The hotel and the restaurant of the horel has the same place to review... so here is my opinion of the Restaurant The Restaurant is outdated, the food is basic. Is correct but there many excellent options in Buenos Aires. Is sad to see this great structure so diminished and sad. It could be a jewel of bs as. But is lacking of investment and promotion Sorry great job from the waiters and staff!!!!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Club Frances during our recent travels to Buenos Aires. From the moment we stepped in, we were treated like royalty! Everyone is very helpful, kind, and dedicated to ensuring you are comfortable. When we returned after 10 days from the South, the staff recognized us and welcomed us with open arms! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. El desayuno is a delight! We adore the staff and to one day return!

Pros: My wife and I stayed here five nights. This is an older hotel but with decor that is beautifully French. It has pleasantly spacious rooms. The French restaurant downstairs is truly excellent. I strongly suggest the duck and pumpkin soup. Breakfast was very good, with options for customized items and served in a glass enclosed marble patio. The staff were very helpful. The location was great and the rate was affordable. Cons: the hotel is quite old, and they really need to replace the bad fluorescent lighting in the hallways, clean the stains on the elevator ceiling/artwork/walls/carpets, and address the cracks in the hallway trim. However, the main thing to be aware of is that this is not the place for you if you have a sensitive sense of smell... there was a slight smell of either mold or a small sewage leak in the hallways. This was especially evident near the elevators and on floor 2/3/4. If you are not sensitive to smells, you may never notice it. However, even though our room and the restaurant were fine, we eventually decided to switch hotels. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would come back if they addressed these upkeep issues.
