Christine was very knowledgeable about the area. She told us interesting things about past and present. By the end of the tour she felt like a dear friend. Our lunch/dinner was wonderful She told stories and interesting details during the ride that made our trip memorable. If we were here a little longer we would have booked her for another trip! She was a real gem! We learned a lot about the Budapest area. We would definitely recommend her for future trips!!

Itinerary
Head first for the historical town of Esztergom, Hungary’s former capital and the seat of its Catholic church. Here, visit the imperious Esztergom Basilica, a massive green-domed edifice that’s Hungary’s biggest church and visible for miles around. Go inside to admire the interior with its Renaissance motifs and paintings.
Explore the restored chambers of Visegrád Royal Palace, a seat of royal power during the 1400s, and visit the walled 13th-century citadel, a hilltop fortress-palace that once held Hungary’s crown jewels. Savor the bird’s-eye views of the Danube Bend from the ramparts, and then refuel with a delicious 3-course lunch, drink, and coffee at a charming river-view restaurant.
Travel south to Szentendre, a historical town overlooking the Danube that's known as an artists’ community. Absorb the relaxed Mediterranean-style atmosphere on a stroll through the cobbled streets and admire the prettily painted baroque houses, churches, and museums. Relax over coffee and cake (own expense) at one of the quaint cafes, and enjoy time to visit one of Szentendre's museums or shop for arty souvenirs in the enticing gift shops and galleries.

Christine Teplan was a fantastic ,generous lady guide. With lots of historical knowledge Ge'za was a smooth driver and also very polite and friendly
Absolutely loved our private tour of the Danube Bend - went to several look out places, did some short but good walking around, and learned so much from our very knowledgeable tour guide. We aren't big eaters so lunch was bigger than normal but we were able to order less.
Tour gets you beyond Budapest to see the countryside and interesting sites near the Danube River Bend. Great experience with skilled driver (Lazlo) and expert tour guide ( Christine). They met us at our hotel promptly when agreed, worked through the traffic changes and congestion from Hungary’s National Day holiday and as we travelled Christina talked about the historic events and places. She is extremely knowledgeable on all matters of Hungary’s long history, the many matters of intrigue, scandal and personal sacrifice. We stopped and had an excellent lunch and was returned to the hotel feeling like we had been in the presence of a real historian all day. Highly recommend this small group focused tour and these particular people to get a detailed lesson in Hungarian history.
Amazing day with Christine as a guide and Gabriel driver. Informative tour and great scenery. Lunch was over the top good.
Christina Teplan was our guide for 2 full days & we learned ALL the Hungarian history. Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly, would highly recommend her and our driver Lazlo. We would prefer other lunch restaurant options - not traditional Hungarian every day. Only thing I would change!! Wonderful experience thank you! Kasi!!
Zoltan was an excellent guide. He took the trouble to provide rich insights of the Hungarian history. The castle and basilica were worth the time.
Our guide, Christine Teplain was friendly, curteous & very knowledgable on the history of Hungary. The van was spacoous & driver Atila was also friendly and both.
Zoltan took very good care of us throughout the journey. He was generous in sharing the history of the spots we visited, and was flexible to accommodate our requests about the itinerary.
Thank you Christine and Laszlo for a wonderful and informative day. Christine was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and was very pleasant and kind. Laszlo was a careful driver very courteous helping us in and out of the clean and comfortable van. We would highly recommend this tour, lunch was amazing the deer stew was delicious thank you Christine for the recommendation.
our guide Katerina was amazing, very knowledgable. she made our day fun by showing us all the sites with time to wander and take photos. She did not overpower us with too many dates and details but was able to answer any questions we had. Included lunch was amazing ...alot more than we expected. Our driver was also very good Great excursion
It was a wonderful day with Christine our guide and Norbert our driver. Both of them are so kind, helpful and very professional. We learnt so many things and it is really a must do when you are in Hungary
Spectacular views of the Danube Bend. I did this tour as part of my holidays to Hungary and support of the Portugal National team who were based from Budapest. This tour was expertly guided by Balazs. He is a top driver with expert knowledge of Hungary and key locations to visit. The views that Balazs showed me were stunning.
We were having a lot of fun with Michael to be our private tour guide to go to the Danube Bend. He was knowledgeable (was able to answer any questions asking by my husband), friendly with a lot of patients. He was also a talented mobile photographer and made this whole trip very fun. Photos below taken by him of this trip.
We took this very interesting and informative tour on December 27. It was a sheer delight to be guided by Christine who is very knowledgeable of the rich cultural heritage of her country. She was also extremely pleasant, patient and kind to us. We were a group of travellers ranging from age 16 to 80...
We did the Danube river tour with Eva Pfeiffer the guide and Mick the driver. Thet gave us a great tour and both were extremely helpful and kind. They were also very knowledgable and their English was good. Will recommend.
