Nice way to see and learn more about Hungary outside of Budapest. Tour crosses the boarder in to Slovakia which was kind of fun. Impressed with how the guides catered to a few different languages on our tour.

Great Experience! Really enjoyed the day.
An excelent tour. We enjoyed the tour very much. Thanks to Attilla, the tour guide
We had a wonderful day! The sites were beautiful; the lunch was delicious! It was a little difficult to understand the guide.
Grazie mille. I would recommend this tour to everyone for a day trip outside of Budapest. Considering the transportation and lunch included, the price is absolutely reasonable. We were also fortunate to find Cristina (our Italian guide). She was a knowledgeable and extremely helpful guide. She enriched us with a wealth of knowledge, information, and, above all, a wealth of history about Hungary, both written and unwritten. Furthermore, she went out of her way to accommodate our every need. Thank you so much.
Pickup changed w/poor communication. Boat tour cancelled w/no notice. Many languages spoken w/heavy accent - expected English only. Sales pitch from tour guide to book outside Viator.
We went on this trip where Raoul was the tour guide with one of his colleagues. They were both extremely knowledgeable and made the tour enjoyable. They were the best fit for this type of tour and the right people as they were both multilingual.
I really enjoyed the tour. I had a medical emergency and then alowed me to join the tour in the next day. The guides were great, the views and the places are amazing.
Great experience I highly recommend this tour
Beautiful journey along the river. Very nice lunch with spectacular views. Nice wander around St Andrew’s.
Beautiful tour with our guide Kristina, the size of the group was perfect, the lunch was delicious and we had a wonderful time, The views were beautiful, we spend half day in summer so wonderful time.
Raoul was very nice. He did a good job and we enjoyed the tour.
It was a very nice tour, professionally handled , with a knowledgeable tour guide named Kristina. She really knows her Hungary history and shared it with enthusiasm. Sites cited were great and rather than by bus the tour ended with a riverboat. Highly recommended.
Nice day in northern Hungary. Enjoyed seeing the countryside and driving through the villages. Beautiful basilica - nice Danube views. Yolanda was very informative and managed guiding in two languages very well.
Kristina was knowledgeable and helpful.
Kristina did an excellent job. Very informative.
The Sunday trip was rainy, so focusing on the beautiful nature and cities of Hungary was not the best possible. The trip was well organized. Special thanks to Kristiina, she took good care of even the solo travelers.
Our guide christina was very knowledgeable and interesting. She looked after all our needs in a timely and efficient manner. We would highly recommend her for any tour
Wonderful trip made perfect by the commentary from Kristina. Only at the end of the day did I realise she had a degree in history. She is a treasure.
Well planned, beautiful scenery and a delicious lunch. The tour guide was prepared and very knowledgeable. The multiple languages was a bit too much.
We spent a whole day with the guidance of Kristina. She was excellent, she had great knowledge and wanted to share it with us. Kristina was very attentive and helpful and we highly appreciate and. Recommend her. Shur we will be happy to meet her next time.
Good tour to see the nearby places of budapest along Danube river . Guide provided information about the places visited
The guide Maria gave us lots of interesting facts and information about the places we were visiting, as well as Budapest and Hungary in general. Lovely group of people and nice lunch, all in all a very good tour. Well timed and not rushed.
Great opportunity to visit the countryside and multiple towns. Guide includes a stop at wonderful bakery with amazing treats. Maria was passionate and was very informative of all areas we travelled. Smaller group allowed for better experience. Many opportunities for stunning views.
This was good. It gave us a chance to see other parts of Hungary. Sites were good. Guide was good however, the multi language is a bother at times.
What a great day out, driver was waiting for us, comfortable coach, into Slovakia, three course lunch in the most beautiful mountain lodge, shopping, loads of photo opportunities, and Atila our guide was so knowledgeable and approachable, really made the day, I highly recommend, if your thinking of it do it you won't be disappointed.
Attila was absolutely fantastic, so knowledgeable about each area and always had some interesting facts.
It was an amazing tour. Our guide Attila was provided information about the places but was very engaging with the group. Had lovely photo stops. The lunch was scrumptious and the place was absolutely stunning. Highly recommend if you want to spend a day and visit Danube bend. Ask for Attila as your guide and John as the driver. Thanks to both to make the tour memorable.
Kristina was an eccellent guide , Thank you so much ! Journey help us to know better use and Hungarian people 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😁😁
A truly fantastic day, all 3 charming villages, a very well planned tour, and were lucky to have Attila as our toyr guide, giving us detailed information, a multi lingual and polite person. Thanks also to Zoltan, our bus driver.
Great trip, really enjoyed all of it. Krisztina was really knowledgeable and was able to tell us so much history of every where we went. It was great as someone who loves to understand different time periods and ways that other countries lived/live. The church was beautiful and got to spend a good amount of time there. Unlike other trips, nothing was pushed on his to buy things, which we enjoyed. Would recommend and 100% would do it again,
The Danube Bend Day Trip has met and exceeded our expectations. From the hotel pickup, meeting our guide Raool, travelling in the relaxed comfort of the tour bus, listening to Raool's educational and well-presented information of Hungary, healthy 3-course meal to the last but not the least, return on the boat, everything is planned and executed seamlessly. Highly recommend.
I had a great time. Our guide Kristina was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I learned a lot and I would recommend to everyone
Tour left promptly from downtown Budapest. Bus was very comfortable. The driver Sabi was very capable driving through narrow and curvy turns. Our guide Adam was very informative and kept us on schedule. The sights along the day trip were beautiful and well thought out! Lunch was fabulous and was in such a lovely spot. The boat ride back to Budapest from Szentendre was a great way to end the tour. Would highly recommend this tour. Well worth the price! Thank you!
A great day out visiting several different places that I really enjoyed. Guide was very knowledgable and friendly. Lunch was lovely it was a great trip.
We booked this tour from Get Your Guide as we had an extra day in Budapest and wanted to explore Szedentre which was included. We were picked up right on time and transferred to a van with a few others. We rode through the countryside, stopped at a church along the way but were unable to go inside because of a function. Our tour guide, Krisztina, kept us informed and adapted our schedule. She was very informative with the history of the area and kept us entertained. The return from Szedentre is by boat and does not return you to the original pickup point so that needs to be kept in mind.
Not at all what was expected. Very little time in Szentendre, which was supposed to be the destination. Driver and guide were very nice, but we spent way too much time going places that were not on the itinerary. Very disappointed. Included lunch was awful.
Delivered on everything promised Great value for money Fantastic lunch Guide was exceptional Great scenery
Great tour! Got us out of Budapest for the day to see some more of Hungary! Kristina was great. Very knowledgeable of the history at the stops and the sights during the bus ride!
The highlight of the tour for me was viewing the same structure from two sides of the border, one being from the Slovakia side. Kristina is an extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who is equally empathetic to any specific needs of her guests (case in point being her remembering during our lunch, one of the guests wanted a gluten-free diet.
Kristina was a very knowledgeable guide and passionate about Hungarian history. The day didn’t feel rushed which was nice. Lovely day out of the city.
Too long without breaks on the coach. Air con was not turned on properly to save money. The guide was excellent but the tour didn’t work. We expected time at the Danube bend, a church that wasn’t 3/4 covered in scaffolding more than a quick drive around the roundabout in Slovenia and more than 40mins in the artists village before being time pressured to take the final boat back . The boat was excellent the tour guide Katherine was excellent the other guide had such bad BO we all felt quite sick as we were closed into the coach with him. This trip needs more stops and more time in the village and water provided free of charge especially when the air con isn’t turned on properly ! Lunch was good but took too long to serve and was cold on arrival.
Our guide was fantastic really knowledgeable. However, the coach just didn’t stop for hours and hours .the “bend” was pointed out as we drove past ! We all asked to stop but unfortunately lunch was booked for set times and we were not permitted to vary it depending on traffic. The tour into Slovenia was a quick drive around the roundabout … the basilica was a wash out as scaffolding covered 3/4 of the catholic church st Izentistvan in Estergom. Lunch was good but the visit to Szentendre was very short less than 40 mins with huge time pressure to catch the public boat back to Budapest Would we recommend NO despite the excellent tour guide who did her best and saved the day from being utterly ruined.
I would recommend skipping this one. A lot of time on the bus. The big thing was the cathedral, and we did not have near enough time there. We were looking forward to walking around Szentendre (even though it is mostly shops) and same thing, not enough time there. Too much time on the bus.
A little confusing. It was not clear that the boat ride is only the last part of the trip so mainly on the bus. Guide was good though.
Great experience to learn more about the history of Hungary! Seeing these towns outside of Budapest was great and the lunch stop had spectacular views!
Christina was a lovely guide. Extreme knowledge of the history of the region. Well rounded experience all around, albeit tight schedule!
It was an absolutely great tour but as we couldn’t hear the commentary above the air conditioning we spent longer than we should have at the first stop in Slovakia. We didn’t realise that we needed euros (we should have) and spend our time looking for a cash machine to purchase some in order to use the loo. We are very sorry for our oversight and would like to apologise to the driver, very worried superb guide and to the other passengers. The tour itself was very enjoyable and we met some great people. We had a lovely lunch and shared the table with a wonderful couple. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and it ended on a high with a return boat journey. It certainly was value for money as it lasted over 9 hours.
Great varied tour and good value. Tour guide Raool was very knowledgeable and kept it interesting. Szentendre was beautiful.
Can honestly just do yourself. Ultimately was two stops and a river cruise. It was great for meeting other travelers, but not the crowd you'd meet if you wanted to link up afterwards. The AC bus was nice, but doubt you couldn't see the same things in less time on your own. 4 v 3 stars just because the driver and tour guide were great.
