St. Michael’s Church (Sint-Michielskerk) is a beautiful and historic church located in Sint-Michielsplein, Ghent, Belgium. This stunning Gothic church is one of the city's most significant landmarks, known for its striking architecture and historical importance. The church was originally built in the 15th century, and its construction was completed over several decades, making it a remarkable example of Flemish Gothic style.
Graslei and Korenlei are two picturesque streets in Ghent, Belgium, located along the banks of the River Lys (Leie). These streets are among the most iconic and beautiful parts of the city, offering a glimpse into Ghent’s medieval history and vibrant present.
Ghent
St. Bavo’s Cathedral (Sint-Baafskathedraal) in Ghent, Belgium, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a stunning example of Gothic architecture. This grand cathedral, located in the heart of Ghent, is known not only for its architectural beauty but also for its historical and artistic significance.
MinnewaMinnewater Lake (also known as Lake of Love) is a picturesque and serene spot located in the heart of Bruges, Belgium. This peaceful lake is one of the most beautiful places in the city, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling town center. It is situated near the Minnewater Park and is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect place for a leisurely walk or a romantic boat ride. The lake itself has a fascinating history, once being part of the city’s moat, but it is now known for its stunning views, particularly at sunset when the colors reflect off the water. The name "Minnewater" translates to "Lake of Love," which is tied to a local legend of a young couple in love.
The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaarde (Begijnhof Ten Wijngaarde) is one of Bruges' most tranquil and historic sites, offering a glimpse into the city’s past and its religious heritage. Established in the 13th century, it was home to a community of Beguines, women who lived a semi-religious life without taking formal vows. These women were typically unmarried or widowed and devoted themselves to prayer, charitable work, and living in communal harmony.
The heart of Bruges: the colourful Markt square, its guild houses and the 83-metre medieval Belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Climbing the tower is optional (ticket not included).
The Basilica of the Holy Blood (Basiliek van het Heilig Bloed) is one of the most important and revered landmarks in Bruges, Belgium. Located on the Burg Square, this basilica is renowned for housing a vial that is believed to contain a relic of the Holy Blood of Christ. The basilica is an essential site for both religious pilgrims and tourists due to its rich history, stunning architecture, and connection to Christian relics.
The most photographed spot in Bruges: the Rozenhoedkaai quay, where canals, medieval houses and the Belfry meet. From here you can take an optional 30-minute canal boat ride (ticket not included).
Windmills of Bruges are iconic structures that add to the charm and history of the city. Bruges is home to several well-preserved windmills, many of which were originally used for milling grain, pumping water, and other agricultural tasks. These windmills provide a unique glimpse into the city's medieval past and are popular attractions for visitors.

Picked up by a clean, professional driver from the hotel. The vehicle was new & clean. The driver spoke English and spoke to us to share areas of Brussels as we went to Brugge. The tour guide met us in Brugge and we did a walking tour. It was fabulous! We had lunch, did a little more touring in Brugge, then to Gent which was also an interesting city to learn about. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see & learn about these areas in a day.
We were dropped off at the perimeter of the old city. Walking these cities was the best way to see the sights. We saw old canals, bridges, a monastery, churches, the cathedral, town hall and other beautiful old buildings. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Bruges was our favorite city. The cobbled streets and old stories and fables were very interesting and captivating.
It was great!! Very informative and thorough. Driver was competent. Henry was our guide and he was packed a great day of practical, informative and entertaining experiences. The cathedral in Bruges is not to be missed.
we enjoyed our day very much. Highly recommend. Our tour guide was VERY knowledgable and was very happy to go at our pace. His driver was about 30 mins late for pick up. Guide was not happy about this either. Was fine with adding the time on at the end of the day to make up for it :)
Old architecture in Bruce. This review is way too long and Is mandatory to complete. My impression is that the length of comments should not be required
This was a horrific experience and I would not recommend. It was horrible. Our guide did not speak clear English. We asked to do several things and he ignored all requests. Then he insisted on eating lunch with us and stuck me with paying for his lunch and never acknowledged it or thanked me. He definitely ruined Bruges and Ghent for us. What a waste of money.
This was a great day trip from our Brussels bnb for the family (including 77year old and a 7year old). The weather was spotty so our guide Dirk flipped the itinerary and we wound up missing all of the rain that way (great move!). We hit the highlights of the two medieval cities. A fair amount of walking is required for these places, which we were used to.
Viator rebooked us for this tour company after our initial tour company canceled at the last minute. We were thankful that this company filled in, but unfortunately, it was not a good tour. The first issue occurred when we were messaged by our tour guide in the morning that he was coming to pick us up in his "Comfort car." We spent hundreds more on a "luxury car," and the tour operator was unwilling to offer a refund for the price difference. They offered us 150 Euro back or a free lunch. The price difference is more than double what they offered. They made the excuse of commission costs, last minute booking, yadda yadda. They were unwilling to make it right. After that debacle, we were uncertain whether we even wanted to take the tour because it was already off on the wrong foot. But, since we were left high and dry, we decided to take a chance. Next, our tour operator shows up. He tried his best, but he didn't know the country well. He only lived there for five years and did tours as a side hustle on the weekends. NOT GOOD. I would expect an expert tour guide who knows the country well and can speak clear English for the amount we paid. After that, the tour itself was sub-par. We waited a long time for the guide to find parking, had to pay for items ourselves, were rushed along, and ultimately didn't enjoy the country as we would have liked. Be aware of this company and what you pay for. They're out to get the most money out of you and not provide the service you paid for.
Excellent choice to visit both cities. Our driver and the guide were fantastic. We had time for a river cruise in Bruges and it was amazing. Definitely great way to see both cities
This was a fabulous day trip. Camillo was a very pleasant and knowledgeable guide. Well worth the $. Would highly recommend!!!
Walter was one of the most knowledgeable tour guide we have ever had. His knowledge of the history of wars was exceptional.
Henry was an excellent guide- knowledgeable about Belgium history as well as the local history of Ghent. He modified the tour to fit our need as we had spent time visiting Bruges 2 days prior. We were able to see a few sights in Brussels on the route to Ghent. Highly recommend this tour/guide.
It is essentially a walking tour with car pick up and drop off. Our guide Henri was very knowledgeable of both Bruges and Ghent. The places are very pretty and beautiful.
We would give our tour an A+... Driver was perfect and our guide,Henri, simply amazing - he was so knowledgeable and fun to spend time with.. the day was well planned out and fantastic! Bruge was more touristy than we imagined but still very worthwhile- Ghent is a jewel! Henri walked us through the best spots and it was a wonderful day! Thank you!
So much history! Our host Mary was a font of knowledge. You see a lot with her at the helm. Great recommendations as well. Only downside is a long drive.
Very knowledgeable tour guide. Would highly recommend this private tour. The history and explanations were very interesting.
We loved seeing all the beautiful churches and art museums It was a day we will never forget, seeing the Madonna and Child by Michael Angelo at The Church of Our Lady of Laeken and the famous mystic lamb altar piece at the Bavo Cathedral. Our guide Henry was incredible and made sure we saw as much we could.
Our day trip was amazing. We had the best day in Ghent & Brugge. Spectacular cities to visit. Our driver arrived right on time with a very clean & spacious Mercedes Benz. He had waters & was a very good driver. When we got to Ghent, we met up With our tour guide Eric. He was our guide at Ghent & Brugge. He was very friendly & extremely knowledgeable. Wr had a fantastic day.
Eric was the best tour guide we’ve had in our multiple trips to Europe. He was very friendly and easy to get along with. We loved how he told the known stories but then followed it with the since proven history. We’ll done!
Andrea was simply the best tour guide that we had on our tour of the Netherlands and Belgium. She was knowledgeable about architecture, art, history and culture of both Ghent and Bruges. She was perceptive and tailored the tour to our interests, striking the perfect balance between imparting information and allowing independent time for exploration. Also, she was witty with apropos one-liners that kept us chuckling.
Beautiful tour. Professional and knowledgeable tour guide. Very nice vehicle. Great driver. Amazing sites to see. A+
It's a magical place, like Adas's tale! The girl who attended us super attentive! I would repeat that tour many times, all super organized! I highly recommend it!
