What a phenomenal day trip this turned out to be! This is the closest vineyard to Buenos Aires, and our expectations weren't too high, as we knew that the Mendoza region is their go to. But, from the booking process, to our private hotel pickup, to our tour there, this couldn't have been any more perfect! Our driver Guillermo was on time, super friendly, and very entertaining! Once we arrived there, the staff was so enthusiastic, friendly and welcoming. We had the immense pleasure to have Renata lead us around the vineyard. She was extremely informative and passionate about the place. We got to sample 3 different wines at 3 different spots on the vineyard. The whole experience was very interactive, as we learned a lot about their products. The tour gave us great insights on the place and their wines. We then were treated to an absolute feast, which apparently was only 4 courses, but felt like 20! Every dish prepared to perfection, flavorful, and paired with delicious wines. Our bartender Marcos also made us some delicious cocktails, as well as having us sample some homemade limoncello! Our server Lourdes was the cutest and nicest person ever! This was such an outstanding culinary experience, paired with a phenomenal tour. We purchased so many great products, and a special thanks to Natasha who was very helpful!

Transportation was on time and friendly. Vineyard tour was nice and the food was very good. Nice boutique vineyard.
Great experience from start to finish! our driver was friendly, punctual, and made the trip really enjoyable. The wine was excellent, and the food was even better, fresh, delicious, and well presented. The wineyard is a beautiful place, and the whole experience was relaxed and well organized. Definitely recommend it!
I was borderline average too poor to be honest. Once again Viator advertised this experience as a small group with a maximum of 12 people, there were 18 people in our group... when we asked the venue themselves, that said that usually there are 30 people...! Our Viator ticket clearly said ENGLISH, but our guide was very Spanish speaking, I'd estimate out of the wine tour part of 60 minutes, 50 minutes was Spanish with 10 minutes in English, to the point I was Google translating him.. the vineyard tour was uninspiring, it's a tiny and by my review a rundown facility, perhaps we had been spoilt already by our Casa De Uco vineyard tour, the lunch was average to be honest and as my wife complained to the venue about the above to issues, as we'd learned by previous experience on this trip that Viator as a platform does absolutely nothing, apart from saying that their decision (to not refund) is final.. we were then very much left to own devices, not having our drinks topped up unlike the rest of the group at other tables, having food slammed onto the table with no explanation of what it was and at one point I'd counted 11 plates between the three of us piled up not being cleared away. to be fair to the venue, they did after having my wife rant at them, provide two bottles of wine as compensation, but honestly it was pretty foul and was left partially consumed when we got back to the hotel. Luckily, we were last to be dropped off and first to be picked up in the Giggle bus, judging by the faces of others on the bus it looked like they had been on the bus for some time, never again for a shared tour I'd say, I think back to the inbetweeners scene from the movie when they get dropped off at their hotel, with a dead dog in the well...
Great experience overall! I would recommend this to other traveling trying to escape the city for the day.
Bodega GAMBOA is a vineyard about an hour from the centre of Buenos Aires. The day is an experience where you wander around a vineyard, sampling a variety of wines and learning about how the winery works. The tour ends with a 2-hour lunch with several courses and accompanying wines. It is a wonderful way to spend a day, whilst enjoying Argentinian wines and food.
Our host, Iara, was incredible. Even though I was the only person in the group who spoke English, she took the time to translate in English for me, ensuring I could fully enjoy every moment of the experience. Warm hospitality and personal attention** Iara’s thoughtful translations made the tour accessible and enjoyable. The staff throughout the visit were friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Lunch and food experience** The lunch was delicious and thoughtfully paired with the wines. Fresh ingredients and well-balanced flavors complemented the tasting. Wine quality and selection** The wines offered a great representation of the Bodega Gamboa portfolio. Knowledgeable explanations enhanced the tasting experience. Overall experience** A memorable, well-paced tour with excellent hosts and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the region, especially non-Spanish speakers. If you’re considering a wine tour with a personal touch and superb hospitality, Bodega Gamboa, guided by Iara, is a fantastic choice.
Two part review. (1) The vineyard is new and lovely. Wine sampling was good. The lunch delightful. However, not worth the cost. (2) Arrival and departure horrible. I was picked up by a driver and dropped off at the restaurant, sat there alone for 40 minutes with no explanation as to what was happening. Same thing happened at the end of the tour. (Not acceptable Viator- for safety reasons as female solo traveler.)
Interesting concept, rather than go to several wineries in an area this tour takes you to one where you are shown a few vines, have the story of the winery told to you and then enjoy a rather nice lunch accompanied by different wines. Food and wines were excellent but thinking back to value for money, the tour really needs to be c20% cheaper to reflect this. Staff were excellent though. We fortunately visited on a fine day but, if it had been raining, it would have been a totally different experience.
So much more than just wine tasting and lunch. We sampled at least 6 different wines, toured the vineyard, learned about the different types of grapes and had an amazing 12 course gourmet lunch. It was a bit expensive but well worth the money
Superb wine tasting experience, introduction and welcome with sparking wine, tasted estate wines, tour of vineyards and rounded off with lovely multi-course meal with Argentinian favourites for desert. The group really bonded with couples from different counties including Brazil, Columbia and UK. I would do it again - highly recommended as a taster.
Great way to spend the day! 8 course lunch with wine pairings. Our guide was very gracious to explain everything to us in English even though we were the only ones in the group who did not speak Spanish. Food, wine and service all excellent. The winery is not very old so I don’t think many of the wines had much aging yet.
This was the best meal I had on my trip to Buenos Aires! The wine paired with something like 13 courses of food was spectacular!
Nice experience! We had a rainy day, so we couldn’t do the full vineyard tour. Instead, we had a tasting in their cellar. The lunch with pairings was lovely and they kept the drinks flowing. Service was great! We had an abbreviated tour, which was lackluster, but the overall experience made up for it. Transport to/from Buenos Aires was comfortable and professional! Definitely recommend.
Great tour, not so much for kids. Tour guide was knowledgeable about the wines, the vineyard was well-kept, and the pours were generous (especially by U.S. standards). Absolutely fantastic lunch! So many courses, all creative and yummy. We ordered the brisket (after reading some reviews, and the reviews were spot on)--it was fall-apart tender and juicy. Four appetizer courses and four desserts, if my counting was accurate. The tour was a highlight of our days in Buenos Aires. So much value for what we got.
It’s takes about an hour and a half to get there to Bodega Gamboa. Be prepared to drink quite a lot and eat quite a lot. It was a great day out and worth every penny. Everyone is so friendly and helpful during the day.
What an amazing tour. Most of the wines were red but the first one we tasted was a sparkling white. It was actually my favorite. More generous pours than in California. Lunch was included and they brought out many dishes. In addition we were able to choose a main course of either chicken, brisket (boneless short ribs), or flank steak cooked to order. The flank steak was not like American flank steak. I didn’t enjoy it at all (fatty and overcooked) but I tasted my husband’s brisket. It was delicious. Nicholas was our guide and he was awesome! Someone said they came from Georgia and he said “oh peaches”. We are from Honolulu and he asked about Kilauea. He was very knowledgeable about almost every subject that came up and he entertained us with stories about his life. He genuinely seems to enjoy his job. Iverall a great experience.
Spent two hours getting there and two hours getting back to the hotel due to traffic and picking up other S at different hotels. Not worth your time. At the vineyard you get plenty of food, little mediocre wines and wait for your driver to pick you up.
You will get a lot of food and wine nice experience nice area the people are lovely glad we did it we had an awesome driver
Such a wonderful day out in this beautiful place just 1 hour from central Buenos Aires. Augustina our amazing guide told us all about the growing region characteristics, seamlessly talking between Spanish and English, and gave us a real sense of the commitment behind this artisan vineyard. The lunch was phenomenal. Michelin star standard. Don’t have breakfast beforehand! Thank you Gamboa ❤️
Very friendly with festival of food and wine event Please don’t miss if you are not visiting Mendoza
Renata and Guadalupe take great pride in their job. It was great and the food is never ending. Take an appetite.
We were greeted with a glass of wine before taking a tour through the vineyard. We were told about the history of the winery and growing methods while walking through the vines. We had 2 more samples of wine before a brief peek into the production building and return to the restaurant. The tour was in both English and Spanish. We were served tapas with more wine and then a choice of entrees. The food was very good. We started at 10:30 and were done by 2:00. By the time we left the restaurant was full.
Pleasant and informative guide with Caterina. Our driver Damian was superb. This was by far the best wine tasting and lunch we have ever had. Wonderful adventure!
Its an amazing experience. You get to tour the vineyards and the winery. Wine selection is amazing. Food is great.
This was one of the nicest wine tours we’ve been. The tour guide was informative and the wines were excellent. The tour included a beautiful lunch coupled with various selections of wines. I would recommend this tour to anyone in the Buenos Aires area.
The staff tried very hard. The tour was fine. The food and wine were acceptable. The timing was TERRIBLE. Lunch took over three hours, and we had massive gaps of time waiting for the next course. Do the Argentine Experience ot the Sherpa Food Tour. They were excellent.
The vineyard was great. The food was good. The three hours we sat at the table for lunch was too, too long.
Food was great, vistor guide was very informative. My only suggestion as I saw in others is that 80% is in Spanish when we booked an English tour. Felt we missed some.
The food is amazing..delicious and lots of wine.the staff is great and made sure that info was delivered in both Spanish and English
Very informative in regards to wine in general, our guide Agustina was amazing in the way she explained everything to us
We had a mixed experience. First, the good part. Our Viator guide was excellent and knowledgeable. The transportation was prompt with a good driver. The food experience was 5 stars! Six appetizers, a main course of meat with salad and vegetables and 4 desserts. The food was cooked on a wood burning oven. Now the not so good. The vineyard is still a work in process and the growing conditions for grapes are not ideal. The wines from Mendoza were fine. The wines from the local vineyard were not so good. If you’re a wine connoisseur you will be disappointed. Unfortunately also, the winery tour was conducted mostly in Spanish. Our Viator guide had to do most of the translation into English.
This is a most when you plan your visit to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Great service, the wine tasting was done in a slow pace, no hurry. The lunch was espectacular.
I had a wonderful experience on the Bodega Gamboa Small-Group Wine Tasting Tour with Lunch with Signature Tours. It’s the perfect getaway if you want to experience Argentine wine without traveling far—Bodega Gamboa, being the closest winery to Buenos Aires City, makes this tour especially convenient. The small-group format was a big plus. It felt relaxed and personal, and the Bodega staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and very well organized. Transportation was comfortable and on time, which made the whole experience stress-free. At the winery, we learned about the unique terroir and the challenges of producing wine so close to the city. The wine tasting was excellent, with a nice variety of wines and clear explanations that were easy to follow, even for those who aren’t wine experts. Lunch was a highlight—delicious, well-paired with the wines, and enjoyed in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by vineyards. It felt unhurried and thoughtfully planned, allowing ample time to savor the food, wine, and scenery. Overall, this tour offers great value, excellent service, and a memorable wine experience close to Buenos Aires. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city who wants to enjoy Argentine wine in a relaxed, high-quality setting. 🍷
Fantastic experience. The wine was great, the food was amazing and more than anticipated, and the service was great too. We learned a lot and had a great day. Highly recommended!
This tour was totally unexpected in the best ways. First, we had private transportation to the Gamboa Winery. Once at the location, you choose your table and the go on a short guided tour and walk through the winery with tasting of different types wines some of which were surprisingly good. Then we went back to the dining area and were served a multiple course gourmet lunch. It was exquisite!! Our driver, Rodrigo was super nice and made our drive to and from the winery smooth and enjoyable.
If you are searching for an easy escape from the pace of Buenos Aires, Bodega Gamboa offers exactly what you need. The drive out of the city feels like a gentle transition from urban life into the quiet of the countryside, and the moment you arrive, the atmosphere shifts. The vineyards stretch out in front of you, and there is a brief walk through the vines that helps set the tone, allowing you to take in the landscape before the real experience begins. This visit is not about rushing through a checklist. It is about slowing down. The afternoon unfolds at its own pace, starting with a seated tasting that brings out deep reds, bright whites, and thoughtful blends. Each glass seems to pair perfectly with time itself. The food is memorable and worth celebrating. Fresh, thoughtful dishes arrive one by one, and it is easy to linger over a plate without ever thinking about time. Bodega Gamboa is best suited for someone who wants a relaxing break and a taste of Argentine wine culture without committing to a long trek. It is an experience defined by calm conversation, great wine, and the simple pleasure of watching the afternoon light change across the vineyard. As an addition to a Buenos Aires itinerary, this is a must-do.
Wine was good, food was not great. A lot to pay to go to one wine farm and while the hosts were friendly they didn’t create any energy.
We visited this vineyard on a rainy day, which limited the experience somewhat. The tour through the grounds was shorter than expected due to the weather, so we did not get to explore the property in depth. Still, the visit felt well managed given the circumstances. The highlight was unquestionably the staff. Everyone we interacted with was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Their enthusiasm and professionalism made the visit enjoyable and helped compensate for the reduced tour time. The wine tasting itself was fine but unremarkable. The wines are quite young and overall average, especially for visitors familiar with established Argentine wine regions. The accompanying food tasting was good, though not flawless, and felt more complementary than memorable. This is not an experience that can be compared with Mendoza in terms of depth or quality. However, it works well as a first step into exploring Argentine wines, particularly for travelers who are curious and new to the country’s wine scene. It is best suited for casual visitors rather than seasoned wine enthusiasts.
We really enjoyed this lovely day and tour! We had a great ride in the van with others that we ended up having lunch with. The food was great and the vineyards were beautiful. The only snag was when we were trying to figure out what time we were being picked up in the morning, but other than that, it was a great experience and smooth sailing! Would highly recommend!
Interesting tour of small new winery an hour from Buenos Aires. You don’t have to go to Mendoza. Get to walk the vineyards and where they make the wine with whole process explained. All topped off with a large excellent lunch with more wine. A hidden gem.
Overall I think it's a great way to get out of the city if you do not have time to go to Mendoza or another wine region in Argentina. We had a very nice afternoon with plenty of wine and food. As many have referenced, the wine we drank was mostly made offsite as Gamboa is still quite young. We did taste their wines during the tour and they show promise. Admittedly, the tour took too long as we were expecting to be broken into groups by language but in fact the tour guide spoke first in Spanish and then shared an abbreviated explanation in English. The lunch takes a long time as there are many courses but we enjoyed our time with the other travelers in our group so we did not mind the leisurely Sunday afternoon. You should plan on this taking most of the day - we were gone for 8 hours. We were picked up at 10:30 and did not return to our hotel until 6:30. We are totally happy that we chose this activity and appreciated it for what it was.
What a wonderful experience. We got picked up at 8:30 am, picked up other travelers and got to the Vineyard at around 10:30 AM. We went through the vineyard itself and had a few wines and even beers sampled. Went through where they make and bottle it. Than went to the restaurant for a wonderful lunch. The appetizers were shared family style across the table. I lost track after 5 how many appetizers there were. We had a main where we had the choice of 3 options. Than we had 3 desserts. Service was fantastic. The tour guide was fantastic. We got back to our hotel at around 5:30 PM
This was a hike to get to, but worth it! The setting is beautiful and this was the only tour where we actually walked through the vineyard, which was great. We went for a tour and lunch - amazing time, great food, and very generous with the wine pours. I would definitely add this to your itinerary if you are looking for a wine tasting experience around Buenos Aires.
I booked this tour with my wife for a wine tasting. Unfortunately it is not a wine tasting but more a lunch at a wine farm. The lunch is very long, almost 3 hours and the staff disorganized, while the food is average. We were served only two wines during a long long lunch. Then we proceeded to the tour which was a very quick 15 minutes and tasted a beer and an amaretto, which is very unusual. It is quite far from the city especially with traffic. I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have time or if you are looking for a vineyard tour and wine tasting.
This place was amazing! The tour of the winery was well done and the lunch was so delicious! I would highly recommend this tour!
Fantastic tour, incredible lunch, easy pickup and transportation. Carolina was a fantastic guide. We had a group of 14 or so and it was easy and a blast.
Great value for money! The wine and beer is very good. The tour of the winery was very informative. The meal alone is worth the cost of the trip. Was a lovely day out of the city
The pick up and drive service was easy and very professional. The food is abundant and very delicious. The wine tour is done in the vineyard so it is unique
This was such a wonderful experience! Yarra (I hope I spelled her name correctly) was very knowledgeable and thorough with the tour. She was able to give the information in spanish and english. The wine and food was incredible! 10/10 recommend
