We stayed at Hotel De Casco two nights, but I wish we could have stayed longer. The service was great, and the hotel was beautiful. We felt very welcome and would recommend this hotel strongly to anyone.

Hotel del Casco is one of those rare places that stays with you long after you leave. A year later, I still remember the sense of calm as I walked through this beautifully preserved historical building in San Isidro, just outside Buenos Aires. The architecture and decor retain so much of the original character that you feel like you’re stepping into a different era, without sacrificing comfort or warmth. The rooms are incredibly spacious, with high ceilings and period details that echo the mansion’s past life as an aristocratic residence. Even though I only stayed for one night, I can still picture the light coming through the windows and the feeling of having real breathing space, not just another standard hotel room. There’s a quiet dignity to the way the historic elements are maintained—nothing feels over-renovated or generic; it genuinely feels like a lived-in piece of local history. Breakfast was another highlight: beautifully presented, with cakes that looked as lovely as they tasted. It felt less like a hotel buffet and more like being welcomed into someone’s elegant home, where care and pride go into every detail. This year, I accidentally made a non-refundable booking and then had to cancel. Despite having every right to charge a penalty fee, the hotel graciously waived it and let me off the hook. That gesture of kindness and flexibility says a lot about their values: they don’t just preserve history in the walls and furniture, they carry forward an older, more gracious way of treating guests.
Perfect place to get the rest you need! Nice classic setting. Very good breakfast.
We spent six nights at this small hotel in San isidro, an old suburb of Buenos Aires. The hotel is in an early 20th century house that was converted and to which added one or two small buildings in the back. The patio/courtyards with skylights: like being transported 120 years into the past including the manager and everyone who worked in the hotel being pleasant and helpful — I don’t have enough adjectives to praise them. Everything was immaculate. We had a wonderful room, M My two favorite things were they perfume of honeysuckle Is there going to our room, the patios and the best breakfast you can dream of. I would go back to Buenos Aires just to stay in this hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It made all the difference to our stay. This hotel feels like a well kept secret. I hope it stays that way
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Hotel Del Casco. What a gem. Quiet, well appointed and a classic colonial building with a fabulous courtyard and garden houses. The foyer alone is worth the stay. I can easily imagine a classy wedding or other event here. Plus the food is excellent!
