We did a 4 hr walking tour with K A’kos on our second day in Budapest. Just my wife and me and A’kos our guide. He adjusted the pace to suit us, and per her request we did not use any public transport. A’kos’s profound knowledge of Hungarian history , culture and language (He is a native born son!) allowed us to more fully understand these influences on present day Budapest. I always like to learn some of the language of the countries we visit, and again his excellent English proficiency and teaching ability helped me with my Hungarian 101 : thank you, thank you very much, yes, no, please etc. A’kos just really accommodated to our pace and cultural interests. There was never a dull moment. I will seek him out again should we be so fortunate as to return to Budapest.

We had Dalia as a guide for our four hour tour and she was awesome! Not only was she incredibly knowledgeable about every landmark and back story, she was patient and kind about our picture-taking and bathroom visits and many many questions. Some guides know information, and Dalia certainly does, but what makes her special is that she's an excellent storyteller.

Traveling with another couple, my husband and I enjoyed so much our tour guide, Christe Teplan and the driver, Lazlo. We did two 4-hour tours with them on consecutive days. Though it took us some effort to understand her English, she taught us much about the history of Hungary related to all the sites we saw and she also helped us understand what life in Hungary is like currently. She is a Hungarian native and her heart for her country shows. Highly recommend spending the money for a tour guide like Christe and for the convenience of having a driver. She advised us as well on other sites or things we could do on our own. So much to see and so much to do...we got great "bang for our bucks" in securing Christe and Lazlo!

On April 12th we had a walking tour with Christine Tepla'er. Our driver was Laslo. Both were terrific. Christine showed us the area and told us interesting facts that we would not have otherwise known. She is very personable and very informative. We had a problem with our flight out of Budapest. Christine and laslo were very helpful and arranging for lost love to drive us to Frankfort to make our connection there. They went above and beyond the Call of Duty to be sure the end of our trip was successful. Many thanks to both of them.
As a couple, we had a 4 hour Budapest tour which was so good that we asked to extend to 5 hours. Our guide, Zoltan, and our driver were both extremely helpful and made this experience very smooth and pleasant. Zoltan knew all the hidden spots for great photos of the main sights and was highly knowledgeable about the city’s history, while also being very easy to chat with more generally about life in Budapest and Hungary. All in all, a top notch service that we would highly recommend to anyone wanting to see as much as possible in one day.

Our professional business group was guided on a nearly 4-hour tour by Christine arranged over our hotel (Moments) on Andrassy utca. She was particularly knowledgeable about the historic economic development of the city in the 19th century, which was a focus of our group. We were met at our hotel on time and dropped off back at our hotel by our brilliant guide Christine. She was there 10 minutes early with a lovely smile on her face. We chose a 4 hour walking tour but with no particular agenda. All we asked is for her to show us the real and meaningful sights. Christine has a real affinity for the area and the people and this was apparent during the tour. We learned about the history and the present with the serious and sad history and also interesting and funny sights and stories. The Dohany Street synagogue was the highlight and took our breath away. The other synagogues had their own beauty and significance. Christine shared some wonderful insight into the synagogue and the adjoining museum. We stopped at a coffee shop at our request and chatted about our lives and families and the local population. Guiding is more than pointing out sights and reciting history and Christine has this ability. This is a wonderful part of the city and worth seeing. Ask Christine to guide you.

Starting at our hotel we walked took a cab and finally the underground to get around and see some of the important sites in Budapest and in Pest.
