Unfortunately, my stay at Hotel Pulitzer Buenos Aires was very disappointing. I had to deal with three different rooms because of various problems: * One room had a disappointing view. * Another room had a stale, unpleasant smell and did not feel fresh. * There was a crack in the window. * Toilet seats were loose and wobbly, and one actually came off. * The curtains were marked and damaged. * The bedside lamps were not working. * There was no kettle in the room. I spent far too much of my holiday dealing with room changes and reporting maintenance problems instead of enjoying Buenos Aires. I was also uncomfortable with the way my payment card was handled. I explained that I only had a debit card, but I ended up having to show card information through my banking app on my phone. Overall, I expected a much higher standard from this hotel. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it based on my experience.

As a first-time traveler to Argentina, I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay than Hotel Pulitzer. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. One of the highlights of my stay was spending my afternoons at the restaurant enjoying coffee and my first drinks of the day with Claudio, Sabrina, Yanina, Leonela, and Natalia. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth made me feel in my element. Every interaction was memorable, and their attention to detail never went unnoticed. The experience continued downstairs at BDT Club, where Augusto crafted some of the most exceptional cocktails. His talent, hospitality, and passion for his craft elevated every evening. The location was exactly what I needed as a first-time visitor to Buenos Aires—convenient, safe, and perfectly situated to explore the city. The food was consistently delicious, and every aspect of the hotel exceeded my expectations. What made this stay truly special, however, were the people. Beautiful hotels can be found anywhere, but exceptional people create unforgettable experiences. The entire team made such an impression on me that, honestly, I could have spent my entire trip at the hotel and still would have been perfectly happy! Thank you to everyone at Hotel Pulitzer for making my first visit to Argentina so memorable. I can't wait to return.
My partner and I enjoyed a 4 night stay, outstanding value for money (leaving us more $ for delicious steak dinners and wine), friendly and efficient service (including a complementary late checkout & perfectly cleaned room daily). Breakfast was good quality, simple and very tasty. Location is good, lots of nice places an easy walk. We did find some parts of downtown patchy & would recommend taking an uber to dinners at night.
I had two separate stays here during my trip. I was upgraded to a suite on the first stay which was on the 12th floor. It may sound great until the bar right above opens. You can hear all the furniture being dragged on the floor, loud music, and people walking. It was quite unpleasant, so avoid the 12th floor! The second stay was in a normal room as it was a longer stay. The room was adequate, nothing to write home about. When asked for late check-out as a Globalist, I was given 1PM. I was told that the hotel was fully booked, BUT I could stay longer if I pay extra. I found that only one front desk staff (the older gentleman) was friendly and helpful. All other ones were either unfriendly or just doing their job because they had to. The breakfast in the basement was bare minimum with very basic items. The attached restaurant was quite good for a quick meal. Note that the lounge/bar in the basement (currently closed) and the lounge on the second floor (not open yet) can probably enhance the stay experience as they seemed quite nice.
Hotel Pulitzer in Buenos Aires is representative of a somewhat bygone era of hotels. The lobby and lounge are designed for actual guest enjoyment use and not just a transit area, making them feel like a living area extension of your room. We spent time reading, working and enjoying the spaces and books on offer. The pool was the perfect respite from the BA summer heat. The restaurant had a superb ribeye and the room service club sandwich was top tier. The complimentary breakfast was a lovely inclusion in a dreamy space. The Skybar provided perfect Negronis, which we enjoyed as the sun set and the DJ played vibey house music. Most of all, the hospitality we encountered reminded us of what the hotel experience is supposed to be. When we were told wasn’t ready for early check in (totally understandable), the door man recommended we enjoy the pool in the meantime. When we told Rafael (an absolute gem of a Concierge) that we wanted to head out for a coffee, he gave us recommendations for both nearby espresso bars and classic BA confeterias. It’s this level of warm professionalism and anticipation of guest needs that provides an experience that feels truly luxurious. We’ll certainly return to Hotel Pulitzer on our next visit to Buenos Aires and now very much look forward to staying at their other locations in Europe. To summarize in Spanish, it was “de pelicula”!
