This was a really great experience! Zoltan was fantastic & so patient with a novice! He made sure that both of us got the photos we were looking for & how to get said photos!

Zoltan was a great guide to shoot with. He knows his city well and took me to some great spots where the crowds were sparse but allowed for good composition. He is a good conversationalist. I enjoyed my photo walk and would recommend this tour.
Zoltan is an excellent guide, was over punctual and just thought of everything. Our photowalk started with a refresher on photo basics using examples and the corresponding settings. The tour went on foot through different neighborhoods and was very entertaining. Zoltan responded to my questions and wishes at all times and offered a program ideally suited to the external conditions. Can recommend him and his tour to everyone without hesitation.
Zoltan met with us and after a few minutes conversation picked up on our wishes. He gave us historical background of our subject matter and guided us to architecture and sculpture that were exactly what we hoped to find.
Thank you so much Zoltan for offering a custom photo tour to help me scout out locations so I could photograph my friends before their wedding day. Your ideas were great to find some little special areas with less tourists and also trying to photograph things from different angles to add more interest in the popular touristic shots! You were so helpful and flexible when I needed to change the day which I really appeciate. Thanks again, I would not hesitate to recommend Zoltan, he has a great eye for photos but also amazing knowledge of the city!
Do you wanna see Budapest through your camera? Zoli is the best person to do it with. You will get info of Budapest and have unique photos of places of interest. 10 out of 10!
Zoltan is a great photographer, with his enthusiasm, professionalism and kindness the programm he offers is just great and absolutely to recommend. Thank you Zoltan for the great experience!!
Was a really enjoyable walk for me as an absolute beginner. Zoltán helped me to see the things from another perspective through the camera, also he took us to good spots from where we could do almost "artistic" photos. I would recommend his tours for everyone, even if you aren't interested in photography. I wasn't neither, but thanks for Zoltan I started to enjoy it. Beside the photo technics he also knows a lot about Budapest.
Zoltan is an amazing guide. Not only was he patient in explaining photography in a understandable way, knew the best night spots to take pictures, but also has a vast knowledge of history of this amazing city. I highly recommend doing this tour if your vacation is in need of some great pictures.
Budapest Photo Walks was good for going to locations that are photogenic in Budapest. Our sunset tour began about 15 minutes before sunset, whereas most sunset tours begin at least one hour prior to sunset. This is to take advantage of the soft light as the sun goes down (see the photo for the tour). The result is most the tour took place at night, resulting in photos that are high contrast--black skies against a lit buildings, bridges and skyline. What makes the photo shown good is the sky is blue and not pitch black. This may be an issue of taste; clearly, my preference would have been to start around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. and go through 9 p.m. for my photos. This is the first sunset tour I've taken that began so close to sunset, and I have taken many photo tours and workshops over the past 26 years. I found this tour simply a means to learn about locations that you can return to on your own when the light is good.
Excenf way to discover the gems of Budapest, one of Europe's most impressive cities. History and natural beauty everywhere! Professional knowledgeable guidance. Unforgettable places. Highly recommend this program to all those who are planning to connect recreation with class!
Zoltan is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took us to a few spots in the city and pointed out other places to check out during our visit. I used most of his recommendations on the following days. I'm a beginner photographer and Zoltan was very patient with me. He made sure I left Budapest with at least great shots of the Liberty Bridge and the Hungarian Parliament Building. Highly recommend this tour.
Zoltán was very flexible and accommodating as I had to change the date and time only 2 hours before the tour was due to start. The tour itself was really good and Zoltán is really knowledgeable and passionate about photography and really helps with making sure you get the most out of the picture your taking. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who like photography as Budapest is a beautiful city
Zoltan is an amazing person to meet! I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to take better photos, from beginners to professional photographers, and the ones who want to see Budapest from interesting angles and also people who want to know more about the history of Budapest! I took more sessions with him to cover both night and day photography. It was the best photography workshops I've ever had! Zoltan was very knowledgable, experienced, easy-going and extremely informative and helpful. I learned a lot about some of the principals and techniques for composition, creativity, night photography, portraits, lightroom software, etc. Also, he is full of information about the sights and is an amazing tour guide!
Zoltán knows not only plenty of hidden gems in Budapest but he has a very nice personality so the experience was absolutely perfect!
I highly recommend this to anyone who's interested in photography and wants to go beyond the usual touristic spots. Zoltán showed me some great places to take pictures from at night and also gave some very good tips on the camera settings. In addition to that, he let me borrow his tripod for free, which made things a lot easier for me. It lasted about 2 hours in which we mostly walked and occasionally took the tram to different spots. Zoltán also explained the history of the iconic places that we passed by and recommended other spots I could visit on my own to take more pictures.
My experience with Zoltan was fantastic! With was very easy to communicate with him. In order to get the best photos, he suggested the best time to start the experience and made an itinerary accordingly to my expectations. Through the experience his photography tips were spot on and I've learned a lot about the Hungarian history, he always had interesting facts to share about the places we visited to shoot. That made the tour special!! On the end he also gave me tips on spots I could visit on my own, and the best times to see them! Besides that, after the experience was over, he was he was kind enough to reply to me when I had doubts about the best way to book a tour to the parliament! I highly recommend Zoltan if you want to discover places you wouldn't discover on your own to shoot and to learn about Hungarian history!
We chose a daytime photo tour and it was amazing, one of the best experiences I've ever had on a city photo walk. The photo workshop was not only about technical info on photography but kinda tutorial of how to see the things around us. It works for beginners and more experienced photographers as well. Also, a great knowledge: stories, tips about Budapest and sites, restaurants, culture, sightseeing, etc. That's a pity we didn't have time to repeat it with the night photo tour. Highly recommended for all.
Fantastic experience! If you are looking to make gorgeous pictures of Budapest as well as explore the city, look no further, this is for you. Zoltan took me to spots I would really never have found on my own, offering unique perspectives on different landmarks. He is an experienced photographer and his tips and suggestions were spot on. Highly recommended experience, both for beginners and more seasoned photographers.
While visiting Budapest I wanted to bring back home some nice night photos of the city. SInce I'm still just learning the use of my new camera and being an amateur at photography I wanted some assistance and I found Zoltan's photo tour on my Airbnb site. He managed to teach me in limited time some basic night time photo photography basics. I managed to take home a few photos that I was happy with , which I would have not ben able to do on my own. Zoltan also shared some great historical info on the city which we did not know about. Overall great couple of hours . Zoltan very patient and supportive!
Walking and photographing was an amazing experience with Zoltan. My kids got a fantastic day and they were constantly pushing me to repeat this tour again. We have been introduced to some hidden, undiscovered games for a photographer in Budapest. We got not only good insides of the life and customs of local people, but also very useful tips on how to take high quality photos. We are back to Asia, but we all hope to see you Zoli!!!
This unusual photo walk is great for all longing for a photo tour, a sightseeing and a gorgeous guide, and all in one programme. The Budapest photo walk with Zoltán was excellent to get me know the hidden visual secrets of this extraordinary city, as well as the stories behind the attractions. I've received technical aid in shooting during the tour also. I am a phot fan but a begginer so I much appreciated the crash course in photography provided by Zoltán. All in all: highly recomended!
Zoltán took me to the most unusual photo tour, showing the weirdest buildings of Budapest. (E.g. the extremely kitschy National Theater). I am not an easy client as a university professor, but even my multilayered questions could not corner him: answers there were for all of them. Walking with Zoltán was a sheer joy, as he shared his ample knowlede about the buildings, about the best photo-approach and about the Hungarian society. The photo walk is long but it deserves continuous attention, as there are no redundant elements. Sightseeing, professional training, lifelong learning (and a good meal at the end) all in one pack. Great!
It was a great experience. I learned a lot about photography, and the beauty of Budapest. It was different to see the city.
It was a very interesting walk, Zoltan knows every secret place in Budapest. For example Törley champagne cellar!
Both Zoltan and the tour are truly unique. He knows a lot about his city and its history, and he will show you a few little-known places if you wish (it was not my first visit to Hungary, so I wanted to see sites that are not among the most popular tourist attractions). Zoltan is also an expert in photography techniques, and he is extremely patient, a very good teacher, indeed! I am not a professional photographer at all, but I could shoot some really characteristic photos of the city. This tour is highly recommended to people with (or without) a camera.
We had an amazing tour with Zoltán based on an unconventional theme called weird places in Budapest. As being locals we are quite familiar with our city but Zoltán was able to show us some really unique places we hadn't known before. His stories gave us a fascinating insight into the history of these weird buildings and statues. Also, we were impressed by his professionalism and helpfulness. Highly recommended!
The tour through Budapest was amazing! Zoltan is a very engaged guide and showed us places in Budapest we have not seen before! He is also a great photographer who has some great perspectives of the various sites, helps one look at locations from amazing angles. It was an unforgettable experience to do a tour with him! Definately recommended!
Zoltan gives a great experience with this photo tour. He gave us basic instruction and was able to help us take amazing pictures and also taught us about history. I would definitely recommend doing this amazing tour with Zoltan, well worth the money!
We had a wonderfull night with Zoltan. He helped us see Budapest from a different point of view. He was very patient with me as a beginning photographer, helping me out with camerasettings. Greatly recommended!
Personally I love taking photos and local experiences. It was very enjoyable and fun-learning experience of the arts, cultures and history of Budapest city with the perspective of photography. Not only did he shared his strong & professional knowledge on photography such as compositions, settings and etc.., he also explained a lot on the history of Budapest buildings. This tour is definitely worth it as Zoltan will bring you to many nice hidden spots for photography. I would suggest you begin the tour early morning to avoid the tourist crowd if you really want to take a nice picture. I also really appreciate the flexibility of the tour and time based on my preference. Last but not least, I enjoy connecting with local people by having brunch with Zoltan. Highly recommend for those who like to shoot!
I chose the evening tour and had a great time. We went to some of the major sites but in a way that was easier than if you go as a tourist and don't know your way. I took photos with only my phone, but Zoltan was so kind and brought a different camera. I wasn't feeling adventurous enough to try the other camera, but if you were, it's kind of great that he's so thoughtful that way. Zoltan was also really cool about telling you about the places, the history, etc. He's very professional. Don't think twice if you're a solo woman traveler. I went in October, and it's a bit chilly. You may want to bring an extra layer in case you get cold easily like I do. Also, double check you batteries on camera and the such. I would definitely do this tour though if you like taking pictures.
Thanks for the professional setting tips and a unique place above Budapest! It was a great experience, which I would defenitely recommend!
I have a history with a camera that's about 15 years old. Fixed lens, 50 mm. Would it seem possible to shoot on a portrait lens? Thanks to Zoltán's skill, it turned out to be quite, very much! I was very inspired by this master's approach to choosing lighting, objects, although I am familiar with several professional and very talented photographers in Moscow, Krasnodar and Minsk. My Canon 350D feels like it got a second birth thanks to Zoltan. Explanations, advice (both artistically and in general terms) have proved very useful and valuable. Immediately upon arrival, I purchased a new lens for an extremely low cost, it was as if he "asked" for this camera. Now I've got a wide angle, and yet I've learned one thing: practically everything is decided by skill, not the price of your device. Thank you to Zoltan for your wonderful walk, kindness and generosity. This man is literally one of the most vivid experiences of visiting Hungary that will be remembered, I think, for life.
The tour with Zoltan was the best we did in Budapest. Zoltan is very flexible and personally responds to all wishes. When he realized that we were particularly interested in architecture, he showed us great buildings that we would never have found ourselves. It is also a source of information on topics such as history, culture and Hungary in general! Not only for photo fans, but for everyone. looking for background information about Budapest!!
We had a night trip with Zoltan and despite the intermittent rain made some very nice pictures thanks to our guide. Zoltan was always there to tell us an anecdote about the history and life of Hungarians, he has a very good general culture and speaks fluent French, which is really a plus. I highly recommend this trip with Zoltan!
