Itinerary
The Vigadó is one of Budapest’s most elegant historic buildings, located along the Danube on the Pest side. Originally built in the 19th century and later restored after wartime damage, it has long served as a cultural hub for concerts, exhibitions, and grand events. Its Romantic-style architecture, richly decorated interiors, and riverside setting make it a favorite stop for visitors looking to experience both the artistic and historical atmosphere of the city.
Vörösmarty Square is one of the liveliest and most popular gathering spots in central Budapest, located at the end of the famous shopping street, Váci utca. Surrounded by elegant 19th-century buildings, cafés, and shops, the square is a hub for cultural events and seasonal markets, especially the well-known Christmas fair. At its center stands the statue of Hungarian poet Mihály Vörösmarty, adding a touch of national heritage. Visitors can also enjoy dining and entertainment nearby, including the iconic Hard Rock Cafe Budapest, making the square a vibrant place to relax and soak in the city’s atmosphere.
József Nádor Square is a small but elegant square in the heart of Budapest, known for its calm atmosphere and refined surroundings. Named after Archduke Joseph, a key historical figure in Hungary, the square features a statue in his honor and is lined with classic buildings, offices, and cafés. Its quieter character makes it a pleasant spot to take a break while exploring the busy city center nearby.
Szent István Square is a spacious and lively square in central Budapest, best known for being home to the magnificent St. Stephen’s Basilica. Surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and terraces, it’s a popular place to relax while enjoying views of the grand neoclassical church, one of the city’s most important landmarks. The square often hosts events and seasonal markets, making it a vibrant stop for visitors exploring the area.
The Hungarian State Opera House, located on Andrássy Avenue, is one of the city’s most impressive architectural landmarks. Built in the late 19th century in a richly decorated Neo-Renaissance style, it is renowned for its stunning interior, excellent acoustics, and world-class performances. Even for those not attending a show, the building itself is a highlight of Budapest, reflecting the city’s deep cultural and artistic heritage.
Liberty Square (Szabadság tér) is a large and elegant square in Budapest’s financial district, surrounded by impressive historic buildings and green park areas. It is known for its mix of monuments reflecting different periods of Hungary’s history, as well as its relaxed atmosphere with fountains and seating areas. Popular with both locals and visitors, it offers a peaceful break while still being close to many of the city’s main attractions.
The Hungarian Parliament Building, located on Kossuth Lajos Square, is one of Budapest’s most iconic sights. This grand Neo-Gothic building, set along the Danube, is the seat of Hungary’s government and one of the largest parliament buildings in the world. Its striking façade, intricate details, and impressive dome make it a must-see for visitors exploring the city.

I was 100% satisfied with the tour. The team was incredibly professional, and I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting Budapest. I especially loved how well they took care of their guests and showed us some of Budapest’s hidden gems that most tourists would never discover. If you’re coming to Budapest, definitely choose them!
It was so good. Great atmosphere, interesting stories, a touch of humor, and suddenly you see the place in a new light. I recommend Peter’s guided walk to everyone.
It was a very interesting walk. I received a lot of new information from the guide; it was an interesting and engaging presentation. I know Budapest pretty well but this tour could show me the sites from a different point of view .
I enjoyed this event. Péter is very funny, and he was amusing during the tour. If I go to again any tour, I would like to go with him. Thank you for this experience.
The tour guide told the story very well and in a really interesting way. I really enjoyed the whole tour and had a great time throughout.
Loads of information told with enthusiasm. History packed in joy. Easy to understand and points to help remember, presented in fluent effortless English.
I loved the early start so we could avoid the hottest part of the day. The tour itself was informative and the guide was really competent. He patiently answered all the questions. A lot of tips regarding local life, gastronomy and the public transport were given. Definitely worth it!
Great way to get around the city, I have learnt a lot about the Café culture in Budapest like Gerbaude, Hard Rock, Astoria or the famous New York café. The guide was very knowledgeable and well prepared, and very friendly. He kindly answered all of my questions. I recommend everyone to do it on your day one. I have visited a lot of tours but by far this was the best. 10/10
Great way to explore Budapest! Absolutely Recommended. Try it on day 1 as you would learn how to get around the city. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful ;)

Knowledgeable guide, fantastic route and great experience. I would definitely recommend it to other travellers in Budapest. Not the first time in Budapest, but now I see the city differently
This was my first time in Budapest, so I decided to take a quick tour to see what's around. Probably was my best experience with city tours so far
This is the best option to know more about Hungarian history with an amazing guide. The tour was very enjoyable, and we visited most of the city's landmarks, with engaging explanations provided by highly professional guides. I would definitely recommend this tour, and if I return to Budapest, I will certainly contact them again. Experience 10 out of 10
This tour was absolutely amazing, and Sabi is hands-down the best guide we have ever had! His knowledge of Budapest's history is incredibly deep, but what sets him apart is how practical and helpful he is. He knows the city inside out and gave us the ultimate insider tips on how to navigate the streets easily. He showered us with brilliant recommendations for local spots, restaurants, and hidden gems that completely transformed our trip. If you are visiting Budapest, you absolutely have to book a tour with Sabi—he is a absolute treasure and made our experience unforgettable!
Sabi is the best! He has a great knowledge, passionate and really thorough.
Perfect tour! Sabi is the best!
Amazing walking tour in Budapest! Everything was perfectly organized, the guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and we discovered so many beautiful places and interesting stories. Highly recommended!
Excellent tour. I really liked it. There were only two of us, I was afraid it would be canceled, but the tour took place despite the small number of participants, so it felt like a private tour. Sabi was sociable and knew the city well. I really liked his funny stories. He gave many useful tips on getting around the city. I recommend going on this tour on the first day of your trip.

It was very nice to explore the city with a local tour guide. Unfortunately, I missed the morning tour, but the tour guide was flexible and I was rebooked onto the afternoon tour without any problems. I heard very interesting stories and can recommend the tour to everyone. I particularly liked the stories with a German connection.
We participated in this guided tour during our stay in Budapest, and it was a truly interesting and well-organized experience. The tour allowed us to discover the city from a different perspective, better understanding its history, traditions, and the most significant places. Peter proved to be extremely skilled, competent, and professional. He was able to tell the history and curiosities of Budapest in an engaging and never boring way, answering all our questions with great knowledge. His passion for the city is evident, and he manages to convey it to anyone participating in the tour. Thanks to him, we discovered not only the most famous places but also details and anecdotes that we would have never known on our own. The tour was well organized, interesting, and enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend this guided tour to anyone who wants to know Budapest in an authentic and in-depth way. A special thanks to Peter for his availability, friendliness, and great expertise.
Szuper volt a túra. Nagyon érdekes volt az idegenvezetés. Szuper lenne ha mindenhol ilyen minőségbe zajlana a szervezés. Még egyszer köszönjük az élményt.
