We did 3 tours with this company. This one to Tigre was the highlight. Raymond is a fantastic guide. He made sure to keep us safe and he provided us with informative and entertaining anecdotes. We would highly recommend Raymond as a guide.

Itinerary
We´ll meet at one of BA´s oldest buildings - Casa de Castagnino on Balcarce 1016, San Telmo. After a short tour of the house, we´ll get down to business and decide.... are we going to pedal all the way out to Tigre, or take the train for some of the way?
After crossing the city center, we´ll reach Retiro - the city´s main transportation hub. We´ll take the train to San Isidro, unless you´re feeling keen to pedal all the way out there! (aprox 15km)
We´ll discover the old aristocratic neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, and visit the San Isidro Cathedral, were we usually have a Mate stop
Once at Tigre, we´ll hop on our kayaks and row through narrow canals were the hussle of the city disappears. Our destination is a restaurant on an island where we´ll enjoy a local ASADO!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our guide, Jackson, was an incredibly caring and genuinely engaged host. In addition to being a great bike and kayak guide, Jackson tailored our entire experience to our interests and language (American English) preferences, shared valuable insights about local customs and culture, and answered our many, many questions very thoughtfully. We had an amazing day. If you are looking for a delightful, active day trip focused on seeing the outskirts of Buenos Aires and experiencing the Tigre delta region, you must book this tour — and be sure to ask for Jackson as your guide, you won’t regret it!
We spent 9–5 with Raymond and can say without hesitation: this wasn’t a tour — it was a proper day out with someone who genuinely loves what he does. The ride from Buenos Aires to Tigre could have been just a transfer. Instead, Raymond turned the 32 km stretch into a rolling masterclass in neighbourhoods we would never have discovered on our own — elegant residential pockets, striking architecture, quiet, wealthy enclaves tucked between the city and the delta. The kind of places that don’t show up in the “Top 10” lists but absolutely should. Raymond himself? Endearing, sharp, and very funny. By mid-morning we had our own running jokes (“that’s what she said” may have made multiple appearances), and he gamely leaned into Kiwi slang — tossing around “dodgy” and “cheeky” like a pro. The banter made the whole day feel effortless. Tigre was the perfect contrast to the city. We kayaked through the delta for about an hour, which felt peaceful and almost surreal — quiet water, leafy channels, and the rhythm of boat taxis moving through the area. We met a lovely local family who run those boats (and yes, we absolutely made friends with their adorable dog). It felt authentic and unpolished in the best possible way. Lunch was an asado experience that delivered everything you hope Argentina will deliver — relaxed, abundant, delicious. No rushing, no conveyor belt vibe. Just great food and time to enjoy it - we got lost in conversation. Raymond’s layers are what make him special. A former hairdresser of 25 years who moved to Buenos Aires to pursue acting — and has two films with Harvey Keitel under his belt — he brings storytelling, timing, and personality to the day. He’s proud of his path, and he should be. It shows in how he connects with people. He also sent us to an excellent gelato spot at the end — the kind of recommendation that only comes from someone who truly knows the area. We covered a lot of ground, but it never felt rushed. It felt curated. Personal. Thoughtful. If you’re looking for someone who goes beyond surface-level sightseeing and gives you a day full of insight, humour, and genuine connection — Raymond is your guy. Cheeky, charming, and absolutely not dodgy. Highly recommend.
Our cycling adventure started early as we’re leaving BA later today. Raymond was very generous and accommodating our request to leave early to ensure we won’t miss our flight back home. Raymond is very knowledgeable and has a lot of quirky stories which bring this wonderful city alive to visitors. Choosing cycling to explore this amazing city is just perfect! Would highly recommended Biking Buenos Aires and in particular Raymond. Raymond made sure our bikes were in order and we’ve had ample time to cycle all the way to Tigre where we had a very chilled time enjoying in a scrumptious Asado. We’ve had a perfect day to our end of this amazing holiday- thank you Raymond- hopefully see ya down under ☺️🫶🥝
Spent the day with Jackson - our awesome tour guide - and rode from Buenos Aires to Tigre (about 42 km). Fantastic way to see some of BA that you wouldn’t otherwise get to and also explore the surrounding area. Had a lovely lunch in Tigre followed by 3 kms of kayaking. Super fantastic day - highly recommend!
Ray ray was cool af. Knowlegable and took care of me throughout the tour. Great guide and host. Everything was great on this tour.
What a tremendous way to see Buenos Aires! On a sparkling summers day we rode north through the parks to Tigres , stopping for a coffee at Havana en route. Raymond was a terrific guide. Beyond being a movie actor ( seriously) he is an accomplished cyclist and Kayaker , and has outstanding knowledge of the city and its landmarks. The lunch venue was Tigre lunch “club” , with a large private beach and amazing food cooked over charcoal. Allow at least 9 hours for the round trip - we even came back from Tigre by train
What an excellent way to see the Buenos Aires that you won't get to see from a tour bus. We opted to cycle the whole route and our guide, Jackson led us through the city streets and avenues to the peace of the park at Vicente Lopez where we took a break to learn the ins and outs of mate and how not to let oneself down in polite company. Carrying on to Tigre, we took a small water taxi to pick up our canoes and then paddled off to lunch, which was lovely. Jackson is great company. After lunch we took a quiet route back to the canoe hire, avoiding the wake of some of the larger boats on the delta. A quick helado stop (very nice) and then the train back to Retiro and a short ride back to the start. Thank you Jackson for an unforgettable day. May your bomilla never block.
It is a very fun and adventurous trip. Our guide Paolo was excellent. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
We showed up for our tour only to find they didn’t have it on the schedule even though it had been confirmed via VIATOR. The biking company was apologetic and suggested and abridged version of this tour, which we accepted. They asked us to wait an hour for the guide to arrive. We said yes, and an hour later were told the guide would not be able to take us today. While they were very nice and our money was fully refunded, we ultimately wasted one or two of our days in Buenos Aires.
A fun ride with Ray Ray the guide. Chilly but beautiful. Probably good we didn't kayak in the end. All good fun. Thank you. We'll be back for more!
Ray led the trip - there were three of us. We had a great time. The ride really gets you out of the city, into the northern barrios (neighbourhoods) and beyond - places like San Fernando, San Isidro and Tigre. We made some stops and learned about mate drinking amongst other things. We took a ride on the delta which was lovely, as was the assado bbq. Apart from the adventure itself, this was also a nice way to make connections as well as get to know Ray, who knows the city and the local customs very well. He is a good cyclist with a sense of humour. I wish I could do it all again!
What a fun day, made all the better by Pablo’s good cheer and company. We loved both the bike ride and the kayaking. Great introduction to Mate!
Great day! Highlight was lunch, soooo yummy! Highly recommended. Would have loved to do the pizza bike tour but not enough time in BA.
We did the tour with Jackson, Jackson is a US citizen who is currently living in Argentina, great guy, as you can guess no problem with the English language on the tour. The tour is From 9 am until 5-6 pm, depending on your group speed with the bikes. The tour was great, it was fun and they took care of the food and water while on the tour. I recommend doing it if you are visiting this great city. PS: They also have a Pizza tour here in Bs.As, we didn't have enough time to do it, but Jackson recommended it and Italian food and Pizza especially is a must have in Argentina, so having a tour that will show you around the best pizza in Buenos Aires, sounds great!
A great way to see the northern neighborhoods of Buenos Aires all the way to Tigre where porteños enjoy their weekends. A fun intro to mate and chipis.
If you like to bike, kayak, and experience a city beyond the downtown, this is the adventure for you. A full day biking through downtown Buenos Aires and out to the Tigre region. Our wonderful guides, Jackson and Pablo, skillfully and patiently guided us through city streets and along well maintained bike paths 24 miles outside the downtown to the beautiful Tigre district. They pointed out interesting sights and gave us a feel for what it’s like to live in and around Buenos Aires. The bikes were great and Jackson set a pace that worked well for the group. For reasons beyond anyone’s control, the kayak portion of the trip had to be cancelled. While disappointing, Jackson and Pablo handled it very professionally and treated us to alternative activities that had us not even missing the kayaking. You’ll have a delicious and bountiful bar-b-que lunch and bond over mate. It will definitely be the highlight of our visit to Buenos Aires.
I had so much fun on the two tours - the graffiti tour and then came back for more on the Tigre bike and kayak. Such a great way to experience the city on a more intimate level and moving on two wheels adds to the fun! Raymond is a passionate and safe guide. I learnt so much about the ancient and contemporary history of Buenos Aires/Argentina. He’s so passionate about the country and it shines through. Every effort is made to get the most out of the experience. The highlight for me witnessing locals at work spray painting walls, cycling through the suburbs of BA, learning to make my first maté, and feeling like huckleberry Finn on the Tigre river. Thanks Raymond for an awesome experience I will treasure it for a long time. Steph
Amazing trip!! A must do if you like cycling. Easy ride and it was so great to get out of the city and into the suburbs. Kayaking was fun and the lunch was excellent!
We spent an amazing day of exercise coupled with fun with Ray. We bicycled, road a train, a boat and took a kayak to/from delightful traditional lunch on the Tigre. Ray was informative, fun, funny and understanding with the kids. It was fabulous way to connect with the city.
Really fun and full day with Ray (the Kiwi). The cycling was safe and we seemed to have gone everywhere in BA. Ray knows the area and streets very well. During it I learnt how to make Matte and some biscuits (yummy). After we paddled kyak along the river and stoppped for a huge lunch. I loved these activities and had a really great time with lots of laughter. A must do in BA.
Our tour guide ( Raymond) was not fun also very knowledgeable about history and the remarkable Argentinean culture. Kayaking was one of the highlights of the tour . Great opportunity to see beyond BA.
Very enjoyable and relaxing cycle from BA to Tigre for kayaking - it’s around 30km but if you’ve cycled before it won’t be a problem as it’s a flat terrain. Kayaking and lunch were great, highly recommend the tour.
Jackson was a fun guide for me, my husband and 21 year old son. He even tied my son’s kayak to his and towed him for a bit since he was struggling with the paddling. The tour is a nice change of pace from the city and great for those who want to be active while seeing things during their vacation.
This full day tour was a highlight of our Buenos Aires visit. Jackson was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and friendly. His guidance cycling through the busy part of the city was very welcome and allowed us to feel safe in the short sections of heavy traffic. Overall the cycling route was very pretty and relaxed, following cycling paths in BA and quiet roads all the way to Tigre. Kayaking in the delta was great and sharing a mate made the experience feel very "Argentinian". We appreciated that Jackson shared lots of details about Buenos Aires and Argentina along the route. I highly recommend this tour for any moderately experienced cyclists.
We had a great day with our tour guide, Jackson. He was personable and knowledgeable about the area. We opted to bike the entire way to Tigre so it was about a 20 mile ride. The ride was primarily flat and bike trails made it easy to look around at the area with out worrying about the traffic. We enjoyed our stops, learning how to make Mata and having a coffee at a local café. The Tigre area is very interesting and we really enjoyed kayaking thru it! The meal was excellent as well. The only reason I did not give this excursion 5 stars is because we did have some technical difficulties with the bikes. On one bike the seat broke, fortunately it happened close to the starting area and we could get another one and other we had a flat tire. The guide fix both, but the bikes could use a tune up. Also the starting point is a restaurant and the address is at the back of the restaurant so we weren't quite sure we were at the right place. Maybe a little more clarification on the starting point would be helpful.
A really good way to see the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires as well as Tigre. A really nice day trip to get out of the city, and the bikes and kayaks were both good. I also did the "Heart of the City" tour which was a lot of fun as well. The Tigre tour is more focused on biking/kayaking and less tour, and both tours I took with the company were very good. A fun way to stay active while traveling while getting to see some places you would never go to otherwise!
Just had a wonderful experience biking to Tigre and then kayaking to an island for a typical Argentinian barbecue (by typical, i would warn vegetarians not to expect more than a pretty bland salad). Marian was our guide and was lots of fun and very informative. The bike ride is definitely doable for anyone who can ride a few miles—it’s mostly flat to downhill. The kayaking was only challenging towards the end when we were kayaking into the wind, but had we wanted to we could have taken a shorter route. We were very happy to have done this trip rather than spent another day in the city. Thanks Marian for a great day.
I came with my family and we wanted to do something different. Somehow we found and ad from Biking Buenos Aires. I convinced my family and after the experience they thanked me. We had a blast! Thanks, Felipe, for everything, take care!! Xx
I love a good bike ride - and since I was alone on this tour, the guide Jackson gave me the choice of whether to ride the entire way to Tigre’s (about 35km) or ride a little and take the train there. We rode the entire way - it was a really easy ride as it is flat pretty much the entire way. It was a great way to see some of the nicer and more affluent suburbs of BA that I wouldn’t have seen. The kayaking in Tigers was absolutely stunning and then we arrive at lunch at this beautiful little restaurant. Jackson was really great - we constantly spoke about the area we were going through and he was great fun as well as a great guide. Super recommended for those who want to see something and stretch their legs a little...let’s just say I slept like a baby after this day out :)
We loved that we were able to have a pleasant mix of exercise mixed with our bike tour of the BA suburbs on the way to Tigre for some kayaking. It was the perfect amount of challenging with plenty of time for mate, coffee, and a nice lunch that was very filling. Thanks Jackson for a wonderful day!
I have done the Parks and Plazas tour once and the Heart of the City tour twice--and both are also 5 star tours, but this one was really, really fabulous! Olaf had already been one of our tour guides the week before, and we enjoyed having him guide us again. The bike ride part was a nice, slow cruise to the train station and then from San Isidro to Tigre. The kayaking was absolutely lovely (despite my forgetting sunscreen on my shins). The lunch was substantial, and the train ride home with a short bike at the end was just right. Way to go Biking Buenos Aires! I will be back next time!
Jackson was a super tour guide. We had a great day- cycling up to Tigre. I was the only one on the tour that day, so we opted to not take the train north, but rather cycle the 25 miles. It was super chill, flat and easy to navigate, stopping along the way for coffee and mate and sightseeing. The kayaking was super fun and lunch was delicious. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get out of the main city and see some more of the region!
This is a great day out of you want to get out of the city. I ended up having my own personal tour & Jackson was a super welcoming and friendly guide giving us the low down on anything as we passed through. He was even happy to share a mate & have a beer at the end (obviously my favourite part of the tour). You get to see a part of the BA suburbs & some really pretty towns on the way through that you wouldn't normally see as a tourist and a little ride around Tigre. The Kayak section isn't long so you don't have to be experienced to enjoy the day out. They even recommended bars for me when we were visiting another part of BA on the Sunday!
This trip was a brilliant day out and an interesting way to see suburban Buenos Aires. I was expecting more people to be booked into this tour but it turned out just to be the two of us which was great as it gave us more flexibility. We cycled all the way to Tigre rather than taking the train part way. Our guide, Jackson, was friendly and knowledgable about the area. He pointed things out, told us interesting facts and share his maté! I’d been a little apprehensive about cycling in a such a busy city but it didn’t take long to relax; there are plenty of cycle lanes, drivers seemed patient (certainly compared to the city where I like in the UK!) and Jackson made sure we were safe. I would definitely recommend this company and trip.
If you like biking, kayaking and good times this is a must do. You see a lot of Buenos Aires and Jackson (the tour guide) was awesome.
For us the tour was like exploring part of the city and Tigre Delta with a friend. We felt very welcome all the time. During the biking and kayak tour we saw a lot of gorgeous spots and always felt very well leaded, espacially through the busy traffic of Buenos Aires. Coffee break as well as lunch were included and were super delicious. Also we could learn about the ritual of drinking Mate which gave the tour an extra Argentinean touch. The only thing we would criticize was the kayak we received. It was very bad because a lot of water floated the back seat. But all in all we had a really good time and enjoyed it. Thanks a lot to Jackson!
We had a fantastic day with Martin and Jackson! Very good guides and a very complete experience with a stop to learn and drink Mate, a barbecue lunch, an kayak trip and one by boat on the Delta Tiger. Highly recommended to know another side of Buenos Aires!!
