The hotel had a great service the pools were warm and there were many activities offered like tennis, biking , yoga, massage, and more. I loved it and the food was good but I feel like the dinner could have more options

What a disappointment ! This is no longer a 5 stars Hotel, it may be a 3 stars if being generous. Our stay was bad from arrival. We got there and there was no one to hold the doors open or help us with luggage. Check-in is at 15 hrs, we got there at 15:30 and our room wasn’t ready; once they gave it to us it was missing the Crib which we had requested months in advance (they brought it later that night). EVERYTHING needs maintenance. Floors, walls, paintings, the bathroom’s marble, the shower head even our room’s Deck was full of glass-shards and vegetation growing on it since who knows when. Everything else in the hotel ALSO needs maintenance, paths, patio, pool. This is now a place for Companies to plan outings and retreats, guests, regular guests, have NO PRIORITY. We only got to know 1 out of the 3 restaurants even though we stayed for a week, because the others were always closed for an event, one night they even close the Playroom for a company’s event. They also wouldn’t let us order form the other places menu. NONE of this happening was disclosed when we booked out vacations and let alone considered on the price. The ONLY restaurant we could go to was very pricey with a very limited array of options to choose from (room service is ridiculously expensive). We stayed with the wife and kid, the toddler chair they gave us every night was really rusty, not only the legs which I could ignore, but the bolts on the chair and the containment-bar which we had to put a blanket over so that the baby wouldn’t touch it or try to lick it ! Drinks were really good 3 days and really bad the other days (maybe bartenders swap). All this being said, the people at the restaurant, both in the morning and evening’s were really good to us, great service !
The building and facilities are nice, luxurious, and spacious, but it’s clear the hotel has seen better days. The property is run-down, with noticeable wear and tear and unfixed issues like a leaking shower and a balcony door that doesn't close properly. While housekeeping and the staff were great, the overall experience falls short for a 5-star hotel charging $250/night. They cheap out on basic room amenities: no trash bags in the bins (a hassle with a toddler in diapers), plastic cups for coffee, and low-quality coffee bags that weren't even restocked. Small, inexpensive details like these make a big difference for guests, but management clearly isn't paying attention.
Stayed for two nights over the weekend. This hotel feels like a property that was probably outstanding 10–15 years ago, but today it is clearly showing its age. Visible wear and tear in the rooms, outdated technology, a small and dated spa area, and a service level below what is common in comparable luxury hotels all contribute to a feeling that the property has not kept pace with modern standards. One particular disappointment was that, while the hotel is part of a large country club development, hotel guests have limited access to several areas. As a result, opportunities to walk around and enjoy the wider grounds are more restricted than one might expect from a resort of this scale. The property seems to rely heavily on the reputation it built years ago. With a significant renovation and renewed focus on service, it could once again be an excellent luxury resort.
Rooms are incredibly outdated. For a Hotel of this level, I can not believe I found things as shown in the pictures attached. The bathroom was constantly flooded. We went for dinner at 8.30 pm and end up being served at 10 pm. As a family with 3 kids and a senior of 91 years old, inconvenient is an understatement. I get it, you have a lot of people staying, but as you have only 4 choices of dinner, staff should be quicker. They were really kind, yes, but sadly that doesn't mean "good service". And the 2nd dinner shift end up being also really upset. I scheduled a lymphatic massage and have to ask the lady to apply some kind of light pressure, because she was literally just caressing me. On the other hand, the relaxing massage was good. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but for thay kind of money one would expect more care into the layout and quality of the bedrooms.
