guide Sam and helpful friendly owner. Bikes in good repair. Very informative tour of Buenos Aires. Good meal. Only the two of us so paced at our comfort. Admittedly the streets were too busy for my wife but she rarely cycles and usually in the country.
Small group toured the entire city. Good lunch and made new friends. And tge tide was flat for the most part.
10 stars! Sam is hands down the best guide we had in our 3 weeks in Argentina!! We did 3 city tour of BA including this one. A daytime private tour, a nighttime small group tour and this bike tour. We saw more places and learned more things from Sam than any other tour. After other tours I would Google what I didn’t understand or confirm what just didn’t make any sense. SAM KNOWS HIS STUFF. Other tour guides exaggerate or add their personal views. Not Sam, no BS, his knowledge of BA and Argentine history is outstanding. RUN to this tour before he becomes a professor of history or gets a much better paying job. The nuts and bolts. Easy ride on flat surfaces trails or in designated bike lanes. One small incline, not a hill. Lots of stops to rest, drink or have a snack. We also stopped for a delicious lunch that accompanied all dietary requests. Great tour. I honestly would recommend this one to everyone including my mother!
Our guide May was phenomenal! She is a great storyteller, with a bubbly personality and very educated about the history of the region. The entire company has great customer service & are very hospitable. We had the most amazing time and got to see so many parts of the city. The bike ride isn’t for the faint of heart though! Be sure to stretch, pace yourself and come hydrated!
A great way to see the City . We had a great guide Sam who provided lots of information at strategic sights . We did 7 hours of cycling with a fantastic lunch in between. Saw all the aspects of BA . Totally recommend.
We do biking tots on every new town we visit and I have to say, this was one of the best. Aida, our guide, was awesome.. her knowledge of Buenos Aires, coupled with her navigational skills and careful guidance, made our trip one to remember. I highly recommend this tour to all first time visits to Buenos Aires. Not only do you get an overview of the city, but also a history lesson along with it. With Aida’s help, we have identified places to revisit. Thank you Aida for welcoming us to your city…
Sam our guide was excellent BUT the bike route was not very good at all! Plan better route!!!? Ugly neighborhoods early on! Tour prettier places for sure!
Great way to explore Buenos Aires. Most of the route had bike lanes which helped make us feel secure. Our guide, Fabio, was fabulous, funny and always keeping a watch out for the group, checking back frequently to make sure everyone was doing OK. The included lunch was excellent. The only reason this did not get a five star review was the bikes really were not the best.
BA is quite easy to get around on a bike and we covered more than 18 miles. The bikes were functional with a basket on the front for carrying bags. Our group was small, which was good, but we weren’t given a proper introduction and briefing before setting out which was a shame. The guide knew the route very well, but struggled a little to give a clear description in English. The lunch stop was OK, but we subsequently developed stomach upsets, the timing of which suggests a problem with the lunch food. We are still recovering. This tour was priced at a premium rate, but I don’t think it was good value. The guide was a nice young guy, and we warmed to him as the day went on, though we were feeling quite tired toward the end, and asked him to cut short slightly as we had an evening appointment. We’re experienced cyclists and this sort of terrain and distance would not normally cause us a problem with fatigue, so possibly this was the early symptom of the upset stomach.
Considering the horrible traffic in other Latin American cities I was a bit nervous about riding a bicycle but turns out the infrastructure in this city is great for such a tour. It was only two of us, so we had a private guided bike tour. We saw many nice places including all the relevant touristic highlights. The tour gave a very good initial feeling for the different neighborhoods and a lot of tips from a local, where to go and what to do. I can highly recommend it!
Great way to see Buenos Aires. The ride is pretty flat and easy to get around. The lunch was good . Great day
Our tour was great and informative. My guide, Matias N. is a local who knows the neighborhoods very well and told me stories about his life in Argentina and Buenos Aires and connected that with the history of the city. He knows his dates and Buenos Aires has much history. I never knew why a city moves a port, twice, but he explained. He honestly answered my questions in all aspects about the city that I asked and we went at a good and safe pace while on the bikes. His style of biking was perfect for bikers of any skill and remember that this is a fast paced city with many other cyclists (and cars and motorbikes) and the chosen routes were very safe and mostly able to be in designated bike lanes that are well marked. The lunch spot was upscale, comfortable and tasty. We discussed the importance of immersing oneself in the culture, which I try and do by taking subways & trains. He helped me figure out the transit pass (SUBE), after the tour. Thank you! Matias (This city's transit is much cleaner than NYC)
Buenos Aires is big, but the bike tour tackles this well. The tour was well thought out and covers a lot of ground, just like los Pumas beating the All Blacks. We felt safe all day. The traffic and bike paths were good, the city is flat and the bikes set up well. A really good lunch was provided. The guides were knowledgeable and willing to change the route to accommodate any requests. Lots of time for questions and photos. You don’t need to be super fit to do the whole day tour thanks for a great day
We had a very nice time touring the city. Glad we are quite experienced navigating city streets as this is not a beginners tour. Highlights: Boca Neighborhood & various parks!
We enjoyed a marvelous day on a bike tour with Sebastian. He was extremely knowledgeable, funny, patient and kind and showed us the best of Buenos Aires in 7 hours. He feared the tour toward the whole family and kept it lively snd interesting. Although it’s ringer time here, we enjoyed sunny skies and 50s-with a hoodie snd long pants we were fine. The ~30 km bike ride was leisurely and at our family’s pace (ages 13-49). When our son’s bicycle had an issue, Sebastian was prepared to fix it and gave him his bicycle to ride instead. I highly recommend this tour for families who want to see a lot of Buenos Aires and particularly recommend Sebastian. The bike shop owner was lovely as well and offered to help with other travel planning.
I booked my trip at approximately 11:00pm (23:00) the night before on a Monday. At that point, I did not know how many other people were in the group. When I showed up (a few minutes late) at 10:10, I realized I was the only one in the morning group with the guide Abigail. The tour company could’ve easily canceled my reservation because I was the only person, but instead they accommodated me, and provided me with a guide all to myself! Abigail was great. She shared lots of knowledge with me and was very patient with all of my many questions. We were able to pace ourselves and take the time we needed because it was just the two of us in the morning. I will say, that it was a pretty warm day, and I likely didn’t have enough sleep the night before, so even though I ride my bike often at home, it was a long day in the heat riding around—I was pretty tired by the time I got back to my hotel. However, like another reviewer said, BsAs is mostly flat, so there was very little uphill riding and the incline was not steep. Lunch was delicious, and they were able to accommodate the fact that I do not eat meat, which I specified in my reservations and Abigail was aware of. So I had a pasta dish which was very good. It was a great way to relax before the afternoon part of the ride. I had done the Hop on Hop off bus tour the day before, and this was a really good compliment because not only did it allow me to see the city again but I saw it from a completely different viewpoint and was able to immerse myself in it a lot more into the neighborhoods. I highly recommend this tour if you enjoy bike riding. It’s such a beautiful city and riding in the bike lanes and by the parks is just the perfect way to really appreciate everything.
The route taken , the knowledge of the guide, the exercise and ( fresh air ) not to mention an awesome lunch. Made for an excellent day in BA.
Max was personable and very knowledgeable. There is no better tour! I loved all of it! Thank you! I would recommend this tour to anyone except my 96 year old aunt.
I booked my tour very late the day before and unfortunately, didn't get the cancellation message in time so I showed up at the counter on the day of the tour. The guide had called in sick. I was disappointed of course and unsure what to do with my 1 day in BA. They apologized and gave me a bike free for the day. Wrote down a GREAT itinierary for me to follow. I plugged it all into Google Maps and off I went. Biking was easy and I had an amazing time after all. I did miss on the commentary, but really, I am really about seeing things, taking my time, stopping when I feel like it etc. I nevewr got through all the items on the list they gave me, but I left with a huge smile on my face and honestly, this can happen. They handled it well and I still managed to have a great day. These guys are top notch. Even helped me find a good pub to cap off my day. I can't give it 5 stars since I didn't get the full tour.
We had a fantastic day and found it a really good way to soak up the sites, history and feel of BA. Max was excellent and gave a great overview of the major history/sites and we really enjoyed with him and the other guy from the shop afterwards (they gave us some great tips about eating and tango places and also loved NZ:-). The only thing we would suggest to improve it would be to maybe stop for ice-cream or beer towards the end of the day. Would definitely recommend!
We had a great time with our guide, Max. He gave us a great tour, passing all of the most important places and gave us a lot of information. During the tour you will be eating at a food truck, so not a typical Argentinian restaurant. They are currently improving their bikes, so you will have to use old bikes. During the entire trip I had a flat back tyre, but our guide Max pumped it back full at every stop. The trip cost 75 euro’s per person, which is for hire of an old broken bycicle, a small snack at a local foodtruck and for an 6 hours tour.
We always do a bike tour is a new city as way to explore. This tour fulfilled this need plus more. Gonzales was an excellent guide with so much information to share and I came away from the day with a much better appreciation of Buenos Aires and its history and passions (Boca Jnr and River Plate). If you have a day to see the city, learn about it, gets some fresh air, have all your tourist questions answered and have fun, then I would recommend this tour with Gonzo.
