Buenos Aires Asado Experience With Wine Pairing

Great experience, it exceeded all our expectations. Excellent service, I highly recommend it 10/10.

We (group of eight friends from Iceland) thoroughly enjoyed this evening! Everything was perfect and well organized by the hosts. The housing was impressive, grand with cozy lighting making everything so lovely and welcoming. The cooking lesson was very pleasant and interesting, giving us a taste of good quality local cuisine and the wine pairing was truly excellent and informative. Very professional and casual at the same time. We loved it and we highly recommend an evening with these lovely hosts.

The company, food, wine and ambiance were amazing! We also got to learn all about the Asado tradition & share the night with locals! This was a trip highlight for us! Working with Santiago was so easy as well. He was efficient, professional and detail-oriented. Our trip would not have been complete without this very special evening! Thank you so much.

Our family of three which includes our six year old daughter has traveled throughout Argentina various times in recent years. The experience that Authentic Buenos Aires provided us was nothing short of extraordinary. We arrived in the charming residential neighborhood of Palermo where we entered a beautifully restored 100+ year old home. The intimate group of 10 gathered in the main salon with 180 degree views of Palermo. We were greeted with a beautiful glass of espumante from Salentein vineyards and a well curated picada board. After introductions we were escorted to the stunning rooftop terrace with a gorgeous authentic Argentine parrilla. From there, Santi and the asador guide guests through the various cuts of meat we’d be enjoying, sharing insight into each one, how it’s prepared, and why it matters in an Argentine asado. After the picada, we were invited to participate in hands-on beef empanada making, shaping and sealing the empanadas together before they’re baked on the parrilla. Naty, the sommelier, was outstanding! She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the beautiful Argentine wine pairings that complemented each stage of our meal. Santi, our host, truly brought the experience to life with his hospitality and storytelling that made us feel less like guests and more like family. A special and much deserved shoutout to the mollejas. As someone who always passes on them I am glad I listened and didn’t do so this time. Perfectly crispy on the outside and almost creamy on the inside, finished with the most balanced citrus flavor. I cannot stop thinking about them! The team really does an incredible job of going beyond just food. We learned how an asado is the cornerstone of Argentine culture and family life. We had a wonderful time at our asado experience with the authentic BA. Booking and pre-event communication were smooth and easy. Santi is a fabulous host and went out of his way to plan a fantastic evening for our family of 6, including making gluten-free accommodations for 2 family members with celiac disease. Leo was a master at the asado and prepared each of the many courses to perfection. Valentina was super friendly and knowledgeable about Argentinian wines and made sure that no one had an empty glass for long. The food was amazing, plentiful and diverse. Valentina expertly paired local wines with each course and provided in depth information about the wines, grapes, vineyards and winemakers. Santi explained the tradition of the asado to Argentine culture and informed us about each course and its preparation. We were even given a crash course in making empanadas and were able to enjoy the fruits of our labor after Leo expertly grilled the empanadas that we made. The location was convenient (Palermo) and in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1910. Our family was joined by a lovely couple from China with whom we enjoyed spending the evening. Retiring to the spacious rootop terrace to enjoy desert (and more wine) around a fire pit was a special way to round out the evening. I wholeheartedly recommend the Buenos Aires Asado Experience with Wine Pairing with the authentic BA. In short, a very special evening with enthusiastic and fun hosts that was high quality and a good value. We will tell all of our friends about our experience and are already looking forward to our next trip to Buenos Aires and our repeat Asado with the authentic BA.

Wow, the Asado was fantastic. The food was so delicious, and you, Nati and Leo (?) were absolutely delightful and so much fun. The venue (roof top) was amazing and the wines were fantastic. I wished we could have done it more than one night. It was, hands down, the best food we had in BA.

This was the highlight of our trip!! Santi, Nati (sommelier), Leo (grill master/chef), and Alan welcomed us with an experience that exceeded our expectations. We were 2 families with kids ranging in ages and dietary restrictions and they accommodated all of us with ease and everyone learned something about the local food and culture while enjoying the cozy feel of a historical home. They were so personable and friendly we had the best time and could have hung out with them all day. Wine selections were perfect. It was just the right amount of hands-on experience. We all loved making empanadas and chimicurri. If they have availability, do not miss this!

This was our absolute favorite part of Buenos Aires! So unique, personalized, authentic…. Delicious food, impeccable wine selections, fantastic, welcoming, and informative guides/hosts. Five stars all around from our families! If you do one thing in Buenos Aires, it should be this! Catering to 7 carnivores, 1 pescetarian, and 1 vegetarian with ease - Thank you Santi, Nati, Leo, and Allen for the memories.

The experience was incredible !! We spend a great time meeting new people and learning a lot about Argentinian culture The place is really beautiful, the food was delicious and the wine selection very well done, they really know what they are doing! Really great night! Already my second time I went there. I did the empanada evening and now the asado and both were super interesting. If you want to have great food (best entrana I had in 6 months in Argentina) in an awesome setting with nice people, you should visit Santiago and The Authentic BA. It feels like a nice evening with friends who know a lot about wine and meat, so you can try cuts you maybe wouldn’t order on your own in the restaurant and get a feeling of a true Argentinian asado. 100% recommendation for everyone who visits Buenos Aires!

This was an amazing asado experience that we highly recommend. It was held in a beautiful house with an outdoor parilla. The ambience was amazing. Santi and his group were very professional but yet fun and entertaining. The steak was better than some restaurants. We enjoyed meeting new people and spending a wonderful evening eating and drinking.

This is not to be missed. As a foodie and barbeque/grill junkie myself this is a fantastic experience of both learning about Argentinian methods of cooking and learning about wine pairings and Argentinian wine. Great food, great hosts, beautiful venue. I would highly recommend this.

This is as authentic as it gets! The setting is a fabulous private location, not a restaurant. The hosts are knowledgeable, personable, and fun. Simri went above and beyond to ensure I was able to arrive and enjoy the evening. I will do this again when I am back in Buenos Aires!

Our authentic asado experience was the perfect way to end our 2 week best friend trip throughout Argentina! Santi and his team made us feel so welcomed and shared so much about the Argentine culture. The food and wine were perfectly paired, prepped, and presented. The experience was delicious and so enriching. We met the best people and had incredible conversations. Santi, Bocha, Valentina, and Ezequiel at Authentic BA were absolutely incredible. I went with a friend of mine and we agreed that the asado experience was a must do in Buenos Aires. Every single person was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and clearly very passionate about what they were doing. The host home was absolutely beautiful, and we were truly welcomed with open arms. The entire team was very engaging, and the group we had was lovely too. I cannot recommend the asado experience with Authentic BA enough. You can’t miss this! I will 10000% be coming again when I am back in Buenos Aires!

What a night! A must do in BA! Came as a guest left as a friend! Santi, Valu and the team are sharing a true authentic experience of the Argentinian parilla! The experience is all about learning and taking part in a typical night of Argentinians! Sharing experiences, stories food and wine! As a big foodie I have to say that the food was over the top! Everything was just perfect! From the provolone cheese to the dessert through all of Argentina most famous meet cuts! I’m not a big wine fan but the wine was so good! We finished 10 bottles 😂 We ended up staying from 7pm until 1:30am and just chatting and having a great time! Since then we are still keeping in touch with the team as they are helping us plan the rest of our travels through Argentina!

Cannot recommend the Authentic BA more! We had the best evening with the team and others. Santi and the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic evening. It was like sitting down with a big group of friends! The evening involved meeting other guests, chatting to the team throughout, tasting delicious wines (I think we had about 10 bottles - a sign of a great night!) and learning and eating fantastic, authentic, fresh Argentinian food. We have been in Argentina 2 months now and this was our best night so far. The enthusiasm and generosity of the team is unbeatable - this is a truly special experience. Whether you go to this solo or with some friends - you will feel right at home with the Authentic BA family!

We experienced both the Somellier's Voyage and the Authentic Asado and were impressed with the quality of these experiences. Santiago has builded an incredible team and it is really a privilege to share these precious moments with them. Every time, you feel just like at home with friends ! This was a wonderful and intimate tour! I really enjoyed the staff and the food and wine were AMAZING. It was in a small group setting which made it feel very personalized. The staff is very knowledgeable and welcoming. It was my second day in Argentina and they recommended a lot of places to go, foods to try, etc. I would recommend this over a sit down restaurant because you learn a lot about the culture and what goes into an asado. Incredible Asado, incredible experience! The food was great, you're missing out if you don't eat this Asado while in Argentina. But it's more than just food, it's the knowledge you gain of Asado, the cultural insight into Argentinian food, the wines from all over the country and how to pair them with foods. The host Santi was super helpful, knowledgeable and genuinely wanted you to leave at the end of the night with a brain full of knowledge and a belly full of food. This asado was not just a meal, but a journey through Argentine culture, hospitality, and culinary heritage. We learned a lot, not only about meat, but also about wine - there was a diverse selection from every region of the country, presented by Valentina. Santi and Eze made us interact with the parrilla and felt that we were also part of the grilling process. Even the dessert was something I'd never tried before - that chocotorta was delicious! I participated of the asado while visiting relatives in Buenos Aires and it was a great opportunity to meet people my age and have a good time. The house is really nice and Santiago, the host, is super attentive to everyone's needs. The food was also very good and special kudos to the grillmaster and all the explanations about the meat cuts they told us. The cherry of the night was making our own empanadas and the dessert! It was an excellent experience.

Incredible experience. The guys make you feel like you're in a group of friends. Which is part of the barbecue culture. My experience with wines is little and without problems I was able to understand a little about the wines tested.
