Intimate wine tasting with food pairing. Wonderful three hours tasting five different, small batch wines. Perfect food pairings with each course. The hosts were knowledgeable, down to earth, and extremely personable.

Bertie and Abi tailored the tasting to our interests, taking the time to answer questions and guide us deeper into understanding Argentine wines. The way they introduced wines to highlight subtle differences was both engaging and insightful, without ever feeling overwhelming. The food pairings were outstanding and perfectly matched, elevating each tasting. The setting itself was warm and inviting, more like being welcomed into an Argentinian's home, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and genuine. What really stood out was the care and passion behind it all. This isn’t a corporate or faceless experience — it’s something thoughtfully delivered by people who truly love what they do. Superb wine tasting experience! The owners (couple) are professionals in their field and present a comprehensive overview of the wine regions of Argentina, with ample tastings and delicious tapas for each. It is held in their home for only a small group at at time, so very personal. Much better than other wine tastings offered by local wineries or wine shops. It is also an easy and inexpensive Uber ride from just about any of the surrounding tourist areas. Highly, highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

I've tasted a lot of wine from around the world. This was an unequaled wine tasting. We have tried a bunch of different wines in Argentina, from the market and restaurants, and found them very mixed. Bertie put together an unparalleled collection of wines, showing a variety of regions and grapes. I couldn't help but take some home. Really spectacular choices! Aby's dishes we as good as we've had at Michelin recommended restaurants in the city. Like the wines, they showed a variety of regions and types. We want to go back to learn more from her. Bonny (the dog) was chill but tolerant of petting. Recommended without hesitation!

I booked this last minute after a cancelled flight- Bertie responded promptly and two hours later I was drinking wine and eating delicious food. Bertie and Abbie were wonderful hosts, the wine was presented in an informative way and I liked the selection of smaller estates and the different wines. The food was delicious and offered a great insight into regional food and flavors. As a solo traveller it was also a good way to meet other people. Bertie is clearly in the know of food and wine in the area and connected me to another food experience which turned out to be excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend to my fellow food and wine lovers!

Long story short, this is a must-do in buenos Aires. Bertie and Aby are amazing hosts. Bertie was clearly knowledgeable about wine and made the tasting very accessible to someone like me who is not so knowledgeable. He explained the history and the geography of the wine regions, and why they were important to the overall taste and feel of the wine. He is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Aby is an AMAZING chef. She made the most delicious tapas style foods that paired with each wine. They were some of the most delicious snacks we had here so far. She also explained the reasoning for why she made what she did and why it paired with the wines. She is incredible. Overall, cannot recommend this experience enough. It was an incredible experience and worth every penny.

Our family of 4 had a great time at the Christmas Eve wine tasting and food pairing. Bertie introduced us to some fantastic Argentinian wines we’d never encountered before, and Aby is an excellent chef. They even made some special non-alcoholic drinks for our teenage daughters. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon—highly recommended!

We had a beautiful Christmas Day experience with authentic chef prepared cuisine and Argentinian wine pairings. Highly highly recommend you try this delightful wine tasting experience. Easy to find location, very nice set up. We were absolutely charmed by Bertie and Aby and thoroughly enjoyed the thoughtful and generous journey through a great selection of Argentinian wines and delicious tapas. Bertie and Aby are super knowledgeable but kept the whole evening on a fun, light level leaving plenty of time for us to also chat amongst ourselves. Can’t wait for the empanada T-shirt line…. ;)

Bertie and aby curate such nice experiences! We did the wine and tapas tasting first. We learned about 5 different wines, the areas, things to note, etc. between each wine was a cool tapa with a story and some history as well. We bought 6 bottles to ship back to the states.

We were 4 couples of friends warmly welcomed by Aby and Bertie in their house and this was a great experience of introduction in Argentinian smells and tastes of wines, empanadas and mate. Unforgettable day! Thank you so much Aby and Bertie!

Bertie and Aby are great hosts and I had a really good time and learned alot. Bertie really knows his way around wines and you get get a great understanding and appreciation for the Argentinian wines. It was a great experience. They were friendly and answered all our questions. We only had trouble getting in. Tapas were fantastic and the place nice.

This was the best Non-tour event that I participated in. Extremely knowledgeable about the different wines and their regions. Tapas offerings were worth the price of admission alone. When is the last time that you got to learn something, drink great wine and have appetizers served to you along with their historical significance. This was one of the best experiences we had in Buenos Aires, the food that Aby made was great, Bertie explanations of the different wines was interesting, they made us feel very confortable, and their dog bonnie was very sweet. Me and my wife would highly recommend this experience

We booked this excursion in September 2018 on a college graduation trip with our son and had a great time. Our second visit was just as great. Excellent experience for Americans, since the host is British and the hostess is Argentinian, so easy to learn about the culture if you don’t speak Spanish.

Outstanding and highly recommended! Our group of 6 recently participated in Bertie and Abys Wine and Food pairing session and it was one of our BA highlights! Bertie imparts his deep knowledge of Argentinian wines in a easy going style that appeals to all levels of wine drinkers. His offerings of unique whites like Torrontes and variations of Malbec opened our eyes to these Argentinian specialties. Abys home made food pairing (especially Humitas and Empanadas) raised the session to another level. Bertie even helped us with our wine selections for our dinner at Don Julios! Can't wait to receive the wines we purchased and relive this wonderful experience.

Bertie and Aby are amazing hosts, and no matter your knowledge of Argentinian wine and food, they do a great job of teaching their guests about what they are serving. We booked this as part of our honeymoon and were so pleased with how much fun we had for the afternoon. The wines were excellent and the food was the perfect compliment (the best empanada we had all trip). I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone - wine lovers will learn about the different wine regions and some unique producers, and if you don't know a ton about wine but are just looking for a unique experience, you will have a great time.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Wine Discovery BA on Christmas Day 2024. We planned a last minute trip to Buenos Aires, and this was the perfect way to celebrate the holiday in the city. The homey feel and intimate setting was great for getting to know the others in the group. The wine was all fabulous, and we were so impressed by Bertie's knowledge and wine expertise. Aby made traditional Argentinian Christmas dishes, which were all delicious and fun to try things out of our comfort zone, like beef tongue. It was the perfect way to spend Christmas and I highly recommend this experience for wine lovers or people interested in the food and wine of Argentina.

Bert and Aby make this experience a must. While tasting delicious plates you also get to taste some divine wines. Would do this a thousand times again.

Absolutely fantastic experience! The hosts were, incredible. So knowledgeable and friendly. Plus the wines and tapas were amazing! We had an incredible afternoon, and it was the perfect way to learn more about Argentinian food and wine.

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to South America, certainly a highlight of our stay in Buenos Aires. Aby and Berti are great hosts, they welcomed us into their home like friends, and made us feel comfortable. We also enjoyed meeting and talking with the other guests. Berti was an expert conversationalist as well as being very knowledgeable about wines in general and Argentinian wines in particular. We really enjoyed the selections he made and learning about the terroir they were from. And then there was the food! Aby showed off her culinary skills, each plate showing off flavors of Argentina and pairing wonderfully with the wine. She was a delight. For us, travel is all about meeting people and making a connection. This was the perfect way to learn more about Argentina, its culture, food and wine.

Wonderful time exploring new wines with Bertie and Aby! We learned so much about wine (in general), and specifically Argentinian wines and the accompanying tapas from different regions. They are great hosts, and excellent at communication! I had some issues with booking the experience and they responded immediately and solved the issue right away. Bertie and Aby know how to host a wine and food tasting! This tasting is equally food and wine in the best way. Bertie knows Argentinian wine in depth and can explain both a winery's history and the region from which the wine comes. Aby's family recipes -- especially the Inca-inspired Humita -- are as warm and lovely as her descriptions of them. Paired together, you are in for a treat booking this. Not to mention, their apartment is gorgeous with a fantastic view of Palermo Soho.

A professional team that delivered a paired food and local wine tasting experience with ease and style in a very relaxed and comfortable setting. We loved learning about Argentina, its food, wine and a lot of general chat from politics to economics. Highly recommended.

This was one of the highlights of our three weeks in Argentina. We did both the Wine and Tapas class and the Empanada class. Both were exceptional and the wine and food were fantastic. The Empanada were by far the best we had on our trip. Bert and Abby are friendly and made the class not just fun but culturally enriching as well.
