Can't beat the location of this one. Where to start? The whole staff was amazing during our 2 night stay: from Romina, Ignacio and the girls at the M club. Everybody went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Got a really room with a nice view of 9 de Julio. Room.. they have shown its age and might need a renovation soon, still maintains its elegance, bed was a little firm but I had no problem. sleeping. I'll definitely stay here again. The pool has an incredible view.

The location is hard to beat if you want to explore Buenos Aires. Almost everything is within easy reach, making it a great base for your trip. The breakfast and executive lounge are decent, but they don’t quite live up to the hotel’s excellent location. It seems the neighborhood is doing most of the heavy lifting.
I'm from Germany and stayed at the Buenos Aires Marriott for 2 nights. I honestly had a really great experience. From the first moment, I felt genuinely welcomed. Especially Celeste at the reception stood out. She was incredibly kind, engaged and helped me so much with a special request. You could really feel that she cared and wanted guests to have a good stay. The breakfast was very good with a variety of warm and cold options, and a fresh fruit selection. I was also very happy with the room and appreciated the upgrade. Everything was very clean, the bathroom was nice, and the shower had a strong adjustable water pressure, which was nice. The room temperature was easy to control as well, both heating and cooling worked perfectly. The only downside for me were the windows, which are not insulated properly in the building, so you can hear some street noise at night. But with earplugs it wasn’t a problem anymore. The absolute highlight of this hotel is the fitness and pool/spa area on the 23rd floor. The view from up there is incredible, especially during sunset. It actually makes you more motivated to work out. The cardio area is very well equipped, the strength machines are older but still usable. The pool area was another favorite of mine: heated, clean and located in a beautiful glass indoor area with an amazing view. I also loved that you can dive outside into a small connected outdoor section on the terrace. There is one small sauna for men and one for women as well. Very pleasant when traveling alone, although couples should know that going together in the sauna isn’t possible because of the separation. Also worth mentioning, every staff member I interacted with was very friendly, and everyone spoke English, which made everything very easy and comfortable as an international traveler. Would definitely stay here again when coming back to Buenos Aires.
As a Bonvoy member who stays at Marriott properties throughout the year, this was a genuine disappointment. The hotel feels old and uncared for. Rooms are dark and noisy, with doors that do nothing to block corridor sound — not what you expect at this price point. The overall atmosphere is cold and somewhat decadent, in the wrong sense of the word. Service at breakfast was particularly poor. Waitstaff showed no initiative — no table approach, no eye contact. The buffet didn’t help either. In the room, complimentary water wasn’t restocked until we asked, and we were then charged for two bottles. One restaurant in the lobby. That’it, cold and dark The rooftop pool is the exception — genuinely warm and relaxing. The only place in the hotel where you actually want to spend time. Marriott can do much better than this for the price they charged
Marriott Downtown Buenos Aires has a very good location and the team is genuinely nice and professional. The rooftop pool is also a highlight and a great place to relax. Unfortunately, the negatives clearly outweigh the positives. The rooms are totally outdated, with old wooden interiors and very worn bathrooms and showers. If you don’t book a room with a view, you’re essentially looking at a wall. The fitness room is another major disappointment: the air conditioning barely works. One unit in the cardio area is running, but the room still becomes extremely hot, and the strength room has only one AC unit that cannot cool the space at all. Training there is uncomfortable and next to impossible. The breakfast is also below expectations and not what you would expect from a Marriott property. All in all, as a loyal Marriott customer for more than two decades, this stay was clearly below Marriott standards. I cannot recommend this hotel.
