Brilliant evening. Excellent value . Excellent show. Dancers were so good showing the whole tango experience. The singer also proved the show to be truly from Argentine. The music added to the whole experience especially the man with the bandoneon. .

Itinerary
Enjoy this remarkable show located in the traditional neighborhood of San Telmo, in a picturesque place. An excellent option for those who wish to attend an earlier Tango Show. Its show refers to the early XX Century in the city of Buenos Aires, the life of immigrants and conventillos (tenant houses). In addition to a good Tango Show, it features a Gaucho Show and a special performance with boleadoras. Gastronomy: the variety of dishes is limited but very good. Typical argentine cousine. Appetizers: empanadas (popovers), soups - main courses: mini chorizo steak, grilled chicken, pasta and homemade bakery - desserts: american cream ice cream with berries and italian meringe. Drinks included: 1/2 Bottle of wine per person, mineral water or sodas.

Lovely atmosphere. Dancing, singing and musicians fabulous
This was a fabulous show! The orchestra, the singers, the Tango dancers, and the folk show were all incredible. We had excellent seats in the VIP section and did not have dinner. We felt that spending the money for the VIP seats was an excellent option for us and opted for a more simple dinner earlier. We had originally booked the early show and due to technical reasons had to reschedule for the late show or the early show the following day. This actually worked out better for us in the end anyway. It gave us time to walk around the city in the evening before the show started. I am also happy with our choice to have our own dinner. It looked like a good dinner, and people seemed happy with it, but it was very crowded, and we prefer a more intimate dining experience.
Excellent food, great service, and the show was very good. I've never seen a Tango show before but it was honestly much more entertaining than I was expecting. The venue itself was amazing. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Buenos Aires.
The actual show was wonderful. The singing, music and dancing, including folclórico and tango, were amazing. That being said, this was advertised as an early show. For dinner it said we had to be there at 7 and if we just did the show we had to arrive at 745. It said it ended by 9. I knew my kids would be tired so chose this one. We rushed to get there and thought we were late at 715 for dinner, but then found out the show didn’t start until 915-930. We had to leave early because one of my kids was falling asleep. It didn’t end until around 1030 I think.
To begin the dinner was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly. But of course the tango show was truly captivating. The skills of the performers were beyond what I anticipated. You could feel the passion they have for their craft.
Food was excellent and lots of it. Show was good. Great location to our hotel, which was the Kenton Palace.
This was a one hour tango show that was a lot of fun, and it included some really interesting other acts. The facility is lovely and full of charm. A big consideration for choosing this show, as far as we were concerned, is the show started at 8:30 and we were out and back to our hotel by 10. Which meant we could get a good night sleep before an early flight the next day We did the show only, which comes with a bottle of water for two people, and a bottle of wine for two people we had the Merlot which was absolutely mediocre and we did not finish it All in all, this was a worthwhile experience and we recommend it.
Enjoyable. Food was better than we expected. Good sized portions and favorable. Wife and I had different dishes so we could share. Tango show was entertaining. Never seen tango before. Dancers were good, band was nice, singer very good, and touches excellent
I was looking for a tango dinner show that caters to a small crowd and a venue that is not in a big theatre for a more intimate experience. And the early tango show and dinner at 7PM is more convenient for us. Algibe Restaurant has good reviews among the restaurants in Buenos Aires. We were given a choice for the 3 course gourmet dinner with drinks included and it was very good. The service was excellent. The show was impressive. From tango and folklore dancers, the musicians, a band, and a male solo singer completed a well rounded cultural experience. I booked through Trip Advisor, in particular with this tour operator, Private Tour Guide Buenos Aires, @ carlos-batourguide. Their price was much cheaper than the other tour operators. I would recommend for a tango dinner show. It is worth it. Come early to get good seats.
There are many places to see tango performed here in Buenos Aires but most of them don’t start until 10:00pm. If you want an earlier show this one is a good option. It is in a smaller venue with three levels of seating so everyone has a good view of the stage. The show is non-stop high energy lasting an hour. There were from one to three couples dancing tango with costumes that evoked the 1940’s and were changed throughout the show. There was also a performance of flamenco with boleros and drums, a few solo vocal numbers, and some instrumental pieces played by the band. The band included a bass, piano, bandolero, and guitar. Their playing really set the mood. A few comments to share. The description of this show on TripAdvisor made it sound like the optional dinner was a set menu. We’ve found that the food served at this type of setting is sometimes lacking, so we opted for show only tickets. The advertised time if you chose the dinner option was 6:45, with the show starting at 7:45. When we were seated at about 7:30, others around our table were just then ordering their meals. So the show actually started at 8:30. Had we known the dinner time was very flexible, we would have arrived 30-45 minutes later. Also, diners were ordering off menus, so there were multiple options for what one wanted. If we were to go again, I think we would include the dinner option as the food looked good. Overall, this was a great show, everyone in the cast highly skilled and the result was an intimate experience of authentic Argentine music and dance.
Good meal and show. Went into it not expecting much, very pleasantly surprised. Wine, food and show good
It was an average tango show. The band was very good. There was an act with amazing skills at twirling these balls on ropes (don’t know the correct name for them).
The show was great, food and service was very attentive and done to our satisfaction. Wonderful music
I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this show was. I was a little worried it was going to be gimmicky and very touristy, but the dancing and music were lovely. The show started about 40 minutes late but went for a full hour, with lots of dances, a few songs, and one gaucho-style performance. I didn't opt for the dinner but other people at the table clearly enjoyed the meal and the portions looked very generous and nicely presented.
I must say that the show was terrific and the dinner was delicious. Reason for my 3 star rating is: (1) the front desk guy did allow 10 other people to get in before us, although we were waiting to go inside since 6:15 pm. (2) when I asked them if we can sit in the front tables, the waiters lied to me saying there are “reserved for VIPs”. But 15 minutes after show started the same waiter allowed three people to sit in the front. This is sad! (3) a woman was forcing us to get some pictures taken by her in spite of me telling her multiple times we do not want you to take our pictures. After 4 attempts she quit asking us further.
Great experience. As it says it’s an early show ending at 2130 so no need to stay up too late. It’s a great mix of tango / gaucho and music that maintains interest throughout. The venue is small and feels intimate. Ask to sit in the front section if possible. The view from our table was excellent. The food is good if not spectacular but look at the price, it’s good value. Plenty of wine on open pour made for a good night all round and back to our hotel by 2200 We booked thru tripadvisor incl dinner excl transport for a great price Highly recommended
The show was great and dinner was decent (caramel crepes were delicious!), but it was so hot and crowded that it was hard to enjoy. It was 80 Fahrenheit with no air movement. We arrived at 6:45 and were seated 3/4 of the way back so I would definitely arrive earlier. They served food from the front to the back, and we barely got our dessert before the end of the show so I don't know about the people who were further behind us. They definitely had time to bring around the plate asking for the tip before the end of the show though. 😉
Great show with earlier time schedule. People can take pictures on stage before show and during dinner.
Meal was better than we expected. Small, historic theatre. The Gaucho performance was great, as were the tango couples; frequently changing costumes.
It was enjoyable by whole family, kids included. The kids liked the food and the weapon dancing very much
The food and the show were good, but not amazing. However, it’s the only early tango show in BA. The staff at the venue worked hard and the food was abundant. The tour operator was able to adjust our tickets for a later date because ew had flight delays, so that was appreciated.
Easy checking in, showed us to our table. Food was fantastic (sirloin steak With potatoes and wine excellent. Wasn’t sure what to expect and we were blown away with dancing, singing, gauchos with bolas and musicians. Great evening and nice people at tables around us.
Amazing show, delicious three course meal with delicious wine. Everything was great and everyone was very kind. I would definitely book this show/dinner again.
Very good show and ambience. The dancers were fantastic, the orchestra was fabulous and the gaucho with the boleadoras was amazing. We also enjoyed dinner and the transfers. Our driver was very kind.
Classical tango show that has more than dance, music and a perfect support band, plus beautiful costume. All combined with a perfect dinner, with cordial and effective care. Highlight the decoration of the house with impeccable cleanliness
Grossartiges Erlebnis! Alle Tänzer mit funkensprühendem Temperament, atemberaubend. Gesamtes Personal sehr freundlich. Essen sehr gut. Wir können es sehr empfehlen.
