Intercityhotel Budapest

Overall a good hotel with good location. Rooms are well equipped, spacious and the overall feel is very good. However, i was quite disappointed of the way the hotel handled my bad mattress complaint. It was very uncomfortable with one side literally unsleepable. and when i asked to change it my, request was not met. 😞 Disappointing. Another Annoyment which was more typical for a 2 star hotel is the luggage storage room. The hotel uses a 3rd party locker service which charges 6 EUR an hour. And the Large bins were occupied. The staff made a call to the manager and they somehow opened one of the bins for me. Really not something i would expect from a 4 star hotel. You already have the room, why breaking the guests heads with the luggage?

Knock it off, stop looking and go ahead and feel like you can book here. We stayed at Intercity hotel for 4 nights in September 2026. Hotel was fairly priced, affordable. Lobby is spacious, clean. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel or hang out in the hotel bar in the evenings but noticed a lot of other guests doing so. Staff was friendly, easy to communicate with, and assisted with requests like late checkout and extra pillows. Rooms were clean and modern. A/C worked, storage space you unpack while traveling, clean, comfortable. We'd highlight the very good water pressure and nice shower, certainly a positive. If you plan on making use of Budapest's public transit, hotel is fantastically convenient to a main metro line and some bus lines. We used public transit throughout our stay and it was very easy to get around the city from the hotel - to Buda side, to Pest center city, out to a restaurant or thermal baths. Location absolutely a plus for getting around without hassle. Would recommend. No complaints at all about our stay.

Great room, wonderful staff and a fantastic location, especially for a couple of days touring the cities sites. The only thing lacking was somewhere to leave your luggage after checking out if you wanted to spend a few more hours in the city before travelling to the airport. The hotel outsources luggage storage to a third party, and their rates are quite extortionate. In my view, this should be a complimentary service provided by the hotel. We’ve stayed in many hotels that offer luggage storage after checkout as part of the service and guest experience. Aside from this, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return.
