The guide Fernanda was really great, she gives at lot of good explanation and we see a big part of the city. It was save. We recommend it!

Itinerary
One of the most modern and exclusive neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, Puerto Madero blends history and innovation along the shores of the Río de la Plata. As we ride our bikes along its wide docks, we’ll see old port warehouses that have been beautifully restored and now house elegant restaurants, offices, and luxury residences. It’s also a key spot to understand the city’s urban transformation. Here, we’ll take a break to enjoy the waterfront scenery, snap some photos by the famous Puente de la Mujer, and learn a few interesting facts about this iconic corner of Buenos Aires.
One of the most iconic squares in downtown Buenos Aires, it’s surrounded by historic architecture, century-old trees, and open views. From here, we can see the Torre Monumental—a British gift for Argentina’s centennial—and the Monument to the Fallen in the Malvinas, a space for remembrance and tribute. It’s a key spot to reflect on history, contrasts, and the lasting marks that different moments have left on Argentina’s identity.
We pass by one of the most impressive buildings in Buenos Aires, home to the Faculty of Law at the University of Buenos Aires. Its neoclassical architecture and massive columns make it a classic postcard of the city. It’s a symbol of the public and free education system, something highly valued in Argentine culture.
A modern icon of the city, the Floralis Genérica is a monumental sculpture in the shape of a metallic flower that opens and closes with the sunlight. Located in the heart of the city, this contemporary artwork represents the innovative spirit of Buenos Aires. Its size and movement make it a unique attraction.
We make a brief stop in front of this institute, dedicated to the memory of General San Martín. Here, objects and historical documents related to his life and legacy are preserved. It’s a key spot to understand his crucial role in Argentina’s independence, as we continue exploring the city.
We rode through Plaza Francia, one of the most traditional green spaces in the Recoleta neighborhood. Famous for its weekend artisan fair, it’s surrounded by classic architecture and culture. From our bikes, we could also see the Church of El Pilar, a colonial-style gem and one of the oldest churches in Buenos Aires. It’s a spot that reflects the cultural and religious spirit of the neighborhood.
We concluded the tour by cycling through one of the most exclusive areas of Buenos Aires: the embassy district. This neighborhood, known for its elegant architecture and tree-lined streets, is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. Its historic mansions and manicured gardens evoke the grandeur of great European cities, and its sophisticated style has earned Buenos Aires the nickname “the Paris of Latin America.”
Located in the heart of the Palermo Woods, the Rosedal is a sanctuary of natural beauty. With over 18,000 rosebushes, this garden stands out for its landscape design and impressive variety of flowers. It’s a peaceful place where you can enjoy views of the lake and the surrounding Palermo Woods, a green lung of the city that invites relaxation and tranquility. A perfect break in the middle of our bike ride.
We pass by the impressive National Library, a symbol of Argentine culture. With its modern and monumental architecture, it is one of the most important buildings in the country for preserving historical memory. From the bike, we can appreciate its size and its significance as a cultural hub of Buenos Aires.
We make a brief stop at Plaza Eva Perón, where the Monument to Eva Perón stands—a bronze sculpture honoring one of the most beloved and controversial figures in Argentine history. From here, we observe this emotional tribute to the "standard-bearer of the humble," while discussing her impact on the country’s politics and society.

A great way to see parts of Buenos Aires from a different perspective. Very good explanations of the history and culture at each stop. Bike riding itself was suitable for most fitness levels as it’s mostly flat, with lots of designated bike paths/lanes and clear guidance from the leader. A good way to gather ideas for parts of the ‘north’ to return to for extra time later, now that you have your bearings. Convenient start/finish location in San Telmo.
The tour with Debra was great. We enjoyed biking around the parks and exploring the area. Debra was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We had the great pleasure of bike touring with Chen today. Chen was a superb guide, out going, interesting, and very knowledgeable. We sometimes feel that guides give the same routine guide with little interaction with the guest. Chen engaged from first meeting and by the end of the tour we felt we had a new friend. Anybody who joins one of Chen’s tours will be in for a treat.
Fun and informative. Loraine was easy to understand in English. We covered a lot of ground but at an easy pace. I enjoyed it very much.
Our guide was awesome- Lorraine! Really nice, patient and very knowledgeable. It was a rainy day, she had panchos and water for us, nice easy bikes to ride and we hit some great spots, stopping for some discussion, water, pictures or just to relax if we wanted. Felt very safe with her, bike lanes are well demarcated. Highly recommend this way of exploring the city! Thumbs up
Chan is an excellent tour guide. Very informative and friendly. This is an excellent way to discover Buenas Aires. Highly recommended
Great way too explore the city. Very easy ride and our guide debora was very informative and friendly. Thank you very much!
Fernanda & Gaston were superb guides. Everyone who is able should try this tour. It is excellent and we were learnt so much about the city and its people
The bike tour was great and our tour guide was very knowledgable about the history of Buenos Aires and Argentina. We did many stops along the route were we learned about the area. Most of the tour was in a bike lane but we also used the streets next to cars and busses. It was a great experience and we enjoyed our ride.
Deborah’s bike tour was great! She is very knowledgeable and we learned so much! She took us to amazing parts of the city and we felt very safe in the bike lanes
The bike tour through the northern area of Buenos Aires was amazing! We cycled through the elegant streets of Recoleta, the green parks of Palermo, and beautiful waterfront paths that showed a quieter, more local side of the city. Our guide shared great stories about the neighborhoods, architecture, and culture, making every stop meaningful. The route was smooth, safe, and perfect for enjoying the city’s most scenic and upscale areas. A fantastic way to experience the northern side of Buenos Aires!
I've have a very nice experience getting to know the city. I had lot of fun and the guide knew a lot about Buenos Aires history. I think it's an excellent option to do it solo or with fam/friends.
Excellent guide (Chan) - knowledgeable and patient. Told us a lot about the history of Argentina. Would highly recommend!
Experience was worth the price I paid for this tour. Had the choice to used an e-bike that was well maintained and made cycling with ease. On a bike, it felt more authentic to hear, to smell, to feel the vibe of the city, weaving through the streets and cycle path ways in the city. Fernanda our guide explained the historical significance of the sights and ensured our safety well. This tour is definitely best for individuals who can ride a bike.
Wonderful experience with Augustine! Fell in love with Buenos Aires and felt very safe for the whole ride. Augustine shared so much history about the city and we saw some amazing architecture and lots of dogs!
I loved this experience so much that I did two bicycle tours with this company while in Buenos Aires! My husband & I did the South BA tour over the weekend; we loved riding through significant areas while getting a fantastic cultural experience, namely La Boca on game day. I did the North BA tour solo & it was unique and special in its own right. We covered so much ground. Augustín was a very knowledgeable and passionate guide and was able to answer all of my questions. He was very engaging and kind and I felt safe on the bike throughout BA’s busy streets. The architecture, monuments and parks covered in this tour throughout Recoleta, Retiro & Palermo were so stunning and it was very helpful to learn the European influence behind the city. 10/10 would recommend experiencing BA by bike and with this company!
It was a great Cycling Tour. We basically had a private tour with Augustin, who showed us the various places of Buenos Aires and the history involved as well. Since we were such a small group, he also gave us some special sights away from the usual tour, which really gave us an immersive and great view of the city. This was an absolute great experience and would really recommend!
Lorraine was a very knowledgeable guide. We went on the “North” tour thru Puerto Madero, part of Palermo and other areas. BA is a great city to bike in because it is flat. Lorraine knows her way around everywhere and had a sincere interest in sharing her knowledge while also engaging the group. The only part that I didn’t like was that our return felt rushed due to 2 people in the group who wanted to get back earlier than the rest.
Fernanda was a wonderful guide who was knowledgeable and kept a great pace. We really enjoyed ourselves and felt like. We saw a lot of the key parts of the city.
Nestor our guide was Awesome! We were the only riders so he tailored the ride to tour us in areas we hadn’t visited. We learned so much about the history of the city & Argentina and explored areas we never would have gotten to on our own.
Lorraine was a great guide. She provided a very informative tour of public art, urban parks, and architecture in the northern areas of the city. We really appreciated her insights on the city's history and the status of sustainable transportation and cycling infrastructure along the way. The tour was well-paced and Lorraine was friendly and fun. We were very happy to take the tour and would recommend it.
Saw many neighborhoods and points of interest. Great way to see the city. The bikes were well maintained and the route was very bike-friendly
Perfection exists : a bike tour with Barbi !! The way she shows you Buenos Aires, radiating positivity, is unique… It doesn’t get any better !!!
Very informative and enjoyable - a very safe way to get to know the City. Our guide was very informative
Very informative and beautiful tour! Nestor was a great guide for the city. Would highly recommend!
Five or so years ago I took a bike tour like this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommended doing this to my friends and promised there would be minimal riding on streets, 95% bike lanes. Turns out there is construction everywhere and we spent 60% of our time on streets riding with fast moving traffic. It was a frightening experience, especially in an unknown city. Our leader, Julia Anna, would take off fast from each stop, and fail to look back. Several times I got caught at a red light and could not cross with others. Since she never checked, I was left behind to catch up. With only 5 riders on the tour, she managed to lose 3 of us, going through an area so crowded it was difficult to maneuver the bikes. We simply waited for her to come back for us as we didn't know where to go! While fun to see the city, I found myself getting upset at her lack of concern. Finally, our last stop, Recoleta Cemetery, we were given 15 minutes and told Eva Peron's grave site was somewhere in the rear left. We were never able to find it! I had seen it on my prior visit, but felt bad for my friends who never had. I read about another tour that had a 30 minute break there and guide took them to the site. Clearly should have taken that tour. The final straw was our ride back to the bike shop, all in rush hour traffic, in the lanes with cars, moving fast and honking at us! By the time we got there, I was thoroughly disgusted. I know they can't do anything about construction except find the best alternate route. However, it seems this company chose the worst alternate route. Unfortunately, since Trip Advisor bought Viator, it seems that if you are not careful, they assign a company and it is not clear what you've got. I would never go with this company again. I believe last time was with BA Bikes and a wonderful tour, but I would check with all on route time not in bike lanes due to construction.
First, I cannot say enough nice things about Cush, who was my guide this afternoon. He was friendly and knowledgeable and interesting. I was the only person in the south group today, so ended up with a private tour (lucky me)! Buenos Aires is mostly flat, which made peddling around east and fun. Plus, you can cover so much more ground on bikes than on foot. Be warned, while this ride isn't physically strenuous, there are multiple parts where you must navigate through traffic, so it's not for the timid! Cush, however, was great about giving proactive directions and looking to see if I was still with him. The only thing keeping this tour from five stars is that the bikes are not in great condition. Mine was mainly fine, just a squeaky back wheel and a seat that slowly slid down during the ride (thanks for helping me readjust!). However multiply that by however many people are typically in a tour and it's and issue.
Really enjoyed bike tours with this company in Buenos Aires. Nestor took us to La Boca and Puerto Madero yesterday. This was an afternoon tour and great fun. Today we went to Tigre delta. We ride bikes, took a train twice and had a boat trip around the delta which was absolutely fascinating. People live on the island so move around by boat and 'service' boats visit regularly with food and other goods. Some of the homes and jetties are most attractive and boats are lifted out of the water by a hoist and the boars sits in a raised cradle until further use. I presume it floods on occasions. It is a full day excursion and both come highly recommended.
I originally signed up for the south tour, but due to the weather and some people in the group who wanted to do stuff in the north, we did a hybrid tour Including san telmo, la boca, puerto madero, recoleta, and retiro. The guide, Nestor, was awesome. He explained things well in both english and spanish, and was happy to answer questions throughout. The tour lasted longer than I think it was supposed to, but I'm certainly not complaining about that. My only complain is some of the bikes need a little work, but without much intense terrain in Buenos Aires, they were sufficient.
Buenos Aires is flat, with lots to see and perfect for sightseeing on a bike. Sadly, I can't recommend this bicycle rental shop. I would suggest people keep well away from it. I visited the store with three of my nephews with plans to rent bikes for half a day. We are Argentine nationals and know the city well so had no need for a guided tour. The bikes were in pretty bad shape but I was hopeful we would be able to manage without too much trouble. About forty-five minutes into our ride through the Reserva Ecologica, one of the bike's chains began to slip off requiring us to turn it upside down, get it unstuck...etc. It took us about an hour and a half to ride back to the store during which time the chain came off another nine or 10 times. While the woman who had rented the bicycles agreed to replace the broken bike, she kept telling us this was a routine occurrence and refused to accept the store bore any responsibility for the poor maintenance of the bike. She resisted any suggestion that we should be compensated with an additional hour for the time we had lost. At one point she became very agitated and refused to rent any bicycles to us whatsoever. It was a very disagreeable experience and I recommend everyone keep well away from the place.
Two of us booked on the southern tour of BA. The bikes are basic, with no gears but comfortable and as there are pretty much no hills in buenos aires, these are not required. There were only two of us in the group and cathy was a great guide. She rode at a very manageable pace and was clear with directions, signalling for traffic to stop when necessary. Cathy spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. I must admit, I don't think buenos aires is the best set up for bike tours, but cycle lanes have only recently been created and some of the traffic shows little respect for cyclists. Overall however it was enjoyable and a great way to see parts of the city we wouldn't otherwise have seen. We felt safe and it was nice to cycle round the ecological reserve and particularly into la boca and he stadium. There is plenty of time to take photos also and have a wander around. You are provided with a helmet and free water by the company. We thoroughly enjoyed it and it was probably one of or favourite excursions. Not for everyone, but we would certainly recommend it.
We have had some excellent bike tours, both in terms of equipment and the cycling/sightseeing experience, in Siem Reap, Cambodia, Thailand fishing villages and Amsterdam. In comparison, our experience here was dismal. Here's why. Located on a quiet street, La Bicicleta Naranja looked run down and a cursory examination of their equipment was confirmatory. The elderly man running the store was about as run down as his bicycles and similarly interested in our needs. We sorted through the dilapidated inventory until we found bikes that fit as best as possible which, in my case, was not. In addition, on this urban biking experience. THERE WERE NO HELMETS! Our private guide who had given us a van tour and who was an avid cyclist stayed on as our guide: she was wonderful, so this is not about her. Of my family of four, three of us are extremely fit and regular cyclists while the fourth is merely fit. In addition to my poor fitting bike and the discomfort it brought, there is the fact that I do not think Buenos Aires is meant for touring by bike: it is too big and the urban attractions do not lend themselves for a visual bike-by. We would have been better off staying on our van, covering ground more quickly, thereby leaving more time for sights worth seeing, such as the Recoleta Cemetery. On the other hand, the we traveled surprisingly bike-friendly streets and, at all times, felt safe. We were relieved when the tour came to an end. If you are really committed to the idea of a bike tour of Buenos Aires, find another rental shop and make sure you have a clear agenda of what you want and that your guide can deliver. Good luck.
If you want to use the services provided by this operator, just make sure you just hire a bike, don´t get a tour! Our guide sucked on so many levels that it was simply too hard to detect whether her incompetence came from a lack of knowledge or poor English language skills. Too bad she majors in tourism.. I think that people with very little knowledge about matters like history or politics and a strong desire to express their ill-informed opinions about these same matters should not become tour guides, because guiding a tour is not abuot talking about yourself. Also: If you´ ve manage to become a tour guide without giving a thing about “200 years of boring Argentinian history”, don´t assume your clients are idiots. If, whenever you stumble across something you don´t know, you tell people that you´ll talk about it “later”, they´ll know pretty soon that that won´t ever happen. Also, it might be common to randomly chose the right or the left side of the road in buenos aires city traffic for your guided bike tour, but risky lane changes when turning are never a good idea, nowhere in the world, especially when you ask other people to follow you. Had the guide invested less time in talking about herself and her friends, there would have been a lot more time for the actual sites. To sum it up, a total waste of time and a considerable amount of money. You get a lot more information from reading the information plates in front of the sites, and they´re way less annoying. Plus, you can get a FREE bike for an hour a few blocks further down towards the harbor if you bring a passport copy, so go explore the area by yourself
Before we took the city bicycle tour, I stopped by and talked with the agent about what to expect. I was told that the tours were small and that we traveled at our own pace. I told them I am not much of a bike rider; and they assured me the guide would travel at my pace. HA HA HA. Little did I know, but my guide was a Lance Armstrong wannabe, and almost from the start he ditched me. I was struggling to keep up, only to have him and the two twenty-somethings also on the tour take off once I caught up. This made me MORE tired, which made me go even SLOWER. Plus, I heard NOTHING of the "tour." The guide actually did lose me once, and seemed p.o.'ed that I stopped and waited for him to return. (I do not speak Spanish and I did not know the city, so I was scared to guess which way they went and get lost.) Plus, Buenos Aires traffic is a bit nutty by American standards and I was mostly terrified the entire time. Maybe it had something to do with me almost getting hit by a bus. Twice. Anyway, unless you are a hard core bicyclist, AVOID this scam of a tour. But, if you're a hard core cyclist, you probably aren't interested in a tour anyway.
Very friendly company that runs several different guided bicycle tours of Buenos Aires. English speaking tour guides who really care about what they do and are proud and very knowledgeable about their wonderful city. Also a great way to meet fellow travellers. The company also rents bikes to the more intrepid among us who are confident they can negotiate their own way around the city. They have outlets in Palermo and San Telmo. Highly recommended!
The people in this company is very helpfull and i enjoyed a lot the bike tour! It's a great way to know Buenos Aires!
Vary friendly and welcoming. I found the bike rental place by accident waking around and went in. The woman I spoke to was fluent in Spanish, English and German and helped me to choose a tour to La Boca. The tour was fun and the guide was knowledgeable about the area and let me stop to take photos when I wanted to and I got a great review of Buenos Aires. The next day I went back to rent a bike on my own and reccomend it as a way to see Buenos Aires in a different light. the traffic is not for the timid though. While there are designated bike lanes on some streets.. there are not prolific through the city. All in all a good value. Both the tour and the solo rental.
Nice bike ride, safe and pleasant. Guide Chan was very good, even when we got a flat tire. The trip was adapted to our wishes. A recommendation!
This bike tour is the best way to explore the sights of Buenos Aires. Some places I had visited in a different way before, but this was much more fun and informative.
I did the north tour with e-bike. The group was small and our guide very attentive. I recommend it if you want to know the most important points of the city and have a panorama of the city
Highly recommended! Barbara was great, she knew a lot about the city answered all the questions patiently and looked well at us! Nobody was lost;) We would do it again! In the end, you know the most important thing about the city and the country of Argentina. Time flew by like a bird!
100% recommend this bike tour. We took it as a family, a private tour of nine people. It was an excellent idea as we covered many places in 3.5 hours. The bikes in very good condition and the best of all the guides were spectacular. A super enjoyable way to get to know and learn about Buenos Aires. 100% recommended!
It was a great experience. The host was kind and prepared! Accurate stops and clear explanations. Very nice places
Amazing river pass and bike through the city of Buenos Aires, we could contemplate the city from different perspectives accompanied by a very professional team. Super recommend!!!!!
I did the tour with The Orange Bicycle and it was an amazing experience. Pedalling around Buenos Aires with your guides was a totally different way to get to know the city. Everything very well organized, the bikes in excellent condition and the energy of the team is the best. Super recommended for tourists and also for those who live here!
Augustine excellent guide and company, the bikes in excellent condition, we liked very much, a recommended activity totally
Great experience, cycling is a great way to discover the city. A warm guide who has been a mine of information about the city, its history, its great characters. Very attentive to safety. We let ourselves be carried away and admire the view!
to see the whole north of BA in half a day, this bike tour is really great... besides the guide's explanations teach us the history, architecture and art of the city. really nice. it's very easy considering everything is flat... avoid even doing it in 36°. below 30, it's top.
We were very well served, via WhatsApp, to schedule the tour with the guide. It was a great way to get to know the city and with lots of information provided by our guide. The bike is simple, no marches, but working well. As the stretch is all flat, there was no problem. The journey is long, with a few stops at the main sights, three and a half hours of duration, we took great advantage.
