Great location in the heart of Recoleta neighborhood. Three night stay during a holiday weekend in Buenos Aires. We highly recommend this hotel. Staff is friendly and most speak fluent English. Rooms are big and clean. Beautiful view of La Recoleta cemetery from our window. Some services (laundry) not available on holiday. This is a busy neighborhood with clubs and bars nearby, so expect some late noise. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was well appointed and in the interior pool area. Very nice!
The Loi is located in a safe and very attractive area of Buenos Aires. So close to the popular tourist attraction the Recoleta cemetery, a shopping mall, great restaurants and markets. The rooms are spacious with tea & coffee making facilities. We breakfasted and dined in the stunning atrium and the food was delightful. The desk and doorstaff were friendly and accommodating to our needs.
I was the group leader of a group of 12 and we stayed at Loi Suites Recoleta about 4 times during our 16 day stay in Argentina. The location of the hotel is great with the cemetery nearby and great restaurants also within walking distance. There is a small heated pool and a free sauna which was great and the morning breakfast buffet was also quite good though you had to ask specifically to a waiter to get proper coffee and eggs to order. I had to opportunity to see many of the rooms and my the best room IMO is the one facing the street entrance in the middle of the hotel where it is just one big open plan rectangle. Many of the other rooms are weird shapes and less spacious. None of the rooms have amazing views but the higher you are the less likely you are to hear noise from the streets below. I did have a few issues with the staff which caused great frustration. One morning we were going to Iguaza and we brought our luggage down before breakfast. We assumed the staff would put our luggage on the bus with everyone else in our party but when we arrived at the airport everyone's luggage was there but ours. We had to hire a taxi to get our luggage to the airport and thankfully we did not miss our flight but it was very stressful. While the staff did not really take responsibility in the end they gave us a free massage at the end of our stay which was a nice gesture. I also have to say that while some of the staff was great other were quite clueless and did not have a great command of English. Overall its a great place to stay but choose your room carefully and don't make any assumptions about your luggage when you leave it by reception..
I sat down for lunch at 1:30pm. Ordered a ribeye steak and fries. It is now 2:56 an it has not arrived yet.
Beautiful hotel with a calm, airy vibe. Service was genuinely great and the food was decent. The rooms are very comfortable, which makes the whole stay feel easy. The downside is the soundproofing. I shouldn’t be able to hear my neighbor using the bathroom, but here we are. Also, whoever installed the towel rack right at the shower exit clearly never tested it in real life. You’re basically guaranteed to bump into it. Still, overall a very good stay.
