Fantastic trip and Attila was fantastic. Both Knowledgable and entertaining. Beautiful palace and a great way to learn more about Sissi.

Reviews
I'm surprised of bad orientation for the meeting point. Spend more then 45 min. Direction unprofessional The tour guide mostly was Spanish oriented So I'm not recommended Viator for this tour
The palace itself from the outside was beautiful! Not much to the gardens. It was an interesting history lesson about CiCi and Franz Josef. The only negative comment was that we were a bit rushed because we waited for some people who arrived late. I would strongly suggest that the tour company tell people they must arrive 15 minutes before the tour to alleviate this issue.
We took this tour with about 1/2 the group was Spanish, rest of us were a mix of Canadians and a few from Taiwan great mix/group of 12. Guide did a great job of switching back and forth between Spanish and English. He took the necessary time to explain without going overboard. Took q & a also.
Attila was an excellent guide! He made the history of Sisi and the Summer Palace come alive with fascinating stories and context. You can tell he is passionate about what he does, and that made the tour even more enjoyable. I learned a lot and had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend taking a tour with Attila if you have the chance!
Summer palace of Empress Sisi, married to Austria-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph. Many personal items and pics of this family. Our guide was well-informed and very good.
Kuisztina was very knowledgeable and I really admire that, you can ask her anything and the tour was very informative. If you love history I recommend it.
Our tour guide Kristina was wonderful! She was incredibly informative and had so much knowledge of Hungary's history! The PALACE is beautiful and we enjoyed the many paintings and pictures in each room! I highly recommend this tour and request Kristina for a wonderful experience!
The tour is worth every penny. Very informative guide named Aitila . The castle is worth a visit . The castle is very big and beautiful
Kristina Was excellent, the tour was interesting, she spoke both italian and english, very good. The day was sunny and we had so much fun
Our tour guide Kristina was super excellent on the history of the Godollo palace and sissy . Experience is wonderful , length of visit was enough and admission fee is fair .
Our guide Krisztina was amazing! She spoke to us about the history of the buildings as we drove through Budapest on top of providing a thorough tour of the Godollo Palace!
Had difficulty finding the meeting place. Viator guides do not have flags or identification. The palace was lovely and the guide was knowledgeable. The bus ride into the country was about 45 min.
The guide Attila was a fantastic guide, super fun explaining everything! Loved the tour!! Strongly recommended! The palace was very pretty!!
Kristin was a very informed tour guide She told us many items the audio did not Her knowledge of genealogy was very informative
Very interesting history tour about Sisi, the palace and the Austro Hungarian Empire, very good guide with a lot of humor
The tour was well run and Palace interesting. However, we arrived 30 minutes in advance of tour time as instructed and then sat around for 40 minutes. Plus, the tour was conducted in both English and German, which made everything take twice as long because the guy had to explain what we were looking at in both languages to the group. When traveling with teen boys, lingering around is never going to go well.
The Palace is magnificent, you feel like Sissi could be just around the corner. Totally worth a visit if you are interested in her life. Our guide was very friendly and helpful. We would recommend to specify more clearly that it is a group tour with no hotel pick-up unless explicitly agreed upon directly with the agency.
Godollo Castle is a must see for Sissi lovers , and with a guide that explains you everything and answers to all of your questions is even better
Very lovely trip and very well organized, everything went smoothly - on the road, as well as at the palace. The guide was very professional, well informed and welcoming, spoke many languages very well (including Romanian, which was a very nice surprise for me). The tour of the palace was done at a very good pace in my opinion and I'm glad we also had time to go to the cafeteria before leaving. Highly recommend!
I was impressed by Kristina's spontaneity: our guide, with whom we had a wonderful convivial tour filled with historical insights different from what you find in history books. The Godollo Palace is a small Hungarian gem that reveals a new side of Princess Sissi.
I visited the castle of Godollo with my boyfriend. It was an amazing experience, especially thanks to our guide Kristina who explained us many interesting things and historical facts about Hungary. She was very knowledgeable and open to discuss about everything and to help us with any doubt. I suggest giving a try to this tour! It’s totally worth it!
The guide was interesting and gave good information. I did not like the two language tour and wish the tour company was more upfront about that. Listen to the reviews, it will be two languages. It was a medium sized group (not large), but the group size was too big for the small size of the palace rooms. It made it hard to take the time to see the different items in the room.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the castle and Hungarian history in general- it was a great way to start off our first trip to Budapest
The palace itself was enjoyable and our guide was very knowledgeable. The trouble was that i booked an English tour and instead received an English AND German tour. Instead of having some free time to explore the grounds as promised it took forever to go through each room because of the tour being given in both languages - very disappointing.
Kristina was a great guide! She brought us thru the castle with side stories and very intresting insight, we loved it we came to follow the princess sissi experience and we got it all
We had a nice small group. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the palace come to life. We had time for coffee and gift shop.
I have visited Sissi’s Museum and residence in Vienna a few times and was curious to see her palace in Godollo. The tour itself was well-organized with the pick-up point located at the Intercontinental Hotel. I enjoyed the bus ride through Budapest and the countryside to visit the palace. Our guide was fluent in English and German and was thoroughly knowledgeable about the palace itself and about Sissi’s life. The weather cooperated and visiting the grounds of the palace was enjoyable.
Nice half day trip. 30 km from Budapest. Small group. Atila (historical overview) had great history details with connection on other states.
I'd like the tour. The guide explains very good the topic. Her Italian it's excellent. I chose this guide
Very nice way to spend couple hours further off Budapest. We were group of 5 and the tour was very well organized. Driver Lazslo good and punctual, the minivan exteremly comfortable and clean. Our tour guide Attila was very friendly and knowledgeable. On our way to Godollo he explain a lot about the parts of town we were passing. On the site we walk through the park first to see the Elizabeth statue and afterwards we had a tour. During the tour Attila explained a big amount of history and life of people connected to this castle. The tour was in english and is suitable for all ages. I wish we had more time after tour to walk through gardens. Overall a very nice tour, worth the visit.
The meeting place was near our lodging and we easily found our transportation. Our tour guide Christine warmly welcomed us. During the trip to the palace, she provided an explanation of the sections of town we passed, historic buildings up to the palace. She walked us thru the gardens and into the palace . During the tour, she shared her knowledge of the people who lived in the palace abs interesting events which occurred there. Definitely a location to return, especially if able to have Christine as the guide again.
Attila was a great guide, very informative and open to questions. He easily switched back and forth between English and German and everybody got the same detailed information. I highly recommend him. The Palace is beautiful, the rooms, pictures and furniture authentic reproductions if the originals were not available. Thoroughly informative tour based on the history of Hungary, Maria Theresa, Franz Joseph and of course, Sissi. Take your time to enjoy the coffee and cake at the end.
It was amazing, me and my mom had such a great time with Gabriela, she was a great guide that lead us into the life of Sissi
Excellent trip in comfortable minibus with outstanding guide Kristine Interesting and beautiful castle with lots of history
Thank you Kristina for an outstanding and very informative tour of Queen Sisi’s Palace. All of us enjoyed your excellent presentations
The park dedicated to Sisi was beautiful as were the grounds of the palace. I can understand if fans of Sisi would be very interested in seeing where she lived. It was also interesting to see how it was used after WWII. I was a bit under whelmed by the castle itself. The tour guide was very informative and helpful.
At first I was annoyed that pictures were forbidden but soon realized there was nothing to photograph except one dress. A waste of time and money.
Had a good half day tour to Sissy's palace, well organized & the guide provide good explanation. Too bad we can't take pictures inside the palace. The garden is gorgeous
First - they forget to pick me up at the hotel and I was waiting since one hour prior the set time. I contact them several times by email. The guides are horrible, didn't know what they should know, only wikepedia informations. they even know the heroine of their country the guide show another woman on the picture, unbelievable. Não foram me pegar no Hotel, contactei eles diversas verzes e finalmente ne pegaram e quando cheguei na agência ninguem sabia de nada e meu tour programado já havia saiu e teve que retornar na agência. .

The Good Points - a taxi will bring you from your hotel to the pickup point if you confirm beforehand. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The palace is very nice.
The Bad Points - The tour group was multilingual, so you have to wait around while each talk is repeated. The guide kept firing off lists of facts that few people were interested in. NO PHOTOS INSIDE ! Stupid considering very little furniture is original. The palace tour is around 3 hours with very few seats and no stopping until the end of the tour when there is a 15 minute rest for café or toilets. The grounds are plain but well kept and not photogenic.
Personally, I wished we had picked another tour.

Good trip, well organised, informative guide. The stables are closed for renovation.

Our guide gave a wonderful history of Hungary while we travelled to the residence. Her knowledge on Sisi was equally wonderful. She had a good sense of humour. Pleased we went.

La visite s'est très bien passée avec un guide patient et très compétent. Je note juste qu'avant notre départ nous n'avions pas de renseignements concernant le déroulement de notre excursion. Encore merci à Mrs Atila et Zoltan pour cette excursion.
A pleasant and extraordinary historical journey, Sissi's palace always remains enchanting, illustrated excellently by Attila, our guide, who was very nice and thorough in his explanations. Highly recommended
Excellent experience at Sissi's palace. The guide Cristina was very good in her explanation. I am sorry I was not able to tour the park due to the lack of time. It would be good to have one more hour available.
The Sissi villa is very beautiful. Ms. Cristina is very knowledgeable in her explanation. It is a pity there was so little time for the visit to the gardens.
Our guide Attila was truly fantastic, very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. The Palace is wonderful, highly recommended experience!
Very nice tour, but the pace was a bit rushed. Average guided tour; perhaps the support of an audio guide would have been more comprehensive. If you have time available and not too tight a schedule, you can easily organize this excursion on your own by taking the train from Budapest.
Nice tour and the guide Attila was knowledgeable and committed. Sat down at my place in the cafe and recommended a certain cake. Very nice!
