We had a pleasant stay at Park Plaza. The rooms are decent, and the view of the Danube River with the Hungarian Parliament building is absolutely amazing — definitely the highlight of the hotel. However, there are a few areas that need improvement. The restaurant’s listed opening hours extend until midnight, but the kitchen closes much earlier, making it difficult to get a proper meal late in the evening. The hotel should clearly communicate the kitchen timings online. Check-in is at 3 PM, and the waiting time can be quite long. The lobby was full of guests waiting for their rooms, and even messaging the hotel beforehand did not seem to help. Overall, the location and views are excellent, but better restaurant service and a smoother, more organised check-in process would significantly improve the guest experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Park Plaza Budapest. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The highlight was definitely the beautiful view over the Danube and the Hungarian Parliament — wonderful during the day and especially impressive at night. The breakfast was amazing, with so many choices and such a great variety that it was actually hard to decide what to eat! There were just two minor issues. The bathroom lighting was quite dim, making it a bit challenging to use the mirror. Also, our room door had a lot of friction against the frame, so you really had to push or pull hard to close it properly. On the positive side, I think I grew some muscles doing that every day! 😊 Other than these small things, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great location, fantastic views, excellent breakfast, and a very comfortable bed.
Perfect Location for Exploring Budapest We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent for exploring Budapest — close to the Chain Bridge, Fisherman’s Bastion, and Buda Castle. Margaret Island is about a 30-minute walk away, while the 5th District and the Parliament are just across the river. The staff were very professional and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of choices. A great advantage is that the hotel has a parking garage available for its guests, which is very convenient if you are travelling by car. Overall, a good hotel in a fantastic location, especially for a first visit to Budapest.
We stayed in the Danube River Suite and the view was absolutely stunning. The staff throughout the hotel provided excellent service, and breakfast offered a great variety of fresh options. The lobby restaurant staff were equally attentive, and the lunch we had there was excellent. One small note: the carpet in our room looked a bit dated and could use an update, but it didn't take away from an otherwise great stay.
The day of checking in was a complete mess. I arrived as a large group of 25 as part of an end of a Travel Marvel river cruise booking. We arrived at 10am knowing the rooms wouldn’t be ready until 3. But the attitude of the entire reception staff was that of being disinterested and rude. It was an extremely hot day at 33 degrees and a public holiday. The air con in the reception was totally ineffective. There were 25 people sitting in the reception area for 5 hours. It was too hot to go anywhere on a public holiday. Our clothes were packed in our luggage so we couldn’t change into cooler clothes. At no time did any front of house staff try to update any of us on the progress of our rooms becoming ready. No one suggested where we might be able to get a drink or food. Travel marvel really need to think about their partner relationship with Radisson Park Plaza. This appalling level of customer service really soured my end of trip enjoyment.
