What a really lovely hotel. Staff were so polite and helpful. We arrived early and we were about to check in and go to our room. We asked to check out late as we had an afternoon flight and the staff kindly allowed us... if you don't ask you don't get! Breakfast was great and lots of it. Hotel very central. Room was nice and clean, strange door though to bathroom that doesn't really close but who needs privacy when you're with your other half. Would definitely recommend you stay there.

I had a wonderful time in Budapest, the staff at the Ikonik Hotel were great. Especially Mpho who was a wonderful receptionist, and helped elevate my experience with her exceptional customer service. I would recommend tourists to this hotel. Thanks
Great Hotel & Good Value Ikonik Parlament Hotel is a wonderful, good value 4-Star hotel. Great location, short walk to the Parlament Building on the Danube. There are less expensive hotels in the area but the staff here is excellent, rooms are spacious and comfortable, the internet is fast, and the buffet breakfast is fabulous. I will stay here on my next visit to beautiful Budapest. Highly recommended.
I booked an airport transfer through the hotel for €59. On the form on their website I selected the arrival window of 9:00–10:00 a.m., since my flight arrived at 9:30 a.m., which was the only arrival information the form requested. When we arrived at the airport, no driver was there. After calling the hotel multiple times and waiting around 1.5 hours, we were eventually told to take an Uber instead and that it would be reimbursed. Because of national holiday road closures, the Uber could not drop us near the hotel and we had to walk about 15 minutes with our luggage. When we arrived at the hotel, Mpho at reception was extremely kind and apologetic. She acknowledged that the transfer had been missed and refunded 12,500 HUF for the Uber. She also told us the €59 transfer fee would be refunded by management since the service had not been provided. However, when I followed up later with reception, the experience was completely different. Marcell from management was dismissive and refused to refund the €59 transfer, even though the service was never delivered and staff had already acknowledged the mistake. The way this was handled by management was extremely disappointing. Instead of correcting the mistake, they chose to argue about technicalities even though they had our arrival window, phone number, and email and could easily have contacted us if any information was missing. On top of this, the shower in the room was also problematic, with the door falling apart and the shower coming off the wall. Because of how this situation was handled by management, we decided to leave the hotel early and move to another hotel, losing the cost of the remaining night of our stay. Mpho’s hospitality was excellent and she did her best to help, but the way management handled the situation completely overshadowed that. Very disappointing experience overall. I would not recommend staying here. Update: Marcell reached out the next day to apologize and said the difference in the transfer will be refunded. I then had to fight for a refund for the transfer from the hotel to the airport that I won't be using. In total €76 will be refunded. They failed and refused to provide a refund for our unused night where we left earlier than expected so I'm still out around €100.
Great location - just a 2 min walk to the Parlament building and about 10 - 15 to the shops (if you walk at a faster than google tell you pace like me). Rooms are very nice, decor could do with some update - the room (109) clearly has damp / past leak damage on the cealing in the bathroom. Having a bath in the room was a plus, but alas - there was no plug for it, there was one for the sink, but this was smaller than the plughole for the bath. The shower had good water pressure tho, so that somewhat made up for the no bath using!. Bedroom was of a generous size and the bed itself was very comfy. Pillows and Quilts were of good quality. Reception staff were always friendly and welcoming. Free Tea & Coffee in the lobby (make sure you utlise this) tho I did miss having these facilities in the room directly - as having to go to the lobby to get a morning coffee just to take it back to the room to get ready for the day did lose it's novelty on day 3 (of a 5 night stay). I did ask housekeeping if I could have a kettle etc in the room, but as one did not appear, the ask may have got lost in translation. My mother and mother-in-law has the room next to me (108) and they also gave no complaints of their room other than the standard - not enough hangers (come on hotel industry, sort this out) and decor updates etc etc. We would most def stay again if in Budapest in the future.
