Petra was a very good guide. A great way to get insighton the history
Our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable friendly and entertaining.
Great walking tour! Our guide Balázs (Bulosh) was impressive. He had a deep understanding of Hungarian culture and history. It was like you had your own Hungarian family member to tour the city with. Wished to was longer as we learned and saw so much
Our guide Orsolya was excellent in giving some unbiased history as well as pointing out many points of interest in downtown Budapest. We really enjoyed the two-hour tour.
The guide, Judit, have I spelt that correctly, was a charming and knowledgeable guide with excellent English and good communication skills. She was very approachable and open to discussion. If I were to visit for another walk I would very much like it to be with her as the guide.
The tour guide Judith was excellent at all levels. Her narration was engaging and informative. During 2+ hours I have learned more about the history and today’s reality of Hungary than by reading guidebooks. The tour was just fantastic.
Fantastic tour, guide was so enthusiastic and happy to chat and answer questions as we walked along. The tour was just the right length. It is a nominal fee for an excellent service, have cash ready so you can tip generously at the end!
Dora is an expert guide and a spiffing person. Well worth the tip. Excellent tour route, historical knowledge AND personality
Endre was very knowledgeable about the city, we did the ,'Pest' side. I would definitely recommend this walk to anyone 🙂
It was an ok tour. It was hard to understand the guide. But she was trying g her best. We left halfway through the tour
The walk was informative and our guide, Edi, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She continually made sure no one was left behind.
We do a walking tour each time we visit a new city to get oriented and learn history and culture. This tour was one of the if not the best tour ever. Our guide Kamile was awesome.
Our tour guide was great - very knowledgeable (His name began with a B and rhymed with goulash). He was easy to hear and shared great information. When we travel, we want to learn about culture and history. B was easy to hear and we learned a lot about Pest. Now to the negative: while we were waiting to begin, another tour guide asked where we are from. I said Washington, DC and she immediately became rude and dismissive. We moved to the side where B was standing so we wouldn't end up in her group. I think someone who is that prejudiced, is simply showing herself to be what I would never want to be. I have never voted for the US president we currently have and am about as left as they come. She made assumptions and was rude.
Our Budapest trip was truly SAVED by the walking tour and Balázs's amazing walking tour. We were quite excited arriving in Budapest and I misread the Gemini LLM recommendation for utilizing public transit with our three sons and thought kids 14 and under ride free. Truth of that was only for EU citizens and NOT intended for tourists coming from outside EU. Our family was stopped given a real lecture from the BCC employees and charged about $60 USD as a result of not booking 2 X $9 day passes. This was a rough start to our final leg of the Euro-trip and it soured our impression of the city. Thankfully, my wife booked the tour for the next day (which was our only real day to experience Budapest) and the walking tour was a lovely understanding of the city, culture, and spirit of Budapest. We finished the tour at Parliament and had a lovely final few hours before heading back to the US with glowing tales to tell of our Euro-Trip!
Easy to book tour and really enjoyed the experience. Tour guide Kristina was excellent and very knowledgable. I would say it would have been great to combine with the other side of Buda as this was a pest tour and unclear. But all in all a great 2 hours spent and seeing all the sites etc. headed for the best Lagos in town.. let’s hope kristina is right about this one.
Knowledgeable guide who went above and beyond when we hit a detour in the route. Very informative for history, culture, food and various recommendations.
Very knowledgeable guide provided a great potted history of Budapest and introduction to some of the major sites. Tip based tour - give what you want at the end.
Informative and engaging way to see the highlights . Our guide was fun , intelligent and insightful .
Our guide was very good!!! He was open and honest about the history of the country. Very good orientation to Budapest.
Judit was an excellent guide! Her tour was interesting and informative, and was a great way to start off our trip. FYI, the tour itself is inexpensive/free, so I’d recommend bringing some cash for a tip at the end, though we weren’t pressured to do so.
Wonderful with Bolash. Great command of history with humor and so much know Ledge about not only Budapest but all of Hungary
Very interesting. Sophia was knowledgeable, funny and informative. Highly recommend. Such good value.
Andrew did a great job showing us the landmarks. Explained the history, and gave us enough time to snap a few photos.
Super interesting tour and a great way to get your bearings while exploring the Pest side of Budapest.
Excellent tour although the number of people made hearing a little difficult at times. Knowledge guide
Very informative guide. Interesting walk
Great overview of key sites in the downtown area and views of the Buda side as well. All the way from the Ferris wheel to parliament
Sophia, you were absolutely wonderful! You were informative, engaging, and fun! We learned about Budapest's history, architecture, food, famous Hungarian people, and even a few Hungarian words. I definitely recommend this tour. Sophia, thank you for everything!
Good overall feel for the city. The guide will take you to the top sights. You can then go back if you like to explore in depth.
Great introduction to Budapest and its history. The guide, Sophia, provided a lot of information about Budapest and the country’s history in a very engaging and entertaining manner. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone making their first trip to Budapest.
We had a 2 hour free walking tour. We like to do these when we first arrive in a city to help orientate us and learn some history and culture. It was interesting and covered the main tourist points on the ‘pest’ side of the river, including the basilica, union bridge, parliament and the shoes on the Danube.
This was a very good tour. Our guide was passionate, professional, and very knowledgeable. It was time well spent.
This tour is a great overview of the castle district. It also provides excellent history of Budapest and Hungary. Balosz was a fabulous tour guide.
Very informative guided walk. Our guide Dora was excellent, spoke well and shared a lot of local knowledge with us. Also gave us some very good recommendations.
We had never been to Budapest and wanted to get an overview of the city. This was so well presented by our guide Bahlz- we were entertained and educated and left with many ideas for how to spend our time in Budapest.
It was fantastic - so much history covered by Esther in such a short time! Great start for anyone’s Budapest trip - highly recommend. Our guide, Esther was knowledgeable, patient and helpful.
It was very informative and gave you a good insight into the history of Budapest. Gary's knowledge about the city was very good along with the recommendations of where to eat and drink.
This is a great orientation to this beautiful city in which we learned a lot about its history and got to visit the main attractions on the Pest side.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide, Gary, had excellent depth of knowledge and made it a really worthwhile experience. The 2 hours went by very quickly. Would recommend…
Andy was awesome. We learned so much from him. You are blessed to have such a good tour guide on your team
Informative tour. Dora was very helpful and clearly experienced at dealing with a large group. She showed us the big sights of the city and gave lots of insight into Hungarian history and culture.
Andy was informative and funny. I would highly recommend his tours.
This is a good opportunity to get a feel of the Pest. It helps orient you and gives you an idea of what to do and a little history about Hungary. I would recommend as a first activity when you get to Budapest. I would suggest comfortable shoes and water bottle. Sunglasses and a hat depending on weather.
Nice pace. Concise and clear historical details. Tour guide was very pleasant and informative. Good overview of the city
Great tour with Kristina. She had an extensive knowledge of the history of Hungary and local architecture.
Dora was great! So enthusiastic, generous and informative! Covered the highlights of central Pest side, but also with enough information to get a good idea of what else to explore. Tip well.
“Bolash” was a very enthusiastic and entertaining guide. Full of knowledge and had a great sense of humour. Walk was at a comfortable pace and a very informative and interesting way to see the key sights of Budapest.
Tour was a great overview of the Pest side. Glad we did the tour our first day to get an idea of what we wanted to see further. Tour guide was very good and did a great job!
Our guide Kristina was good, knowledgeable. However, the itinerary that was advertised was not exactly as delivered, which was disappointing.
