It was nice to visit unknown parts of the city and see the street art. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about what we saw. What was disappointing is that it was published that it will be 2.5 hrs tour and it was just less than 1.5. We were surprised it suddenly ended.

Very lovely and unique experience with Cecilia ! It was great to see murals and hear the stories about artists and their ideas. Beautiful and very peaceful neighborhood very much out of regular touristy areas. I would recommend to try it.
My daughter and I went on the Saturday afternoon street art tour and it was fantastic! We saw very interesting art in a really nice neighborhood most tourists wouldn't go to since it is not often written about. Matt is a fantastic guide that knows so much and is well connected to the street art scene. I liked it so much that I booked a private car tour of other street art that was both affordable and great! I would absolutely recommend the tour!
This is an exceptional tour that I felt lucky to discover somewhat by happenstance. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and personable, and you will learn and enjoy a lot. Not only is he passionate about art in general but he is especially devoted to supporting developing artists in displaying their work throughout Buenos Aires. In this respect his tour is unique in that you are not just benefitting from his impressive expertise but you are also helping artists in their pursuit of some visual recognition. I was truly impressed and feel appreciative that Matt shared his extensive experience with street art in BA, the role of his organization in helping develop and spread the genre, and added his own personal anecdotes with individual artists and the affected community. A find! Thank you, Matt, for what you do. I’m a fan.
Matt is terrifically knowledgeable, charming, attentive, and passionate about art. It was an absolute pleasure to be in his company and for him to have shared his vast knowledge about street art in Buenos AIres. He is exceptionally well suited for his chosen career and we were his lucky and appreciative beneficiaries.
We spent a fantastic two hours plus walking around a small neighbourhood of Buenos Aires on the street art walking tour. We were a small group of around 8 people, led by Matt who works directly with street artists and who was very knowledgeable. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions and we learned a lot about different artists and media, as well as the history of street art and graffiti in the city.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Not only was this a unique opportunity to explore some lesser known supberbs, but our guide, Matt, was knowledgeable, interesting and super friendly. It was so interesting to hear the many stories behind the art work and their artists, and to learn more about the work Matt's company do. Thank you Matt! Great experience. Highly recommend.
Matt’s involvement in street art was evident- so glad he shared details and highlights of artists, mediums, timeframes as well as history. Incredibly fun to stroll neighborhoods, experience art with a knowledgeable guide!
Such an interesting tour and a really unique way to see the city. The tour was full of energy, interesting stories, great background and covered a lot of ground. It was a wonderful experience - we highly recommend it!
Matt was an amazing guide with a lot of knowledge about the street art and the areas we walked around. He is so enthusiastic about what he does and that really makes the tour a great experience. It was also great to see areas of BA you would normally not go to. I would highly recommend this tour.
Ailen—an art historian was fantastic! She really knew her stuff and gave us a great insider view to the Buenos Aires art scene!
Fantastic experience. Great adjustments for heat (shifted to earlier in the day) and sun (found as much shade as possible).
This tour is a MUST-amazing ,interesting and not to be missed!Matt is a professional, devoted and knowledgeable raconteur of everything to do with Street ArtSo good we want to do it again! Apparently he is publishing another book next year which we can’t wait to read. Have travelled all over the world taking private tours and this was one of the most innovative and impressive tours we have experienced Many many thanks Matt for a great time!
Thé tour was amazing with Matt who is a native English speaker and who also speaks Spanish. This tour is not only for art lovers, but also for travelers who would like to know some more remote and quiet areas of Buenos Aires. You will get to see hidden art gems of Buenos Aires. For me it’s really a must seen and Matt is very generous in terms of providing advices to people who want to get to know more of the art scene.
It was a refreshing way to get to know three of the often, less touristic, more residential neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. There was much to learn about the works we saw, which included local and international street artists. Very informative and friendly tour guide. Would recommend for anyone interested in how these works come about and how they relate to the local community.
We had a wonderful time learning about street art and the artists behind it! Interesting to learn the history and evolution of street art in BA over the last 15 years.
Matt was so knowledgeable about the murals and so accommodating to everyone from shade, bathroom & water stops and taxis.
We had a wonderful time with Matt. He’s part of the community, has lived in it for almost two decades, and his organization brokers the opportunities between street artists and local residents and their (often empty or grafitied) walls. I walked away inspired most by the story of his organization and what it is trying to accomplish. I also would probably not have made it to see that part of town if it weren’t for this tour, and really appreciated that experience and perspective. Fantastic tour. Highly recommend.
My wife and I shared a wonderful rainy afternoon with Matt, as he showed us around a part of Buenos Aires that not many tourists get to see. Matt has a very interesting role in the community and art community in the area, connecting local and foreign artists with building owners in the neighborhoods who are interested in commissioning pieces. This role means he has very deep knowledge around the art, the artists and the process in making public art in the area. We strongly recommend BA Street Art walking tour to any local or foreign tourists who are interested to get a perspective on modern art that you cannot get from a textbook.
This tour was amazing and we saw some really cool and eclectic street art in neighborhoods most tourists likely wouldn't wind up in on their own. Matt was a great host/guide and it was super interesting hearing about the murals his organization helps commission and all of the artists from around the world that come to BA to paint.
This tour was a highlight of our stay in Buenas Aires. On short notice, Matt set up a private tour for me + 5 travel partners. Matt was knowledgeable, personable, and a great tour guide. His personal knowledge of the art and the artists made the tour special and not to miss. Can't recommend this enough.
We would recommend this tour for people looking to do something a bit different on a trip to Buenos Aires, in particular to explore a new neighbourhood of the city you may not otherwise visit. Our guide Matt was brilliant, and expertly took us through the streets of the local neighbourhood to see a variety of street art. Great for photographs and to learn about local life in BA too. The history behind the street art scene is really interesting and it opened our eyes to loads of other street art during the rest of our stay here. We had a great couple of hours that brightened up what would have otherwise been a grey afternoon weather-wise!
Excellent tour giving an insight of the street art and the artists. Matt is knowledgeable and clearly passionate about what he does in supporting the art!
Great tour, very informative and interesting! Lots of really cool art and I loved hearing the stories behind them as the tour works closely with each artist. I would highly recommend!
We really enjoyed the street art tour led by local artist Cecilia who gave great insights into each piece while listening to some great Argentinean music. The area has a relaxed and artistic vibe with some of the best street art I’ve seen.
Fantastic murals walking tour. We learned about the artists and their painting techniques and relevant themes. Highly recommended
Matt did a fantastic private tour for our family. He was so knowledgeable and shared so much about street art and Buenos Aires. Very enjoyable!
An absolutely amazing, personalised experience. The guide is part of the street art community and was able to tell the stories and people behind the art works. He could even tell about people who live in these properties and about the neighbourhoods. I would warmly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to something off the beaten path. Fun to see residential areas and how people live.
This tour was great. Our guide was fantastic, not just because of his knowledge of the art, but because of his familiarity with the neighborhoods that were part of the tour. We left not only getting to see some of the best street art in the world but also with a better understanding of several vibrant neighborhoods in Buenos Aires.
An interesting tour around Belgrano to see and learn about the many murals and street art in the area. Our guide Tonya was very good and seems very dedicated to the street art project and the local community
Matt, our guide, knew the neighbourhoods very well and showed us inspiring murals! Wonderful street art tour through areas of Buenos Aires tourists usually don‘t get to see! Highly recommended!
We had an interesting tour with Tonya who showed her enthusiasm for Street Art. Besides the artwork and the stories behind it, his is a wonderful way to explore some new and not so well known barrios of Bs As.
The tour was excellent. Our guide Tonya was very personable and knowledgeable and she showed us some really great art in neighborhoods of Villa Urquiza and Coghlan.
Amazing tour by the super-knowledgeable Tonya. It takes part in a very quaint residential area of Buenos Aires and is therefore a must-visit if you would like to experience the entire city. Before the tour they help you with how to get there, very helpful! I almost forget to add how amazing the street art is on the tour. Thanks!
Such a wonderful Street Art Tour! Highly recommended! 2.20 hours of utter bliss walking and seeing murals that come alive when Tonya, the guide explains the history behind the murals. Matt, the founder of Street Art Tours arranges and sponsors the murals and has created an open air museum in Buenos Aires with murals. Making the area more beautiful and special.
We really enjoyed this tour, seeing street art and hearing about the area. Tonya was great! Great variety of art.
This is an excellent tour. It gives you the opportunity to see an area of Buenos Aires that you wouldn’t normally see as a tourist. The street art was excellent and our guide, Tonya, was very knowledgeable and interesting. The tour was well paced, and ended at a lovely ice cream shop. The booking process was easy and instructions about where to meet up etc. were excellent. Highly recommend.
Matt, the Street Art Curator has been amazing. Not only did he explain about the art work, he also pointed out the background of the artists and the material they used for the piece. I learnt a lot today from Matt. Thank you, Matt!
Amazing experience from beginning (booking, receiving detailed instructions about meet-up location) to end (the tour itself)! We had a very knowledgeable tour guide, who took her time to tell the group everything she knew about the different murals - allowing us to process what was said and to look at the murals from a different perspective. As a result we felt we got to know Buenos Aires on another level. Would recommend anyone to book this tour. And to book the tour directly with the organisation, seeing as they support local and (inter)national artists.
Matt is very much a “street art” expert with a global pulse and rich experience. Our first afternoon in Buenos Aires was spent walking the streets with Matt as he commented with fascinating detail on the diverse artistic expression covering various walls along the way. He is a great storyteller as well as effective interpreter of history as disclosed by various wall paintings. We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour very much. Highly recommend for a distinctive intro to BA.
Excellent trip. Great street art and Tonya was a fabulous guide. Definitely recommend. Interesting and perfectly paced.
We arrived in BA this morning and I had arranged to take this walking tour a few hours later, if only to get outside and oriented after a long flight from the US. What a wonderful way to begin our exploration of BA! The tour was lovely, historical, informative and full of rich, beautiful murals that provide a glimpse into the dynamic art scene here. Our guide was knowledgeable and just fantastic. The neighborhood was lovely. I couldn’t have picked a better way to start our trip.
Fantastic tour! Matt very knowledgeable and the art was great. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks for a great tour Matt!
What a great tour from a real Street Art Enthusiast. Matt knew everything about the murals and the stories behind them. Probably because he has helped a lot of the artists around the world to find a spot and add to the body of Street Art in Buenos Aires. We learned so much and had a lot of fun - he really loves the art, people in general and you can ask him anything about Argentina and understand his perspective..definitely recommendable!
We really enjoyed the tour. Matt is very passionate about the art and gave us a lot of information about the murals we saw. We covered a large area and finished at a lovely ice cream shop. Definitely go on the tour. It’s very good.
We are so glad we listened to a friend that recommended Matt and his Street Art Tour. We did a private tour with a driver and saw so much in a few hours. Matt is a wealth of information about the art, the neighborhoods, and the artists. He listened to our interests and tailored the street art we saw to us. Not only did we enjoy seeing and learning about the street art but it is a fantastic way to see parts of BA you would probably never see as a visitor. Highly recommend!!!
Our family group of 7 love, love, loved this tour! Our guide was extraordinarily knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the street art in Buenos Aires. Highly recommend!
The tour was really nice and the guide was informative, friendly and kind. Really recommended for people who is want to walk around nice places in the city and see part the local art.
Matt, a british citizen established in BA for over a decade took our small group in a street art tour of the neighborood where he lives. As the founder of BA street art association he knows all the stories behind the murals we see, who are the artists, their inspiration, how the owners liked the works and all about the technics. Lots of insights too about the neighborood I would never have visited otherwise.
Great experience exploring the art in some of the quieter neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Matt has been active in the street art community since he arrived 15 years ago, and it shows in his knowledge of the art and the artists.
