These are beautiful locations and the tour provides reliable transportation that would be difficult to organize alone. Guided narration needs improving

Fun and relaxing tour with our guide Vera who is accomodating and knowledgable. Vera made it fun with the tourists singjng on our way back.
I did the Danube Bend Daytrip (going to Esztergom, Visegrad and Szentendre), Vera was the perfect guide - she gave us lots of information and was friendly and approachable. The driver Krisztian was also very good at his job. I had a great time!
I enjoyed this trip. The guide Vera was knowledgeable and friendly. She had a difficult task of having to translate into English AND Spanish, but did a wonderful job and I could easily understand her English.
It was a great experience. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. I highly recommend this tour.
Probable the best tour to discover Budapest! Ben, an outstanding English speaking guide, lead us on a combined bus and walking tour through Buda and later Pest. The tour is well designed to capture history, architecture, legends, and culminated with the Parliament visit that exceeded our expectations! Despite being a quite large group, he took good care of us, offered explanations and answers to our questions, in a well respected schedule. A time well spent in Budapest!
This was a good tour to see the main sights of Budapest and helpful to get around on the coach. Our tour guide Mikkhail was very helpful and informative giving us some good background on different places we visited including Heroes Square and the Buda Var area and allowing time on our own. The instructors to get into the Parliament building and audio tour were very helpful. A good trip to get to see some of the main attractions in Budapest.
Vela is an experienced guide and very professional. She is 73 years old and still so active ! It was a comfortable trip and we even got to enter Slovakia. A good mix of scenery, castle and small village.
A great tour, the guide was informative and interacted with the tour participants throughout the day. He was exceptional in translating the information, in 3 languages. Good 3-village excursion in the Danube Bend, visiting Esztergom, Visegrad and Szentendre and crossing into Slovakia. Very picturesque and the views were fabulous.
Cut time short at first stop, the castle. We arrived at 10:31, and told to be back at 11:10 only 39 minutes due to the Spanish tour guide cutting it short as she was also in charge of us, the English guided tour...when asked why we where told because she was not guiding her group up the stairs to show and guide the upstairs area, apparently could not deal with stairs....ya you are a guide and incapable of guiding you need to find another job, maybe a librarian. So us, the English group, rushed back at 11:10 and guess what, the Spanish guide and her group not there! Came trotting up at 11:15... At the Cathedral stop we where told we are not doing the treasury and balcony areas, no time, then ushered out side to once again look at the river and told we had 15/20 minutes outside on our own! Why not see the treasury? We had to sneak back in through the exit to go see the treasury on our own, crazy stuff, can not explain why the guides just sat in one spot in the church chatting away about everything and never walked anyone around... Now the "lunch stop", once again the English group(us) was there waiting at a closed up bus at the designated meeting time and no one in sight.... So about 10 minutes LATE the guides, bus driver, and the Spanish group stroll up like nothing......turned into a big waste of time that we could have spent more at the first 2 stops! The "artist" village has maybe 2 or 3 true artist shops and all wall to wall cheap souvenir shops, nothing to write home about! Buildings are not anything special, simply not worth visiting. While not the excursion fault, this is just a tourist trap and nothing else. Overall do not recommend this excursion at all, certainly not with these guides. While our guide Christina was very pleasant and full of history and information, pretty well talked non stop, some critical and usual information explaining the days itinerary specifics, toilet stops, and prepare for arrival at a stop was never given. Rent a car for a day and go see the castle/cathedral if u want to see those, but frankly there are better day trips, especially if time limited, like Bled.....
Maximo was great, he’s very knowledgeable and made the whole experience really interesting and nice. He speaks perfect Spanish and English so we were able to truly enjoy the whole tour and get some very useful tips and interesting facts about Hungary past and present. Would definitely recommend it as a great full day of fun. The castle, basilica and towns are beautiful.
Great tour to hit all points of interest, for short period of time great for first fimers6
We have booked a two week holiday in 4 different countries (Central and Eastern Europe) and this was our favourite activity of the trip! Our guide Balázs was engaging, informative and funny (in at least 3 languages). Due to the weather, we couldn't go on the cruise back to Budapest, but this is out of their control and the bus is air conditioned and comfy. For the money, this trip is well worth it, even without the cruise. The three locations are magnificent in their own way and the guide provides an incredible amount of information in each. 10/10, a must if you want to see some other parts of Hungary besides Budapest!
Pretty good and interesting tour. Unfortunately we haven't possibility to travel by boat via Danube because of lo water level. Rate 10/10 👍
It’s a full day, but lots to see and do. Be prepared to walk and climb! You get to learn the history of the country
Picky up on time from our hotel but we walked back to our hotel which was not too far away from the Intercontinentanl Hotel drop off! Yolanda was our guide throughout this tour, friendly, helpful and full of knowledge of all the places we visited along the route. Went across Slovakia briefly and returned via same bridge we cross and view the country from Hungary. Most possibly a land that once was part of Hungary before the first WW1 after the Treaty of Treanon? Lunch was up on a overlooking a ruin castle, and saw the Danube Bend on the way down. Definitely a trip to recommend.
Kristina was a fantastic guide. We learned a huge amount about Hungary and Budapest
Everything was wondetful. Our guíde was excellent, knowledgable and relaxed. The only thing I would change was the meal. It would be better to have the option to go away on our own for lunch instead of us all having lunch together. The logistics of trying to cater for a large group means the experience was the one negative of the day.
Very interesting tour with a nice guide balanced timewise good viewpoints. And good driver. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I really enjoyed getting to see points of interest outside of Budapest! It really gives you perspective of what it’s like outside of the big city! Vera was a phenomenal tour guide!
It was a nice opportunity to see some smaller villages outside of Budapest! We enjoyed the river cruise on the way back. .
I had an enchanting time on the Danube Bend Tour with CRB Cityrama Kft! Our guide Veronica was experienced and truly a Great Guide, bringing Hungarian history to life. Esztergom’s cathedral was breathtaking, and the view from Visegrád's hill was simply unforgettable. Szentendre felt like stepping into a fairy tale with its charming streets and beautiful baroque houses. The boat ride back to Budapest was the perfect end to this once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you're looking for a memorable day filled with culture and stunning sights, I highly recommend this tour!
This Danube Bend day trip was very well organized, covering Visegrád, Esztergom, and Szentendre smoothly within a day. The guide’s explanations were detailed and insightful, adding a lot of depth to each stop. With beautiful weather throughout the trip, everything felt even more enjoyable. The scenery along the Danube was stunning, and the overall experience was relaxed and seamless.
Professional nice last part too touristic.good choce of guide good restaurant
Excellent day trip. Our guide Matheus switched effortlessly between English & Spanish to give us a full history of Hungary & the towns we were visiting. We had sufficient time at each stop for sightseeing. I can definitely recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the tour tremendously., however we were disappointed that the Estergom Cathedral was undergoing renovations, so didn’t see it in its full glory. Our guide Vera was very informative. too.
This was an awful experience: bus broke down. No washrooms. Lunch at 4:00 pm , guide spoke mainly Spanish, description of excursion was not as depicted. It was a total waste of time and money. The cathedral was under construction and we were not advised in advance. Definitely a do not book in my opinion.
Well organised itinerary. Guide was very organised and informative. Also very friendly and helpful. Would recommend
The guide was rude from the start. Had zero desire to answer any basic questions. We didn't even get her name. She had no empathy for my father who was slower because he uses a cane. They did no preplanning around getting out of the city, even though the bike race had been scheduled for months so they should've known about that. They advertised going to the church, but the entire inside was filled with scaffolding for the last two years and they didn't tell us that. At the first stop she didn't even wait for my family to get up to the line to get entrance so we had to argue with the guard that we were actually with the tour that went through. She just didn't care. Then, at the church instead of telling us where to go, which did not need a ticket for entrance, we had to wait 15 minutes for her to get into an elevator to come to the top to tell us we didn't need a ticket. Next, It was supposed to be English and Spanish, but it was clearly Spanish first and with more detail. She was disrespectful at times. And I've been on a lot of Viator tours, more than many people. This woman was terrible and she made a bad trip worse. I would definitely avoid this trip with this female guide.
The trip description did not match the itinerary. There wasn’t a boat trip. We were advised that the boat would continue through September. In actuality it doesn’t operate on Mondays. So no boat trip. We were dropped off at a different location than where we started. And the Grayline bus air conditioning wasn’t working. Very hot and uncomfortable.
Excellent with a wonderful guide. Great day in spite of the rain. Guide paid attention to the needs of everyone
Excellent guide and tour, really enjoyed the day and as I said the tour guide was fantastic, well run excursion and value for money
Excellent day out to the Danube bends by mini bus from Budapest. Stopped at Esztergom, Visegrad and Szentendre. Returned to Budapest by boat, although that’s not every day.
The EUrama tour started poorly with a vehicle that used the extra seating normally folded away in the luggage area. These seats (more suited to young children) were totally inadequate and uncomfortable for adults let alone for the aged. There was no leg room, the accessibility required gymnastics skill that 70 year olds do not possess. My arthritic wife could not sit with suitable back support. Perhaps all passengers need to be questioned about seating requirements before being allowed on the bus. Better still don’t use the extra seating. Another issue was the poor visibility from extra seating seats. We had access to barely a third of the window space of the other passengers from only one side. The lunch was tasteless and overcooked. Desert however was a delight. Only water was offered with the meal. The basilica is under renovation and very little could be seen. No information was given about the renovations before the trip. There was a distinct smell of concrete dust in the air. No medical warning was given. Perhaps a better use of time would be to provide adequate browsing time in Szentendre. The artist village was quaint and worth more than the cursory glance that it received. Our tour guide was great and was very knowledgeable helpful.
Unfortunately, I had a very underwhelming experience with this tour, and I know that I wasn't the only one in the group not impressed with their poor service. Essentially, Gray had a tour guide that did the tour both in English and Spanish at the same time. The guide was not very keen on answering questions, neither would give us the chance to ask. The guide seemed she was more interested in engaging in prolonged conversation with the driver, instead. 1. Esztergom Basilica is currently being refurbished and there's not much to see in there but the panoramic view. 2. Visegrad Castle was nice with a beautiful panoramic view but due to the rain we also felt compelled to have a meal at their chosen restaurant (I bet they are paid commission for taking the tour there) for 1.5 hs, which could be much better enjoyed as free time in Szentendre, which was the highlight of the trip and had plenty of restaurants to choose. Now, the "cherry on the cake" is that the tour guide will not go anywhere with the group, explaining inside the "attractions". Once you get to Szentendre you also find out that you won't be going back to Budapest on the private coach with aircon but on a "public" boat among the general public and once again, without any commentary or guide tour once you are onboard. I would not recommend this tour to a friend.
What an unpleasant tour guide. I think her name is Judit, a blonde lady. I don't want to judge people, but if I am paying $100 for a day, I don't want to spend with a tour guide who is uninterested and lazy. She did her short commentary in English and Spanish on the bus, and talked to the driver the whole way. She doesn't engage with guests and treats them like they are obstacles for her. She complained about the wages being the lowest in Hungary among EU countries, I was just surprised that she has a job as a tour guide and gets paid with this performance in any EU country. The tour was not designed well either. The lunch place is middle of nowhere, you are stuck to eat there. I went to the bathroom in the restaurant first and it was pretty dirty, so I couldn't eat lunch. Also, the tour uses the bus 90% of the time and the boat is a public transport, so you can take it on your own. We had Ben as a guide on our city tour with the same company, and we had fantastic time. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case this time and I cannot recommend this tour to anyone. Total waste of my money&time in my opinion.
Our guide Vera was lovely. But having the tour in English and Spanish is a disaster. It is exhausting for the guide, exhausting for the listeners. We found the commentary difficult to understand, our guide had a strong accent, and constantly switching back and forth in the languages didn't help. Also, we should go straight to Szentendre and have lunch there, instead of the place we went for a whole hour with nothing else to do nearby. I'm sure CityRama is collecting a commission from this restaurant. I would say the tour company Cityrama puts profits ahead of the tourists' experience. We had 40 minutes in Szentendre thanks to the tour company's forced one hour lunch stop at an isolated restaurant. I would not recommend this tour. At least try to find a company that gives the tour in ONE LANGUAGE. You'll be glad you did.
reasonably well organised day trip, we visited nice towns, even stepped on Slovakian soil. The only issue was that we arrived too early at Esztergom’s Basilica and we wasted an invaluable hour waiting for the mass to finish but such things happen. We loved Visegrad Castle and Szentendre.
It was a great day, with so much history and beautiful sights! The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The coach driver was lovely too. The stop for lunch was amazing. There are some steps involved at the castle so be prepared and also have a euro for the rest stop at the Cathedral. The boat cruise back was a relaxing way to end the day. Highly recommend this wonderful day out.
Great way to see the Hungarian countryside and Mihály was a fantastic guide with amazing enthusiasm and unlimited knowledge which he shared with us.
Nit really for us, it was nice for the photo stops and the guide was knowledgeable, but small things let this excursion down. Ie the lunch their was only one place on offer, would have been better at the 3rd stop and longer in the last town, this had many more places to eat inc traditional chimney cake and lovely coffee shops. Their was a reasonable amount of walking but the view were worth it, just take your time. The boat trip was a huge let down advertised as a clam quite trip nope! It smell of petrol badly hard to breath after an hour and the boat was so full people were standing. I wouldn't recommend this trip it wasn't value for money.
Good tour - lovely views and very informative. A bit frustrating that our tour was a mix of English and Spanish, so we had to stand around and listen to the Spanish translation at each stop as well as the English translation. Would also prefer to have had more time in Sentendre and had the lunch stop there. Also we had to go away and come back to the church because it was closed for mass - I would have thought the tour organizers would know/check this before the trip?
Vera and Antonio were awesome. Vera was excellent in switching languages to explain to us. First in English, then in Spanish. Her native tongue is Hungarian, so that made it even more special. A perfect day!
During the excursion we stopped at each place (Esztergom, Sturovo, Visegrad, restaurant, Szentendre, boat) for a short time between 15min and one hour. This was not a problem for me, as I visited Szentendre before several times on my own, and also Visegrad once, while in Esztergom the church was in restoration. The whole experience to see all together along the Danube was the main focus and the timing of the guide (Istvan) was great. There was also time to buy souvenirs. Thanks to the audios to take with we could also not get lost when going a bit to the side. The tour was in both Spanish (main) and English. The food in the restaurant was very good. We were also helped by the luck of good weather, unlike the next day. The boat to Budapest was rather full, I catched the last place to sit on the deck. The boat is doing a change of course so that the palace of Parliament can be well seen and photographed.
Great experience with a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. The traditional Hungarian restaurant was delicious.
I enjoyed the tour despite the weather being cool and rainy. The tour guide gave us lots of background information which I appreciated.
Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and in spite of the weather, it was lovely to see something of the Hungarian countryside. I’m not very interested in churches, especially those built within the last 100 years, but the town of Estragom looked interesting in spite of the drizzle. The arty village was nice, though many shops were closed, it was February. My main problem was that there was a lot of walking- and hilly walking at that. There should be a warning that visigrad is at the top of a steep hill, and the village was also a cobbled and hilly walk.
Danube Bend experience was wonderful. Added bonus was the crossover into Slovakia, so now I can add a new country to my list of countries visited. The 3 villages visited all had their individual charm.
Such an amazing experience! Our guide did a phenomenal job with the history and translations. I speak both English and Spanish and was amazed by how he did both so well. The pace of the day was great as well. Overall this was a very lovely experience!
The view in Visegrad's Castle, but the time invested was not enough. It is a pity, because is the BEST place of the tour
