For anyone traveling on a vacation, I recommend this place every time! I travel frequently for work, this year so far I’ve stayed in hotels 60 nights in mostly Hilton and Marriott. For this vacation, I chose this location. From my first interaction with Austin, I knew this was going to be a good experience. He explained everything perfectly, took his time, and was happy to make nearby recommendations for activities. I have never met someone in hospitality as personable as Austin. I also interacted with Emily, who is also very pleasant to talk to, also made recommendations for me, and helped me with anything I needed. Joao, who’s on overnight shift, was fantastic. Extremely kind, answered any questions I had thoroughly, and I appreciated his welcoming personality. All three were amazing in their own ways, and made the experience unforgettable. For the hotel room itself, it was also perfect. Only two rooms per floor, so you don’t have to walk much after the elevator to get to your room. The room itself smelled great, had all the amenities one could ask for (including a balcony you can actually walk on!). I had the deluxe with the sauna and jacuzzi, but I only used the sauna because I’m not a jacuzzi person. Either way, I definitely loved having them both there. Water pressure was great in the shower. Surrounding the hotel are a lot of nice restaurants, laundromat if you need it, coffee shops, grocery, etc. the main road is a block away fans has unlimited things to do, but it’s extremely quiet in the room itself. If I come back to BA, I’m definitely staying here again. The quality of every detail is outstanding.

Pros - big room - great location, close to everything - very nice staff - free Netflix, very convenient Cons - not 4 star hotel - moldy damp smell and feel of room - mold on curtains - very thin sheets that you can see the mattress, kinda made my skin crawl - tub is stained, I definitely did not use it - room is dark - lobby is tiny - shower had bugs on it - shower will leak all over the floor - they didn’t clean room everyday - room just felt damp and I just was not comfortable at all, couldn’t wait to leave - only 2 rooms a floor and your neighbour is actually across the hall but for some reason you can hear everything, like thier full conversation.
Warning: The hotel staff kept insisting that we book our taxi to the airport through them, saying they had a trusted taxi company they’d worked with for a long time. They repeatedly assured us that the fare was a fixed 40,000 pesos in cash, emphasis on fixed. We confirmed this at least three times, including right before departure, even though it was already higher than Uber’s usual 30,000-peso rate. After arriving at the airport, the driver showed us messages that it's 45,000 and demanding more money. When we called the hotel, they suddenly claimed the fare was now 45,000 pesos. This kind of bait-and-switch petty cash is why most people should just stick with Uber. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself was quite good. The jacuzzi was great. But experiences like this leave you feeling that the staff simply can’t be trusted.
We really enjoyed our stay at CasaCalma for our visit to Buenos Aires, three weeks ago. The hotel is very centrally located, the rooms were great, very spacious, nice comfortable king-size bed and great amenities in the room, including our own personal jacuzzi, in both our rooms. The staff were great, very helpful with good advice and easy to talk too. The nature of the two rooms per floor, makes you feel secure and it was very quiet at night. Thanks for a great stay, Brendan and John from the UK.👍
We loved the service, the receptionists were really nice and helpful :) The minibar prices were absolutely fine. The room itself was very spacious, lots of storage, great air conditioner, no insects, very comfy bed and amazing hot tub to use. Plenty hof hot water and great water pressure 👌 we booked with breakfast and I enjoyed the wide variety, also they had really good sweets. We had a great stay
