The ride was comfortable and organized so that not too many passengers were on the bus. I enjoyed rhe stops and appreciated ear phones so that I could choose what language to receive the information.

Good value. Bus loop has many stops and many sites to see. Voice over guide sometimes did not sync with sites which was frustrating.
Good itinerary, bus in good condition but too few buses and ends early. Long wait at stop…and bus sometimes full when arriving
It’s a definite must do. Highly recommend
Avoid this company at all costs. The buses are very old. Once you get off, you wait forever before you can get back on. On top of that, the audio doesn't work properly, and you constantly have to switch buses because something isn't working or is broken. It's also extremely expensive.
It was ok - a convenient way to see key tourist sights in BA. The live tracker wasn't very accurate, and the English narration didn't work on one of the buses we got. Not sure how genuine some of the other receivs are, as I have no idea how they know the names of the driver and conductor - it is we all quite automated
We chose the 3 day option because we felt there was so much to see. On day one we road the whole 3 hour trip and only made notes of where we wanted to get off. We started in Recolletta stop 0 and ended there. Then walked to the cemetery. Day two we got off on three separate stops and day 3 we did the same, 3 different stops. We speak English and the ear buds worked perfectly whenever an announcement about a particular area was spoken. It was cold, but there is an enclosed heated area upstairs. Booked thru trip advisor to get a very large discount.
I enjoyed the yellow Buenos Aires Hop On-Hop Off bus. I did the entire loop without getting off the first day and part of the loop the second day. I think it is quite a good way to get an overview of the city and a good value. The start of my experience was quite frustrating. I took the Buquebus from Montevideo and walked to the nearby stop. There was a clear sign for yellow bus, red bus and river cruises. I waited there 15 minutes for the bus, monitoring the online app for locations of nearby buses. I saw a yellow bus park a ways off in the distance across a bridge. When it came towards where I was, I tried waving it down but it did not stop. Turns out that the first stop is simply an old incorrect sign. Given that it is near the first place many tourists will arrive for the first time on Buquebus, they should really remove or replace it or at least cover up the yellow bus portion to avoid confusion. Or if not, the busses could stop when they see people waiting there incorrectly. As it was I needed to wait another 20 minutes for another bus. Not a great start to the experience. I enjoyed the audio guide. It had nice snippets of good Argentinian music as well as useful commentary. However, it would often cut off what was being said. I am assuming this happens when the bus goes faster than expected and moves onto the next site quickly. Then there would be long periods stopped where it was just playing music. It would be nice if there was an online version of the audio guide where passengers could control more what was being played and go back and play the entire content if desired.
This is supposed to be a hop-on-hop-off service. In reality, on a weekend, that works until noon, or at most 2PM. After that, you can certainly hop off, but hopping on... Not so much. Why? Because every bus that pulls up to your stop will be full. Especially if you're in a party of 3 or more, you may have to let 4-5 buses go by before you can get on one. That's a wait of an hour and a half. If you want to spend your afternoon waiting at their bus stops, this is the tour for you. If not, look elsewhere. In our case, we ended up Ubering for the rest of the afternoon. For that, a USD 30-per-person ticket to just get you to your first one or two sightseeing stops of the day seems like a colossal waste of money.
Great way to see and learn about a large city. Also a air-conditioned area on the top deck. Very nice staff
The heat in the upper inside area was extremely hot
Luis at stop 14 store was very helpful. He gave us our headphones, lots of advice and the bus departed from directly outside the store with buses leaving every few minutes.
Overpriced. Wish I would have just done the one day tour instead of wasting money on the three day one. I only used it the first day. It takes so long for the completed route you really only have time to get off once , twice tops the entire loop took about 3 hours 15 mins.
The driver and tour guide do whatever they want at the end of the tour. They don't care about anyone's time or experience and try to go slow or go around in circles for a few times so they can buy themselves time before the end.
We are staying in Palermo Soho and purchased online. Uploaded the ticket to my apple wallet as instructed. We then proceeded to the 'pick up point' that said Plaza Italia. WE COULD NOT FIND THE BUS STOP. It was a yellow sign quite far away from the plaza. We saw the bus in the crowd but never found the stop. So we walked to plaza Serrano the other 'stop'. Once again, pick up point not at all specified in the website WHERE. So we walked around until we spotted a yellow bus. We then followed the bus. Eventually we found a lady sitting at a table with a yellow umbrella. We then found the sign where she mentioned that is what the bus stop looks like. Once at the stand the nice lady handed us a physical MAP showing where the actual stops were. Good an dandy, AFTER the fact as I can't find on the website specific pick up points. By the time we found her it was late. We told her we were headed to San Telmo market. She said 'go tomorrow and go early. If you go today BE ON THE BUS TO COME BACK FOR 5PM'. Definitely listen to this advice as we arrive back in Palermo past 7pm and we were on the last bus. This should be also very specific information for travellers. So other than trying to find the stops like a needle in a haystack, the actual ride was great. We were able to see most of the city. I would recommend doing a 2 or 3 day pass to be able to get off and see the cemetary, San Telmo, Palermo, and maybe Florida street. So many things to see.
The hop-on hop-off bus gave us opportunity to have a quick look at different neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires. We can then decide which places we would like to see more. The bus also made our visit to La Boca easy. There is a stop very near the famous Caminito Street and the Colón Fábrica. The audio information was very good. It will be better if there are more venues where we can redeem our vouchers for tickets.
We found the bus helpful on our first day BUT we would have been more informed on stops if we had set up the info online rather than paper map. Well worth it to get you familiar with the area.
It was a good way to see Buenos Aires and get a feel of the city! Also good to use a transit to get around for any visitor.
Terrible experience. Every bus stop we queued and 3/4 full buses would pass and no one could get on. There was no explanation that this would be the case. The company had sold too many tickets than they had seats on the buses. It wasn't cheap and the whole day we managed to use the bus once as it was just too busy. With children this is impossible and not a good option. The red bus would come past and be empty so may be a better option. It wouldn't have been so bad if they'd explained the situation. A day wasted waiting around for a bus. Unacceptable and terrible experience.
Sebastian was super helpful and knowledgeable! He gave us some great advice and being bilingual helped since we speak very little Spanish. Thank you Sebastion!! It’s a great way to see all the city highlights and learn about them no matter what language you speak❤️
Sebastian was extremely helpful helping us plan the best experience for the hop on hop off bus, his English was beautiful and very helpful.
Our family of 5 took the bus from the 0 stop. We rode to stop 9, which took longer than expected due to heavy traffic. We got off at stop 9 and walked the Caminito neighborhood. We then walked to stop 10. We waited for the bus for an hour and it never showed up.
This was truly the low point of our trip. After having a great walking tour and an even better food tour we decided to give this a shot. It was truly a miserable mistake. The audio system does not work, none of the drivers or ticket checkers speak a word of English. We were shuffled in and out of theee buses with little explanation as to why. At the last shuffle, stop 14, we were not allowed to board the next arriving bus, again no explanation as to why. Instead another bus arrived and the passengers on it were moved to the arriving bus and we had to wait for a third bus. Not sure what the rhyme or reason, no one could explain. The rest of the time was spent in dense unmoving traffic with broken audio system. Absolutely terrible. Please avoid and save your time and money for something (anything) more enjoyable. This was awful by all measures.
Awesome tour and very friendly tour guide in quantaloupe
Friendly staff and knowleable.
Nice tour to see the city nice and paced on your convenience
We had a great time with Camilla and our driver Gianni Juan. They gave us some really yummy food recommendations during the ride and were really fun. They knew a lot about the city so I’d definitely recommend them or this ride to anyone. Lots to see in Buenos Aires.
Excellent services from Luis. In recoleta store
These things are always good when visiting a place the first time, I got a day pass which is good for 24 hours as I started at 4:30pm Sunday and was still good on Monday. The recording gets repetitive after awhile with suggestions but that’s to be expected.
Lucas hizo un trabajo increíble. Fue educado y amigable. Respondió todas nuestras preguntas detalladamente y nos dio excelentes instrucciones. Lucas did an amazing job. he was polite and friendly. he answeres all our questions thoroughly and gave us excellent instructions
There was a lot of doubling back on the route making the journey longer than necessary. The commentary was informative and I can’t fault that. At many stops waiting passengers couldn’t get on leaving them standing in the hot sun. More buses are needed to fulfil demand.
Waited over 45 minutes at stop 21 this morning which was extremely poor considering promising 15 min intervals. Everything else was good.
We had the two-day pass. The second day, the driver did not take the same route as the first day (but made the same stops) which confused us. We didn't recognize our "hop off" sites. It's also a very long ride - it took us almost four hours to just ride the route (not hopping off). Also, the bus announcer did not announce the "stop numbers" which also confused us as there's so many stops.
The hop on hop off bus was a great way to get a taste of the hole down town area. The guided commentary was excellent . It was a great experience for a tourist like us.
A very convenient and comfortable way to see the city. The buses run frequently and cover all the main sights, making it easy to get around. We had the 3-day pass, which allowed us to explore Buenos Aires at a relaxed, unhurried pace. One thing we especially appreciated was that some stops are close to each other, so you can switch between different parts of the route without having to ride the full loop. That flexibility made the experience even better.
I've done a lot of hop on hop off buses in a lot of places and this was my least favorite. More music than information. First driver was good but second driver was horrible. Very slow and didn't seem comfortable driving the bus. We ended up getting off at San Telmo to show then grabbing a cheap Uber. Price is cheap enough but the experience was lacking.
They promised a waiting time of 10 to 20 minutes, which is usually not true (it was true in the mornings only). It can take 30 minutes or more, and sometimes you cannot get on at all, so you wait even longer. While I was waiting for the yellow bus, the red bus passed twice. Because it was so difficult to get on, I did not get off often, due to the waiting time, which added to my frustration. I do not recommend it. I bought a three-day ticket and regret it. Next time, I would try the red bus.
A great way to see the whole city, we bought a two-day ticket and we think it's necessary. The highlight was the Boca Juniors stadium and surrounding area where you can walk all the way down to the harbor. The tour takes 3.5 hours if you don't get off, which is why a two-day ticket is useful so you can return to the places you want to see more of. Some buses were full, but a new one comes every fifteen minutes.
While the yellow line comes a little more often than the red line and offers a web site to show where there busses are, they have a policy to leave seats open in buses which I can’t understand. You stand in line, a bus with a lot of empty seats comes. 4 people may board. Next bus less empty seats more people can board. Anyway there is hardly any communication, no one speaks English. We are waiting now for about 45min. This is a never do it again experience.
Hop on, hop off but the whole circuit can take nearly 4 hrs. Great way to get an intro to the city and the lay out. The negative: a little disorganized. The viator bar code along with QR codes other passengers bought via other means weren’t accepted on the bus and caused a mad rush at the ticket booth. On top of that, the audio didn’t work on either my or my wife’s seat. In addition, for some unknown reason the bus stops in the middle of the route and gives you the option of waiting 15 minutes or giving up your good seat and transferring to another bus. Finally, viator said nothing about the special hours on New Years Day but the yellow bus website did, simultaneously saying a 12:35 pm first bus and no buses on New Years Day.
Avoid avoid avoid. Spent 45 minutes waiting for tbe first bus. Then when we finally got on and stayed on for 7 stops we then had to wait for 3 buses to get back on. This being after a bus drove off as we were about to board and the bus driver waived saying sorry. Total disaster, terrible communication. Would not recommend.
Tripadvisor asks for reviews and then their AI decides to not post without any explanation. No more material for them. Why bother? Let them pay people to prepare content for them.
Best tour and best guide, Lupita! So welcoming, nice and made our tour in Buenos Aires soo much nicer! Highly recommended!
DONT GO. BOOK PRIVATE TOUR INSTEAD. Decent bus tour but no live guide, just canned audio that is often out of sync with sights. Some stops very long. Air conditioning stopped working.
Mostly rooftop but few seats below with good AC. Nice modern buses with helpful staff. Provide earphones for electronic guide.
I went to the info in recoleta and I found a friendly fella , Luis, he was very nice and very helpful giving me good advices to know and enjoy the city of Buenos Aires. I would recomend him to my friends and definitely come back to take the yellow bus.
I took this bus over the red hop on hop off because it supposedly had an app to show bus tracking. This did not work. Also I had confirmation on phone again this didnt work you had to keep your paper ticket. Timings of every 15 min not accurate one stop was more than 30 minutes. Overall taking the bus was easier than taxi but stressful to figure out when it b would arrive. One stop I asked the man working for bus company and he told me 15 min. I walked in to get a water and bus came in 7 min and was driving away. They wouldn't stop even though I was only 8 feet from bus stop. Buses also were crowded and map was in spanish not english. Bottomline you need patience.
Thank you for a wonderful, quality time, and for the attentive and friendly staff! I'd like to especially mention Marcus, who treated us with such warmth and heart, helped us in different countries, and even stayed in touch in his free time. We will definitely return to your beautiful city!
Total waste of money. We waited over an hour for the first bus, watched several go by with no intention of stopping. Every single ticket agent was rude. The drivers were extremely unsafe - we had to practically beg them to stop long enough so we could safely exit the bus. The stops are improperly labeled as well. Everyone we encountered in the bus had the same experience. They also randomly make you change buses as stops which was really inconvenient.
An absolutely shocking experience. We waited well over 20 minutes for each bus, only to be repeatedly told that the buses were full. The level of organisation was appalling. I strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this tour company. I have sent numerous emails explaining our experience, and they haven’t bothered to respond to a single one. Their customer service is completely non-existent. In the end, we paid £90 for four of us and only managed to get on the bus once. It was a complete waste of money and an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish.
