Hungarian Parliament Audio Guided Tour

Buy tickets through the official Parliament site. The markup from Viator - and other 3rd party resellers - is exorbitant.

Beautiful inside but not worth $180 USA dollars for 2 people & 50 min. Text from ticket holder over & over said don’t be late. Be there 30 minutes early. They were late & our tickets said 2:30 but really were for 2:45. So confusing for everyone waiting.

It is not worth it. Nothing special inside compare to the other venues at proximity

A tour of the Parliament Building in Budapest is a must-do activity. You can't see the inside without a tour and it must be booked in advance. It is a stunning building and you don't want to miss it.

Pricey for such a short tour and not a lot of time for pictures at each stop. It was not what I had expected

Too expensive, better to book through parliament directly. There were even tickets to purchase on the same day of your visit

The entry is timed and each room is timed. The experience is overpriced for the amount of time in the building.

All what this company is doing is buying tickets in bulk, which stops the general public at buying at normal prices. The tickets are 7000HUF for adult EU citizen, 3500 HUF for EU child, 14000HUF for non EU citizen. I was charged 39335HUF for two EU citizens adults and one child, which should cost 17500HUF. They are making 124% profit for buying tickets in bulk and selling them. They don't do anything except of bulk buying the tickets and selling them with exceptionally good profit. They don't come on the tour with you and even have the cheek to give you the tickets with original value!

The Guided Tour of the Hungarian Parliament was very good. The premium we paid to book this tour through TripAdvisor/Viator was incredibly exorbitant. There were many other participants who confirmed that it was impossible to book the tour through the official website, so we had no choice other than pay what amounted to a 14X premium over getting tickets on site the day of the tour IF they were available. The Viator guides added very little value to the tour. The Parliament itself was wonderful!

Very easy experience through Viator. We received lots of communication and instruction, the operators showed up on time and we got our parliament tickets. Would definitely recommend.

The actual tour is good but the organisers made you come 30 mins early to take your name and then you needed to wait and then be given your tickets….. madness

Over rated compared to other places to visit which are free....the outside and around the site are much more impressive than the tour of the inside

What an incredibly beautiful place! Nothing like it! A must see in Budapest. However, when we went, the two lifts were unavailable, and it is a 132-step climb to the fourth floor where the tour takes place. So, if you are physically challenged, please check ahead of time that you will be able to do the tour.

One of the better tours Ive taken in Europe, well organized, Audio in your preferred language, the parliament building is beautiful

The tour was well-organized and moved fast. I was hoping for insider stories and historic political scandals, but the guides stuck closely to a brochure-like script. Also, there were no photographs allowed in the interesting room, which was a bummer. It would have been nice to tie various government leadership to the culture changes of the country.

Very convenient! Girls are very helpful and speak great English! Be sure to follow email instructions! They have it timed out nicely!!

Beautiful building. The signage for the tour is not the best. Go to side of visitors center away from the river.

This is a good audio tour. It is comprehensive and thorough, and it is a wonderful building. I would advise however to try to book through the Parliament's official website. The site opens up dates several weeks in advance, and is less costly than using a third-party booking, but you have to check every day and act quickly.

The tour was good! it was an audio guide tour run by Parliament itself…Viator organized the purchase of our tickets which was helpful!

This is strictly a group that purchases access tickets, hands them to you and leaves. A middle man. The tour is the standard one anyone can get themselves provided by Parliament. The tour seller doesnt do the tour or stay with you. I had several confusing messages about arrival times and one the day before tour was rude and incomplete. "Arrive on time or you wont go, you are responsible to comply with our instructions, arrive 30 min early, look for sign". Didnt say what sign would say. When I replied to the message I had a better detailed reply to arrive 15 min early and ignore all previous messages as well what sign would say. Save money, buy tickets directly. Tour provided by Parliament and was great. This group is not.

It was a beautiful building. My listening device didn’t work well. Too expensive in my opinion. Saw a better price on Get Your Guide after already purchasing non refundable Viator tickets.

I made a mistake with the date when booking so I have not yet done this tour. Unfortunately the system doesn't allow for amendments so Viator kindly asked the Operator to accept my booking with the wrong date when I do the tour later this month. I hope all goes to plan. I also forgot to use Hungarian currency when booking so have been charged a rather large conversion rate to GBP. I hope to write a more positive review when I have actually done the tour.

Matthew is passionate and extremely knowledgeable and his tour of the Buda castle complex was superb! We would highly recommend him if you’re looking for a tour that’s a level up from the ordinary tours. He’s also very easy to get along with.

Tour itself is fine, but the mark-up above door price being charged is rather high for the convenience provided.

Reps met on time. Quick verification and ticketing process. 45 min tour. Good audio. Did not feel rushed. Beautiful!

We were quite disappointed that this tour did not offer value for money and felt quite disorganised. Instructions to meet the guide outside were not clear, communication then re next steps also unclear. Within Parliament access felt quite restricted and we had hoped to have seen more. Compared to other experiences we felt this was a lot of money for the experience we had.

This is a great site to see but it is way overpriced. Maybe if you buy your tickets directly from the government site it would be a better value? Picking up the ticket from the TripAdvisir/Viator representative who stands outside 15 minutes before the tour starts wasn’t hard but also not as straightforward as having the ticket sent directly to your email.

Overall, the Parliament tour itself was great, worthy to visit but I don’t think using an agency is necessary.

We were at meeting point 30 minutes before as instructed and no one there until the tour time! Then process to check you in and then wait again until representative went to get your tickets! Once inside the audio tour was wonderful.

It would be better if the email about ticket meeting place said that entrance tickets are handed out upon arrival.

Do not but these paid way over the odds, use official parliament website . I paid approx£65 a ticket from these guys that would have cost me approx £35 if used official site. What a total rip off and con as they only put you in the official queue so you gain nothing

Looks like pay double the official price (from the official website) is the only way to get to Hungarian Parliament. It is OK. Company representatives told us to meet 30 min before the advertised time. But they came up 15 min late. Many people started to worry because official representatives of visitor center don't know (or they don't want to know) about this type of arrangements. Other than that, tour was on time, very interesting. We liked it

The audio tour was great! Answered my questions before they were asked. The woodwork, stained glass, paintings and rugs were spectacular!

Convoluted procedure to obtain tickets: meet during 15- minute window, get physical ticket afterwards. Suggest getting digital tickets instead at time of purchase. The tour was limited to a small portion of the building. Too much unnecessary audio detail, especially in the Dome portion; this could have been provided via a one-page document or online.

Well worth a visit . Don’t forget to pre purchase your tickets as this frequently sells out . Absolutely beautiful inside .
