An excellent introduction to local wines. A fine host, excellent charcuterie, and tasty wines. Highly recommend.

My husband and I attended the Deluxe Evening, featuring nine wonderful Hungarian wines accompanied by a selection of delicious Hungarian snacks. We had a fantastic time, enjoyed great company, and truly loved the whole experience. Our sommelier was incredibly friendly and engaging. He had impressive depth of knowledge and introduced us to many interesting Hungarian wines we probably never would have discovered on our own. His enthusiasm and entertaining way of presenting the wines made the evening even more enjoyable. It was probably one of the most enjoyable evenings we spent in Budapest. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and friendly, and the city-centre location was perfect. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Budapest. A fantastic evening, wonderful wines, delicious food, and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended!

The wine cellar is quaint; the charcuterie set up prepared in advance; and the wine specialist knowledgeable and informative. We have a greater understanding of Hungarian wines. Pourings and food were generous. It was a pleasurable experience. We highly recommend !

She is extremely knowledgeable about Hungarian wine and also informative about the region’s wine. She is friendly and gave us great recommendations for other tourist sites and restaurants. This was a lovely cellar shop and our Sommelier, Augustine, was very knowledgeable about Hungarian wines. He made the experience interactive and enjoyable. I would do this again. They pour full glasses of wine for you to taste.

Very nice wine tasting setting that lasted for 2 hours. The local wines were good, and there was interesting conversation at the shared tables with couples from various countries.

The wine tasting was a wonderful experience and a great introduction to Hungarian wines. Unfortunately, we can’t remember the name of our facilitator, but he was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job explaining the different wines, regions, and grape varieties. We really enjoyed the experience and learned a great deal about Hungary’s rich wine culture. We highly recommend this tasting to anyone interested in discovering and exploring Hungarian wines!

On arrival, the wine tasting was set up perfectly with tables which promoted a sociable environment. I quickly made friends with other attendees from America and Australia, and the conversation flowed …as did the wine. Our host was not just incredibly knowledgeable about Hungarian wine, he was passionate about it which made for a truly informative experience. The wine and cheese he’d selected were paired superbly and left me wondering why I’d not consumed Hungarian wine before! Moving forward, I shall be!

Exposure to Hungarian wine is very limited in the states. We did the 3pm 5 wine tasting and it was great to get some preliminary exposure to the region. 2 reds, 2 whites, and a unique Hungarian dessert wine. The sommelier was incredibly welcoming, and one of the bottles we purchased was packed up by the winemaker himself there during the event. A great experience, would absolutely recommend.

The sommelier knew the wines and they were paired nicely with the charcuterie board. He spent time talking about the wines, then allowed us 15 minutes to enjoy the wine and food. It was a pleasant experience with good wine.

The wines were carefully selected to give us a true taste of the various Hungarian regions - 2 whites, 2 reds and a special dessert wine. All with a wonderful board of cheeses and meats to accompany and pair with the chosen wines. There was a basket of bread with an oil dip, also meant to enhance the tastes. The presentation by our sommelier was easy to follow and it was clear that they are very proud of their winemaking heritage. All this in an adorable little brick room across from their store. Just go - you will enjoy and it’s well worth the reasonable cost.

Very unique and fun experience. Informative and educational. A history lesson in Hungarian wines with some humor and expertise. We enjoyed the tasting and the charcuterie very much. Group seating and a nice change to meet and talk to other tourists. A great afternoon session providing a nice break in the walking and sightseeing.

An interesting experience from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Hungarian Wine expert. We learnt about why Hungarian Wine is rarely found in the UK or other countries. Some enjoyable wines to sample along with cheeses and charcuterie.

Great setting for a tasting. Guide did a great job with the wines and explaining things. The charcuterie provided, while of great quality, was a bit lacking in quantity, especially at this price point.

Tomas was excellent. Very informative and fun! I never had Hungarian wines before and was fun to learn about them. They were delicious. Very well organized. Charcuterie boards had delicious cheese and meats! Make sure you try the sweet wine at the end. I’m not a fan of sweet wine but this one will surprise you!

Extremely enjoyable experience in a character-filled cellar in the heart of Budapest. Thomas led the group on an informative journey detailing the history of viticulture in Hungary. The wines presented were delicious and varied, truly highlighting the different varietals and flavor profiles available from Hungarian producers. The charcuterie and cheeses accompanying the wines were authentic products from local artisanal farms, and paired wonderfully with the wines. Definitely recommend investing in this experience, and will be ordering wines again and again for delivery to the US!
