We booked the most expensive suite with the premium New Year's Eve package at the Sheraton Buenos Aires Greenville, expecting a luxurious 5-star experience to celebrate the 2025/2026 New Year. Instead, we got an absolute nightmare of neglect, filth, and poor service that ruined our holiday. The New Year's Eve dinner was terrible – overpriced, poorly prepared food that felt mass-produced and tasteless. The air conditioning in our suite was completely broken despite outside temperatures of +38°C. The filters were clogged with thick layers of dirt and grime (clearly never cleaned for years). Days later, it still wasn't fixed. Their "solution" was to drag in a massive industrial fan that roared like a jet engine and was coated in grease and filth – disgusting and unusable. The private terrace attached to our top-tier suite was revolting: thick layers of bird droppings everywhere, a huge stagnant dirty puddle that had clearly been there forever, and overall grime showing it had never been properly cleaned. In a luxury suite? Unacceptable and unhygienic. The pool area was dangerous – the tiling was peeling off, and our child badly cut his foot on the sharp edges. Staff response was minimal. Service throughout was lazy and indifferent – requests took repeated complaints to get any attention. At breakfast (part of the "premium" package), I simply asked for fried eggs. The staff looked at me like I was crazy and said, "We don't make fried eggs." Basic requests were treated as unreasonable. For the thousands of dollars we paid, this was outright deception. The hotel is badly maintained, dirty, and far below Marriott/Sheraton standards. We left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and regretting our choice. Strongly advise against staying here, especially for special occasions. There are much better options in Buenos Aires. This place is a dirty, hazardous sham hiding behind polo fields and pretty photos. Serious health risks (mold, stagnant water, injuries) in a "new" hotel? Marriott/Sheraton should be embarrassed. We left disgusted, uncomfortable, and out thousands of dollars. Avoid this resort entirely — especially families or for special occasions. Save your money for a truly clean and professional place.

While the hotel boasts nice facilities and spacious rooms, it faces several significant issues. Firstly, the rooms are poorly constructed, with doors to the bathroom that barely clear the toilet and sink. Secondly, the blackout curtains fail to block sunlight and also collapse. Thirdly, the hotel is situated behind a gated neighborhood community, making it over 30 minutes away from the city center and an hour from the airport. The most serious problem, however, is the lack of food safety. Hordes of houseflies patrol the breakfast buffet and the food in the lounge. Despite my reservations, I decided to eat here and subsequently contracted traveler’s diarrhea within 48 hours, necessitating the use of antibiotics.
The Sheraton Greenville was an excellent stay. It is pretty far from Buenos Aires, about an hour drive from the airport, but is a beautiful place to get away. Security for the community is stout, be prepared to show your passport each time you enter or leave the property. The bar and the restaurant were both outstanding. The club lounge was nice to have access to but sparsely stocked. The pool was very nice. Our room had a balcony overlooking a polo field, and was perfectly comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay.
I just had a terrible experience at this hotel. The reception was chaotic, the AC in my room wasn’t working, and I was made to wait over 2 hours just for them to “decide” whether to switch me to a different room. They eventually sent a mechanic after hours, who worked for about 30 minutes—but nothing was actually fixed. Instead of providing a real solution, the hotel expected me to repeatedly check different rooms, go back and forth, and even move rooms every single day during a long stay. That is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had. I do not recommend this hotel. Marriot should remove this from its network, not up to the standard.
completely exceeded my expectations. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the pool area is stunning, and the fitness center is excellent with everything you’d expect from a top-tier hotel. What really makes this place stand out is the staff. Every single person I encountered — from the front desk to management to the restaurant team — went above and beyond. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made me feel genuinely cared for in a way that’s rare even at five-star hotels. One small note: the property is inside a large gated community, so it helps to confirm your driver is dropping you off at the correct entrance. Overall, this is one of those rare places that truly understands what hospitality means. It’s the kind of environment that leaves you refreshed, calm, and grateful you came.
