It's a great tour, and Tom is a wonderful guide: funny, thorough, and knowledgeable. I'd wholeheartedly recommend him! One thing Viator should have mentioned about this tour: the EUR 2.99 you are paying is obviously not how much this tour costs or is worth. At the end, you give the tour guide whatever you think is right: EUR 10/15/20 or more, and I think this is absolutely fair, but it should definitely have been mentioned in the ad so everyone remembers to have their purse on them.

Adelin was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable about his city. He provides a bit of comedy with a lot of history. Highly recommend!
Tom was is a wonderful guide. Has a very nice way of imparting much information through storytelling. Highly recommend.
Very informative, dynamic tour guide. Bit of history, a few iconic sights. Fun history of certain beers as well
A fantastic tour. We had Tom who was super balanced, thoughtful, funny and engaging in his tour. He was very knowledgable and always willing to answer questions and give recommendations. Thank you for the highlight of our stay!
Wonderful 2 hour tour. Very knowledgeable guide.
Tom is an amazing Guide. He was very personable, knowledgeable and entertaining. We highly recommend him.
If you're looking for a quick overview of central Brussels with historical facts shared, this one's for you. It gives you great bearings of the area around the Grand Place, some eating and beer tips, and key top history points of Brussels and Belgium as a country. Our guide shared that the 'usual' tip amount is 20 to 25 euros per person. Sharing this to help with budgeting.
I advise all travellers to Brussels looking for a guided walking tour to avoid Ambassadors of Brussels. My husband and I were in Brussels on 5 October 2026 and had prebooked and paid for the Tell Me About Brussels walking tour, which was to last 2.5 hours. On arrival at the Grand Place, we met our prospective guide, who immediately informed us that the tour would likely be cancelled for lack of demand as we were the only ones wanting to take part. He assured us that another tour with a colleague would start half an hour later with enough participants to go ahead and that he would text his colleague to register us. We waited, waited and waited some more. No colleague ever appeared and neither did other prospective participants. We felt deceived and disappointed. We ended up taking part in a 'free' tour with a rival company, which was excellent.
Excellent tour guide in Tom he had the right amount of humour with excellent knowledge and history. Would definitely recommend doing this tour as it gives you an overview of the city in a short time
Great way to see and understand the history of some of Brussels' landmarks. Also great tips on local food and beverages.
Tom was a brilliant tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. One of our best tours
Excellent walking tour - one of the best I've joined out of many in the last few years. Tom's humour and stories made time fly by, and he was attentive to the needs of the group. His wealth of knowledge showed real passion for the city and topics he presented.
Very informative and entertaining tour! Would highly recommend. Tom our guide was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations on where to eat etc
Tom was an amazing guide. Not only did we get the relevant historical and interesting facts but it was done in a fun way that engaged the group and encouraged questions and the desire to see and hear more.
Our guide showed up exactly on time at the designated place. He was very informative and entertaining. The tour was only 2 hours but our guide covered the main highlights of Brussels. It was a great way to start any first-time visit to Brussels at a very good price.
Tom was very engaging, funny, and knowledgeable! We started in Grand Place and walked around to a few different areas while learning about Brussels’ vast history and culture. He provided a list of recommendations for bars, restaurants, beers, movie theaters, etc at the end of the tour which was very much appreciated. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to get an overview of Brussels!
Amazing tour with local ethical collective. I learnt so much about the city, its history and its social make up over time. It put a totally different spin on the city for me. The storyteller was willing to tailor the tour to our interests and stamina too! I really appreciated the local recommendations too, especially as I was only in the city for a short time. 10/10
Such a great way to explore the landmarks and history of Brussels. Our guide (I think his name was Thomas) was so knowledgeable and kind. He was thorough in answering everyone’s questions and helped make our first day in Brussels a success. A must do for anyone traveling here for the first time.
Tom was a fantastic tour guide - upbeat, friendly and informative! My family and I had a great time learning about Brussels. The walk was fairly easy with well thought out places to sit and chat. We also appreciated all the local recommendations. Would definitely recommend!
This was our first time in Brussels. We weren’t sure where to go so decided to do a walking tour first. The price on Trip Advisor was very affordable and worth it. Our tour guide was Tom and we were quite fortunate to get him. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a nice sense of humor. He knew everything about everything. I highly recommend this walking tour.
What an exceptional tour we just had with Adelin today. His warmth, humour and knowledge of the area was fantastic. We are already sampling some of his recommended eateries - perfect balance of history, arts food and culture. We were hooked throughout - thank you Adelin
TOM was our guide with whom we enjoyed a 2 1/2 hour guided tour around the sites and sounds of Brussels showing a deep knowledge of the historical, political and the essential " his grandfather' information. He was a pleasure to be with and tailored his talk to the enquiries of the group. He interacted eell with the group and was mindful of the high temperature at the time. Recommended.
This walking tour was excellent. We often book a tour our first day in a city, and Tom was exceptional. Highly recommend if you want an intro to Brussels and like history. This was entertaining and informative.
The walking tour enlightened me to Brussels! Tom, our tour guide was knowledgeable and was able to answer our additional questions. He was able to provide us with additional stops and offered recommended restaurants, etc. during our stay in Brussels. I would highly recommend this walking guided tour. I would do it again.
Tom was good humored and very knowledgeable. He kept the group moving and on time. Definitely worth experiencing if time permits.
The tour itself was great. Our original time slot did not have enough people so we were passed to a group that started 15 mins later. The original guide stayed with us and pointed introduced us to the one who eventually led the tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. I’ve done a Brussels tour before and he added much more info than a previous one I took.
Tom was a lovely guide and despite the heavens opening remained engaging throughout and even had spare brollies for people a wonderful tour enjoyed by all
Quentin, our guide, provided me with a light-hearted introduction to Brussels, both the city and its people. At the same time, his presentation was factual and thought-provoking, yet very respectful when describing its history. I found this tour to be very, very good.
Adlin was an excellent guide, so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about his city. Definitely recommend this tour
We had a young tour guide whose name escapes me. I’m sorry. But he was informative, funny and took us to all the spots we needed to hit for a day trip. It was rainy but that did not stop us. And he had a built in bathroom break which many people appreciated. My husband and I would highly recommend. Be sure to come prepared with cash for tipping as this is how you pay for the tour. Although he may have had a QR code for payment as well.
Our guide, Tom, was not good. He was trying to be charismatic but came off as just plain odd. Used the f word multiple times, had very little historically relevant or interesting information to share and made several references to feeling that he’d failed his father. We participated in five guided tours during our European vacation and this was the only one in which several participants left during the course of the tour.
Guide was friendly & very informative.
I would highly recommend this tour! This was our second tour with Ambassadors and Tom was an excellent guide! He was informative, fun, and easy to understand. Great to learn about Brussels from a local! Great recommendations too!
Tom was outstanding! very knowledgeable and accommodating! he was nice, smart, and super orth the money! and excellent yse of your time and introduction to brussels and belgium!
Terrible experience. Met the guide at the meeting point and was told it was being postponed 30 mins when his colleague would arrive because we only had 5 people in the group. Nobody ever showed!
Apparently there were some no-shows, as the guide said he couldn’t proceed without a minimum number of six. Having waited 10 minutes, the guide called the tour off and asked us to come back in half an hour for a “guaranteed” departure. So I looked for the yellow umbrella half an hour later, but no one turned up. I couldn’t reach anyone on WhatsApp. It wasn’t an entirely wasted afternoon as I was able to join a 2-hour ADVENTOURS walking tour and that was great. I don’t trust Ambassadors and can’t recommend them.
Nick was a great storyteller, a friendly guide and super knowledgeable. A fun way to get to see the Grand Place area.
We booked this tour last minute after a private tour was unexpectedly canceled. It’s our first time to Brussels, so perhaps we were just not accustomed to the quirkiness of local Belgians. To be honest, our tour guide’s crazy stories, and overall “schtick” got a bit tiresome in a short amount of time. The tour ran long – (close to three hours), and I noticed that while we were a small group to start with, half the group left the tour before it was finished. Again, I realize it is difficult to keep a group of foreigners entertained and interested, but this just wasn’t a favorite for me.
The guide Alinde was excellent
Absolutely great tour guide, Tom, he was delightful. He is very detailed and informative! Gave us information on the city but also little inside tips of what and where to eat, drink, and see Brussels like a native.
The tour was very informative and interesting! Our guide Quentin was very open and funny. He kept us laughing with his stories from the city. This tour is great for a quick introduction to the city and combines local stories with a little history. I would highly recommend!
This tour made us fall in love with Brussels. Tom had the perfect balance of history, comedy, and storytelling while taking us around the city. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting Belgium. Oh and a bonus is the food and drink recommendations we got from our local tour guide. All the rest our meals with be “Tom-approved!”
Tom was a great speaker and fun wit. A local with a great knowledge of all the sights and history of both Belgium and Brussels. Highly recommend!
Tom has loads of energy and very knowledgeable of his home City. Some amusing story telling.
Christophe was fantastic! The tour was informative and fun.
Tom was a great guide. I loved all of his stories about the history of Brussels. He was quite funny too. Thank you Tom, for introducing us to a new city!
Tom was a great guide. Not only did he provide interesting historical background, interspersed with humor, he also shared practical local insider tips with us about Brussels while we are here visiting. Our tour was well paced and he even managed to work in a quick bio break which was helpful. If I were going to be here longer I would do another tour (different topic) with Tom again.
This tour was a great way to get oriented to Brussels. We got a good sense of the history and culture, gained new perspectives on some spots on everybody's list of things to see, and were alos introduced to some more obscure and out of the way places. Tom was a great guide. Very knowledgable, funny, and attentive to his tour group's needs. We appreciated his personal perspective on a range of topics, from beer to food, to the darker side of Belgian colonialism.
Fantastic tour. Tom was funny and informative. I've done free walking tours across 10+ countries in Europe, and this one was definitely in the top 3!
