Brilliant hotel! Lovely rooms, good location, breakfast was delicious too. Very very friendly and helpful staff, especially Bautista and Daniel in the Food and Beverage department. Really made our stay in Buenos Aires even more special - thanks so much again from Colm and Niamh
The location is good, but room 205 is dark and cold and noisy. It has constant noise from air conditioning, and it has no natural light. Maybe this is different in other rooms, but I would recommend avoiding this room. The service is excellent though, the staff are very helpful, the breakfast is nice and the function rooms are good.
Like most older hotels in South America maintenance is difficult but the rooms are still nice and the location is great. The staff was very obliging and found is a room with a king bed. There is a mini bar with some drinks. The lobby is elegant and the breakfast was good though not extensive.
The bar food is very good What a lovely man Antonio is. Very helpful. Efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and very good service. On another occasion the lovely Marina recommended a nearby Italian restaurant that was super. Such staff are an asset to City Hotel
I am writing to share feedback on my recent stay. While the location is excellent and the staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, the overall experience fell short of five-star expectations. The room was comfortable but in need of updating, and the air conditioning was noisy, which affected comfort. Breakfast was acceptable, though weekend service lacked made-to-order options and even basic items like boiled eggs were sometimes unavailable. The rooftop pool area was disappointing due to its very small size, Offering only seven sun loungers and four tables for guests hoping to relax after a day of sightseeing in the heat with inconvenient access via another hotel—neither of which align with luxury standards. Despite the hotel’s strong potential, the facilities and experience do not justify its five-star rating or pricing. A special mention and top marks to Raquel at the rooftop pool bar for her excellent service.
