Balna (a.k.a. the Whale, due to its shape) is a modern shopping, cultural, and entertainment center on the east bank of the River Danube.
Average experience. Clean, nice prosecco, blankets provided. Very annoying American music blaring which detracted from the experience. Also smokers! I would prefer the option of a non smoking cruise.
We booked this experience with colleagues, and really had fun. Maybe it would be nice to not only see objects, but as well get some information about them (written/audio). Overall, nice staff, smooth planning, however, to get an invoice for the tour with company details, it took like 1 hour call with support team, it would be really good to have smoother experience for this.
Very disappointed with this tour. Most of the people on this tour were twenty something years old. It appeared they were there only for the unlimited beer and prosecco, loud and obnoxious. Couldn’t hear the tour guide.

Teresa and I had a lovely cruise with good views of both sides of the river on a clear, warm, moonlit night. Our prosecco was regularly topped up and we feel we got good value for our money.
Csenge and Zsofi our waitresses gave us the best experience possible, attentive and thoughtfull. Would definitely recommend trying the cruise for breathtaking views and quality drinks!
The night time cruise was great. Beautiful sights and views. The crew was very nice and kept your glasses full. Arrive early to ensure a good spot as there a few too many people on board. The cruise lasted the perfect amount of time. We did wish that there was some narration for ease of identification of views.
Prosecco was continually being topped up. Staff were friendly. Lots of seating available. Highly recommend this tour.
Don't waste your time and money. We booked the cruise with unlimited Prosecco at 8:20pm. The boarding line was really long and we didn't realize that there were people in line for the 8:40. No communication from the staff about which boat they were boarding. As a result we missed our boat because we were behind a bunch of people for the next boat. They let us get on that boat but it didn't include unlimited Prosecco. It was also really crowded and noisy. We couldn't hear the narration and there were a group of men chain smoking right next to us. The top deck wasn't big enough for all passengers and nobody wanted to sit in the lower, hot, enclosed deck.
Me and my wife had the best time on this hour long trip up and down the Danube and it made the end of our trip feel special. The scenery speaks for itself and its an ideal way to enjoy this beautiful city at sunset, but we need to mention our excellent server Dominic who kept us in great spirits and his positive energy and amazing outlook on life rubbed off on us. Dominic, if you're reading this, we wish you all the best from London! Nursey rhyme wasn't possible after so much proseccO 😅
Silverline Cruise, Budapest: Cruises in Budapest are big business. No visit to Budapest is complete without a cruise down the Danube River to marvel the incredible gothic, Neo-Romanesque, Neo-Classical architecture that flank both Buda and Pest sides of the river. The most strategic spot is where the Buda Palace face off the parliament house. Timing matters too – the 8.20 PM ferry in summer is the most popular. Silverline is packed with an assortment of tiered passengers – those with unlimited prosecco drinks, others ordered off the menu. It’s premium prosecco they serve – Bottega, not your tatty street drink. They are generous with refills too – so by the end of your 1-hour cruise, your head is bubbling too. I emailed to ask if my teenage son could get unlimited lemonade prior and it was an OK. However, we were denied that onboard. But George, by George, the lovely chappie of a waiter gave my son a second round. He is sunshine all round. #eatstylishtravelstylish

Nice chill tour, there’s snacks and other alcohol. Dominic and renata made sure our glasses were never empty and that we had great conversations. This was a last minute plan but glad we booked it! Suggest the top deck to enjoy the breeze.

Short points first: The tour was alright. The crew was kind (a bit too kind). Prosecco was worse than average. The first glass was cold, but the rest wasnt, so skip the unlimited prosecco; you wouldnt drink 3-4 glasses of that. There was an obnoxious family with a mid-twenties "kid" and his mother from the UK. The "kid" was extremely drunk, singing, chanting, playing the main character and all. The crew didn't do anything at all about him (aside from kindly asking to climb down the rails, so that they wouldnt have to rescue him from the river), although there were some complaints. At some point, a woman from another group yelled at them and the kid's mom confronted them, yelling even more. then she went back to his kid and together they sang even louder to mess with everyone on the boat. In the end, Csenge or Renáta asked me how it went and I shared my honest opinion about the tour. She still asked me to post on here without mentioning the annoyance. Well, that wouldn't be fair, would it?
