Danubius Grand Hotel Margitsziget

Wasn’t sure where to stay booked 3 nights here and planned to stay in the city one night. However after 1 night extended the stay here. Really lovely turn of the century hotel. The spa facilities are excellent. Sauna, steam room, pool and a range of thermal pools at different temperatures. Also swimming pool and gym, even some exercise classes. Great changing facilities and you can walk through in your robe and slippers through an underground tunnel which is fabulous. The spa is extremely clean too. The breakfast had loads of variety of good quality food. There was such a wide selection, that even as vegetarians we were really happy. Fruits, hot dishes, pasties, cheeses, honeycomb, yoghurts, kefir, nuts, seeds etc The bed was so comfortable too. The whole hotel is spotless. The staff are lovely. Really good value. I spent ages wondering which hotel to book but so pleased I booked this on Margarite island. The history of the island is interesting too. We were able to walk through the park into town. Gorgeous park with no traffic. You can catch the 26 bus but we walked about 30 mins to district 13. Could not be happier with choice of hotel. Can thoroughly recommend.

The location is beautiful so much to see and do. The rooms and bed very comfortable . The Breakfast was delicious so much to chose from. Sat in the outside restaurant for a meal and drinks. Loved having a drink by the outside pool too. ThecSpas thermal pools are wonderful. Hope to be back again.

beautiful hotel on a very nice danube island. quiet at nights, good breakfast and friendly staff. we enjoyed the spa at the Margaret source. good bus connections and affordable parking for guests. the water pressure in the room shower is weak but sufficient

Very comfortable clean room with excellent air conditioning. Located in a calm green area. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast with the option to order alternative egg dishes. Nice termal SPA at the sister hotel. You could easily spend your whole stay at the hotel. BUT consider opening the main restaurant also for dinner. The food options are a bit weak.
