Eric was very kind and considerate, understanding that we had just come from an international flight, so he did a great job helping us get our bearings around the city for the first time. As we walked through the tour he pointed out all the places he recommends as a local in the city, including a fantastic rooftop bar where we were able to get a panoramic view of the city. He did a great job of walking us through the history from the roots of Brussels all the way to how it got to where it is now present day culturally.

Wonderful tour to get to know the area, the. history, and recommendations! Tiago was extremely knowledgeable and friendly!
Excellent time with Tiago! He was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. He shared lots of information about the history and culture of Brussels. Tiago also gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants and other activities! An excellent start to our trip!
Eric did a great job, leading us to view the whole city of Brussels and started the history lesson. He fielded many questions and had to listen to our stories, but ultimately we felt so good about the city and needed to try out their beers , fries, and chocolates, all that's left is the waffles. Thank you Eric, we enjoyed your tour.
Absolutely loved our tour with Tiago! He was so warm and welcoming he immediately felt like a friend. He gave us great recommendations for food, chocolate and cocktails but best of all had such knowledge of the history of Brussels! Highly recommend this tour it’s a 10 out of 10!!
Very mild walking Tour of some FANTASTIC historical areas of the city, with great photo opportunities and an experienced guide! The spots you visit are iconic and our guide, Asefeh, was knowledgeable, personable and accomodative of our many questions. This was better than I had expected and now we will spend the rest of our day going back to immerse ourselves in the areas we we introduced to and the shops she recommended. We are having an excellent Belgium waffle right now, before checking out the museums and sampling some chocolates and beers!!! Highly recommend this tour. Just the right amount of time!
Christophe was engaging and knowledgeable. His tour is really the perfect way to kickstart your visit in Brussels. Highly recommend.
Great kick start tour. The content ranged from historic to shopping and dining recommendations. Also he met us at our hotel which was convenient.
My sister and I had such a fabulous time with Tiago! He covered everything and gave us great recommendations along the way. Highly recommend taking a tour with Tiago!
Getting info on the history of Brussels was really good. So many chocolate shops to choose from; The fries were awesome. Our guide was very knowledgeable and very courteous.
Our first time in Brussels and our guide Tiago started us off with the best tips, places to see and eat. The history of Belgium and Brussels to help us understand where we are was very helpful and insightful to immerse ourselves in the culture.
We had a great time with Christophe. He easily mixed the cultural in with in local Belgian beers so we had a nice relaxing cultural tour of the old city center. His knowledge of local culture and customs as well as the history was a real. He also was able to show us some aspects that many tourists never see. We highly recommend Christophe as a great guide choice.
Wonderful short tour ! Charming city! Wonderful guide ! Next time we'll have a longer tour :) Thank you Christophe !
Our guide Tiago was great!! Very knowledgeable. Friendly and keeps you laughing. He showed us some interesting sites.
Christopher went above and beyond to assist us when our train was late. He spent a significant amount of time showing up the city and explaining the history. He was very cognizant of our preferences as well.
Tiago was very knowledgeable about Brussels history. He gave a lot of good stories. He also gave great recommendations for bars and places to eat. We went to one such restaurant and it was well worth it. Delicious. I'd highly recommend Tiago.
Tiago was an amazing guide. He showed us all the high points and hidden treasures of Brussels. Great recommendations on food and shopping. His knowledge of the Market Square was so interesting.
Great way to start learning about Brussels! Very knowledgeable guide, Shanthuru, who catered our preferences to learn more about the beginning of Brussels and see both main historical buildings but also a few areas off the beaten path. Wonderful tour.
This was our first experience with a “WithLocals tour”. Christophe was great and easy communication ahead with our delayed train. It was nice to maneuver the city in a private tour without a large group.
We had a great time with Christophe on our private kickoff tour of Brussels. He was very knowledgeable, personable and had a great sense of humor. We enjoyed every bit of our tour today!
Christophe provided us with great insight to the city along with wonderful stops for the best beer, fries, waffles and chocolate. Loved his passion for Brussels along with his desire to share his favorite food stops. A perfect blend of both history and culture. Truly a wonderful day! Our family ranged in ages 18-81 and all enjoyed their time with Christophe. A personally adapted your just for us which was perfect!
We had the best time with Christophe! He customized our tour so we didn’t waste any time with things that didn’t interest us. He was very knowledgeable of the city and very friendly. We covered a lot of ground in the short time that we had, and it was exactly what we needed! Highly recommend!
We had a great experience with Mariana, an excellent way to kick off our trip. Mariana shared interesting information and stories that really highlight Brussels history. We visited several well known and lesser known sights, making the tour feel unique and personal based on interests communicated before the tour began. An hour and a half is prefect to get a nice overview without being too overwhelming; Mariana kept a good pace without long periods of standing. I would highly recommend a tour with Mariana to start your trip.
We saw things in Brussels that were famous, and things that were not. We saw the city from the perspective of a guide who clearly loves his city and loves his job. The tour show us how to find things and what to look for.
Excellent areas of the city were covered. The guide was timely and very friendly. He pointed out interesting stories and made it very interesting.
Thiago was great… mixed in local details on best places to eat chocolate, waffles, proper Belgian fries, and a cost effective Michelin restaurant on top! Teenagers really enjoyed the mix of history with some laughs. Thank you Thiago!
Tiago was an excellent host. He tailored our tour to fit what we wanted to see and threw in several fun and interesting things to give us an appreciation for Brussels and some insight into the history and culture of Belgium. Definitely worth the price.
We were in Brussels for one day and decided to book a city tour to get all the highlights. Our tour guide Tiago did a fantastic job showing us around and explaining significant things that we would have missed if we had gone on our own. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Thank you Tiago for a wonderful day in Brussels!
Our tour guide Elodie had a tough mission: an extra crispy group of four of us, just off an overnight and sleepless flight. We needed energy, wisdom and patience and Elodie brought all of those things. In 90 minutes, we saw and heard and tasted a lot and (most crucially given our state) never stopped moving for long — Elodie delivered on every count. From speculoos to Jacques Brel to the multiple legends of the Manneken Pis, Elodie covered a lot of ground. Maybe my favorite bits were the Goodfellas-like, in through one door out the other walk throughs of legendary pubs and estaminets that Elodie navigated us through expertly. We used the tips and guidance Elodie gave us throughout our time in Brussels, to great advantage. By all means do this tour early in your trip (maybe take a nap first! Live and learn) to get your bearings. Merci Elodie!
We stopped for a night in Brussels and found a great 90 minute walking tour that showcased many popular sites of Brussels. Tiago was a great guide and helpful with suggestions on how to spend 8 hours in an amazing city! Thank you!
We had a wonderful tour with Mariana who took us off the beaten track to see some hidden gems! She was very friendly and knowledgeable! Highly recommend!!
I had already been in Brussels a few days but decided to do a tour so I could understand more about what I was seeing. Tiago was a fantastic guide and not only provided great insight into things I'd seen previously but also took me to spots I'd never seen nor would I have gone. I can't recommend Tiago and this tour enough.
I had already explored Brussels on my own but decided to book a tour. My guide was Tiago and the tour was fantastic. He was a great source of local knowledge and history, and pointed out things of interest that I'd literally walked by previously without understanding what I was looking at. Great tips for food, beer and chocolate. as well. I'm glad I have more time to explore now that I have had the tour. I can't recommend this enough!
This tour was great. Learned a lot about Brussels. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it.
Really interesting tour. We saw those little gems off the beaten track and all the mainstream attractionsm
We loved Brussels thanks to our guide, Christopher. We got a little lost and Christopher helped guide us to the meeting point. After that, he took us on a GREAT local tour without the group anxieties. Loved it!
Tiago knows all the great places for food and drinks. A Kickstart tour is the perfect beginning for a few days in Brussels.
The history behind each famous spot in a quick synopsis! Tiago told us where to go and not go. Would highly recommend the French fry spot! Perfect tour for our family of 5 ages 11-72.
Tiago was a great guide with an excellent introduction to Brussels. He explained some history and took us to some key sites before giving us some great tips on where to get the best examples of all the food that Brussels is famous for. Would definitely recommend this tour as an introduction to the city.
It was our second trip to Bruges with Viator. The first was Ghent and Bruges with Andrea. It was wonderful. This trip not so much. No AC on bus even when requested, no working microphone on bus so guide said we did not need to hear his voice. There were no boxes provided to the guide which made it difficult to hear. The guide provided interesting stories but I cannot remember his name and maybe that was because at times he was hard to understand. When the trip ended it felt like we just got off the bus and that was it. Bruges was memorable because that is Bruges however this Viator experience was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
OMG where do I start with this company?! I booked it for nov 26,2021 for 10am and guide requested to move it for later time which we agreed on but later on I moved it to next day and I did that via Viator/Trip Advisor (flying from US). I get a confirmation text from Christophe which is fine as well but now that EU cases have gone up and other countries that we were planning to visit along with Belgium went into lockdown (Netherlands) we decided to postpone our trip. I cancelled by bookings and I get a message this morning saying “don’t bother with me with your incapability to decide”. Christophe what I don’t understand is why do you think I owe you an explanation for each booking/canceling I do via third party vendor like trip advisor/Viator ? I’m doing all my transactions within deadline and via third party. Please don’t tell me that you were showing my concerns or confirming as an excuse because what you replied today doesn’t seem like one. And especially COVID being around you should be more understanding about travels and maybe educate yourself about entry requirements and current situation in EU I’m attaching the pics of all the convos for the reference and I hope trip advisor looks into this UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR!! TALK ABOUT HARASSING TO THE NEXT LEVEL WHEN IM GOING THROUGH THIRD PARTY TO BOOK ALL MY TOURS
Elodie was wonderful! Very nice and bubbly personality. She took us to some highlights of Brussels and gave plenty of great recommendations. She was the best part about our visit to Brussels!
This is a highly recommended tour / guide, such a positive vibe! We went to places we wouldn’t seen ourselves (and I didn’t see in other tours I participated years ago). Polite, pleasant, friendly sharing information, knowledge and recommendations, and he seemed to enjoy it also! Me (the gen-x-er), my son (the zoom-er) and my daughter (zoom-er also, who usually hates guided tours) really enjoyed it.
My tour was excellent In the midst of a pandemic with no tourism going on I was able to be led around the city with a very knowledgeable and kind guide Marianna. We kept social guidelines and we enjoyed the experience as best as we could. I recommend this tour and my guide😃
We had a 90 minute guided tour with Elodie on Saturday afternoon. We were only in Brussels for the day, so an hour and a half was the perfect amount of time to spend on a tour. She did have to race around to fit everything in, but it was an enjoyable experience, saw things we wouldn't otherwise have seen.
Informative tour of the history of Brussels, delivered in a fun and exciting way. Super tour guide! Thank you!
DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR I booked a private 90 minute tour in Brussels through Trip Advisor. I waited for 15 minutes at the instructed meeting place but my guide, Estafania, did not show up. I called the company, Withlocals, who did not apologize for my guide not showing up and could not provide me an estimated timeframes for when I would receive my money back. This is the extremely unprofessional service you will get for paying almost $75 Canadian dollars.
The walking tour of Brussels gave an idea of the wonders this city has to offer. Estefi and I met a bit late, but everything went very well. She as very nice, knowledgeable, easy going and made me feel at ease; pointed out important key info about the city, gave very good recommendations, and also spoke Spanish a a bonus, gracias Estefi!
Estefania gave us a very good tour around central Brussels. This was a good start of our tour since this was our first time in the cilty.
First the good part. We saw the Grand Place, the beautiful historic shopping arcade, nice shops, and were directed to a great fries place. Our guide was nice enough. Unfortunately, she had only been in Belgium for a year, had a superficial knowledge of the country, didn’t respond to our phone messages, was 15 minutes late and finished the tour 15 minutes early. Good idea, but not well executed.
