Caminito is the most famous pedestrian street in Buenos Aires. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city due to its colorful houses and its deep historical and cultural significance. Caminito is located in the popular La Boca neighborhood, on the coast of the Riachuelo River and just 400 meters from La Bombonera, the Boca Juniors stadium. It is a 150 meter long curved pedestrian walkway where important artistic works can be seen.
The Mafalda Monument is a sculpture dedicated to the most famous character of the cartoonist Quino: 'Mafalda' in which it could be seen materialized on a bench resting. The Mafalda Monument is located a few meters from where the artist lived, in the San Telmo neighborhood where a plaque that says 'Mafalda lived here' remembers him.
Recognized by various international media as one of the most emblematic soccer stadiums in the world, and declared of "sports, tourist and cultural interest in the city of Buenos Aires", it was inaugurated on May 25, 1940. Diego Armando Maradona defined this stadium like "The temple of the Mouth". Likewise, various sports glories such as Pelé, Zico, Andrés Iniesta and Thierry Henry, among others, have declared that at the Boca Juniors stadium there is a good experience. The stadium has a capacity for 40,000 seated spectators and 57,000 seated and standing spectators.
Inspired by Madrid's Gran Vía, Avenida de Mayo is one of the largest and most important arteries in Buenos Aires. Tour the city from Plaza de Mayo with the Casa Rosada on one end, to the National Congress building on the other. Officially opened in 1894, it is worth going through, as it is like taking a trip through the entire history of the city.
It is a large indoor market that is located in the San Telmo neighborhood. Although it preserves old shops selling vegetables and meat, today it is a tourist place and antique dealers abound. The old stalls "in the neighborhood" that have been preserved for several decades coexist with antique dealers, more recent and related as the tourist boom in San Telmo. The building also includes some premises that have their own entrance from the street, including greengrocers, liquor stores, a restaurant and two notable bars: "San Pedro Telmo", and "La Coruña" .1
The Puente de la Mujer, one of the emblems of the Puerto Madero neighborhood, is the first work in Latin America by the renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and represents another example of the City permanently seeking to position itself at the forefront of art and architecture in the entire region. It is a revolving pedestrian bridge with one of the largest turning mechanisms in the world, designed to allow the passage of sailing vessels that navigate the docks of Puerto Madero. The work, made in Spain and donated to the City by a private individual, represents the image of a couple dancing tango, where the white pole symbolizes the man and the curved silhouette of the bridge is the woman.
It is a palace located in front of the Plaza de Mayo that functions as the seat of the National Government. This imposing pink building occupies the site where the Fort of Buenos Aires was erected in 1580. It was the residence of Spanish viceroys and then housed, with some reforms, the authorities of the successive national governments. The current building is the product of the merger of two previous constructions: the presidential headquarters and the Palacio de Correos (on the corner of Hipólito Yrigoyen and Balcarce).
It is the main seat of the Catholic Church of Argentina. In addition to being located in a key area of the City of Buenos Aires, it has a long history of disappointments in its construction. The current building is the sixth construction that has been carried out in this place since the second foundation of the City of Buenos Aires. Its final structure is neoclassical and has a profile rarely used in cathedrals, giving it a closer resemblance to a Greek temple than to the classic Catholic building.
Within the Parque 3 de Febrero, in Palermo, is the Rosedal, with a collection of more than 18,000 roses and a lake that surrounds it. It occupies a space that belonged to the fifth of Juan Manuel de Rosas, until it was defeated on February 3, 1852 in the Battle of Caseros. The work began with the landscaper Carlos Thays, the same one who built the Botanical Garden, Avellaneda Park and Lezama Park, among others. Then his disciple Benito Carrasco finished it in 1914. Every July when the pruning season begins, residents and tourists approach gardeners to receive flowers or cuttings from which new species can reproduce. In this way, in winter the roses bloom healthy and strong to reach the maximum development point in October.
It is located in the exclusive Recoleta neighborhood, which owes its name to the fact that there was the convent of the Recoletos monks, to which the neighboring Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pilar also belonged (the cemetery was built in the old garden of the monks ). It is the most visited in the city, for its numerous and imposing mausoleums and vaults, belonging to many of the main protagonists of Argentine history, such as that of Eva Perón (Evita), one of the most popular tombs. Likewise, it is worth a visit for its architectural value, since it is a sample of the times when the country was an emerging economic power and the main families of the city competed to build splendid pantheons. Many of the vaults and mausoleums are the work of important architects and are adorned with marbles and sculptures; more than 90 vaults have been declared a National Historic Monument.
The Athenaeum Grand Splendid was chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as the second largest bookstore in the world. Built on the former Grand Splendid movie theater in the Recoleta neighborhood, it retains its former splendor and elegance, with the frescoed cupola, original railings, and intact decor. On the old stage - with the velvet curtain ajar - there is a bar that invites you to sit book in hand. You can also take advantage of the armchairs that are on both sides of the main room or be located in the exclusive boxes that work as small reading rooms. In the basement there is a sector dedicated to children's books, and the upper floor is dedicated to samples and exhibitions.
This imposing 20-meter-high sculpture that dominates the United Nations square was donated to the City of Buenos Aires by its author, the Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano. It is made of stainless steel and aluminum and weighs 18 tons. It is the first sculpture in movement controlled by a hydraulic system and photoelectric cells. The work was inaugurated on April 13, 2002. Its name, "Floralis Generica", is a tribute to all the flowers. It is about the projection of a dream of its creator, that of building a large-scale structure that reflects the dynamism of our time. - At each tourist point they will go down and have between 15 and 20 minutes to take photos. -the guide will be with you at all times and will help you in each photo -I will tell you all the history of Buenos Aires and how it developed over the years. -know the most beautiful bookstore in the world

Overall, we had a very good experience with Depasseios, and two people in particular made it especially memorable: Viviana and Alejandro. First, Viviana was fantastic. Her communication before and during our trip was exceptional. I sent her countless emails asking about different options, logistics, and details, and she responded to every question thoughtfully, efficiently, and incredibly quickly. We have booked plenty of tours where communication is excellent before booking but noticeably declines once the reservation is secured. That was absolutely not the case with Viviana. She was just as responsive, after booking as she was beforehand. Alejandro, who handled our airport transfers, was even more impressive. He was safe, punctual, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Buenos Aires. In fact, he should be a tour guide! His knowledge of the city and willingness to offer recommendations and suggestions, even after dropping us off at our hotel, really stood out. He clearly takes pride in what he does and genuinely wants visitors to have a wonderful experience. I honestly wish we could have had Alejandro as our guide for our private city tour. He delivered five-star service from beginning to end. Our private city tour was fine, but unfortunately, it wasn’t quite at the same level as the rest of our experience. Our guide made several comments throughout the day about how long a nine-hour tour was, and his enthusiasm seemed to diminish as the day went on. Toward the end, he seemed less than enthusiastic about visiting the Boca neighborhood and declined to take us down Avenida Corrientes, even though it would have only added a couple of blocks to our drive back to the hotel. We actually finished the tour after approximately 7.5 hours rather than the nine hours we had booked. One other thing worth mentioning is that, on the private tours we have taken in other cities, our guides have generally given us some time to enjoy lunch or dinner independently. In this instance, our guide chose to join us for dinner without asking and then made us pay for his meal, which was something we hadn’t encountered before. I mention these things only because the rest of our experience was so exceptional. The private tour itself was perfectly fine, but it wasn’t anything particularly memorable. That said, it certainly did not take away from how wonderful Viviana and Alejandro were. I would recommend Depasseios based on our experience with Viviana and Alejandro but look through other reviews for better guides on the private day tour.
Martin, our guide, was really nice, friendly, a great driver, and very knowledgeable. We don’t regret booking this tour for one second. He took us to some great places, shared wonderful stories, and gave us great recommendations. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend him to anyone visiting Buenos Aires!
Emiliano was amazing. The personal touches where above and beyond. We learned so much and had so much fun. I would suggest this tour to everyone that comes to Buenos Aires!
It was great to have a private tour (for 4) of Buenos Aries. Our guide was a great driver and spoke English well. He was very accomodating as far as letting us stay as long as we liked at the various stops such as the Cathedral, Grand Splendid bookstore, and La Boca. It was a great way to get around a large city in a short time to see some highlights. We explored further on our own.
My husband and I are traveling with my 84 year old father who has some mobility difficulties. We wanted a way to get a good overview of our Buenos Aires options and a some history. Analia was wonderful. So kind and patient! Her English was great! I enjoyed the history of the cities development and changes. Now I have a list of cool stuff I want to do more in depth tours. Highly recommend
Our guide Max was very helpful, informative, speaking good English. He answered all our questions, provided us with tips that we were using during our further trip in Argentina.
This was our first full day in Buenos Aires and Martin our guide was super experienced and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the city. He knows a lot of people in the city as he has been a tour guide here for many years. His English is fantastic and he is very enthusiastic about ensuring you have a memorable experience. The tour was great for bite sized views of many places and it gave us an insight of where we would like to go back to. Highly recommend doing this tour when you arrive in the city to orient yourself for future days exploring.
This was the perfect first day city tour when we arrived in Buenos Aires! It helped up to plan the rest of our trip. Max was awesome and very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the city. The time spent at each spot was perfect and Max did not rush us like some guides can do. He was very friendly and personable. The four hour trip was the perfect amount of time and experience was great! My only suggestion would be to adjust the order of the sites if the city is busy or has other events so you can make all the stops.
This city tour was perfect for our first day in Buenos Aires. We were able to hit the highlights of the city to plan our visit for the remainder of the week. The time at each spot was perfect and our guide, Max, tailored the time to our interest. Max was very knowledgeable and gave good information about the history of the city and current culture. He was very entertaining as well and personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour, the city, and our guide. We weren’t able to two spots due to city events. I would likely suggest choosing new spots, recommending adjusting time/day (depending on priority of travelers) or reworking the itinerary if possible so all sites can be visited. Perfect first day tour!
Our tour of Buenos Aires was nothing short of extraordinary, and that is entirely thanks to our guide, Alejandro. He led us through the city's most celebrated landmarks with remarkable command of its history, and his knowledge of the architecture was exceptional. He could place each building in its proper period and explain the styles and influences that shaped it, bringing the streets to life in a way no guidebook could. What truly set the experience apart was Alejandro himself. He is warm, gracious, and genuinely fun to be around, and as a gifted musician he added a touch of the city's soul to the day. We felt welcomed from the first moment, less like tourists and more like friends being shown around his home. We left with a far deeper appreciation of Buenos Aires, and we would return in a heartbeat to take another tour with Alejandro. Highly, highly recommended.
We did a walking tour of certain sites This was our second day in Buenos Aires. The tour was a wonderful overview of the city. Juan Cruz D’Amore was an excellent tour guide
We had an amazing tour. Our guide, Juan Harismendy, contacted us the day before to confirm and picked us up promptly on time. He was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Gave us time to explore on our own and picked us up exactly where we were to meet and on time. He gave us the best experience and we highly recommend him.
Veronica was an excellent guide - warm friendly and funny! The tour was a good mix of informative and fun - snack and comfort stop much appreciated! Willing to answer all questions and dropped me off at the Teatro for my next tour!!
We had a wonderful tour with Emi. He spent time in the morning asking what other parts of the city we had seen so he could focus on areas that we had not seen yet, which was great. He was very funny and his love for Buenos Aires was evident. He has led tours for over 20 years and loves to share his passion for the city and its history. We had a wonderful time!
Emiliano is very knowledgeable, a real great guy with extensive knowledge to do with all things B.A , politics football and history
Dario was a wonderful guide. He was very informative and gave in depth history and cultural explanations for the many areas in Buenos Aires. He also was a lot of fun and had great recommendations for food and souvenir stops as well as additional things to do in BA. I would highly recommend him!
Our tour guide Raul was outstanding!!! Very friendly, knowledgeable, understanding, makes the experience unique to fit your schedule as well as your preferences. Highly recommended!!!
Emilliano is an absolutely fantastic guide very knowledgeable on not only Buenos Aires but also all things football related - a total legend I would highly recommend
Max was terrific. Took us all over to sights that we probably would have missed on our own.
We really enjoyed our city tour . Our guide Martin was great. (So friendly and shared lots of interesting information with us throughout the tour). Unfortunately the weather was less than ideal (it was pouring rain) but Martin made sure we visited the city highlight spots and made us as comfortable as possible. Getting picked up at our hotel in Ricoleta was a huge benefit. I recommend this tour (and this company) for anyone looking for a nice overview of Buenos Aires
Martin is the man!!! He is very knowledgeable and an awesome guy to hang out with for the day. I learned a ton about Argentina and Buenos Aires, and saw a bunch of amazing places.
Max is a fantastic tour guide: young, charismatic, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to be with. We enjoyed every minute we were with him.

Emanuel was an amazing tour guide! So much passion & knowledge of this beautiful city of Buenos Aires. Truly a pleasure seeing the city with Emanuels knowledge of everything! Would highly recommend Emanuel. He even went out of his way to help us book a day trip to the capital of Uruguay. Amazing experience!! 5 out of 5!!!
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience with our tour guide Dario in Buenos Aires! In just half a day, he showed us some of the most beautiful and fascinating places in this incredible city. He made every stop special and helped us appreciate the history, culture, and charm of Buenos Aires. What made the experience truly exceptional was his genuine love and passion for his work and his country. His English was excellent, he was incredibly friendly, approachable, and funny, and he made the entire tour both informative and entertaining. He also shared wonderful suggestions for places to visit and things to do if we decide to return to Argentina, which made us even more excited about the possibility of coming back! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and warm personality made our time in Buenos Aires truly memorable. We highly recommend Dario to anyone visiting this beautiful city! He is a real credit to his profession and his country.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Buenos Aires Tour with Dario! My mom and I had such a wonderful experience exploring Buenos Aires with Dario! He was an outstanding tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, culture, famous landmarks, and everyday life in Argentina. We loved hearing his stories and learning not only about Buenos Aires but also how its history connects to the rest of the world. What really made our day special was Dario himself. He was so friendly, kind, patient, and genuinely interested in making sure we had the best experience possible. He took the time to listen to what we wanted to see and do, personalized our tour, and never made us feel rushed. What started as a morning tour turned into an unforgettable early afternoon because he was willing to spend extra time with us. We saw so much, learned so much, and truly enjoyed every minute! Dario went above and beyond, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a more memorable experience together. A top-notch, five-star experience from beginning to end! We were in Buenos Aires for 2 full days. We usually do walking tours, but splurged for this private tour because the city is just so massive. Although the tour is 4 hours, it is a quick overview. The only disappointment was there was not time to go into the Recoletta Cemetary. Although you can customize the things you want to see on the tour, the guide really likes to conduct it a specific way. Happy we did it, but so much more to see.
Absolutely brilliant introduction to Buenos Aires - Dario was knowledgeable and fun and showed us all the sights. Couldn’t recommend highly enough!
Gerardo was an excellent guide. He was very flexible about taking us where we wanted to go. He gave us an excellent sense of all Buenos Aires had to offer and made the city come alive
Leo was very informative throughout the tour. He showed us all the major sights. He had so much knowledge about the history and all the important facts. We would highly recommend Leo. The whole tour was a great experience of seeing Buenos Aires and learn so much of the history. It wasn’t rushed at all, he kept asking us questions on what we preferred to see rather than assume.
My mom and I had a wonderful experience on our private tour of Buenos Aires with Darío! He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire tour. Darío made us feel very comfortable, answered all our questions, and made sure we had a great experience exploring Buenos Aires. It was a fantastic way to see and learn about this beautiful city. We highly recommend this tour, and especially Darío, to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. Thank you again for such a memorable experience!
We had Alfredo as our guide, he was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend Alfredo and this trip. It is really very good. Thank you!
Amazing introduction to the city of Buenos Aires. Juan showed us the highlights of the city while describing life, history and politics of the country! we enjoyed ourselves
The was the first time for my wife and me in Buenos Aires and our guide Gerardo gave us a fantastic introduction to the city. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the city and country. He was also very friendly and entertaining. In addition to the tour he gave us several suggestions for the rest of our stay. During the tour, we were able to see many city highlights, including the magnificent cathedral where Pope Francis was a Cardinal, and had enough time to explore each. We did the 6 hour option that included the Japanese Garden which was terrific. I highly recommend this tour!
Alejandro was great! This was a fantastic tour at the end of my trip. Was really cool seeing the city by night in a different light. Also was nice to explore some of the places on foot with a guide. Ale was great at customizing and flexing on the fly based upon client’s wishes. Also what a great night to just ride around and take in the sights and local flare with the windows down in a beautiful ride. I loved it. Thanks for making it a great experience. He even offered suggestions for how to spend time the next day before heading home. Would definitely recommend this tour to a solo or small group!
Our tour guide Dario was awesome - very informative and courteous. A great driver who got us to each location well within our timeframe.
Great Tour with amazing value. Gerard was very knowledgeable and has a lot of passion for the city. The tour gives you opportunity to explore selected spots and gives you a valuable overview of the city and development. Furthermore, you can additional recommendations for the remainder of the trip. Very good tour with Leo. A nice and efficient way to get your bearings around Buenos Aires. He was also very helpful with other suggestions for our trip. Extremely responsive post tour as well with our questions
Very pleasant, was almost the same route as the hop on hop off bus
We had a wonderful experience exploring Buenos Aires with Leonardo. He was friendly, professional, and made the tour enjoyable for our whole group. We saw the city through his eyes and came away loving it even more. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Thank you, Leonardo, for such a memorable day.
Amazing travel guide extremely knowledgeable. Had a great time with my husband. Enjoyed each tour!!!
We booked a private city tour and had the pleasure of spending the day with Ana. From the moment we met, she set the tone for an incredible experience. She is warm, engaging, and possesses a deep, nuanced knowledge of Buenos Aires’ history, architecture, and culture. What made the day truly special was how effortlessly she personalized the experience. Instead of rushing through a generic checklist, Ana paced everything perfectly, took us beyond the typical tourist spots, and brought the stories of each neighborhood to life. Her local tips on where to eat and explore after the tour were also spot-on. If you want a seamless, insightful, and memorable introduction to Buenos Aires, request Ana. You will be in fantastic hands!
